Nice beach, white sand and beautiful sunshine, but too many people and too close for comfort especially at these times of the pandemic. It was a public holiday with carparks at full capacity, especially when the temperature was in the thirties! The photos shown are more in the vicinity of Coogee Jetty with many young people having a great time, while someone in the watch tower busy looking on!

Our anytime beach 😎. Amazing for snorkeling early in the morning and beautiful for swimming before the wind come in the arvo.

The beach is great. But lifeguards are not so great. For example there were over 1500 people today on the beach and there were no lifeguards. Other times they finish very early, at 3pm!!! when many people come after midday heat. In Europe lifeguards have two shifts and start early in the morning around 6am and finish late afternoon, usually after 6pm when no one swims anymore. Here it is a bit like with school zones wrongly assuming the kids never walk to or from their schools after 4pm or on weekends.

Beautiful beach. Was a bit overcast the day we went. Has a shark net so you can swim in peace. A platoon with a little slide. Water was a little too cool for my liking lol but my husband and son loved it 😊

Beautiful spot for swimming snorkelling or sunbathing. Snorkelling I saw a lot of different fish up to 0.5m length. I went early afternoon - waves were getting up a bit and there was a bit of undertow. Maybe better to go earlier. Minus one star because of the repair work being done - ugly and diesel smelling machinery left at back of beach. I guess this will be gone soon?

A very nice beach with a pier. The ocean has some amazing colours here. There is parking nearby with a playground too.

I went to the neighborhood where my granddaughter Alexa's friend lives. It's a windy day, so I didn't enjoy it enough, but I want to go there again.

Great beach for kids. The water is always flat as Cockburn Sound is very protected. The facilities are good, but parking fills up quickly on hot days!

Lots a blowies but managed to get the baits to a few legal fish. Need long rod to get the bait out to the deep water, where the legal fish lie. Need lots of bait to attract the trumpies

Beautiful stretch of beach! You have the shark barrier around part so safer for swimming. Just next to the omeo ship wreck for diving! Cafes Along are good and ocean is usually calm and beautiful. Great community area

Safe swimming beach with jetty to jump off. Pontoon in shark net area with slide. Very close to the snorkel area with shipwreck and other items to look out for.

Great little stretch of beach with gentle waves and a nice jetty for kids to walk about and swim to. Couple of slides further out into the sea for the more advanced swimmers. Toilets and benches are nearby which is great!

Great long beach with plenty of parking. Clear blue water. Signs warning of snakes in the dunes. There is a shark net on part of the beach for safe swimming. No shade so bring your own.

Very crowded, no seating. Food was very average and expensive.

A good stretch of beach - long enough to easily find some empty spots. We always enjoy our visits there.

Having lived near Coogee Beach my whole life, I can confidently say it's a fantastic spot for family picnics & bonding. The waters pretty calm which makes it ideal for swimming and snorkeling, although be cautious of jellyfish – they can leave you with some uncomfortable rashes that last a couple of days!

Great beach. Beautiful and underrated.

It's a great place to go for a swim. Many come here to just relax and enjoy the beach and the jetty. The water is crystal clear and there is also a shark net to protect swimmers. Another draw is that there is a nearby picnic area on well kept grass with BBQs and seating.

Good snorkelling at the wreck

Great beach, felt safer swimming here with the shark net and the pontoon is an added bit of fun. Busy place but plenty of space to set up.

A really good spot to enjoy the sun and have a good swim. There is a big shark net so you can have peace of mind when you enjoy your swim. Beach gets little busy during weekends and public holidays but usually pretty free during the early mornings. Also there is a long jetty where you can have a jump into sea or snorkeling in the nearby ship wrack.

Spent the day here eating picnic, playing Frisbee and having a swim.... The place was clean (apart from a couple of potty mouths) easy to park and a very short walk to the beach, toilets were clean and well stocked.

Nice Jetty to walk along with others fishing. Beautiful views of the district and a nice park setting with walks, a small eatery that is closed during winter, toilets and places to eat that would be good for during summer.

Lovely beach for some family activities. The shelters are a bit run down and could use some work but definitely a nice spot to relax!

A fantastic beach for all. Shark barrier area for all swimmers is a great. Omeo shipwreck and dive trail is fantastic for all levels of snorkelling. Water is always clear and calm.

Wow, I love this place, little to no waves, can be kids friendly. Alittle far from many places but a very good beach I would say, there's wollies and BWS near by.

Absolutely beautiful beach, must visit for anyone in the area, parking can be a challenge in this area.

Great beach, free parking and an incredible amount of space if you're willing to walk a little bit further down.

Coogee beach has always been a favorite beach of mine but today I nearly drowned trying to save my friend yet not a single person from a jetty come to help me while I was yelling out help neither any life guard but a random Asian dude swam out from the beach to help me thanks dude I'll never forget you helping me

Great place for a swim with the little ones. Same great stretch of beach but with much nicer amenities and a better cafe.

Fantastic place to take the family for a day of swimming and a barbeque. For free. Has change rooms toilets showers a small cafe to get an ice cream and fish and chips. Lovely place to swim inside the shark barrier net and you can also catch a bus to the beach but check out the transperth timetables.

The beach here is nice, but the changerooms by the café are DISGUSTING. There is hair on the floor, water everywhere, dirt in all corners, bugs, and who knows what else. Very unsatisfying when you are trying to change.
