What a fantastic historical location based in the hills of Perth. The care and effort made by the local council and people of Kalmunda to preserve the history of Australia is exceptional. The trains, school, homes have been very well detailed to provide an understanding of what early life consisted of.

Kalamunda History Village is great! Went for a school excursion for my 8yo and wasn't sure what to expect and loved it. Very interesting place for kid's they can interact with local history. Has toilet facilities... grounds are nice with pebble walk way's. But I would highly suggest having a nice day out checking out the past and current living in Kalamunda 👍

A great place to explore and learn about the area from yesteryear! I visited here with Capture the Light Photographic Meetup group on a lesson and thoroughly enjoyed it especially as the train is now on view again.

We have been so many times at the market and the Visitors Centre in Kalamunda, but never made it to visit the History Village before. I recommend it highly, it is worthwhile visiting, we have enjoyed it, so much to see.

This place is great, really worth a trip. The train is fantastic and the way that they've retained it as a cluster of historical buildings is a great place for the kids to learn a little of their last. Well worth the trip and your donations.

Timber and fruit orchards attracted people to this inland town. The history museum within Kalamunda depicts its unique Hills life and industries which resulted in its development. In the 1890 the railway station was built and the town grew up around. There are several town centre Heritage Walk Trails

Went to Kalamunda market and then we stop to the History Village. We enjoyed our tour and of course with a 2years and half old boy the main attraction was the train... he really love it.

Such a wonderful experience being able to step back in time. There are so many interesting things to see and r gives a good understanding of what life was like for the early settlers. Our tour guide was fabulous and very knowledgeable. Definitely worth a visit.

My family has always been a part of the hills and has contributed a lot to the History Village. Its a shame to not hear anything new or noteworthy about it nowadays. There's so many events in Kalamunda that I feel its just not included in.

Full of history of the local area and some excellent examples of old trains, buses, fire trucks and tractors. A great step back in time and very cheap little adventure for the young family

Took the kids up on Sunday and even though we were only there 20-30 minutes they had an absolute blast having a look at all the old equipment and of-coarse the steam train was the highlight but there was heaps of other interesting things to see 🙌 for only $21 for 4 people we had a great adventure and got some great photos 🤩

Kalamunda is a true gem! The town itself has a few old-ish buildings, but the absolute highlight was the historic village museum. It's got everything you need for the real experience but at the same time it's compact enough to be enjoyed by both culture orientated adults as well as kids. There are a few private houses, a post office, a railway station building, a general store, a blacksmith, a petrol station, a bus station and a few others.

Excellent museum of local history representing most of what one can find in a small settlement of the late 19 early 20c.

👍 Overall, my experience at the Kalamunda Artisan Markets is a good. Situated in "Perth hills" on the first Saturday of every month, you'll find a variety of stalls with plants, cheese, ceramics, art, coffee, food-- the list goes on. I only ever really go for the plants because I have a problem (plant...

👍👍 Lovely spot for a walk. We brought our doggo here and there are spots where they are allowed to be off-leash but look out for the areas where you have to put them back on. Thoroughly enjoyed our walk even though the weather turned in the middle of our day out.
