Brief Info... The WACA (Western Australian Cricket Association Ground), which is built on old swamp land, has been the home to many sports, including AFL, rugby (both codes) and soccer, but its real fame is as a cricket ground. The WACA staged its first Test in 1970-71 and soon established a reputation for being a fast and hard track, and that continued until the last couple of years when the surface flattened out. The often intense Perth heat is famously eased in the afternoon by the Fremantle Doctor, a breeze which sweeps in along the Swan River.

Anyone that loves cricket must visit the waca (West Australian Cricket Associaton) what a lovely ground we met an official at the ground and he let us view the ground then took us round the museum,we were then taken to the members area where we had photos taken in the stump room what a priviledge that was and then perused all the old photographs of players from the past. what a wonderful tour.

Attended the final game of Test cricket that England will here from 14-18th Dec 17, 3rd Ashes Test, the result went the wrong way! Stuart Broad going for 142 runs for zero wickets certainly didn’t help! I was fortunate to watch the first 2 days from hospitality, the buffet & drinks were excellent & went down very well! The ground has character & it’s great to see grass banking which my friends & I watched the game from on the 4th & 5th days. There is a small museum which is well worth visiting, if it’s still there now & not moved to the new ground. The public transport links from the city centre made getting to and from the ground easy, it’s also walkable in 20-30 minutes. There are restrictions on what camera equipment you can bring in, a 200mm lens or less is ok, anything more has to be handed in for collection at the end of play.

Amazing historical place. Worth visiting. We did not do any tours as they are under reconstruction.

Really interesting and worthwhile tour, just a pity that England failed to record a single test match victory here. Some really memorable draws; but looking around the 'stumps room' there are no victories recorded. It does not spoil the atmosphere and shear enthusiasm of the people for this game.

Nice small stadium close to the city and Burswood next to the river.this ground has a lot of history and we are lucky enough to still have the old score board in working order. It’s an awesome venue to watch cricket at although these days it’s only really used for minor games.

Great games of WBBL (Women's Big Bash League) with Scorchers dominating. Plenty of shaded seating in the stands and new grass areas for kids to have a run around or to do some layed back baking in the sun. Food was yum - would be better if a little cheaper. Great fireworks at the break! All in all an economical, entertaining and great afternoon out with the family

Loved sitting on the bank watching the WBBL, good crowd of 1,400+. Kids playing cricket and soccer, dancing, having a great time and we got to chat, enjoy the cricket and a couple of ciders in the sun. Can’t wait for the next match!

Great venue, such a relaxed and easy atmosphere to watch the WBBL with the family. Plenty of space for the kids the roam around and activities to keep them busy.

The new optus stadium can be great but it could never replace the vibe that old waca has. For me still the best cricket ground in the world. Its small not much fancy but i have grown up watching some great test matches on tv at the waca.

My visit to the WACA Stadium in Perth was an absolute delight, and it left me with a lasting impression of Australia's passion for cricket and the rich history of this iconic venue. The WACA Stadium in Perth is a cricket lover's paradise, and my visit there was a dream come true. This hallowed ground has witnessed some of the most thrilling cricket matches in history, and I was fortunate enough to experience its magic. First and foremost, the stadium itself is a marvel. The picturesque setting along the Swan River, coupled with the breathtaking views of the city skyline, creates an unforgettable backdrop for cricket. The well-maintained grounds and modern facilities ensure that spectators have a comfortable and enjoyable experience. One of the highlights of my visit was learning about the history of the WACA. The museum on-site is a treasure trove of cricket memorabilia and offers a fascinating journey through the sport's evolution in Australia. It was enlightening to see the iconic moments and legendary players who have graced this historic pitch. The atmosphere during a live match at the WACA is electrifying. The passionate fans, known for their unwavering support for the home team, create an incredible ambiance. The crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd, and the tension in the air make for an unforgettable experience.

For an event that was primarily ticket sales in advance, they would have had a good handle on how many people would attend today. As a result, what did happen, should not have. The catering, water, bar, etc, were grossly understaffed and under-resourced. The few employees they had on the day did all they could but were overwhelmed inevitably. Fortunately, the cricket (one day Marsh cup final between WA & SA) was of a very high and entertaining standard.

Came to see Australia vs India here, this was my first ever cricket match. I had such an amazing time, I was drunk for most of it. Created some of the best memories here which will stay with me for life. Thank you

Why knock down the stands? This ground could have been a headquarters for WAFL football in the winter months, given it lies dormant nearly all year, and would have been ideal for finals and Grand Finals. Looks like it barely holds 12,000 now so given Subiaco v South Fremantle had 30,000 at the gf last year, I doubt the Waca is any good for anything now. Absolutely ridiculous to take away such great assets like the grand stands which allowed great spectator viewing. Not suprising at all being the Waca, this place has a history or making changes endlessly just for the sake of change. And now they have cooked the goose for good it I think.

The WACA was absolutely brilliant. Free entry and they put on a free morning tea. Staff were fantastic. Very friendly and helpful.

Probably enjoyed it more for who I was watching them further facility itself, obviously needs a fairly decent Renovation but always good to say I’ve been to the waca.

All Cricket grounds are places to be treasured and the WACA is no exception. Structurally past its use by date, they have friendly staff everywhere and sell standard Catering Corps food and low alcohol beer...and then they have Cricket, live, enough for the Gods to excuse the minor aspects above !

Very disappointed with the services and catering today at the Sheffield Shield final. This has been the only fixture played at my favourite sporting venue in Perth and we still got it wrong. Shame shame shame Powers to be Huge lines for food and Beverages No screens for replays of wickets Construction work happening (this couldn’t wait until Tuesday ???) Come on WA cricket we deserve better

Mesmerising experience at WACA. I loved the exquisite ambience at WACA. The tour in WACA was a fabulous one, guided by Mr. Evans, former International umpire. It was a "dream -come- true" moment for me when I stepped on the lush green outfield of WACA. I was also spellbound by getting an opportunity to step inside the historic dressing room of the stadium where innumerable cricketing greats shared their moments of glory. The entire trip around the stadium also included entry into Members' room, Commentators' room, Stump Lounge, Don Bradman's room, Third Umpire's room etc.
