Jacobs Ladder in Perth is an awe-inspiring attraction that truly lives up to its name. As a fitness enthusiast, I was drawn to this iconic stairway, and it exceeded all my expectations. The panoramic views of the city from the top are breathtaking, making the challenging climb totally worth it. The lush green surroundings add a touch of tranquility to the whole experience. Whether you're a fitness enthusiast seeking a challenging workout or simply want to revel in the beauty of nature, Jacobs Ladder is an absolute must-visit spot in Perth!

Jacobs ladder is a great place to exercise and build those mountain climbing legs up! 242 steps. There is also a super view of the city and river from here. It is a popular spot for people to run up and down and there are some benches and a water fountain at the top. The stair case could be a bit wider, but is otherwise very functional. Gets locked at night.

If you want to get some stair stepping in while you are around the CBD then this is the place to go. Just a short walk from Elizabeth Quay it has a great view and once at the top an even shorter walk to Kings Park. Be prepared to take off a few layers though as the 400+ steps with work up a sweat.

Great way to test your fitness levels or even challenge yourself. Add another lap to see if you can do a return trip from the top when your legs feel like jelly and your lungs are screaming noooooo at you....

Join in before or after peak hours to avoid traffic up and down ladder. Other than that great outdoor workout area for all ages! Please keep off areas with signs of native shrubs/grass rehab, they help the ladder have a strong foundation!

Jacobs ladder is such an amazing place, it overlooks, beautiful Perth city all while getting your morning or afternoon fitness in, it is not even a couple metres away from Kingspark and depending on how early you get there, the parking spots are limitless.

Awesome location for the fitness enthusiasts. The location is very nice, and it becomes beautiful at night with light effects. The view from the top is stunning. Unfortunately, it’s not wide enough to cater many people as a result be mindful when walking / running up & down from the stairs.

Easy climb that takes around 20 minutes or less, concrete stairs take you from mounts bay road all the way up to cliff street. Not much people

I parked at the top, in the residential area near photos shown. Beautiful view of the city. Stairs only take 5 min round trip if keeping a nice pace. Great to do a few times!

Enter through Kings Park and go 200 or so steps down and then you can come up again. I am 64 and did this 4 times. Its great for the view and cardio

A good workout climbing up on the way to kings gardens. Some were climbing up and down multiple times for a good work out. Good for them πŸ˜†

If you like stairs, this is for you. It's easy to get to but can be a little busy early in the morning as many people are wanting to get their step count up. There is a great coffee shop just at the foot of the climb for a snack or refreshments afterwards.

Great workout! I climbed to the top in 67 seconds. My father in law did it in 63. I guess I have to train harder.

Good place to get a cardio and leg muscle workout in a short amount of time. Nice views from the top. I wish the stair case was a bit wider though because it's a popular place so lots of people on the stairs.

Beautiful and historic stairs, Make sure to read the Jacob’s ladder scripture engraved in concrete to learn it’s history 😍

Great morning exercise to work your legs especially your thigh. Take in the stunning views of the city and Swan River when you get to the top. Can get quite busy in the morning so just remember to be mindful of others.

Get the heart rate going as you climb into the park. Step by step and don’t use the rail for that extra effort. Kings Park is awesome!

This place is very popular for exercising in the afternoons. Lots of space to stretch up top and at the bottom with great views of the city from the top.

Great location for a spot of exercise, no calf work out quite like it in Perth. The view at the top during sunset is amazing as well if exercise isn't your thing.

The Jacob's ladder is iconic for Perth as people do a lot of cardiovascular exercises up and down on the steps at a nearly vertical climb.

Beautiful views. Great and intense working out place πŸ˜…πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘Œ then to grab a coffee or lunch near by as well

Jacob's ladder is a flight of 244 steps with many small landings providing a stopping point for a quick breather, should you need it. It was very busy with people running up and down but that didn't cause any problems for those of us who were taking it a bit slower. With the absence of anywhere good to park at the bottom, we opted to park for free in Kings Park and go down from the top first. It took 4 minutes to go down and just under 6 minutes to walk up, this included stopping time for rests and the taking of photographs. It was a lot easier than I'd anticipated and I'd definitely do it again. At the bottom is a cafΓ© if you want a quick break before going back up.
