Extremely slow service and with about 25 patrons in the place I’d expect faster service. 6 TV’s showing 2 sports and 4 of them on the same sport. Not impressive place and for a pub in a nice part of the city I’d expect more. Not sure if the prices have been increased lately but a bit overpriced. I didn’t try the food as I didn’t have the time to spare.

Three of us came in for dinner and drinks around 7pm, a good number of patrons enjoying themselves on plenty of tables. Found a spot easily and ordered drinks and meals. Staff were very friendly and drinks poured in no time at all. Did not have to wait long before our steak and chips were served, excellent meals and the steaks were cooked perfectly. Top atmosphere and great location. Would definitely go back the next time I visit Perth.

We had gone here for a family get together reading the good reviews across the road from my home. Overall experience- Poor and utterly disappointed - Poor quality of meat - Cold and dry chips served - minute steak which has been sliced on a meat slicer - paper thin served with steak sandwich - cheap cheese used on food - kids fish and chips was a cheap cut of fish and expensive for what was recieved. - bar service was terrible, we finished our food before the drinks came around. We are never visiting again. Folks, there are plenty of better options around this place.

I recently visited Fenians Irish pub and tried their bangers and mash. I must say, it was absolutely delicious! The sausages were perfectly cooked and had a great flavor, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and flavorful. The portion size was generous and it was a very satisfying meal. The atmosphere in the pub was cozy and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend trying the bangers and mash at Fenians, it was a great experience overall. Can't wait to visit again!

Was here for lunch and had zero expectation. Simple pasta with fresh big prawns was good and I simply love the fish and chips. Shall be back for more food and beer next time.

My partner and I went for lunch today. The food was beautifully presented and very tasty. The service was very good. A lovely quaint little Irish pub. Only improvement I would suggest is you be a little more authentic and play Irish music over your speakers and not American music as you did today. It would add to the atmosphere. This would have completed my experience. All in all we had a lovely time. Thankyou.

Staying at the Novatel so went there for dinner. Had garlic bread, pork belly and sticky date. Pub was busy and had good vibe to it. Ordering was painless. As it was busy I would have thought I would get the garlic bread out first but it came with the mains. Garlic bread was good. Pork belly was okay. The crackling was not good which is always the best part. Sauce was okay with it. The coleslaw was actually pretty good. I decided would go with the sticky date for dessert. That was not so good at all. The date puddings were not warmed enough. The pudding was not moist and quite solid. The caramel sauce was too salty or burnt or something but is was just okay. The price for the above and 2 pints was around $80. So that is why 3 stars. Would I go back, yeah it was good enough to go back too but I will look elsewhere next time.

Comfortable space with barrel tables, and couches. Located near CBD walking distance to other restaurants and bars, a block away from the Swan River. Food was good, different beers available, friendly service.

Very convenient Pub at Novotel Hotel. Kitchen closes at 9pm. The staff is very friendly and kind. I want to thank Cibran for his recommendations. I ended up having the burger. Even though it was quite tasty, I was expecting to be slightly bigger for the price I paid for it. $28 Lots of fries but small burger, when it should be the opposite. This won't stop me from going there again and trying other dishes, though. The venue is quite big and can host big groups.

The staff here are exceptionally friendly, from the bar to the wait staff. The food however 🤢 was not great. The chips were quite stale and lacked any flavour, they were simply beyond terrible. The chicken schnitzel was processed meat, rather than a proper chicken breast you would expect, this was also not properly cooked and tasted awful. The onion rings were done well, and the calamari was done well.

Nice pub and very crowded even on the weeknights. Got chicken parmi and the mussels of the day specials (+ Stella for drink) Chicken parmi was nice, generous cheese and chicken was juicy as well We were waiting for around 25 minutes for the mussels ( I was assuming that they might have a lot of the specials order that night) However, the mussels came with a huge portion and were also very fresh! Price was reasonable with the quality and quantity Will come back again to try other dishes

The Tuesday special that’s advised as $5 pints of local beer is limited to XXXX Gold….which is brewed in Queensland. Talented Chef, bartender is an embarrassment to the industry!

Not keen on being 'that person' but we won't be back here. Have tried this place twice , first time the burgers were quite bland and unimpressive. Second time the wait staff & kitchen were extremely slow even though the bar was not crowded. One female wait staff seemed to be incredibly annoyed to be working, slamming chairs into tables and huffing about picking up dishes. A few people from other tables complained about the service and left. We got our meal nearly an hour after ordering. Food was much nicer than our previous experience but only just warm. Sorry guys, need to up your game.

Good vibe, good service .. but was kind of expensive for what you got. $32 for bangers n mash and a middy.. maybe overcharged? Then my dinner was served in a bowl? Random. Never had sausages and mash in a bowl before haha.

Decent pub food.I had the Guinness pie, which was nice enough, mash was good. Service friendly, but day we went not much of an atmosphere (7.15-830). Would come back.

The pie was good but the pastry was hard, flat and tasted old and fatty . 😪😪😑 Sausages and mash ok 👍. I missed the peas 🫛 that the menu said was going to be with my pie.. A bit sad guys .. But definitely love the Irish pub ... I am hoping you might get the ' SHEPHERDS PIE ' For winter and have a little more Irish flare .. We came a long way to you and the experience was a bit disappointing ❤️

Absolute disaster! Unable to even order a meal, staff tried but obviously very, very poor, uninterested management. This was once a good lively pub. Our party walked out and went to Grovenor, which was good. Very sad.

