Big beautiful lake with an abundance of birdlife to watch. Nice and easy walk path circling the lake with some limestone tracks in between to cut through if you prefer a shorter walk. Plus grassed areas by the lake to sit and enjoy the scenery. Great to bring your pooch for walks, as you can let them off the lead at one end of the park. I ❀️ it.

My first time there, clear indication was shown of exactly what I was after, Rainbow bee-eaters, photographers all over come to see their beautiful colours at certain months of the year starting around late September as the birds migrate to bring up their new generation.

Really enjoyed the park and walking trails. Well looked after. Great place for young and old. You can bring your dogs as well. You've got lovely walking trails with bridges that pass over wetlands and lookout spots. Lots of parking around the reserve. If you're looking for a break from the busy nature of life, this is a beautiful space.

A beautiful lake & reserve with a lovely walk around the lake. Tennis courts & playground with amenities & good parking. Quite a few water birds including a pair of swans with 4 cygnets, even saw a Musk Duck for the first time. Lake very full from recent rain & looking wonderful.

I absolutely love this place! There's so many spots to walk, sit and explore. There's a wooden gazebo on the water, football oval, toilets and lots of beautiful swampland and nature reserve. It's a shame that the council aren't doing much to keep the nature reserve healthy πŸ§πŸ˜’

Lovely place to walk the dog. Dogs can be off leash on most of the trail. And. It's quite a big park. There's tennis court and hitting wall.

Attending Lake Gwelup is a daily occurrence for me and my dogs, its a perfect walk in the morning with a coffee in your hand from the local coffee shop, caffeine. There are a few secret trails we have found which venture into the wetlands a little more. Its lovely to have this little piece of nature so close to the freeway. Unfortunately there isnt enough parks/lakes like this around perth anymore. Its gets quite busy in the afternoon too so pick your time if you have the flexibility.

A Winter wonderland of bird calls, dew droplets and crisp blue skies. Find a break between the showers and revel in the wetland areas, winding bush tracks or open grassy areas. With well maintained paths and spaces for all types, this park a true gem within Perth' s Northern Suburbs.

I love walking my dog around the lake with so many others doing the same. It’s great to be in the nature whilst being so close to the city!
