First time dinning here for lunch with work colleagues for a mini celebration, the place was wonderfully quiet at 2pm to accommodate our group of 16. It was a short walk from Murray & Hay St Mall, with a short cut undercover via the Perth Bus port next door. Our group was served by 2 waitstaff, and the service was friendly. The reason for the 2 star deduction to 3 star was the quality of my lunch, since meal is one of the main focus of Market Grounds. I ordered one of the four lunch specials, the seafood marinara for $25. The presentation was lovely but unfortunately the same could not be said about the pasta. With 4 mini mussels, calamari & small fish chunks, the fettuccine was extremely overcooked and were sticking together on a cold plate. This was not enjoyable while another colleague left half of his chicken parmigiana uneaten as he mentioned it was too dry. The mixed reviews seem to indicate gnocchi would have been a better choice for the chef so we would be keen to try that next time. The atmosphere is otherwise lovely and the ambience warm during the wintery weather. I particularly like the option for separate billing, a wonderful reprieve for work lunch with staggered finish times, despite a small surcharge with Cc payment that’s not obvious.

Went for bottomless baos for $35 that they were doing for Wednesdays in February. Was served by Phoenix who was super efficient, friendly and bubbly- explained the menu to is perfectly and made sure we were comfortable. Selection of pork, tofu karaage, Korean spicy chicken and Lobster baos. - Tofu karaage was quite good and well balanced with sauce. - Pork belly bao was our favourite. Sauce was on the sweeter side but the baos balanced it well. - Lobster was quite fishy but a little more in the lighter side. Not our favourite, but each to their own. - Korean spicy chicken was exactly as described, delicious but occasionally some batches were spicier than others. Overall awesome service, good food and nice vibes to hang out. Worth the bottomless baos. Apparently someone ate 16 baos in 2 hours! We ate 9 and were stuffed!

Came for bottomless brunch yesterday afternoon. It was $70 pp for bottomless selected drinks and a three course meal. Drink selection was adequate. Entrees were shared between the table which consisted of marinated olives, beetroot dip, burrata, bread, and pork croquettes. The pork croquettes were absolutely delicious but everything else just mediocre - just antipasto really. The main was chicken breast with roasted potatoes and a bean sprout and green beans salad type thing on the side. Chicken was quite dry with little taste unless you drench it in the sauce, and the bean sprout green bean salad was extremely off-putting. Roast potatoes were tasty though. Dessert was an ice cream sandwich, personally did not like the taste at all. Overall it’s definitely not worth the money if you don’t drink, as the food is not really worth it. Would only come back again for a different type of menu selection. Paid the same price pp for bottomless brunch at Miss Chows in Claremont with bottomless dim dim and drinks with amazing service.

I have been to Market Grounds twice. Once for a work social event, once with friends. Both times have been quite pleasant experiences - the food and drinks served were good, bar staff were very friendly. Music is good, atmosphere is a really nice vibe. Options of outside in the beer garden sort of vibe, or inside near the DJ for louder music, or upstairs for a VIP type experience overlooking the dancefloor and DJ.

Booked our Sip Sip session online, and as a ceoliac, I assumed I wouldn't be able to eat the non GF options. However they actually came out with alternatives for the two courses I couldn't eat. The table across from us had a vegitarian who was also given alternatives. Margaritas and Margarita jugs were amazing! The staff were super lovely. We had two main waitresses who were amazing. I believe one of them may be called Kris (as this was written on our card for the review). There was another main course in between the jerk chicken and potatoes, which were amazing. We completely forgot to take photos of that course. We will 100% be coming here again so worth the value for money and just the experience.

$35 dollar for all you can eat gnocchi need I say more. There are three different dishes available and you can order as much as you like for the price of a regular gnocchi dish. There are also side and drinks you can order for extra. We went for my birthday dinner and our server Natalie was amazing. So lovely and really made my day special with a birthday card and glass of sparkling on the house. Thank you for making it’s a special night

Overall a very good experience here. We went for Wednesday Bottomless Gnocchi night!!! The gnocchi itself was okay. I wasn't overly impressed to be frank. But their was great staff, the cocktail menu was extensive and the venue is brilliant. Would love to come back for another meal =)

Imagine having a lovely meal right in the middle of a dance floor! That was our experience! Look don’t get me wrong, It’s not bad, the food was good and the service was on point. But if you’re booking on a Saturday night, be prepared to yell pleasantries at each other! At one point we were having desert and Khia’s classic was dropped… “my neck, my back, my p____y and my c___k. You get the picture. A memorable evening was had my all!!

Love it here so much, though I wish the menu had a little more variety. The food I've had there was great, but after being a few times I feel like I've exhausted the only few dishes I would eat there. Apart from that, I think it's wonderful. I love the atmosphere, it's location, the staff and I think for the location and quality of the place, that it's a good price.