Very nice Irish cream beer, fantastic creamy foam. The food is ok as i used accor plus membership discount. If you don’t have the discount, the portion can be a bit small as compared to other bar. Taste good though. Will revisit soon.

Some good beers of tap and the people serving you are fantastic. The food can be a hit and miss affair. The snacks we ordered a few days before was perfect very enjoyable. Unfortunately the snacks ordered a few days later when catching up with more friends was not so good, no issue with the fries, but the other snacks were pretty ordinary. The outside area is great this time of year as well.

Not the atmosphere of an Irish pub. Parmy tasted like it had been cooked and recooked several times. They don't take cash and add1.5% for card transaction. The 7 of us finished our average food and went to the pub around the corner and spent about $300 more in cash

Popped in whilst doing a city shop and browse for Christmas- easy parking and easy to find. We ended up getting the Fenian burger and the Holy Cluck Chicken burger, service was amazing with a small Xmas gift for the kids. Food was served promptly with great service and burgers were amazing. Great little pub and would definitely return.

State of Origin NRL at Fenians. Thankyou so much Mandy and Jasmin for going out of your way to set up the game on the big screen. Created a great atmosphere for the crowd. Food and drinks perfect. A very memorable night. Has become a favourite place to visit when in town.

  • 4/5 Colin T. 1 year ago on Google
Overall a good place for those who live locally or to attend for after work drinks or dinner. I am not giving it 5-stars because I am part of the group who don't live locally and need to walk or travel using public transport to get to the venue, and the surrounding parking areas are limited for those who come here for short term dining. There is a good amount of space for dining, standing, and a sufficient number of TV screens for viewing the sports if you are into those kinds of things. This venue was chosen by the team after work as a place for drinking, so I cannot assess how the food was as none were ordered, so this experience was based the very little time I spent here, so take this review with a grain of salt...

Good old fashioned atmosphere, nice courteous staff. Food isn't the greatest. I had the beef a Guinness pie, I've had better and the vegies where two small carrots and Cale that disintegrated to nothing in my mouth. Still a good pub for a drink.

Begrudgingly 2 Grey stars for the service. Staff were great and very apologetic for a poor meal. Crispy pork belly came out limp and flaccid first time - just awful. Second time crispier but fatty and not great. Fish was OK but only average. Really disappointing considering it was the signature dining experience of the Novotel. I would be ashamed of claiming that meal. Expected a lot better as a Novotel member.

We rang to reserve a table. There was no table booked. No one was bothered that we never had a table we were told to just sit where you like The meal was very average. Mashed potatoes warm and the peas that went with the dinner were actually in the pie. One of us had bangers and mash. When she asked for gravy she just got a blank look from the waitress. Her mash was only just warm also Won't be going again.

In a word 'disappointing'. Normally Irish pubs are full of home cooked flavour but Fenians was simply bland. Lowlights: My wife's main came it before the shared entree, my steak was overcooked and not seasoned, the gravy was served with a skin on it. Positives: the beer is cold and the potato based food was good. I recommend going somewhere else as there are plenty of other options in the area. We won't come back.

Visited Fenians December 26, for dinner. Hadn't been for a number of years and sad to say, probably won't be back for some time. My wife and I had the Guiness pie and mash potatoes. Very disappointed in the flavour of the pie, pastry was very flaky and powdery. Mash potatoes were cold, had to put in to pie juices to warm up. Presentation wasn't considered. Very disappointed for the price paid, which was not cheap.

Not a bad place, relaxed atmosphere and very nice Guinness on tap. I had the salmon, which was a tiny dish for $38. Beautifully cooked though, and a nice honey glaze, but nothing to write home about. Also Guinness cheesy loaded fries which were nice, but maybe garnished fries would be a better name for it. It was a light drizzle of sauce at best. The jalapeno croquettes were pretty tasteless and I couldn't tell if there was any jalapeno in them. Overall the food was just a bit uninspiring and overpriced.

Please bring back the black pudding to the menu 😭 The menu is getting worse over time.. Last time I was here they have really exciting menu with variety of schnitzel and sliders.. This time they don't even have regular burger on the menu or chicken wings.. so sad 😓

Ordered fish and chips and was able to substitute chips with roasted potatoes instead (that's what the photo in the menu looked like) Food came and was pretty tasty. Staff brought the ketchup out promptly too. Good service I thought. Then after finishing the main waited for an hour for desert! Not so good! Would have been 4* otherwise. The bread and butter pudding was tasty, though I'd have preferred the custard to be thicker.

Really disappointed as we were heading to this place for my birthday... we called ahead tonight and asked what time they closed - this was at about 19:30. We then were told that they stopped serving food at 20:30, so we made our way in by bus and train. By the time we got there, it was 20:05 and the whole place was closed. Security working at the hotel next door said they had closed five minutes prior to our arrival...

First time to this place. It's on the city. Like the outdoor sitting where it looks out to Adelaide Terrace. There are ample outside sittings. Went for a drink. They have quite a few choices of beer. On Friday evening they have discounts to all beers. I would like to see the unnatural to be renovated. Bringing the classic look of the place. It would be stunning. I would like to come back to try the food. Hours you enjoy your drink.
