Located inside Whiteman Park Caversham Wildlife Park is a wonderful place to spend a few hours. In my opinion it is better than the Perth Zoo, a lot more parking and several very informative animal shows throughout the day makes for a great day out for all. From the outside you can't get a real feeling of how large the wildlife park actually is, once inside you can walk around and discover native bird, get up close to kangaroos, visit some friendly farm animals and go inside a reptile house. There is also a chance to get close to a koala and see penguins feeding. I personally recommend going early if you wish to see other attractions at Whiteman Park as the wildlife park can take up a few hours especially if you want to see the shows, check their website for daily show times and try to plan your day to make the most of the time. Although there is a Cafe inside Caversham Wildlife Park it can and does get busy so maybe consider taking a picnic lunch as there is a picnic area inside. Just one warning; DO NOT use the vending machines I lost a small amount of money in one and there is no support except a website. Called the number, left a message and I also sent an email but received no response. I advise not using them at all, take drinks and snacks or purchase from the cafe on site. *** Update - vending machines belong to Caversham Wildlife Park, if you have a problem you need to speak to them. In any case I'd advise not using them at all.

Nice beautiful place. Allow yourself 2-3 hours to properly watch this place. You can watch and hold kangaroos, koalas, and many more animals. Learning place for kids about different reptiles, birds, and animals. Plenty of shaded places, sheds and trees for picnic.

Amazing collection of Australian animals and birds. You can feed kangaroos and have photos with koalas. You can even cuddle a koala for an extra cost! But the photo booths are worth it just for a free photo with a koala! We saw some amazing birds and animals that you can't see in the wild or are endangered. Well worth a trip if you're not a local! Or even if you are. There is something for everyone!

Caversham Wildlife park best in Australia I’m seriously so impressed by the Caversham Wildlife Park - I spent walking around enjoying myself seeing all the animals A true-blue Australian meet & greet experience for the whole family! Get up close to Australia's unique wildlife, feed the kangaroos, and have your photos taken with koalas, wombats, possums, snakes, lizards, and more!! Enjoy the Farm Show! The staff were super friendly and helpful. We fed kangaroos and took photos with koalas, wombats and snakes. We took the tram too! The sun came out for a bit and then it was pouring. The strong wind was super chilly. See the penguins being fed! And so much more!they had to offer. I absolutely loved meeting the Koala’s and even getting a photo taken with them (comes included in your ticket). All the animals were beautiful, my favourite being the feisty ducks that try and nibble your fingers through the fence

Super wonderful place to interact with lovely koala, kangaroo, wallaby, wombat, kookaburra and many farm animals. It is recommended to plan a one-day trip in the park to ensure sufficient time for all the activities. The only thing is that the place is away from downtown perth, and it would be much more convenient to take a taxi/didi or to drive there.

We LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT! A truly amazing Wildlife Park. All animal lovers and children will enjoy it. You can pat and feed kangaroos, go to a farm show, take a picture with wombat and koala, and touch some other animals like lizards and python. The only thing to keep in mind is that it’s better to come by car because the place is not very reachable via public transportation.

Highly recommend this lovely park. Super friendly and educated stuff, loved the farm show! In the price included you can also touch a Wombat, Koala and Snake and make pictures with them. Even food for the kangaroo is available for free.

Our visit to Caversham Wildlife Park was an unforgettable experience. Hugging a koala was the highlight of the day, and it’s something we’ll cherish forever. The park itself was well-maintained, and the staff were knowledgeable and passionate about the animals. Hugging the koala was a dream come true. These gentle creatures are even more endearing up close, and the experience was made even better by the informative staff who shared fascinating insights about their behavior and conservation efforts. Caversham Wildlife Park offers an opportunity to get up close and personal with Australia’s unique wildlife, and the chance to hug a koala made the visit truly exceptional. It’s a must-visit for anyone who wants to connect with nature and experience the wonder of Australian wildlife.

(Translated by Google) Actually a pretty nice wild life park if it weren't for the unworthy animal shows. When we were on site at opening times, we entered this show tent for the first time, we were shocked and appalled by this freak show. We'd rather look at a wombat and his friends in a natural setting than on a drugged attendant's lap to take a picture. The koala facility is also very commercial. In contrast, the kangaroo enclosure is quite full, but there the animals can at least escape the visitors on their own. Otherwise the park is actually quite nicely designed but with this show tent a no-go for the future.

