Nesting season so ducklings and cygnets to see, light breeze, spring weather, relaxing & pleasant 3.5km walk, free - what more could you ask for?

Shaded park with play equipment for kids. Some days the Açaí bowl food truck is there for coffees and açaí bowls. Lots of wildlife to enjoy and path to walk. Filtered water for bottle refills.

One of my favourite places to go near floreat. I find peace in the serene landscapes all around the lake. Walking trails around the lake and also a very well maintained playing area for kids.

At times, can smell or be very noisy with the birds, but it is my usual walk and i walk around the lake at least three times a week, as do others who may jog, cycle, or skate. Popular walking track, with a nice view of the sunset and wildlife on occasion.

Great place to run or jog or just have a walk. STUNNING lake with great walkways, a couple lovely booths overlooking the lake. There's also a cafe where people love to get their coffee after the run, and a playground. It's got everything you need.

Beautiful lake walk and only about 3.5km for one lap around the lake. There's public toilets available on the opposite side to the gazebo. Drinking taps at 2-3 spots along the walk. Best in the morning or day time as around sunset lots of flying bugs

Beautiful conservation wetlands in West Leederville. Fantastic for walks, fitness, cycling, and picnics. There's a massive amount of wildlife, including the iconic swans,as well as board walks, playgrounds, bmx bowls, toilet facilities, and most times, some food trucks. The reserve is mostly shaded under a canopy of native bush land and set around a beautiful lake. Allow an hour to complete the circuit. It's going to be a favourite location for my walks.

Beautiful. Human, dog and cyclist friendly walking track. Acai bowls and smoothie truck is near the dog exercise area where they are also building a new skate park. A few playgrounds for the little ones. Quite similar to Albert Park in Melbourne.

Magnificent lake reserve with parks at different sections around the lake. Great views from different directions toward Perth Skyline or residential homes along Lake Monger Drive. Walking trails and cycle paths around the lake were also great for people to take a long walk, or cycling to take in some nice views. Even on a weekday especially in the early afternoon, there was a consistent flow of people going around the reserve.

Kid friendly, for scooters and bikes Rad skate park, good for pro skaters who like tricky looped tracks. Great parking, and a good place to practice novice skating haha! πŸ˜‚ Lovely place to walk around, go to the bird viewing hut, see wildlife, and get a fresh breeze of air 🩡🌻🌳πŸͺΏπŸ’ Very close to Leederville, lots of places to have dinner, jog, skate or walk around πŸ½πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸšΆ

This is a great nature reserve just 5 km of the city centre. Fantastic for early morning exercise with stunning views of the city, see people in the mornings zoom lens taking wildlife photographs, Channel 7 News use as a live cross locations for headlines.

One of the most beautiful places in and around Perth I have been to. There are lots of picnic spots, water stations for humans and doggies, children play areas, outdoor exercise equipment and toilets around the lake. There is a 3.5km path around the lake for cycling, jogging or just a leisurely walk. The lake and the reserve is home to many types of birds that you can see everyday like seagulls, pelicans, ducks, swans, cockatoos, magpies, and others (don’t their names). I also saw some adult long-necked turtles in some areas around the lake in mid-November.

Lake Monger Reserve in West Leederville is a gem that seamlessly blends natural beauty with excellent facilities. The serene lake, surrounded by walking paths and vibrant greenery, provides a stunning backdrop for leisurely strolls or picnics. The abundance of wildlife, including graceful black swans and various bird species, adds a delightful touch to the experience. The well-maintained facilities, such as picnic areas and playgrounds, make it a perfect destination for families and nature enthusiasts alike. Whether you're enjoying the scenic views or taking advantage of the amenities, Lake Monger Reserve offers a harmonious blend of nature and convenience that's truly commendable.

Absolutely lovely walk around the lake. Been here 28 years and first time I have walked around it. I went with a greyhound group I am a member of. Will definitely go again with the group or on my own with family and grandkids.

Nice 30 min walk, or quick 15 min jog around, flat path with optional scenic route, very peaceful. Plenty of benches, filtered water fountains, kids playground and free workout equipment.

Lake Monger Reserve offers an ideal setting for outdoor activities, particularly for dog owners. The area is conducive for running laps, and the view of the lake is a visual treat. One thoughtful feature is the inclusion of dog-friendly trays at the water fountains, making it convenient for both people and pets. The location is further enhanced by several good coffee shops in the vicinity, perfect for post-exercise refreshment. The only drawback is that it can get quite busy, particularly during peak hours. Overall, it's a well-equipped and scenic spot for exercise and relaxation, albeit sometimes crowded. Recommended for its amenities and location.

A great walking path around the lake, 3.7 km long. Very kid friendly. There are 3 playgrounds on the way although 2 of them are under construction at the moment. The eastern part of the lake is very noisy due to the highway being very close and the water appears unhealthy still and stinky there. Otherwise a very enjoyable walk.

This is a great place for walking, jogging, or riding. Nice flat and wide path all the way around the lake . Various places to park. I haven't tried the toilets so I'm not sure if they are any good.

Great place for a leisurely walk with friends or the dog or even a great place for a run. Plenty of parklands and kids playground and a good place just to watch the wildlife.

Only a brief visit to a beautiful lake on a wet & cool day. A lot of bird life, glorious trees & next visit will be a walk around the lake on a well maintained path.

What a place for a lovely afternoon walk! The walking trail surrounding Lake Monger meanders through beautifully maintained lawns, blossoming native gardens and shaded scrubs. There is bird life a plenty: ducks, swans and herrons, to name but a few. Numerous play area for children of all ages and drinking water fountains are scattered around, and a number of signs telling the native history of the place provides another important aspect. There is even a coffee caravan. A must visit for sure.

An amazing lake, black swans, plenty of different birds and even tortoise around. And obviously it's and perfect place to running.

  • 5/5 ChloΓ©-Jayne B. 2 years ago on Google
I love coming here. The ecosystem is well looked after and there are so many different waterfowl - haven't yet seen a tortoise. Well worth visiting in spring for a picnic, as there are so many baby birds around. The running tracks are well maintained and every so often a coffee truck turns up.

Picnic spot was nice...green...big trees...but The Public Toilet was too far away from our Picnic Area.

Such a beautiful spot tucked away in suburbia. Lots of bird life to observe, stunning visuals at sunrise and set times. Lots of parking. Lots of lovely places to sit (benches, picnic tables, undercover tables), well kept toilets, built in exercise sets and children's playgrounds. Coffee truck on weekends πŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌ There are busy but clear paths for runners, walkers and bicycles, but there are also little paths, boardwalks and "floating" platforms for the meanderers.....like myself! Tons of beautiful photo opportunities.

Our favourite spot for a weekend walk. The abundance of bird life is just amazing. And right now we have hundreds of pelicans.
