This is a definite YES to visit. What at 1st appears to be a few shops on a jetty, turned out to be a very large complex of Eateries, Bars and retailers with lots of decking in between. Outdoor & Indoor dining with some great atmosphere venues. Sitting over the water offers views over the Marina from most areas. Considering it wasn't busy on a late Friday afternoon, parking was a bit limited. I can definitely recommend this venue if you're travelling around this area. Only a short scenic drive from Perth CBD.

40ยฐ day family celebration of 30th birthday. An arvo at AQWA followed by a lazy few hours swimming . A lively and lovely place for all ages and very popular. Hundreds there and still plenty of room. Food shops along the broadwalk. Fish and chips x 20 yum..and then more time for swimming. Lights came on and more people coming to have dinner in the restaurants. Choo choo train and ride ons for the young and young at heart โค๏ธ. This was a Saturday night so probably the busiest day to be there. But everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. On leaving stopped at Rolls vs Bowls. A Vietnamese food shop. Personally love this type of food and you won't be disappointed. They were flat out the whole time I was there. Oh and the sunset. Mother nature's beauty ๐Ÿ˜

If your looking for somewhere beautiful and calming to go shop, this is the place. With wide walk ways and a number of food and clothing shops it's a very nice experience. You get a view of the marina and parking is broad. Highly recommend.

Must visit area, Lots of nice restaurants and bars, lots of parking here but can be quite a challenge during peak times, bbqโ€™s and gazebos are also available in this area. The toilets and showers are also available in this area, they can be challenging when some people leave a mess behind.

I love this place for a family day out. Safe swimming in calm water with slides. A beach playground beside the water. Toilets close. There are plenty of food options to suit all tastes and budgets. Plenty of free parking. Enough shops to wander around. Access to Rottnest Island via ferries. You can also visit the aquarium to fill another hour or two.

Great place to spend a couple of hours. Get here early especially if it's in the summer. You won't get parked. Beach gets packed. It's a perfect location for young kids as the beach is very safe. Lifeguards on duty. The boardwalk is pretty good but full of overpriced shops with plenty of idiots encouraging the price gouging.. Queue was 20 deep to pay $6 for a tiny scoop of ice cream at cold rock.. The boardwalk walk should also be no smoking as the cigarette smoke just hanging in undercover. Generally it is pretty good and if you live local and can cycle or walk then it would be a great place to spend the day or evening.

A really great location that offers eating places, boutiques and a lovely beach with ample grass areas to relax on. You have lots of different eating places from seafood, Nandos, Grilld, Breakwater Tavern, San Churros, Dome, Ben & Jerry's. Some great little cafes offering great food choices and Littles C's for their yummy ๐Ÿ˜‹ pizzas. Lots of parking available but expect to walk a distance to your restaurant. The facilities were extremely clean. Such a fantastic place to visit.

Hillarys a boat Harbour has just gotten better and better over the years. Great food, great facilities and family friendly accessible destination day or night. Always plenty of parking close by, never waited too long. Such a great area, I'd come here over the CBD or more central areas any day.

On a nice sunny day, mid 20ยฐs (C), there is no place better to relax and enjoy the day pass by. Especially when the fremantle doctor kicks in (cool breeze). Great for the young and old and in between. A nice walk around the shops and restaurants or just relax on the grass under the shade. Can recommend.

A nice and happening place to visit. We went during the holidays and it was really difficult to find parking. We had to keep circling until we spotted someone leaving! Parking is free. There is a nice water activity area where kids can enjoy. There is even a small sandy beach. Loads of shops all around, so you can roam around and eat.

We had a really nice time while we were there, and the food looked fantastic but the kitchen shuts at 3pm and by the time we went there it was 3.02 ,but it was well priced and looked great. The venue has changed since we were last there but maybe we just missed the seals, if I'd seen the seals it would have been 5 stars.

Looking forward to seeing it in summer. I bet it's packed, what with the restaurants, AQWA, swimming area and playground. Nice ๐Ÿ‘

  • 3/5 Chloe L. 3 years ago on Google
It's got a nice vibe, but food is a bit pricey and nothing special. There's a Nando's, Oporto, Subway, King Kebab, a few bubble tea shops, a couple of Lebanese and Italian takeaways, a Cold Rock ice creamery, fish and chips shops and some clothes stores all arranged around the boardwalk with plenty of 100k+ boats moored and bobbing around. Nice place for a family outing, but pack a picnic lunch and save your dollars and sense ๐Ÿ˜

Beautiful place to spend time with various activities to do including swimming, drinking, shopping, sunset, picnic and rides like carousel ๐ŸŽ  and ferris wheel. Lots of restaurants with different types of cuisines to choose from diverse culture dishes.

