The former State Treasury building is now a hive of restaurants and bars plus an upmarket hotel. Top of the line cuisine and drinks that don't come cheap. Great place for an indulgent night out. Lack of parking is an issue, but one shouldn't drink and drive anyway.

The ribs are amazing! Actually it's just one big rib. Meat falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. Yummy cocktails too. Sorry no photos 🍖🤷

There's some great little shops hiding in the State buildings. We went to Sue Lewis Chocolatier and WOW! This is a fantastic little gem of a place. Downstairs on St George’s Terrace. They share their little niche with a record shop and a knife store.

Worth a look. Take a rickshaw for the experience and drive down both side of the road to get your travel pics. Don’t forget the Gandhi statue behind the gates - see picture. It is worth the trip on the way to another destination. By the way - can’t review Bangalore Palace - here is my take - it is underwhelming and not worth going inside. If you do go inside - be prepared to pay entry fee and a fee if you want to take photos. I was amazed at this - not the cost, it’s the principal that annoyed me.

An interesting collection of repurposed areas within the old GPO building in Perth. Lots of good eateries, great coffee, art spaces and more. Connects to the luxurious Como Hotel

Beautiful modernist architecture blending effortlessly with its old companions in a fusion of past and present. Plenty of extremely high quality dining options available within, and adamant helpful and friendly staff to guide you should you have any queries.

I took photos at a wedding at the State Buildings and was blown away by the whole experience. The friendly staff were flawless and totally professional all day. The venue itself was really beautiful, well appointed, and easy to navigate. Everything just flowed seamlessly from start to finish.

What’s not to love. So many great eateries inside this beautiful building. Did I mention Sue Lewis Chocolates, best in the business.

Wow, I went to see the magnificent blue kangaroo paw. What a plant and well done to Fox and Rabbit for an awesome display. Congratulations to the building owners/manager for keeping the authentication of this state building

Visited to eat at Long Chim. The building has been renovated really beautifully and has created an amazing atmosphere full of different venues. Long Chim itself was great. Overall a lovely place to visit in the CBD

We enjoyed a delicious meal and attentive service from Blossom at Long Chim. All of the staff were genuinely friendly. We had reserved a table and I'd recommend anyone else wanting to dine here to do the same, it was very busy. This didn't impact our food or service though, thank you 😋

Went to Cape Aria Room for high tea for mum's birthday with mum, sister and sister in laws. Unlimited variety of teas, the scrumptious little savoury and desserts, so good!! Our server was the best, very honest but so lovely. His service was top notch! Will be back again soon 🥰

Listen up perth! Someone pay my parking fine and I’ll change this 1 star to a 5 star! Great deal If you asked me. Nothing personal, just business

We had lunch in a delightful basement Thai restaurant called Long Chim. It's in The newly renovated State Government Building cnr of Barrack St & St Georges Terrace Perth. You need to book as popular even on a Thursday lunchtime. Full bar and lunch time menu at $38 per head. Good food, great speedy service. Opens 12noon.

Really stunning heritage building with a lot of great places to eat and drink. It has a pretty pretentious crowd, particularly on a Friday, but there is a variety of venues so there is something for everyone.

Quite possibly the most beautiful building in Perth. Housing some of the best eateries in Australia. Highly recommended.

👍👍 If you're wanting something a little intimate and different this is a beautiful experience. I'd even say it makes for a great first date, the candles add to the ambience and romance of the venue coupled with exquisite acoustics it made for a fantastic evening.
