My boyfriend and I have eaten a LOT of sushi around Philadelphia and this was hands down the freshest and most delicious sushi and sashimi we ever had. The staff was phenomenal and welcoming and the food was brought to our table so quickly. 10/10 experience.

Located in Philadelphia’s Diamond district this place serves super fresh sushi. I’m a huge sushi lover and just tried this spot for the first time and loved it. I’ll be adding this to my top places to re-order from! Highly recommending this place!

Excellent Service!! The sushi was pretty delicious but what impressed me was the friendliness of the staff here. Our waitress was very attentive and the kindly offered a high chair for my 10 month old which I refused then requested later during the late lunch. They even made a balloon animal for him! The place is spacious enough for strollers if you can haul it up about 5 steps. This place is either fairly new or very clean with that light and airy no-frills feel. I am already planning to return for more sushi.

One of my favorite sushi places in the city. They are fairly priced compared to other sushi restaurants and they have maintained their high quality for years. They have gluten free soy sauce and gluten free spicy mayo which is amazing. Ordering for delivery or eating in is awesome.

We came here for a snack/light dinner on Christmas day since we had a large lunch. We didn't have many options, but this turned out to be a great one. The food was tasty and the service was amazing - our server made a balloon animal for my nearly 1 year old daughter, and was extremely kind and patient with her.

Service is so nice. I asked for the lunch specials but they are only take our so the server brought me complimentary miso soup. Ordered the Spider Roll and Sweet potato roll. Everything was great. As a side note: all the plates and serving dishes were soo cute!

Great atmosphere, we arrived right around 5ish before the rush. We were seated immediately, and our waiter/host was welcoming and warm. Our drinks were served promptly, including our appetizers. Our sushi was delicious and our meals as well! Our boys enjoyed their dinner, especially the chicken katsu and rolls! The unagi was oishi! The restaurant was clean and welcoming, we will definitely come back here when we are back in the area!

Im really basic with sushi since I just started eating it. I had a tuna avocado roll and California roll both were very good. Then I had the teriyaki NY strip done medium rare and was very good also.

Low key the best sushi spot in Philadelphia. Service is amazing, the food is super fresh and delicious, and on top of that they ask for a fair price that’s totally worth what your getting. Great great great!

Great sushi in Old City / Washington Square area! The food is always so good & fresh. And we never have to wait long. The employees are very welcoming and nice. JJ even remembered us after coming in one time before months ago! The restaurant is clean and you can tell they put in a lot of work into giving the customers a good experience and care about good service. They even have the fancy, high quality napkins!

I’m Japanese and am very picky about the details of sushi that make it great or not so great like the texture of rice, rice to fish ratio, vinegar content, and even temperature of sushi. I’ve been sorely disappointed in sushi on the east coast coming from California, and have been persistent about finding sushi that is quality and affordable. Kotos appears to be run by Chinese people but despite that, the attention to detail of the quality of not only the fish but assembly is impressive. I always try the more ‘simple’ sushi like hamachi roll or salmon roll to get the true flavors sans the extra sauces and this place did not disappoint. On top of that, it is very affordable. Also felt safe as the waitress and chefs were masked as of 8/2021. Will be back again for sure!

I ordered takeout on Caviar. the fried rice is delicious and has great flavor. I got basic rolls, tuna avocado and spicy salmon and they were both very good.

Shumai was delicious! I ordered the sushi deluxe entree and was very underwhelmed. Rice portion under the fish was small and the fish in 6/9 pieces couldn’t be easily bitten through. Taste was average but texture was far below what I would expect from any restaurant.

We love this place! Great service. Fun and delicious rolls. It's a hidden gem in jewelers' row!

Koto Sushi is my go-to when I need to treat myself over lunch. They have an extensive menu without being overwhelming and offer a variety of lunch deals, both with their sushi and cooked options. The fish is always tasty, the miso soup is flavorful with plenty of seaweed, and my experience with their sushi, sashimi, and maki has always been great. They have an easy online ordering system, and their sushi lunches are ready for pickup (typically) in 15 minutes. They are still not offering dine-in options, but grabbing Koto and walking to one of the nearby parks makes it a non-issue. The people working there always greet me when walking in and are very friendly. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a solid sushi meal at reasonable prices when in the Jewelers' Row neighborhood.

Incredibly fresh sushi every time, I work across the street, and have always had wonderful, prompt service. The lunch specials are extremely fairly priced, and the owners are kind and attentive. Highly recommend for a lunch spot or dinner!

This sushi place was so good, me and my friend ordered so much, and everything was amazing. Highly recommend and fairly priced, decent-big sized portions. Also the owner was so kind and welcoming. I will definitely be going back

The food is great their harumaki which is their spring roll is perfect and I love their kani salad . Their lobster miso bisque is extremely scrumptious which I wish they had a greater bowl of that. The rate for lunch are great. Their sushi is priced very well. Their suppers is a little bit pricey yet they are an upscale sushi café. This is a pleasant spot in light of the fact that the team of servers is so kind and quick.

JJ the staff member was very helpful, and he even sang happy birthday to my daughter although the restaurant normally doesn't do it. They have the best sushi presentations I've ever seen, and their Salmon was cooked to perfection. I will definitely be coming here again and I recommend this place for others

This is a nice spot because the waitstaff is so kind and fast. Only thing the restaurant is hot but when I said can you put on air conditioning they did it immediately and I was cool as a cucumber. If you want a nice atmosphere that can help you destress come here!! I’m waiting for their general tso now I have a feeling it’s good. It just came it’s delicious . And they have fun Japanese sodas!!! And big glasses of wine !!! Fiji water and great Mochi !! Love!!! Nice quiet atmosphere, good music not loud . Great for couples and dining alone . I have gone to a lot of sushi places in Philly, but Koto was one of the best experiences I’ve had. We were greeted by JJ, who was the kindest man and server! My friend and I shared edamame, spicy tuna roll, spicy crab roll, Manhattan roll, and the lobster dynamite roll. Everything was delicious. We finished it off with mochi ice cream and cheesecake. Pricing is so reasonable and I spent significantly less than I was anticipating. Can’t wait to come back here!!

The rice is fresh, the wasabi powerful, and the taste is divine. The decor was tasteful and well thought out and blended nicely. I only ordered a sushi taster and a salmon roll but it was some of the best sushi that I've ever had. The bathrooms are something to be desired, its somewhat dirty and the lighting dim. The toilet and sink was very clean though and there was plenty of soap. The bathrooms do have a nice deadbolt as well.
