Great place with great initiative with $5 parking fee for the duration. Fun for young and old. The kids can really spend a whole day here. My only disappointment was the bubble show; I thought it could be shorter and more bubbles.

Great spot to entertain the kids for a few hours, interesting for the adults as well. Relatively well priced for the amount of entertainment you get, parking is also cheap if going to Scitech. The staff were great, I went on the last day of the school holidays so it was very busy but everything was running smoothly. Food was very limited, so it's best to eat before or after you go. A great experience overall, 4.5 Stars.

Great experience for young kids. It's a great way to start the learning of how/why things work. Lots of fun activities to do with a rotating attraction which was astronauts this visit. Parking is easy and if you are attending scitech you can pay at the pay stations inside which is $5 instead of $20 for everyone else. The biggest down side is that there is no option for food and drinks other than the vending machine, which is a disappointment as a coffee offer would do really well.

It's a great fun for the kids! My son 3 years old loved it. lots of things to do inside. some shows you can choose to attend to. my son loves everything in there. I think the only disappointment is that they only have like a vending machine for drinks and snack inside. if you'd like to have a lunch you'll have to go out and look for a feed. but all and all the place is full of fun for the kids.

We have 3 Year membership per kid for $35! Now its $35/Year per kid. But still commendable because it gives you privilege to book in advance online (handy during lockdown/school holidays/rainy weekend etc). Companion Cards are accepted, so the carer gets free access. Plenty to see. There are shows in Planetarium which is nicely customized for the age of the kids. Less than 5 minutes commute from the CitiWest Train station (If you want to avoid parking fees). There are 2 restaurants in the downstairs with reasonable pricing. Lots of Touch, Look, Hear and feel activity around. Highly recommended.

Went early on a Sunday with with my 2.5 year old and a baby. I'd been considering it for a while but was worried he was too young, but there was plenty for him to play around with. Can't wait to go again when he's a bit older, I feel he'll get so much from it. All staff members were very approachable and friendly but I wanted to make make a special mention to the gorgeous person that presented the 10am session in the planetarium, so great with the kids and the perfect person for the job, my MIL felt exactly the same way. Only criticism I have is I felt the sound in the planetarium was a little loud for young kid's and they could maybe make a note of it beforehand.

Really enjoyed the experience here. We hadn't been for years and years, and the kids had only been for a party so this was our first real time visiting as a family. There were so many activities to do and so many things to see here with all of our kids (aged 2-6) seemingly with something to keep them busy. We ended up joining as a member, and Scitech actually refunded us the cost of the trip today! Looking forward to coming back and exploring the area in more detail.

I had a great time here today , there are so many cool exhibits and staff member Mel did a fantastic job running the Puppet Show , it was really well run and you can tell Mel loves what she does just by how she interacts with everyone and the puppet Ratchet during the show . Overall I had a really fun experience here and definitely recommend it to anyone especially families with young kids. Keep up the great work guys 🤝

This initially wasn’t in our itinerary for our holiday but we saw it in a YouTube video and decided our kid would love it. And boy he did. The staff there are relaxed but warm and helpful. The exhibits there are so interactive and suitable for children (and adults too). They are engaging and fun and safe. We watched a show and it was so educational yet fun. There’s a nice place for you to sit and eat your snacks and fill your water bottle; so lovely. We can’t wait to be back again.

Great day out! Took my 1 year old for the first time with friends from the UK and we had a fab time. Lots of interactive play to keep children occupied for ages. I would say it does look a little dated in areas and was a lot smaller than I expected, regardless it was still a good few hours out.

Absolutely incredible experience with my two children (6 & 8yo). We all had a blast and managed to look at a lot, but not all, of the exhibits in the 4hrs we were there. Parking was very easy, all the areas were well signed, food was delicious (coffee wasn't great).

Scitech. A safe, weatherproof escape. Plenty to entertain young children, although the shows usually rotate only with school or public holidays. So can be samey after a while. The indoor cafe pricing is 20 percent over usual cafe prices. $2.60 for a babycino! So makes no sense to feed your family here. Or to get your coffee fix.

We, 3 adults, couldn't bring our niece who is about 3 or so due to her being sick. I thought it wouldn't be exciting but the employees pulled out some old stuff they had in the back. We where able to control james' arm by having Cynthia close her hand! Very cool and was super awesome of them to do that for us!!!

Visited countless times especially when the feature exhibition changes. Planetarium shows are amazing. Annual membership is highly recommended especially if you have primary school children.

Smaller than the science museums around the country, but the children had a wonderful time. The 0-6 section has plenty of activities to keep them occupied for hours. I did note on the website it said sanitizing had increased due to COVID-19, but there was no one sanitising the areas and high touch items. Would be good to see a team on the ground cleaning as there were plenty of snots and coughs as you expect with young children.