What a wonderful place. Had an amazing time taking our daughter to see the animals. She loved it 😀 We got to meet the Wombat and have photos. My daughter even got to hold a snake for the first time as well which she wasn't too sure of. The farm show was also fantastic where they showed you how they herd and shear the sheep. We even got to see the Koalas and have photos with them. Next time we come to visit we will get there a little earlier as we did miss a bit but all in all a fantastic experience had by all 😁 Highly recommended 👍🏻

A nice place to spend an afternoon with the family. The surrounding facilities are quaint, you can eat lunch in the park, and the kids can have a run around. About the park, the guided path allows you to see several of the wildlife. At the time of our visit, the animals were very placid (including the kangaroos as you can see in the video). But there were plenty of animals to see and interact with. The park supplies free kangaroo food for you to feed them, which was great. There are toilet facilities at the main entrance, and near the reptile house. The park has great access, we used a stroller comfortably. I would expect a lesser entry fee, but it is what it is.

We had a wonderful day out at Caversham Wildlife Park. We absolutely loved being able to get up close to the Kangaroos, Wallaby, Koala and Wombat and seeing all of the other animals. It’s a great day out and the staff were all really friendly too. We would highly recommend a visit. ❤️

One of the best zoo I ever visited. It is an open range zoo. The animal was playing around near you. Different experience compared to normal zoo where animals are caged. You could even touch the animal, if you dare. Kangaroos are everywhere around. Koala is a bit rare. Only certain hour where koala is awake cause it is always sleeping. Managed to take photo and touch koala during my visit. I think I was touching too long before the photo was taken and the koala almost scratched me. It was a great experience here.

A fun wildlife park worth visiting! Caversham Wildlife Park is a great place to be. The animals here are adorable and friendly. In this wildlife park, visitors will find Koala bears, and kangaroos including cute baby kangaroos, alpacas, sheep, horses, wombats, and a few more different animals. Animals here are happy and healthy. Visitors get to interact with the animals and are welcome to touch certain animals. The Koala bear was so shy but also one of the most popular animals here. The highlight of the visit was the farm show! It was so much fun to watch the sheep shearing, milking a cow, a group of baby sheep drinking milk from the bottles, and more! The show is not to be missed!

Every time we go to Caversham Wildlife Park we have a great time. There are a wide range of animals to see, shows and activities to take part in. The kids of all ages will enjoy the activities and all the things to do. We are frequent visitors to the zoo but here we get a much closer view and greater interaction with the animals. I would highly recommend a trip here if you have international visitors.

Nice ethical wildlife park with lots of different animals. Long queues to get pictures with the koalas but goes by surprisingly quick. If you want to hold a koala go first thing in the morning because it gets booked up very fast.

Ace day during the school holidays visiting the animals at Caversham Wildlife Park. Plenty to see and the farm animals are great to interact with and getting up close with a wombat and olive python were highlights for us. A different experience to other parks and we really enjoyed it. There's a giftshop, toilets, plenty of signs and shaded areas with seats. Appears to be wheelchair friendly throughout.

Super love this place! The staff is nice, friendly, relentless explaining the animals details with many smiles on their faces. The park really maintained it in a good wild life way and people get to see the animal with close up without glasses, it's a very good experience for watching the animal. Roam free kangaroo for people to pet, koala photo taken by free

Good diversity of wildlife across Australia represented here, well organised and plenty of tree cover. You can take photos with wombats and koalas which is great for kids and tourists. Would've been nice if some animals e.g. the camel could be within arms reach like the other farm animals

  • 3/5 Livv B. 3 years ago on Google
This was a good place to go, but it could have been much better. It's good for kids, but because of 'Covid-19 restrictions' everything has been changed. Their is a plastic screen seperating you and the wombat when you take a photo. Events have been cancelled so everyone is crammed in one place to see one event that's on every so often (which makes no sense because that's not helping the virus anyway). The toilets aren't as bad as I thought they were going to be. This Wildlife Park is a good place to go for a certain amount of time. If you stay for too long you get tired and bored. But, it's great for looking and the Australian animals.

Such a great place to walk around with the kids and so much to see. A lot of work has gone into this beautiful wildlife park as it is so well presented. If you haven’t been here before it’s worth having a look with a variety of things to do and get involved in.