My friends organised a 2-hour Sip Sip Session as a birthday celebration for me last Sunday & it was fantastic! The food was delicious & in abundance, the many drink choices were yummy (& endless), & the staff were really lovely. Pauline, our host was amazing! Very attentive & friendly, & even took a photo of the group & popped it in a card for my birthday! The place wasn’t too noisy so we could all chat away which was also great & worth noting. Overall it was excellent value & a really lovely celebration. We’ll be back!

I came here on Saturday for the bottomless for my birthday. We all had such an amazing experience. I loved how we didn’t have to go up to the bar and order, the staff came up to us. The girl and guy working in that area were amazing!!!! So helpful and patient. So attentive. Were not stingy about the drinks too, they kept the drinks coming. So happy with how it went 🥰

Bottomless gnocchi? Say no more! I absolutely fell in love with their fried gnocchi. It was sweet and salty and had a perfect crisp to it. The other two were also good but hugely overshadowed by the pan fried. I think my partner and I ate almost 10 plates between the two of us!

The bottomless gin was wonderful! Fantastic value for money, the service was very quick and very warm and friendly. Our server Tash was wonderful! They were happy to swap dishes if we had allergies and all were accomodating.

We had Pauline as our waitress and she was absolutely fabulous. Highly attentive and always made sure we had a full glass! Polite and great knowledge of what we were eating. Would come back just to see Pauline! Merry Christmas market grounds!

Best bottomless I’ve ever been to, the staff were so attentive and helpful finding meals I could safely consume even with allergies! 10/10 would recommend

Great bottomless - the most friendly and generous server Pauline, definitely made it exceptional!! Always made sure we were happy. Bottomless is generous with beer, wine, sparkling and cocktails - however personally think cocktails could taste a bit less artificial.

the atmosphere of the markets was really nice. The green and the wood was warm and inviting. The food was good. We tried all three of the bottomless gnocchi, the classic tomato and the beef gnocchi were both really good. The gnocchi tasted fresh and soft. The pan fried gnocchi wasn't our preference, they we're a little too chewy for our taste. Service was wonderful since the moment we stepped in. Tash was a wonderful server and made the whole experience all the more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend trying

Leo provided excellent service with a smile during the Sip Sip Margarita afternoon. The Margaritas were amazing and delicious, the Pineapple Paloma was a group fav and the food was so tasty.

Food was AMAZING, generous servings and all came out quick. All tasted very fresh definitely surprised that I liked the pumpkin one the best! The texture of the gnocchi was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Was amazing Not surprised my boyfriend liked the tomato sugo the best haha! Only thing I would say is that more people definitely need to know about it as we were the only ones in the area reserved for the gnocchi party BUT it was a Wednesday at 5pm 🤣 Service was great and everyone was super nice and accommodating! Would come back and also recommend to others 🥰

Long Lunch 10 July 2021 This was our first time trying the Long a lunch and weren’t disappointed. Firstly the staff were fantastic. Very warm and friendly and efficient. Secondly the food was delicious. A really good variety and plenty of it. I am shocked to admit that the Brussel Sprouts were incredible. Everything was nicely presented and did I mention- delicious. Thirdly the drinks. The cocktails were so nice and way to easy to drink. I’m going to making those for friends. The staff were more than happy to get refills quickly and we were able to taste everything on offer on the menu. Lastly the venue. Lovely. It’s a great spot with plenty of space and we had a booth for our group which was perfect. Great outside area for when the weather is more friendly. Plenty of paid parking a couple of minutes away. Tickets were $69 each which I think was very good value. The theme and menu changes each time and I will definitely be going back. Sorry my photos are terrible but you get the idea.

Market Grounds I’ve always been there for drinks but never for food. This is the first time that I’ve sat down and have food and I can say it’s delicious and the price is reasonable. We ordered a selection of food and all of it are delicious.
The 1kg steak is worth ordering! I can’t believe, we gone though all the food and finished it including dessert.

Friends and I did a bottomless brunch here in August - the accompanying food was tasty, and the service excellent. Returned for a meal over the weekend (Saturday evening). The service was excellent again but the food mediocre (and we thought on the pricey side). We had a sausage pizza, didn't particularly enjoy the flavour (very strongly flavoured lumps of sausage which did not go well with the rest of the pizza flavours). The broccoli sounded interesting - but came as a half head of overcooked vegetable on a bland mush of some sort. Burgers were rated OK by the rest of the table. A shame as the location is ideal, and the venue is gorgeous.