Excellent place to learn about science for children and adults. Staff are helpful and accommodating. Price is worth the money. Clean and good facilities. The scheduled shows were informative.

I normally love Scitech, have a membership and take my young children regularly. However, something needs to change with the number of school groups allowed entrance at a time. It makes the experience very unpleasant, not to mention unsafe, when the place is overrun by school groups. Especially as there is a whole section closed for upgrades at the moment, the capacity limit should reduce accordingly. If not reduced, then please at least make it known to members when large numbers of groups are booked so everyone can enjoy the experience.

Make no mistake, this is a creche. You can try to call it whatever you want, but there is no science being taught here. All it is, is simply a creche. And for the record, we didn't attend this during their toddler event. I should have realized it wasn't going to be anything special when we arrived to it and saw that it was in a mall, and the sign for it was smaller than the sign for the department store in the same mall. This is a glorified office space with some sparsely placed ancient pieces of equipment, half of which don't even work. This is a disgraceful place and calling it a science centre or science museum is very much a misnomer. This is just a place for exasperated parents to take their kids for a couple of hours out of the heat or bad weather and let them run loose around the space bashing buttons, kicking things, climbing on equipment, etc. We thoroughly enjoy going to science museums and science centres regularly. And whenever we visit a new city we always search out these types of venues because we're just science nerds at heart. We were so looking forward to this and we were thoroughly let down. The thing I'm most annoyed by, was that when we arrived we specifically asked the member of staff on the cash desk, if there were things to take part in as adults since we don't have kids. She was so enthusiastic about what there was there, she said "oh my goodness, yes, absolutely, there are so many activities to take part in". On paper, it all looked good, until we walked in. Immediately, we realized that this was nothing like any science centre we had ever been to - anywhere in the world. It took about 30 seconds to walk from the main entrance to the back of the hall. The exhibition halls were smaller than my 1 bed flat. It literally took us 20 min to get through the entire thing, and that was including taking a toilet break. I'm annoyed that she told us this wasn't a venue just for kids - because it very much is ONLY for kids. I'm annoyed that I couldn't find that same employee when we were leaving to ask her for a refund because we were flatly lied to. But most of all, I"m annoyed that this venue advertises itself as something special and a great place for learning about STEM. As a scientist, I find this laughable. Don't be fooled by the advertising. This is - as I mentioned - a creche. You couldn't even take kids over the age of about 7 here. There's nothing for them here. This is a space for little toddlers to have some running around time. Full stop. That's it. I have no photos to add to this review because you'd mistake them for photos of a creche or school. Don't bother with this place - you'll only be disappointed and you'll wish you still had the $24 in your pocket.

7 and 10 yr old grandsons had a great time from 10 till 3 they were fully entertained by the things to do, they even enjoyed the science show which was presented fabulously. Even at the beginning there was a saftey drill and exit plan. which was great for my 7yr old who is frightened of been locked in anywhere. Was a fabulous day 😀 highly recommended

In Hello Perth, Scitech advertises this attraction with the slogan 'One ticket, endless discovery' but it could not be further from the reality. The science 'discovery' is located in a drab, converted office space that is laid out over one floor. I am very surprised by Scitech's claim that there are over 100+ hands on activities, as we completed every zone and were done within 20 minutes. We found that a number of exhibits didn't work; trying to move a ball with a robotic arm, answering questions based on eye contact and tapping the musical lights exhibit. There are no staff active on the floor to help with explanations or provide help - it's very much of a case of 'over to you' once you're inside. The exhibits are definitely focused at very young children. We had asked before entering if there was enough for adults and were told there was. There isn't. I'd also question how engaged children over the age of eight would be with what is provided. You'll find plenty of young, toddler-aged children enjoying the floor space to run and crawl on but there is so little for older children who want to be stretched or challenged. The exhibits aren't particularly cutting edge or innovative. If you've been to the London Science Museum (which is free entry), the Emerging Science Museum, Tokyo (which is approx $6) or Toronto's Science Museum (approx $20) you'll find that all of them are huge buildings, with hands on learning laid out over multiple floors with experiences that will engage and encourage an interest in science. In comparison, you'll find Scitech incredibly overpriced, uninspiring and massively underwhelming.

Scitech ok, the brain fast reacting light game was our favourite. My 10 year and I also really enjoyed the 25 min planetarium presentation on James Webb the new infrared telescope.

Fantastic science museum. It's smaller than some but has great activities for teenagers. The planetarium and science show were excellent and the Spy File activity was a cool escape room style adventure.