It’s a great experience. The environment inside is very good and clean. The living environment and condition of the animals are very good. The staff inside are very friendly and enthusiastic. They will remind us when we finish a show. About what time is the show, when we encounter difficulties, they will take the initiative to help us quickly. My little daughter also had a great time playing in it. We experienced how to feed and milk a lamb. Inside, I felt the close contact between people and nature. Today, I saw many little koalas and took photos with Amy koalas. I saw a lot of koalas inside and they looked very comfortable and enjoyable.

Wonderful way to spend a day, especially with children. We went on a Monday in May, with no crowds, the park workers were helpful and had plenty of time to let you take photos with the koala and wombat. The park is small but very nicely laid out. The kangaroos are cute and friendly and put their paws on your arm as they eat out of your hand. The tasmanian devils lived up to their name, attacking each other as we watched.

A delightful few hours with the fauna of WA and Australia. Enjoyed the demonstrations and show enormously. The pens and cages should be better. Bigger, better shaped and better planned. Where glass exists it needs cleaning, most parts in need of some better maintenance, cleaning and thoughtfulness. Attention much required in this area to enhance enjoyment. Annoying and frustrating that signage didn't always correct reflect the animals on show or was there at all. Overall recommended, but could be very much improved.

If you have a few days in Perth, you should definitely visit this wildlife park. The entrance fee is really fair in relation to what is on offer. Especially when you consider that it's privately owned. It is easily accessible for families with small children, as well as people with walking disabilities or wheelchair users. What I really liked is the opportunity to experience some animals very closely, to be able to pet them and on the other hand how well the animals are cared for and cared for. So full marks with additional asterisks. I hope to be able to visit this wildlife park again sometime. Big praise to all employees and volunteers of the wildlife park.

The place is nice, but a little bit secluded from the city (well i think it match the name wildlife). This place is highly recommended if you are looking for close interaction with koala and kangaroo. It also has a cafeteria inside.

It honestly does not get any better than this. Well, as a foreign tourist at least. Brought the little ones there and they had a blast. Got to touch koalas and kangaroos. It’s an all day activity that just flies by. Any guest or tourists, bring ‘em here. And last but not least, can’t miss out on this but the staff were exceptional. Super super nice and friendly. Thanks guys!

Caversham Wildlife Park is a must-visit destination for animal lovers and anyone looking to experience the unique wildlife of Australia up close. My recent visit to this park left me thoroughly impressed and enchanted by the incredible diversity of creatures and the immersive experiences it offers. One of the highlights of Caversham Wildlife Park is the chance to interact with the animals. From hand-feeding kangaroos to getting up close with cuddly koalas, the park provides a host of memorable encounters. I particularly enjoyed the kangaroo enclosure, where these gentle marsupials hop around freely, and you can feed and pet them. It's a unique opportunity to connect with Australia's iconic wildlife. The park's bird aviaries are another delight. Walking through these lush enclosures, you can observe colorful parrots, cockatoos, and other native birds in their natural habitat. It's a photographer's dream, with countless opportunities for stunning shots.

I've visited this place 3 times already but every time my friend from overseas asked me for a place to visit to see wildlife I always recommended this place. I love how all the animals here are well looked after, and the place is very clean and welcoming, especially if you're coming here with a family or children. My 45-minute drive was worth it. So many friendly kangaroos . I love how soany cute Australian wildlife are such a cutie. I just love them all.

Great place for families with kids. It is well laid out, with lots of closer views of the animals and interaction with the animals than you get at the zoo. The facilities are great, with regular bathrooms, a picnic area and a cafe, which was very reasonably priced. Getting to hand feed the kangaroos was a hit with the kids, as well as the farm show. I think this place is fantastic and our family will be making it a regular outing.

  • 3/5 Jasmine 3 years ago on Google
Nice park. Farm show is the best part. Don't plan to have lunch there though as the kiosk has very poor quality food. Ordered a pizza for my daughter and they just put a cheap mini frozen pizza in the microwave and it came out all soft and melted on a plastic plate. Very unappealing and my daughter couldn't eat it. My sausage roll was also soft and a cheap brand which didn't taste nice. Even the tomatoe sauce packets were yuck. Definitely go over to the Cafe at Whiteman Park instead where you will get really nice food and coffee. Sorry guys, but you need to hear this feedback.

  • 4/5 Tam M. 3 years ago on Google
Think of it like a mini interactive zoo with a bit of a price tag. The extra money is needed to maintain the park so ok. Nice, relaxed atmosphere, great farm show. Animals all seem calm and happy. A few albino animals as well, stunning. Kids loved it. Especially recommend for littlies.

