I
asked
to
be
bulk
billed
as
a
pensioner
and
the
admin
staff
said
it’s
up
to
the
doctor
but
they
could
cancel
my
appointment
and
let
me
know
if
the
doctor
wouldn’t
bulk
bill.
I
booked
and
received
a
confirmation
email
for
a
long
consultation
as
a
new
patient,
but
after
she
was
40
minutes
late
for
my
appointment
Dr
Boyce
told
me
it
was
a
standard
consultation
and
I
would
have
to
pay
$60.
When
I
told
her
the
above
she
said
“they’re
just
receptionists”
and
finally
agreed
to
bulk
bill
the
appointment
after
figuring
out
the
difference
between
a
health
care
card
and
a
disability
pension
card.
I
brought
a
medical
history
summary
from
my
current
GP
for
my
current
health
problems
and
Dr
Boyce
said
she
would
not
prescribe
me
schedule
8
drugs.
Then
she
realised
I
had
specialist
approval
and
said
she
wouldn’t
prescribe
all
of
them
together.
I
did
not
ask
for
any
scripts
during
this
appointment,
I
explained
that
I
had
supply
at
home
and
needed
to
transfer
my
schedule
8
authorised
prescriber
before
my
current
GP
goes
on
2
weeks’
leave
as
a
sole
practitioner.
She
couldn’t
understand
that
public
health
patients
don’t
receive
ongoing
care
from
specialists
after
diagnosis,
medication,
and
symptom
stabilisation
so
kept
asking
me
what
specialists
I’m
seeing
and
why
my
GP
is
prescribing
me
schedule
8
drugs.
She
also
refused
to
bulk
bill
telehealth
appointments
going
forward,
outright
lying
about
Medicare
policy
and
saying
“Medicare
will
come
after
me”,
insisting
I
must
attend
the
clinic.
I
am
eligible
for
telehealth
under
3
separate
exemptions
to
the
expiration
of
the
telehealth
items
in
the
MBS.
I
told
her
I
have
been
very
unwell
on
bed
rest
for
20
hours
a
day
since
June
2022
while
I
wait
for
urgent
organ
removal
surgery
in
late
November
2022.
This
is
not
a
clinic
for
low-income
chronically
ill
and/or
disabled
patients.
It’s
the
worst
GP
experience
I’ve
ever
had.
After
seeing
all
the
negative
reviews
about
Dr
Boyce
spanning
several
years
I
feel
like
an
idiot
for
not
checking
before
I
made
or
attended
my
appointment.
Doing
so
could
have
saved
me
the
humiliation
of
walking
out
of
the
clinic
in
tears
after
being
dismissed
as
a
drug
seeker
despite
imaging
results,
a
letter
from
a
specialist,
and
a
medical
history
from
my
current
GP
justifying
my
medication.
3
days
later
I
am
now
sick
with
symptoms
that
prevent
me
from
being
able
to
attend
any
other
health
care
facility
in
person
and
I
may
be
forced
to
delay
my
surgery.
I
will
now
be
without
a
GP
for
2
weeks
while
my
current
one
is
away.
The
first
time
I
left
my
house
in
months,
enduring
extreme
pain
to
do
so,
was
to
attend
this
clinic
and
be
insulted.
I
wore
a
mask
and
sanitised,
but
the
staff
at
no
point
during
my
hour
spent
there
wiped
anything
I
or
other
patients
had
to
touch
despite
there
being
a
maskless
child
open
mouth
wet
coughing
all
over
the
place.
I’m
making
a
complaint
to
HaDSCO.
The
practice
manager,
Rachel,
emailed
me
threatening
defamation
proceedings
by
Dr
Boyce’s
indemnity
insurance
if
my
Google
review,
that
the
clinic
requested
via
email,
remained
public.
I
have
evidence
for
every
statement
I
have
made
and
the
truth
is
an
absolute
defence
to
allegations
of
defamation.
Imagine
threatening
to
sue
a
disability
pensioner
over
a
justifiably
negative
review.
In
response
to
the
owner's
response:
Dr
Boyce
did
not
offer
to
prescribe
me
anything
during
my
appointment
and
if
my
consultation
notes
say
otherwise
they
have
been
falsified.
Why
would
she
offer
to
prescribe
medication
she
refused
to
prescribe?
That
doesn't
even
make
sense.
