Just off Great Eastern Highway this beautiful park has it all. A new, well designed children's playground, a large manicured lawn area with plenty of space for running or just sitting around, an elevated cafe with a healthy menu, direct access to the beautiful river , a kayak club, a big new looking carpark and clean restrooms all with wheelchair access. I didn't see any dogs but I can't see why you wouldn't bring them to this well appointed park to exercise or play.

Easy to find at the West end of Fauntleroy in Ascot with plenty of parking. This is a clean, well kept and picnic perfect park. Well appointed with men's & ladies restroom facilities, drinking water, bins and plenty of grassy areas around their free BBQs in both sunny and shady options. Meandering walk paths through some preserved wetlands, along the foreshore and all through the park. They have installed a good playground that serves all ages of kids from 1 to 101, with shade sails above and sand beneath.

A great place to take your family, dogs, or... horses? Beautiful scenery, clean pathways, and stunning views of the river, with a cafe and a playground for children, and plenty of seating near BBQs, Garvey park is truly a great place to spend an afternoon. Most of the paths throughout the park are easy to follow, although not all of them are paved. Be careful when it's been raining as some of the paths can get a bit slippery and muddy. Occasionally there are horses as well, but usually more ducks than horses.

Lots of shadey trees, sandpit playground good for older children with swings as well. Extra parking for busy / peak times. Perfect picnic spot.

Been a while since I have been there. They have since replaced the Playground that was there with a newer and better one for kids of all ages. Swan River is also right there if you keen for kids to keep cool on hot days. Plenty of shade from Trees and Playground has shade sails all over it.

Great for toddler as the play area is perfectly suited for their age, is super large compared to other parks and has plenty of shade. Went there with the little one who didn't know where to start and didn't agree to leave when we did. There's also a coffee place next to it selling food and $5 hot chips perfect for having a bite if you didn't bring any snacks.

One of the nicest reserves/parks-along-the river that are along the Swan River. Can drop a line in and catch a bream or two as well. My son caught his first fish (a bream - yes) there when he was 6 yo

Really enjoyed this place. Great play area, picnic area, cafe, trails for bikes and walking, and toilets plus kayaking. Only downside is the mosquitoes but that's not the park's fault

Nice place to go and let the kids run around, there's a playground, plenty of space to chill out and relax. Toilets, BBQ's and a cafe. Just be aware that the mozzies can be bad sometimes.

This is a fantastic spot for a family day out. There is a great playground that accommodates toddlers wonderfully. There are several barbecues and picnic tables amongst gumtrees and so much gras. The area is on the shore of the river with perfect spots for kayaking. We had such a wonderful day out, highly recommend getting out on the water.

Huge green open space, light bushed area to walk/adventure in. Awesome kids play ground. The river with a couple of sand beaches. Coffee shop at Ascot Kayak club.

Lots of open space right next to the river and it has a sensibly sized playground with a cafe. It is quite close to the airport so you can occasionally hear planes take off.

I love Garvey Park so this review is not for the park itself but for the City Of Belmont. I was at Garvey Park on Saturday and unfortunately I seen sum used condoms and syringes, where I usually park up under the tree so on Monday morning I called the City Of Belmont to report this as there are many kids that play in this park but I did not think the council was taken this seriously but they said they were looking into it I went back to the park on Wednesday afternoon and the used condoms and syringes were still there so I called the City Of Belmont back again and I felt that I got the same reply that they weren't really interested but I did get a call back by a very rude Ranger so I went back there again today Friday and the use condoms and syringes were still there so I called the council back again and once again they treated it like a joke I don't think this council cares about safety if they did they would have cleaned this up as soon as possible the two photos that are attached were taken on the Wednesday and today Friday please contact the city of Belmont and pressure them to keep our parks clean. City Of Belmont keeping our streets and parks clean is the main job for a council shame on you.

Enjoyed a beautiful morning with my son and his 16mth old twins. The pint size playground was perfect for the girls who otherwise wouldn't have been able to climb, swing and slide. Enjoyed hot chips and a cuppa from the Cafe. Perfect place to relax and enjoy by the river.

Good place for the littlies to run wild, swim in the river, play ball games while the adults take it easy, cook on the BBQs or join in with the littlies. Great place for a picnic.

Went to try out my new fishing kayak. 10 out of 10. They have a kayak fishing slalom and Ascot Kayak Club is there for lessons. A huge park great for walks, kids and fishing for Black Bream.

A lovely area to walk/ride around. It's a shame that there isn't much in the way of coffee and cake options. F'n Perth...

Great spot to get away, toilets, playground, cafe and plenty of item space. A lot of paths to walk along the river too.

Very serene little park with a robust playground for kids. The river can be entered here, although I have only done this once and it had a lot of silt. SUP hire is nearby and the usual amenities such as barbecues and toilets are on offer. A great picnic venue.

Garvey Park was great this morning. Took new kayak out for a test paddle. River smooth made for pleasant paddle. Not many people around. Finished with coffee and egg and bacon muffin at the kiosk Both would be the nicest I have had in a long time

🫤 We hired Nauti picnic for our daughters 16th bday. Overall a great experience, the kids loved the cruise. Only faults- Couldn’t find the speaker anywhere to play music for the 3hrs 😂 her reply states we should’ve told her- bit late once on the boat. Sadly felt like the owner was a little bit stress...