Wonderful petting zoo(?). When we arrived, the farm show it about to start. I just be at the barn for a moment and left my friends there. I prefer exploring the compound. Ahahaha. But u guys should attend the show. Encountering with the kangaroos and wallabies as close as we could and seeing other species of animal. Next activity was 'meet the wombat' which i joined. Just taking photos and saw other animals. The last activity i joined was 'meet the koalas'! Ahahahaa... i am absolutely happy with this tour. And for muslims, their cafe sells halal food and for Malaysian, they have wet toilet here (important right?)

Our family had a great day at the wildlife park. Exhibits were good quality and you can see the animals are well cared for. We stayed back and talked with the shearing staff afterwards, very friendly and knowledgeable.

I really enjoyed wandering around looking at the animals, some fairly unusual. Park is divided into different sections including a reptile house, a walk-through aviary, farm/barn area, and a kangaroo petting/feeding zone. There are a few shows that give you the opportunities to meet and pet animals such as koalas, snakes, possums, and wombats. Good for a day out, ideally off-peak.

Have my family visiting from Italy, we’ve been to the zoo last week and to Caversham Wildlife Park today. I mean, hands down 100 times better than the zoo. Plenty of activities and interactions, mum and dad got a picture holding a tiny koala which was a dream of theirs, plenty of kangaroos that you can feed with their food, heaps of shows and different interactions. There were tons of kids too which they obviusly seemed to enjoy. All the staff was lovely and smiling, we also appreciated how they were not rushing us to take pictures or to leave, the queue for the activities were appropriate and we did’t wait too much for anything. Recommended to anyone really. Absolutely an amazing day, loved every second of it!!

The park was very well maintain with lots of Australia wild animals. You get to meet and pet the animals. Also there's a farm show where they show how they shear the sheeps and milk the cows. Just make sure to check the show times. There's a picnic area where you can sit down and eat. Since that we went there during winter going to spring the weather was very nice and warm. Lots of parking spaces. The park was not too big so it was not too tiring walking around.

Loving the Koalas and Wombat sessions. Special mention on the Rabbit touching Sheds; a gem for all little kids under 5 to touch them. Also surprisingly, the location has a number of birds and reptiles that’s interesting to see. Great place for a morning outing!

We had a fabulous time at the park. The staff were friendly, helpful and quite knowledgeable. It was also great to see that the wildlife seemed to be looked after really well. Plus, the interactions with the koalas and kangaroos made this whole day so much better. Probably one of the most exciting place I’ve been to in Western Australia. I can’t recommend it enough.

I’m seriously so impressed by the Caversham Wildlife Park - I spent 3 hours walking around enjoying myself seeing all the animals they had to offer. I absolutely loved meeting the Koala’s and even getting a photo taken with them (comes included in your ticket). All the animals were beautiful, my favourite being the feisty ducks that try and nibble your fingers through the fence 😂 10/10 experience

A must visit when in Perth. The Kuala photo taking with these cute creatures is a must do - we took photo with James! The golden tree kangaroo is beautiful and is the 1st time I've seen one, although I've been to Australia many times. Is this unique to WA? Besides that, the kids' favourites are petting the little lambs and watching the wombat pulling its tiny little "bed" around and making itself comfortable. Oh, and we learnt here that not all penguins lives in the cold! Bet you didn't knew that too right?

The staff were super friendly and helpful. We fed kangaroos and took photos with koalas, wombats and snakes. We took the tram too! The sun came out for a bit and then it was pouring. The strong wind was super chilly. The temperature went down to 8 degrees. We were also hit by hail stones but fortunately, the kids were brave and we still managed to cover the vast park by 4.30pm. 🇦🇺

Had the bestest time on Friday the 28th of April with my niece. She didn't like walking or touching the animals. However, she enjoyed snacking the entire time. We spent 4 hours exploring all the animals on the wildlife. Would go again when she's older.

Caversham Wildlife Park has a variety of shows going on throughout the day to keep visitors entertained! Bunch of animals to interact with and take pictures of. There's a cheeky duck in one of the enclosures who loves pecking at your shoes/shoe laces 🤣. For those who love the kangaroos, grab a handful or two and follow the path under the bridge, there's what feels like a hundred times more of them further in.