A very quaint spot for just relaxing or taking a stroll. The marina and surrounding architecture is definitely worth visiting for. The nearby mall is compact but functional and a nice detour. Great place to spend the morning overall.

  • 5/5 Scott M. 11 months ago on Google
Super popular location & for great reasons. The quality of restaurants here is a mix of standard to high quality with a classy feel & superb views of the waterside harbour. Plenty to choose from. The beach has safe swimming zones for kids, slides on the pontoon & some inflatable fun during peak seasons.

I had read previously before going to Hillarys boat harbour and it didn't disappoint. There were plenty of eateries of different cuisines and nice shops to look in. I liked the swimming area that was made also. It's very popular so it did take a little while to get a park .I recommend anyone travelling to Perth to spend a few hours there you won't be disappointed.

  • 3/5 Jill A. 3 years ago on Google
The eating area near nando's etc was filthy. Not just me who commented. Another couple walked away too. Someone needs to get this better. Even when we are not in a pandemic cleanliness in a public eating area should be a priority. They were not busy. SINCE MY REVIEW, HILLARYS GOT IN TOUCH AND SAUD THEY WOULD ADDRESS THE ISSUE, SO THAT IS GOOD. MORE PEOPLE NEED TO COMMENT IF PLACES ARE NOT GOOD SO THEY CAN IMPROVE.

Love this place! Is a great place to go for lunch either by yourselves or with the children. Plenty to do for the children with a great swimming area. There is all types of food and have eaten at Mia's and the Beach Front both being delicious and both reasonably priced. Not to busy either though I would imagine in the warmer months that would be quite different. Would recommend to go and check it out

Nice range of eateries, some overlooking the water, offering a good variety of dishes and prices to suit all budgets. Lots of overpriced boutiques eg AUD100 for a fairly mundane Broderie Anglaise that sells elsewhere for half the price.

This is a great place to spend an afternoon, a day or an evening. There is a calm beach area where younger kids can feel safe and adventure (no waves, rips, shallow water), plenty of places to get food and drinks across the way too. Grassed areas if you want to have a picnic. Bars and restaurants for the night owls, the Breakwater is a nice spot to chill and have a drink and meal, can get roudy Fri/Sat/Sun nights. Parking nearby but watch the signage - fines if you park in the boating spaces before noon. Pretty busy spot during school holidays.

This was a great place to visit, not far from our holiday rental #holidayat262 in Quinn's Rocks. Loads of different eateries, shopping, including pearls!!! As well as live entertainment and water activities for kids. We went for a meal with friends and soon realised this is much much more than a place to have quality food. This is a must when visiting WA.

This venue is nicely set up, with a covered boardwalk and shops (mostly womenโ€™s casual fashion), jewellery and some homewares, candy, news agencies and beauty parlours. There were some โ€œdark spotsโ€ where shops appear untenanted. There are many eateries as well. We tried Little Cโ€™s Pizzaria, which was pleasant with a nice beach view. There are coffee shops and other franchises such as San Churro and Grillโ€™d. Good for a casual summer day plus a safe, sheltered beach for the kids. Easy, free parking too. We liked it!

  • 2/5 Anthony S. 3 years ago on Google
Plenty of potential but the marina is so dirty now days that it makes it an unpleasant place to be. I remember in the past that everything used to be hosed down regularly, now it is covered in seagull poop and the whole place just feels grotty! Bin areas can get very smelly also. A real shame!

  • 5/5 Stephen W. 3 years ago on Google

Nice place, as it always is. It was great going on a weekday with not many people around. Iโ€™m not sure if itโ€™s the effects of covid or not, but the place looks a little deserted in the way of shops being open. However, itโ€™s a lovely stroll around. Whatโ€™s a little hard to work out is technically weโ€™re under cover, and therefore technically indoors. With the current mask mandate, do we wear masks on the boardwalk undercover are between shops. The shops obviously need you to wear a mask, but โ€ฆ so we went with wearing a mask, only to see security walk past with mask in hand, so we took ours offโ€ฆ however, people had them on. No signs upโ€ฆ hard to know what to do here. Anyway, just a side note to consider that will only be relevant for a short time. The place is lovely, go for a stroll.

It's nice to get back to places in Perth that we sometimes forgot how nice they are. Take Hillary's Boat Harbour. With ample parking, albeit a little snug, Hillary's has everything for a quick shop, meal or walk, to an all-dayer at the beach. Boutique shops dot the boardwalk among the many restaurants, pubs and ice creameries so you're not without places to visit, eat and then hang out in the gorgeous weather. And after all that shopping and eating what better a place to just walk around in the sun? Or take in the stunning night lights if you're having a dinner out. If it's been a while since you last visited, or if you're looking for somewhere new, take a few hours and treat yo' self... Hillary's Boat Harbour is definately worth a visit.