Great place for kids of all ages to learn, explore and have fun. The regular talks are varied and they even have a puppet show for the children who may be too old for the more informative demonstrations and talks. Lots of hands on activities and our son loves it here, I would say we have gone 4 times in as many months since taking out annual membership, well worth it. There are periodic school excursions here so things can get quite busy even during the week around lunch time, it’s quietest in the first 90 mins of opening

So much fun and excitement for children of all ages. Would recommend 2yrs+. Displays change regularly and there are areas and shows for all ages

scitech was once one of the very few places for 8-12 year olds and aimed at the age range where scientific exploration was most appropriate. Now it’s predominantly designed for the pram brigade for which there are so many indoor play alternatives. Even the science theatre was over-acted and dumbed down so much that my 7 year old great nephew thought it was too babyish. It seriously overlooks the 8-12 year old audience we want to develop a love for science. It’s now a money making exercise catering for those not yet in full time schooling and very much lost its earlier mission

Lots to see and do. The dome theatre experience is a definite must! Love the bee hive in the restaurant area. So fascinating to be able to see the queen at work and the worker bees, as well as the pollen hunters coming and going in and out of the real world through an ingenious clear tube so children can see their journey. Only touched on the rest of the area, it is definitely a multiple visit!

My friend and I went to scitech together on Sunday. We are almost 30, but it was a fantastic experience for us too! There is so much to do there and we easily spent a bit over 4hrs there. We loved the hands on activities and also the different shows. Coming out of the planetarium shows was a bit confusing as we popped up out of the main entrance...but we found our way back in. A very fun and interactive place :)

Good place for little kids, but… Only ONE hand sanitizer in the whole place so it’s a germ factory. Vending machines take your money but don’t give products. Vending machines full of junk, not one healthy option.

I loved this place, we had myself and my grandson and even had my daughters 40th birthday. Me as usual was running late so the other's went in before and let the staff know I was in the car park, when I found out how to get in side and up the lift found the desk and there was a long queue but this lady walked up to me and said that I must be Donna and she took me through, I felt bad, because I thought I was jumping the queue, but she said it was OK they were waiting for me, and when she saw my walker she knew it was me. These staff there are fantastic, keep up the great work everyone. The only thing I didn't like was the price's at the little shop they have there, but they don't make the price list, so again, spot on everyone, see you again soon.

The staff were great! So passionate and happy to answer any questions, especially the lad with tattoos and accent!(we’re sorry we forgot your name!) so engaging and despite being directed at children, at 25 I was more than captivated!

Toddler fest is great, and so much to do. Many of the attractions are too tall for most toddlers, but they manage. Parents room is seriously lacking. One couch to breastfeed on in a busy area, no fan or airflow so hot as balls. No toilet suitable for a pram outside disability toilet. Food at the kiosk is yuck and no real child friendly options as well as super expensive. Could improve family friendliness considering its demographic.

Good place to take the young ones on a wet day if you have never been before. Main reason for going was to take the young fella to watch a show about the planets which we heard about. Sadly when we lined up we were kicked out because he was 4 weeks below the age of 4yr and not allowed in. Fairly poor excuse about health and safety given for the reason. Also a lot of the games/activities were not working in the main hall area and hand sanitiser containers were out of liquid which is not ideal when everything is so hands on with kids coughing everywhere. I'd say more suitable for kids aged 5-8 based on the activities, and permittance.

Good for kids but why is the current fasion of indoor, public spaces, dark, lights on and stuffy? Can we have some windows and doors open please? My Dad took me here when I was a kid and I remember the interior being light and breezy. I had a good time there though. I still do not know how that ball did not shoot off??? There was air comming out of a grate and one can put a ball above the expelled air and the ball hovered in air. I just can't see how it did not shoot off? There was written explanation at the experiment stations. I am 39 and was really entertained! We have a seven and ten year old and were able to let them run loose in Scitech. Good value for money 💰

Great experience, particularly for children, as always. Lots of new hands-on exhibits, great shows and planetarium session. Watching the eclipse transmitted from Exmouth was a bonus!

  • 4/5 Megan 1. 2 years ago on Google
Really good. Took students there for an excursion. Only issue was the lack of supervision from staff with their students from another school that were there. Those students were running around pushing other kids, some toddlers, out of exhibits so they could have a go. This is NOT a reflection on the scitech staff that were very helpful and lovely.

  • 4/5 Rhonda B. 1 year ago on Google
We took our grandchildren, they had a great time. It was very busy due to Toddler Fest, so it would be better at another time I think, Though the children did enjoy the puppet show which was run several times during the day, we found the performers to be below standard for children of that age (young). Their language was inappropriate for young children, and a lot of use of slang. We would expect a higher level of education and professionalism.
