Great affordable food for a bar. Burgers were great but fries are way too salty.

First visit last night 19/8/23. Started off with the bouncer interrogating us as we were having a laugh coming down the lane way, so he assumed we were heavily intoxicated. I get it’s his job but far out, crack a smile, be polite and respectful at a minimum. He told us we couldn’t take our collector drink glasses in there that were in bags. We thought it was odd but agreed as he told us to leave them on the ground and he will watch them till we return. As we exited, I asked the same bouncer where the glasses were. He said not sure and that he never said he would watch them. Just a plain lie and he has this smirk on his face as if he was just too cool for anyone. Bar staff were pretty hit and miss too. Some so friendly and some were bush so miserable. Great venue, nice drinks but our whole group won’t return as your security team were very unprofessional and unwelcoming.

Great place, good vibe. Tucked down the alley, with some great drinks and cocktails! Highly recommend the Cherry Coke cocktail, out of this world.

The atmosphere is amazing, great band behind the chicken wire and so many good drinks. Bar staff are next level and friendly door staff too. Well done guys

Hard to find, which made it fun for me. Took a picture of the art work on front entrance and then carried on looking, It's like a secret spot ;) Nice and cosy, old fashion charm, lots of timber, gentle lighting, cherry cola and BOBBY LONG SOUR is delicious and food is so tasty wow, wonderful atmosphere, I will be back for sure, the design and decor is a treat, it's like you have walk back into a classy old school vibe.

The door men seem to have an amazing way to judge your sobriety without any reason of refusing entry. This is terrible customer service and unjustified judgement of character when a person is of happy mood. Unfortunately this visit did not meet my expectations

If I could rate this place less than one star, I would. I was mocked and initially denied entry because the crowd controller deemed me "intoxicated" despite not having drunk a drop of alcohol that night. When it was explained to the crowd controller by my two friends that I have autism (hence some of my quirks and social miscues) the crowd controller still refused and an approved manager was called. Eventually, I was allowed entry on the undertaking I did "not drink any alcohol inside" of which I upheld. I then elected to file an email to the management about the concern for not only myself, but other customers who may have intellectual disabilities and be misjudged. Management responded saying "It is the crowd controller`s call and we respect that" So be warned - if you have an intellectual disability and want to drink here, you may be mocked and have your quirks shredded to bits.

Great American South themed bar. Open till late at night and well worth a visit.

Had amazing experience here. Large variety of American whiskey, rye and bourbon.Small range of cocktails, but each one is made with theatre and taste great. They have a smaller food menu and they do it right. The double beef and spicy chicken burgers were fresh and filling. Surely visiting again.

Awesome bar. Great service from the bartenders who have great banter. Along with the amazing food, they also serve jerky and peanuts as bar snacks. Great country vibe. Will always be a regular. Good work guys.

This is a fun place after you have been out there own beers taste pretty good. Love the cage where the band plays Blues brother stuff. Staff work real hard to beer to the masses lol.

Rude doormen! On the way out, I missed the step and fell. The doorman and his friend simply laughed. No one bothered to ask if I was ok or helped me, which made me feel more embarrassed than I already was. These two ‘men’ just looked at each other and laughed hysterically. If it wasn’t for this happening I wouldn’t have bothered to review the rest of the venue but since I’m here, this place is a dive! Took forever to get a drink, no menus (not that you’d be able to see it even if there were as you’re practically walking in the dark) and all tables and chairs were either full of other people’s half eaten chicken wings or piled up glasses. The only positive is that bar staff were polite and clearly trying their best.

Alabama has always been a favourite haunt and is right in for my tastes of whiskey. I took a group of friends there the other night and was surprised at how impersonal, and unexcited the staff were. It just seemed like none of them wanted to be there. We bought a first round of drinks and sat on the stools at the bar. It makes sense that the stools were there to sit on but as soon as we sat there, we were ignored and it was next to impossible to get another round. We had to get up and move away and come back to finally get service. A girl came up and mentioned that if you want decent service you need to tip the bar staff and following her movements around the room it looked like she worked there as well. Interesting. Overall, my experience and impression of Alabama Song has greatly decreased.

Great cocktails and beers. Bar food is pretty good. The staff is not always great though, and the music is too loud for a bar. I've been twice and could see myself going a third, but it's not a place to catch up over a beer.

Wow, this place sure, has some atmosphere! Can’t wait to visit again. Look out for the sneaky surcharge when paying with anything other than cash.

My favourite bar in Perth. 0.50cent wings on Wednesday and Sunday nights and live music Friday's and Saturday's from 10pm. A great vibe and great drinks. When you feel like switching it up, head downstairs to Joe's Juice bar with the DJ and pinball machines

We went to this bar as a part of a pub crawl. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this place was! It was filled with American decor and memorabilia with themed drinks and food to boot! We went around 10pm and they had live music which was so good (it was perfect for a dance!) the aircon was also blasting which was amazing due to the heat of the night🔥. Just as we were leaving one of my friends hit her head on the door when we were leaving and ended up passing out. The staff were prepared and on top of the situation,with their help we got home nice and safe. I would definitely come again.

