I've been coming here to relax for over 30 years. It's a quiet little garden of manicured lawns shrubs, trees and flower beds, but the big attraction is the bird life. There's a terrific duck pond filled with ducks (naturally) coots and swans. Spring is the best time to see mummy birds raising their young in a quiet, relaxing environment. Perfect for an afternoon picnic or just a stroll. Try it. You'll love it.πŸ¦†πŸ£

A quiet, secluded park in the city where you can admire the swans, ducks, the lake and large trees. Very relaxing and chill area. It is also very tidy and clearly very well maintained. Would visit again!

I witnessed my beautiful Grand-niece Camellia marry her dream man Richard in this picturesque setting carved out in the West end of Hay Street in the middle of Perth City. The sprawling garden was well manicured , the flowers on the trees and bushes were in full bloom creating a perfect backdrop for the wedding. It seemed surreal sitting in this peaceful lush spot while looking up towards the 20+ story buildings (hotels and offices) surrounding it. We stayed at The Frazier Suite just a three minute walk away to put our feet up and to cool off with a glass of Sparkling after the ceremony. πŸ‘°πŸ’πŸ’’

This is such nice spot close to the city to have a walk or sit-down, great for a picnic lunch too. The gates are usually closed but not locked, you are requested to keep the gates closed. Inside you'll find a pond with a few small bridges criss crossing, the Peter Pan statue (a copy of the famous statue located in London's Kensington Gardens). Take care if you are there during the breeding season as the Swans do not like people getting close to their brood.

It's a quite and calm small park in the city. It's more popular for taking wedding photos and having ceremony. Love the lakes with swans ,ducks and lotus. Love the green and all the shades provides by the tree.

I come here regularly to do my exercises at the rotunda. In the middle of my workout, an older harmless looking aboriginal man came and sat himself next to my belongings. Big mistake. I only discovered that he stole my new phone after my session. Nice park but watch out for these low life lurking around the place and don’t make my mistake of dropping your guard for sake of social correctness. Be compassionate but be Wise and be careful.

Great bit of greenery in East Perth. Walked around the main lake, plenty of ducks and ducklings, an interesting Peter Pan statue in the centre and many pretty bridges. No playground for kids but there is one across the road towards the city.

Queens Gardens is a magnificent Lush Green Gardens in Perth City. Admired and frequently visited by local office people having their lunch, or locals just relaxing and enjoying the pleasure of being in Queens Gardens Perth. There is also 3 lakes with 3 wooden bridges that you can walk over to be able to cover the whole of the gardens. There are lots of Australian Native plants and plenty of shady trees including large palm trees. There is also an abundance of wildlife including Western Australians Iconic Black Swan, ducks and ducklings during breeding season and may other birds. If you haven't been to Queens Gardens I highly recommend a visit and you will be pleasantly surprised.

A tranquil park over 120 years old. Great for picnics and wedding photos. Doesn’t have kid’s swings but a lot to explore in a small space. Best to visit on Sunday when parking is free. Remember to keep the gates shut

Well manicured and maintained oasis. As soon as you walk through the gates, the noise and bustle of the city falls away. Lots of ducks, coots and swans, so make sure you keep the gates closed. Great for a walk, picnic, or quick lunch break on one of the benches. One thing however - the grassed area becomes marshy after the rain, so stick to the walkways or wear appropriate shoes. Toilets are clean and well maintained.

Gorgeous place love the bird life❀️

Gardens no longer fit for a queen. Lawns no longer manicured, dead birds, widespread weeds in garden beds, maintenance required for many garden features. Still some of its former glory manages to shine through. Disappointed at its demise since my last visit.

A really lovely space with a few shaded areas (trees) and water features. The gazebo area was being made ready for a wedding, so that wasn't available. I guess I expected more from the gardens, there really isn't that much going on there. It's a lovely park, but really 'Queens Gardens' - I did expect more.

I love walking around these gardens, they are maintained very well. I love listening to the birds and admiring the swans on my meal breaks here. It's a mini paradise in the city

  • 4/5 Caroline A. 8 months ago on Google
Beautiful historic garden with information on the park's history. Always well maintained. Fully fenced from the roads to protect water birds. Easy access paths for prams, toddlers, and dog walking but dogs must stay on a lead so they don't chase or interfere with the high number of water birds roaming around the park, including a swan. Lovey sprawling lawns for family fun. Water-ways are not fenced so good supervision levels should be considered if you have young children. There are also very limited riparian zones around the man-made lakes which means water quality is not great. Overall, a beautiful, shady spot in town that everyone can enjoy.

Nice lush green park but the little ponds need a bit of maintenance as well as the plants around ... nonetheless very good park for a small gathering or BYO picnic party....

Great addition to Perth. Nice thoroughfare between city and Northbridge. 24 hour police bus there. Love the light up sign board. It's a real feature of Perth. It's a bit of a shame about the food area that didn't quite work.

  • 5/5 Sinta S. 1 year ago on Google
I like how there is a gate so that it protects the wildlife. Silly when people forget to close it. Not many people go here so its peaceful to chill. Although the grass is a-bit dead near the pond but it'll grow back. I also like the historical statue.

Simply Beautiful & Stunning Gardens right in the hustle and bustle of The City of Perth.... I wonder though now if they will change the name to The Kings Gardens...?? Interesting to see what happens. Personally, I don't think they should... In honour of Her Majesty's passing maybe they could erect a memorial statue there or something to honour her and her extremely long reign on the throne. Being so close to the WACCA as well.. I think most of us have all visited The Gardens at one time in our life or another... The ideas for this park in the future are endless, I'd love to see what changes they make..

Love this place! Little piece of heaven hidden away in the City. Been visiting it for over 30 years, took my Grandson to see the Peter Pan Statue, he enjoyed it as much as his mum did when she was his age. Treasured memories.

A beautiful place to escape to whilst in the city. The bird watching here is really nice, especially in spring when the swans have their babies. It's also a very nice place to get married and have your photos taken. Plenty of parking available; paid during the week, and free on weekends.