We went on a Wednesday afternoon in August via bus. The bus stop is far away from the entrance (29 min walk) and abit secluded. Would recommend taking an uber from the train station instead if you have children and older members with you! But the park itself is wonderful. You can do and see so much with just the entrance ticket. So much interaction with the animals - koala, kangaroos. And if you pay attention to all the showtimes, you'll get to interact with more of Perth's wildlife.

Lots of animals from Australia, must-go kangaroos, and koala area. Free food pallets for kangaroos feeding time. They are show time for animals such as koala, penguins, and farm animals. Recommended to be at the park before 10 am. So that you can watch the show.

It’s super clean despite being wildlife park. Kangaroos however all are well fed, they are not hungry. Kids didn’t find joy in feeding as the kangaroos all Rejected food. Haha. Love the farm show. The service staffs there are all super passionate!

My child (<1 year) had a blast at the park! We loved that we could get up close and interact with the animals. Park staff were super helpful and friendly. My only gripe would be the lack of food options (only a kiosk in the park). Overall, great fun and we’re looking forward to go back!

A fun filled location for the family. Simply amazing. Facilities are clean and the exhibits are well planned. Timings for all shows and meets are well thought out and we are grateful for the additional shows put up during this school holiday. Staff are friendly, approachable and helpful. We had a wonderful time and will be very happy to return when my second kid is older.

One of the best wildlife parks i’ve been to. The Farm Show is a must to watch for those people who wants to watch the shaving of the wool of the sheeps. The Kangaroos and Wallabies are friendly too and you can take upclose photos with them.

I am surprised how big this place is. Lots of animals from the east coast. Best time to visit the kangaroo is in late afternoon when there were not much people and they came out from their resting place. Worth going here

Hello Perth's Lit Certifier back again! Price: Prices are on the website, so use it. Most people will pay $33. Activities: There are plenty of animals to see, but I won't spoil them for you. Go check them out yourself! You can feed kangaroos, pet koalas, dance with birds, whatever you like(almost). Food: There is a well-maintained and clean cafeteria with friendly staff. The rice and Asian food are microwaved, and the noodles are made by you using the hot water provided on the side. The food is not great, to be honest, and the markup is large, but there are no other food options nearby. Convenience: There is plenty of parking, so you shouldn't have much trouble finding a spot. Public transportation is not the best, as it's a 30-minute walk to the nearest station. Animals: There are lots of animals to see, so I recommend planning your day to get the most of it. There are shows at set times, so arriving 25 minutes early will guarantee you the best spots and give you time to snack while you wait. Overall: This is a great place to go for people of all ages, families, friends, tourists, couples, singles, and whoever else. There's plenty to explore, and it's not always busy, so you can find a quiet spot if you want. Recommendations: -Bring your own snacks and drinks to save money. - Wear comfortable shoes, as you'll be doing a lot of walking. - Arrive early for the shows to get the best seats. Take your time and enjoy the experience! Lit/10

Have been to almost every wildlife sanctuary/park and zoo in Australia and can say that Caversham wildlife park is one of the best! The experience of being so close to so many animals is so unique to this park, especially the kangaroos! In the wild they are normally super unapproachable and for fair reason but here in the park their kangaroos have all been hand fed and are so friendly to humans, even coming up to you! The park also offer free kangaroo food so you can feed them! The penguin show and molly farm show were awesome too, so great learning about the stockman’s way and love that theirs a chance for visitors to join in with whip cracking, milking the cows, petting so many animals and feeding the lambs! Will definitely be taking my friends when they come visit Perth!

Best day ever, plenty of animals to see. Worth feeding the kangaroos and paying a wee bit extra to cuddle the koalas, the animal keepers were knowledgeable and helpful! Wasn’t too busy as we went during the week

Caversham Wildlife Park is a great place to learn about Australian wildlife and see some of the country's most iconic animals. It is also a fun place to spend a day with the family. A must place to visit and experience

Had an amazing day at the park. All the animals are well cared for and the staff are happy to share their knowledge if asked. Molly's farm is well worth a visit. Seeing a sheep sheared with explanations of how and why was great. We were able to walk among the wallabies and kangaroos. Was good to see they had an area they could go to away from public interaction should they wish. A very well thought out park and well worth a visit.

👍 $10 for adults and it’s unlimited ride during the day. There are not that many seats on the train but not that squishy. Excellent view and it only takes 20mins for a ride. Didn’t see that many kangaroos as other commenters but saw one! Recommended to come for a ride then go to Caversham wildlife par...
