It can't get any better! Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere, perfect steak, and tea and apple crumble which came from heaven! So professional and so attentive to details! For example, ceramic cups for tea were hot to keep your tea hot! And ice cream on hot apple crumble sounds so celestial!

Second time here for Xmas in July. I was disappointed to see a change. We no longer get a Xmas menu, like we did when we last came. Instead you are handed the bog standard menu and have to pick from there. That said. The food was delicious. If a little lukewarm. Service was spot on. Great job.

Nice Irish bar. Guinness is so good. I tried Wednesday special steak $20. It was little over-cooked but other things were good. Happy hours are 5to6pm. You can have a Guinness $9. Really good deal.

I have a few Irish friends and have been to a fair few places to have Irish food ( and a beer ) with them, this is easily the best, the half and half curry is amazing and the black and white pudding is perfect. Apparently on Sunday that do one of the best roasts you will ever have They have a great variety of beer and whiskey available to suit anyone's taste The bartenders dish up some pretty good banter and are often moving around the tables to have a chat The seats are quite comfortable and give a pleasant seating position

Service staff were welcoming and friendly. Nice quaintly small pup. Good menu choices and quick service. Meals were all nice and tasty. Chicken Caesar Salad was very well presented the Beef & Guinness Pie was on the dry side. Parking is available but a small car park there is street parking available as well. No disabled parking from what I can see. Access ok for mobility impaired but book downstairs tables.

Went on a busy Sunday afternoon so is not surprising they'd disappointingly run out of Roast Pork (crackling) and ice cream that was advertised, came with dessert. The stuffing was different as it was mixed with minced meat and tasted more like sausage with herbs and spices. None-the-less the stuffing was nice and I would've liked more. The roast lamb was nice and assorted veges were cooked well with broccoli half cooked and therefore crunchy, which is just how I like them. The gravy could've been a bit more generous and had a bit more flavour but was good texture. The Bannoffee I had was different as the colour of the caramel resembled chocolate and I'd therefore braced myself for disappointment but was pleasantly surprised it didn't taste like chocolate. My companions had the Ultimate roast (four meats) but cos of no pork, doubled up on lamb. Their Yorkshire Pud (Irish?) was apparently yum and desserts Rhubarb & Apple Crumble was nothing to write home to mum about. The Bread & Butter pudding one of my companions had was a bit runny and tasted more like egg custard. The lack of ice-cream was made up by an extra dollop of whipped cream so with the desserts they had would've been better had the cream been from the bottle and not whipped. Overall it was a nice meal, nice atmosphere that is family friendly and reasonable price. I only gave 3 stars for food cos of the no pork and no ice-cream.

We were able to book a table last minute for fathers Day. What a fantastic tavern, love the decore. The staff are brilliant and exceed in their customer service. The meals are very generous portions and delicious. We will definitely be visiting again.

Fennel and pork sausage rolls were excellent. Guinness is always good here. I go for the Guinness and the food is a bonus. Cheers

All time favourite pub. The food is awesome (liver and bacon rocks!), staff are friendly and lovely, brilliant service, great menu, best atmosphere and decor ( like Egon, Norway, but Irish! ), great location. Thanks J.B. O'Reilly's.

If you happen to be in West Leedy on Wednesday night, treat yourself and head to the local Irish pub, JBs. Their $20 steak night is an unbeatable deal - the steak is perfectly cooked and free of any unwanted fat. It's served with crispy chips and a refreshing salad. The ambience and atmosphere of JBs will transport you to the heart of Galway, with the Irish spirit alive and well. The friendly staff always greet you with a smile. Don't miss out on this amazing dining experience. #jboreillysteaknight #westleedervillepub #perthirishpub

One of the best Irish pubs in Perth! Tasty food, lovely staff and a nice cosy feel. Sunday Roast is a must. Fish and chips and bangers and mash are also sensational. Ohhh and an amazing pint of Guinness.

Had a good experience. Great authentic Irish bar that stays loyal to its roots. Food was good and service excellent with good selection on tap. Been several times over the years and service has always been good. Probably could do with a bit of a refresh but doesn’t detract.

Since covid re-opening place gone backwards, no more quality draught, single fin and mountain goat gone for superdry and dingo lager, it's terrible. Menu same old same old overpriced fare. Nothing modern, nothing share. Chefs must be bored churning out the same rubbish day after day. Change the food menu!!! Sad the staff prior to covid have changed as has the direction of management.

