The restaurant environment and staff were both so nice. Fantastic service. However, I am quite disappointed about the foods we ordered. Veal was so dry. The duck dish tasted like from can. Below value.

Ive had some great dinners here before covid so expectations were high but last night was a train wreck. It’s all changed and not for the better. Used to be a silver service top wine bar come restaurant. Waitress sets the table after we’ve sat down and places the spoon and fork by handling the part that goes in your mouth. Yuk. Water glasses but no water, had to ask. Music was like a night club, air con freezing. Food came out so fast we had an entree ( which was fine) and main in less than 20 minutes. Not relaxing, no time to talk. Main (pasta) was ordinary, especially the green gnocchi that was floury and bland. Beer served in a water glass. Couldnt leave fast enough. No wonder it was half full on a Saturday night. Train your staff.

Had my birthday dinner here with my friends and I brought my own cake to celebrate with my friends but the staff said that they are going to charge us $5 per head to eat my own cake at their restaurant. They also offered olives and bread and made it seem like it was complimentary. We only found out afterwards that it was $24 for just 2 bowls of bread and olives. Next time they should refer to the menu and explain the price before offering guests. Also the food is far too overpriced for the quantity. I ordered the gnocchi and they gave me 6 pieces for $30. Birthday=ruined.

I came again. Still so good. Really a nice place to br. The chef is French The cook is Korean. Fantastic Cuisine. Very nice service. Excellent food. What I appreciated is the simplicity not to complex and well balanced. Good choice of wines

While this restaurant is called a wine bar, for us it was the food that was the standout feature. Efficient and knowledgeable staff, good service with an interesting menu. The food was great, well presented and served. We agreed that this was one of the best meals and dining experiences we have had for a while.

Great environments. Definitely a place to go for a drink. However, there are a lot of room of improvement for the food. Ordered oysters, fried potatoes, pumpkin risotto and duck breast. Oyster was 3/10, fried potatoes 7/10, pumpkin risotto 1/10 (too salty to a point where it’s inedible), duck breast 5.5/10. Overall, great venue to have a drink but not dinner.

came here for a nye’s dinner, we found the staff super lovely and friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming as well. we ordered our food and didn’t have to wait too long for the dishes to come out the seeded crackers and bean dip were the favourite of the night, and we found the cod not bad too! however, the oysters and burrata fell short, and the lamb was subpar as well. a shame, but will visit again for a drink or 2 :-)

The ambience was cosy which we really loved , the downfall is the food it was bland didn’t have much flavour. Overly pricey for the food they served. Customer service was good the waitress kept checking on us and was friendly.

Our food and cocktails were lovely, service was great! The crunchy potatoes we ordered as a side were forgotten and came later than our main which wouldn’t have been an issue really except they were not worth the wait. They were just boring! Really needed some seasoning etc and since the rest of the meal was so great, they were pretty disappointing. Dessert menu was pretty limited so we opted for somewhere else for dessert. Would come back though :)

I had been there the previous week and enjoyed it so I returned with : guests around 5-30 pm It was practically empty but the music was overwhelming - when I requested to turn the music down a little the response was, “They couldn’t it was controlled downstairs and set Thereafter the service level disappeared, to be honest we should have just left As the place filled up the music appeared even louder and the service even poorer Will I go back ? Never again The attitude and loud music completely destroyed a what would have been night

I was expecting more technique or wow factor from the menu. We chose the chef menu and it was pretty basic for the price. Good flavour but nothing special.

First time visiting Shadow and I was not disappointed! I love the ambience of the dim lighting. It was exactly what I was after for an intimate dinner. I didn't take photos of the food because honestly we wolfed it down! The gnocchi, fried potatoes and market fish (snapper) were all exceptional. And nothing better than finishing it off with a beautiful dessert - pear tarte tain. Extensive wine list and small cocktail menu - could have more cocktails but it's all about the wine here! Loved it, hope to return very soon!

Atmosphere was great, lovely service, the food was amazing. So nice and fresh. I love mushroom arancini. The cheese on top was amazing.would love to go back.

Incredible experience. Loved everything. Excellent wine recommendation, duck was amazing and the filet mignon didnt even need the knife but the carpaccio was stand out for me. Would absolutely recommend.

A group of 5 of us had an excellent Xmas lunch here. Food was delicious with generous portions, service friendly and efficient (and dealt promptly with an initial mix-up), and all-in-all made for a lovely Xmas day. By the time we got to the end of the multiple courses I felt like someone needed to roll me home. Everything was good, but the king-prawns were likely the table's favourite. Will definitely be back.

We had dined here multiple times previously and been very impressed, but the dinner last night was very disappointing. Dirty toilets, fibrous fennel, poor service and waited over an hour for our mains. Flavours of the pork and prawn dishes weren't up to scratch and the wine recommendation was mediocre. The manager felt bad about it and tried to make amends by comping our entrees which was appreciated and hence an extra star. Sadly, I doubt we will return.

Beautiful wine, delicious food and service so amazing it’s rare. The amazing Billy is always waiting with a recommendation to suit whatever my palate is searching for. Will definitely be back time and time again.

We had an outstanding experience at Shadow Wine Bar. The food, service and ambience was faultless. Moody and airy with well spaced tables gives a sense of privacy. Impressive wine list with some interesting but well matched inclusions. The crispy potatoes are a must!

Stepping into this wine bar I felt so welcomed, the team were so bubbly and incredibly knowledgeable. The domaine grenache red wine recommended was amazing! Food highlight for me was the chargrilled octopus and kingfish ceviche. They also had blue cheese macaron which we had to order for the novelty haha. I'll definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu! Thanks Shadow Wine Bar team!

Had diner her with my best friend, great food, excellent service were had by all. The decor is chic & the space is beautiful. Great wine list, not overpriced. We both had a fabulous night out. Will definitely be back

Food was awesome came out fast, hot and delicious. Service staff were very friendly and great with making recommendations for our order. Service started out really efficient but towards the end of the night we needed to try and grab their attention to order drinks or to replenish the water. Would have understood if restaurant was super busy but it was the end of the night and only a few of us left . Other then that lil hiccup the experience as a whole was awesome, we had delicious food, Service was super friendly and atmosphere and architecture was amazing .

The wonderful atmosphere of this gorgeous little wine bar is captivating, after an evening tucked into the back booth talking over a bottle of white, I am not sure how i will ever enjoy any other wine bar... I do look forward to returning very soon to discover if the dishes that i witnessed leaving the kitchens are as delectable as they appeared.

Always a great experience here. Food is creative and delicious. The mood and atmosphere is perfect for catching up with friends and being able to actually talk to them without competing against excessively loud music and room acoustics. Service is exceptional. Fantastic wines

We are regular diners at Shadow because it ticks all the boxes for us. Lovely ambience, attentive staff, terrific food and fantastic wine list. We have never been disappointed and will return soon! I just read some other highly critical reviews which are completely out of wack with reality. No idea what was going on there but you should ignore them.

Came here for lunch with a friend and was beyond impressed. Beautiful ambience and beautiful food. Will definitely return.

We brought some friends this time. They were impressed. To Rachael for great help with the wines and Nate for the best table service we thank you. Overall Shadow winebar was a fantastic place to celebrate any occasion. My favourite was the gnocchi and duck dish. Octopus was very chewy and can’t really bite easily. Service wise I guess it can be improved better. The man handling our table was great. But I understand that sometimes other waitstaff will serve us to cover, which there was no consistency. Even if it’s not your section, I guess consistency is very important. We will definitely come back!

Good place to spend time with friends, food are nice but fish smell so strong. I love the wine too. Good service and staff friendly.
