Could not have been happier with our overall experience. Dwight and the team were so great with their service and food. Dwight’s passion for what he does, food, service and all, really makes this place special. Added that the food is amazing and that they were super accommodating to us being vegetarian, was the cherry on top. We will definitely be recommending that all of our friends and family come here, to experience what we did for themselves. Thanks Peasants Paradise and see you soon

The food and service were simply fantastic. In particular, the Berbere Spiced Chicken was heavenly in taste. The owner was very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. Even though the restaurant was already full, and we hadn't reserved a table, a spot was quickly arranged for us. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the evening here.

You have got to try this place. Super friendly owner/chef/waiter who explains the inspirations for the dishes - including his Mum’s recipes - which are amazing, different textures and tastes coming through with each. The beef mince curry was our favourite but the Kulfi dessert was a close second. We’ll definitely be back 👍

Just discovered this restaurant and so happy we decided to try it. The food is amazing - a fusion of flavors. I especially love w that the vegetable dishes were well considered and so delicious. We had the octopus (perfectly done) and the broccoli and pumpkin vegetable sides, finished off with coconut pannacotta. Every was so yum! The service is very friendly, love the atmosphere and also how it feels spacious and clean. They also have an excellent wine list too. I would highly recommend trying Peasants Paradice - think it will be on my regular rotation list! (Side note - please bottle and sell your sauces they are amazing)

This is a funky restaurant on the far side of Northbridge. There's a chilled vibe and the owner is very friendly and seems passionate about his food. There are some unique flavours included in the menu, including ones with influences from his heritage. We came for dinner, and it was a little on the late side, so the restaurant was quietening down. It was still a reasonable vibe inside. The standout dishes for me were the fish rillette (this was my number one). It was quite unique, really tasty, and had a great balance of flavours. It complemented the other entree-like dish we got - the oxtail hommus. That was also delicious. We also had the chicken, which was nice, but for me, not as unique (but was my partner's favourite). The letdown for us, however, was the dessert. It was simple, tasted ok, but was pretty small for the price. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and I recommend you check it out.

We had the most outstanding meal and it was like nothing we’d ever tasted. We loved the very flavoursome unique and fresh tasting dishes and honesty couldn’t fault any of it. The owner was really friendly and came to talk us through his menu and the different ingredients and brought each dish to us and made us feel very welcome. We had the delicious samosas, Chicken dish, pressed lamb and the mince humous and toast which was all revelation and finished with the cooling desserts. I’d highly recommend this place, you won’t regret it.

A very interesting concept, which blends food and cuisines that were considered “peasants” food and upscales it to delicious shared plates. The menu is small but allows them to focus on doing these dishes well. Everything we ordered was delicious, lots of spices and flavours but the standouts for me were the oxtail curry puffs, shawarma spiced chicken, the cauliflower and the flank steak. Overall a good experience, although we thought it was also slightly pricey for so-called peasants food. Would still definitely recommend though so if you’ve been planning to try this place, don’t delay!

Went for lunch today. Food and wine were exceptional. Food wise, we chose the 'feed me' menu. Shared some starters and some main dishes. Samosas and polenta were delicious, I may only ever have hummus with curry going forward in my life. Amazing flavour combinations and everything was delicious. Paired with an LS Merchants Sunrider white wine, perfect lunch. Thank you Dwight! We'll be back.

Everything was on point. We shared almost one of everything from the menu. The owner is a warm welcoming soul and he spent time explaining the origins of his dishes to us - a fusion of predominantly African influences (including those that have evolved from his mother's own recipes). His wine matches were also spot on. I can't say I've had a unique and amazing dinner like this one in a long time. Many thanks.

Dwight, the owner/operator, is a hospitality genius. Everything from the food, the vibe, and the service was 10/10 Had the chance to hear his story and the meaning and flavor profile for most of the menu items. Dwight has such passion and knowledge for what he does. Will be back for sure

The food had some of the best and most incredibly balanced flavors I’ve ever eaten. All the vegetarian dishes are gorgeous. Definitely try the radicchio dish! (Omnivores were also delighted) The atmosphere is very relaxed and enjoyable. The staff is incredible. The interior design is gorgeous. Absolutely eat here. Am absolutely tempted to fly back from the USA just to eat here.

Absolute gem of a restaurant. Every dish was amazing and excellent value. The polenta fries were the best we've ever had and it's not close. Service was lovely, and the decor and vibe were a perfect fit. Travelled all the way from Melbourne and am stoked we chose Peasants Paradice for dinner

Exceptional food and great, friendly service. Best prawn toast I’ve ever tasted, with a very generous amount of prawn and black sesame. Polenta fries were also amazing. Fries themselves were perfectly crispy and not at all greasy, and the sauce was excellent - beautiful Middle Eastern style flavours. Oxtail curry puffs were also excellent - beautiful, buttery and flaky pastry with tasty filling. I wasn’t quite so convinced by the accompanying hummus but that’s just my personal taste (perhaps would have preferred a tomato or chilli based sauce with the curry flavour) Steak was our least favourite dish, but still was a good dish

Lovely place, great service, friendly and attentive to our needs (Pretty sure he's the owner of the place). We opted for "feed me" at lunch and they really took us on a culinary journey. Strong start with the prawn toast, unique curry taste with polenta fries. The okra was probably one of the best veg dish I've ever eaten, because I hate okra and they changed my mind. Perfect combination of flavour with kale and sambal, grilled perfectly, so yum! The steak was pretty good too. Definitely will return to try other menu, please take us on another culinary journey again!

Nice spacious place. Waiter was a friendly guy. Food was a bit small in serving size, but taste was on point. It was a fusion style that leaned towards the Asian genre. Go here if you like fusion food. Just one negative, the restaurant felt a little warm.

It's been a very long time since I have been as impressed as I am with this restaurant! This place is unassuming at first but let me assure you, if you're at all interested in what quality food is with fresh ingredients and flavors that will excite your tastebuds, and something for everyone this is where you need to park yourself for a meal. Dwight has looked after us on two occasions already and we're going back for round 3 tonight and bringing friends, he is very knowledgeable about the food and is also such a lovely, welcoming and happy person that it really rounded out the experience. The food is so good we went 2 days in a row and stuffed ourselves into a food coma with no regrets. They also do monthly seafood boils I can't wait to see, I can't recommend them highly enough, what a gem! I'll be going here as often as possible and you should stop by and try it for yourself.

So good! First time at Peasants Paradice and will most definitely be back. A warm, friendly and enthusiastic chat with the chef/ owner when we arrived and great service at all times. The food was amazing - really interesting and delicious African influences to every plate, fabulous flavours, beautifully presented…we thought each dish was our favourite until we tried the next. Really enjoyed our evening and highly recommend.