Very small place and was hard for us to get a table. Staff were very quick to serve and nice too but seemed to always be in a rush. Can’t go wrong with their specials, we went on Thursday for $20 steak night with a drink!

I organised a lunch for 7 retired blokes at JB O'Reilly's Pub on St Pat's day, but couldn't book. So turned up just before lunch and surprised JB's was able to put tables together for us in 10 minutes, despite how busy they were. The service was excellent and all the guys were happy with their choices from the St Pat's Day menu. Great atmosphere and JB's supplied Guinness top hats and green glasses + decorated tables. Well done by JB's on a busy lunch - worked hard for the 5 stars.

Whats not to like about J.B. O'Reillys other than the car park. Always plenty of staff to keep the Guinness/Kilkenny flowing and very good Irish Fayre. Samantha had the lambs liver and thoroughly enjoyed it and for me it had to be the all day Irish Breakfast with Black and White pudding. $45 for the two and we were full......In some places you wouldnt even get entrees for that price.

Made sure to check out this Irish pub before leaving Perth. Close enough for me and the wife to walk for dinner. Food was outstanding, I had the club, the wife had the curry chicken and chips. They where both incredible, some of the best food we have had in Perth yet. Prices and service where both good, place was full of people and the Atmosphere was chill. If I had a complaint it would be that there was no Irish music playing. But I am sure I was just not there at the right time. The bread pudding was absolutely amazing!! Would def return to this establishment! ☘️

  • 5/5 Jason L. 2 years ago on Google
Food was great, we really enjoyed it. We had the beef burger, steak sandwich and caesar salad. My opinion of the beer selection was average as they only offer stouts and lagers from what I could see. They should introduce some hazy ipa, if not on tap then at least in the fridge. Not sure how well it would sell though being an Irish pub. All in all, had a great experience and will definitely be going back again.

Visited to have a bar meal as we have done dozens of times, because of the change in ownership we checked the website, no change in what we wanted, so we travelled to have a evening special. Arrived, we are told that the meal we wanted was no longer available, no explanation, the specials are on a board over there! We did not want either. No apology , no explanation, take it or leave it. We left. There is new bar staff, new meals, new prices! The friendly atmosphere has gone, all old reviews are now history.

Came here for the ultimate Sunday roast and it was absolutely terrible. Chicken skin was white and soft, appeared boiled (It's called a Sunday roast?) The lamb, pork and beef were tough and dry, thoroughly beyond well done. The pumpkin was raw, not even 50% cooked. Yorkshire pudding was wet, dense and doughy. Very disappointed. Nice bar still though. Skip the roast. Go to Fibber McGee's instead to avoid disappointment

  • 5/5 Bill Q. 1 year ago on Google
Really friendly staff and a great variety of Irish fare and your more standard pub, bistro, and restaurant food. The venue itself is a feast for the eyes - the kind of place that takes you ages to get from the front door to the bar as you drink in all the memorabilia and whatnot on the walls and ceiling. A grand night out.

This is one of the best Irish pubs in Perth! And once again it did not disappointment. Fabulous atmosphere, parking, a separate restaurant area, good food.... take your favourite company there for a memorable experience. A pleasureable pub to return to.

Had the salmon special. Excellent and well priced. Came with seasoned wedges and mescalun salad with watermelon cucumber and pomegranate. With balsamic dressing. One of the best pub meals I've had in ages. Very impressed. Helpful friendly staff good beer and wine selection. My 2 friends had the lamb rack they too were impressed. Well done JB'S I'll be back

Amazing food. The salads were large and dressings fantastic. Sausage and the Beef pie were great - but unnecessary to have so much liquid pea and gravy - just have mushy peas. Service was wonderful. Lovely coffee.

Found this place by googling. Decided to give it a shot on the reviews and wow. From the moment you walked in you were greeted with a friendly smile and made to feel welcome. Great selection of food. Atmosphere was cozy yet even with most tables full you could talk normally. Had the Osso bucco and rabbit with gnocchi. Both dishes were fantastic.

Such a lovely atmosphere here. Always great customer service from the staff. Lovely to hear their walks of life as alot of them are backpackers which is awesome! and to know the pub owners hire fresh of the boat Irish people 😂 so they know what their talking about Irish culture wise. Other country people aswell, its cool to hear their stories! Food is super delicious and they will never do a Guinness wrong. True Irish pub and a superb place in general. So many cool little collectibles and artifacts around the place. I love comming here and never leave unsatisfied. Thank you J.B O'Reilly's. Keep satisfying the people of Perth city!