10/10 for this venue! We recently hosted an engagement party and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Functions manager Teegan answered all of our questions quickly and was incredibly helpful in the function being a success. We also want to make a mention of the staff on the evening, the bar staff were amazing! Helpful, friendly and fast. Waitstaff were the same, made extra effort to bee line to the ‘bride-to-be’ to ensure she stayed fed 😊 Overall, really really appreciate everyone and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend market ground to anyone looking for a function venue!

Like the atmosphere and music. Watch when you pay for drinks though, we were almost double charged TWICE in one hour. It was early in the night too

Thursday lunch and it wasn’t busy, yet all three steaks, potatoes and beans came out cold. Tasty but cold. Then no one checked how we found our meals then no one cleared our plates. Bit disappointing.

Great venue. Amazing hummus. The ice cream sandwich is too rich (like heavy chocolate cake) and the donuts were really hard on the outside (they didn't taste fresh to me). I didn't like that my drink was almost entirely ice (there was one giant ice block the same shape as the cup with about a 1cm gap on each side and underneath). Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of anything but the dessert.

A fun time if you're keen to be around too many people and to have bathrooms full of smashed glass.. The music is decent for a dance, but prepare for the song to change just as you're getting into it. In short - it's just as you'll expect it to be.

Have been coming to Market Grounds for a while great atmosphere, great music and most of the time great food but the chicken schnitzel dish needs an urgent overhaul. Oily, deep fried and had the thickest batter in between the thinnest piece of chicken. Not even a salad to go with

Went here for a Christmas work lunch. Food was just OK. But the cray fish was the smallest i have ever seen (I don't even think it was legal catching size) Expensive compared to other pub lunches of similar style and quality.

NYE had gestapo staff and arrogant, rude management....would never go there again even if you paid me. This is not a cool place at all.

  • 3/5 Sarah L. 2 years ago on Google
Nice venue, big and open space, good drinks and food menu. I felt the food was quite average, cold chips, white 'wonder bread' style bread with the $23 chicken sandwich, and someone on our table had a whole broccoli head in her salad (not chopped at all). Our table pre-ordered the day before as we were a large table, but even still our food all came out at different times and with big gaps between first and last meal arriving. Despite being at the table for a few hours I was never offered a second drink, didn't really feel like it was table service.

Pauline and Jasmine both were AMAZING. they helped me get sausages rolls and were super kind with all my questions, with service and everything. Wouldn’t be surprised if they were both managers at the business, amazing kind girls they deserve some recognition!!!!

First time in market grounds! Pretty good atmosphere, bar staff and bouncers were all pleasant to talk to. Plenty of staff behind the bar's so not waiting long time to get served. The food was not bad, and the selection of drinks was okay. I'd recommend Market Grounds if you haven't been before, definitely worth a visit. Scott.

Admittedly I visited this place on a quiet Saturday afternoon. Atmosphere of that time was laid back and casual. Seemed a great place for groups of Females to dress up and head out for drinks with the Girls, before going out after to Northridge or Other Perth City 🌆 Night Life Venues.

Just wanted to give a 5 star review to our waiter CLAY. We recently visited for a Margarita sip session and Clay was our waiter. He was friendly and super efficient on the day, making sure our drinks and food were kept flowing. Thankyou Clay for the 5 star service!

Went here for a bottomless lunch and feel a little disappointed as I did not get my moneys worth ($70pp). It was a set menu with bottomless drinks and the service was so slow we couldn’t drink much and they kept forgetting our order. The food was pretty basic so definitely not worth it :(

  • 4/5 Paul W. 2 years ago on Google
We booked a long lunch for two $69 per head. I'm giving the whole experience 4 stars out of 5. The starters all good except, not Turkish bread but stale bread, beetroot humour just blitzed beetroot, the pork croquettes and Italian cheese good. The mains 5 out of 5 really great food. Desserts we didn't stay for, needed to get home to watch the ladies final. Overall very good value for money and a great venue. Give me some fresh bread and a beetroot houmus with some chickpeas and tahini and I'd give this a 5 out of 5.

Went to the bottomless brunch yesterday having not being to one before I had reservations on "bottom less" time and service. I was so pleasantly surprised on the service food and drinks!! It was amazing highly recommend and will be back. Our waitress was Maria and she was absolutely wonderful!!! She was very busy and worked really hard I hope the company knows how great she is her service was outstanding and made the whole day spectacular

Amazing hospitality. Market grounds looked after a large group of my friends on a Monday night. The venue was clean, the food was great and the bar staff were fantastic. Bartender 'Sam' was incredibly welcoming, funny and above else, professional. 11/10 would go again.

Visited on our first night in Perth - what a great venue... Great tunes, great atmosphere and food to die for - we had the belly pork (great cracking and delicious potatoes) and the scotch fillet - a perfect medium steak (large portion, loads of fries). Great beer selection to boot - could not fault it. We will be back!!!