Jaxson was so amazing with offering great cocktail options based on our wants/requests, even when flat out it was great experience. Didn't try the food.

Literally the best Burgers in Perth (top 5 burger places I've been worldwide no lie) the chef is a beast! Value for money unmatched as well. Great venue if you like rock, blues Americana

Staff are nice and so were the drinks, highly acclaimed by friends. Wednesday wing nights are a great deal with a group of people. Some gripes I had were that the lighting was pretty lacking, I know it is supposed to fit the aesthetic, but still wasn't awesome to experience. And I couldn't order just chips without the jalapenos or sauce, bit odd. But other than that the food tasted really nice :)

I've been coming here for years and I love it. I especially love Sundays and Wednesdays when the wings are popping

This is the best hamburger on earth. I cried as I ate it then ordered a second one. The bar is great but get the burger.

Would like to give a special thankyou to the guy who overrode the Asian security guards decision to not let me and my friend in on Sunday night when we weren't even intoxicated. Thank you kind sir, we went in and had a ball! Would have been five stars had it not been for the Asian guard who seemed to have a personal vendetta against us and felt the need to quiz us about how we had spent our day.

Very pleased with the portions - the fried chicken is deliciously authentic. And the cocktails are strong and tasty. Bonus points if you’re a fan of bourbon! Will definitely be back to check out the live music another time.

We had a private function and exclusively booked the venue for the evening. From start to finish the staff and have gone above and beyond to help us have an amazing night. Vibes were immaculate and food was spectacular. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and Annelies the events manager was beyond flexible and accommodating to help us achieve our vision! Would recommend again and again

Maybe I'm just too old now, but this place was too busy and crowded by the time the live music started on a Saturday night. I've been there other times though, and it's been a fantastic venue. Low lighting, great bluesy, country, southern rock tunes and a great selection of drinks. Staff were particularly awesome too.

Went there tonight with two mates and absolutely loved the place. Amazing bar team and great atmosphere. Yes slightly dark but that just adds to it.

I love the atmosphere of this place I will be coming back, but tonight I tried to notifie the bar staff lady that there was a broken glass on the stairs, witch is extremely dangerous and she completely ignored me and just walked away, luckily a bar staff that was behind her, stopped and took care of the issue, if the other staff wasn't there someone could have gotten seriously hurt specifically beacuse the venue can be very dark.

Unfortunately my friend group had a bad first impression of Song Bar due to a ridiculously rude & aggressive staff member - “John” (the name he gave me) on the 11/12 Sat night. We got to Alabama Song & the place was packed so we were standing to the side deciding what to do as there wasn’t much seating at the time - John stormed over & asked us to move as we were standing near the bar entrance - we immediately obliged for him and stepped to the side. John then stormed back over & demanded we move again as we were near the kitchen serving bar (note there was no food there & there was no where else for us to practically stand in that specific moment) - due to there being no seating & John’s bizarrely aggressive behaviour we decided to try a different bar instead - we immediately starting walking towards the stairs to leave when John took it upon himself to start touching my female friend - whereby he was touching her back/lower back to usher us out. I told John that there was no need for him to put his hands on my friend, he responded “don’t tell me what to do” and began stalking us out of the bar & ran to security despite the fact that we had done literally nothing wrong, we had immediately complied with his rude demands to move, & had voluntarily left the bar ourselves without being asked. This guy was on a serious power trip & has issues thinking it’s ok to touch women without their consent - disgusting man. Sadly ruined our entire first experience here as it otherwise looked like a cool bar.

I am an old guy but if I were 18 again I would make this the bar I drank at. Good atmosphere.

If I could give 0 stars I would. A mate of mine got his Id confiscated as the security deemed it to be fake…his card will come back to him from the police as it is real, the security guard should have a good check at his ego before making decisions, we couldn’t even speak to the venue manager as we wanted to get his Id back and not even enter the venue at this stage. As a bartender who constantly checks ID, this was handled poorly and we sure won’t be coming back.

$10 burgers on a Thursday is great! Fantastic tasting burgers and a decent selection of beers on tap.

Tried to order a chicken burger without cheese and was told this was absolutely not possible as the owner does not allow any substitutions at all. I’m unsure if this is true or if the person who served us was just rude and not wanting to help. We explained that my partner has a dairy allergy but she still said substitutions of any kind are not allowed. Be careful if you have any dietary requirements - if so probably best to go somewhere else as they are completely unwilling to accomodate even small changes.

Had a few drinks with mates. Had a good night. Band was great and the staff were awesome. Probably a bit dark inside. Not mood, the lighting! We had to use our phone torches to read the menu at a table. Other than that it was pretty cool.

Alright listen up, here's a story. The fried chicken has almost doubled in price. I mean, I'm a Christian, but forgiveness is actually not possible at this point. Christ himself died for THIS?! I don't think so. Anyway, it ain't easy. I hope things can bounce back, but I guess it's truly just he way it be when it do.
