We
have
been
going
to
the
Belmont
Tavern
over
the
years
for
lunch
and
called
in
today.
The
Tavern
appears
to
have
had
a
facelift
with
new
carpet
and
menu
which
reflects
the
increased
prices
for
the
makeover.
The
previous
menu
has
been
replaced
by
a
much
more
trimmed
version
and
I
must
say
the
food
was
disappointing.
I
had
the
beef
schnitzel
and
the
bread
crumbs
were
a
little
burnt
giving
it
a
hard
texture
and
the
meat
was
quite
tough,
I
swapped
out
the
potato
salad
it
normally
comes
with
for
chips,
these
were
near
cold
and
tasted
like
the
had
been
warned
up.
There
were
two
gherkins
and
some
shredded
sauerkraut
on
the
plate.
One
of
our
friends
had
fish
and
chips
which
came
with
a
Kale
salad
which
was
quite
bitter
and
with
Grapefruit
and
Orange
segment
(non
existent).
Grapefruit
is
or
can
be
dangerous
to
those
on
blood
pressure
medication
and
should
not
really
be
included
on
a
Seniors
menu.
The
meal
took
a
little
while
to
arrive,
the
service
was
good
as
usual.
This
could
be
just
our
experience
on
the
day
but,
I
don't
think
we
will
be
going
back.
