Came with family for dinner and the food and service was top notch. We enjoyed the specials lamb shank and Carlisle platter, it was delicious and well presented. Highly recommend the food and daily specials, also the garden bar has a huge screen. Will definitely be coming here next time, it’s our favourite place for food.

Fabulous venue with friendly and accommodating staff, great food and drinks! Love this local gem! Held our engagement party here and we all had a fabulous time - bonus, incredibly affordable! Platters were practically inhaled by our guests and we were able to bring in our own cake. I’m a gin fan, and haven’t been disappointed with what I’ve tried so far and a great variety of beer on tap. Have visited twice with our dog too now - fantastic to be able to settle down for a casual drink or celebrate a party with the pupper in the front bar!

Our party of four went to the Carlisle Hotel for lunch today, all with high expectations and upon arrival were happy to note the very clean and pleasant decor. Unfortunately things took a downward turn from there. The meals were all ordered at the same time and as per the spiel provided by the Hotel should have all been served together. After quite a wait two of the meals arrived, fish and chips and duck and prawn stir fry. Some of the fish was undercooked and the stir fry was far too spicy, possibly with chili. After a while the heat became overwhelming and consequently some of the meal remained uneaten. After a further twenty minutes the third meal, beef salad, arrived and it proved to be inedible, everything on the plate completely overwhelmed by chili and so the greater part of the dish was left uneaten. Forty five minutes after the first two meals were served the fourth meal arrived, roast beef, which was fine. Our complaints and feedback were passed on to the manager as we left and she advised that there was nothing she could do except say sorry and advise the cook. She also said that when we ordered we should have been advised about the inordinate amount of chili that would be served in the dishes and we definitley weren't. As a result of our very bad experience we will never eat at the Carlisle Hotel again and we will never recommend it to anyone as a dining destination.

My partner and me ordered both rump & chip special for dinner one was med rare and the other was med. My partner’s steak was nice thick and well cooked(Med rare) But my steak was so thin and it was totally well done. Better used similar portion size for same table. I was so disapointed and of course well done steak was not delicious. I dont think I come back here again.

doesn't have an after hours call, my partner arrive at 9:30pm reception, restaurant and bar is all close no one can help him to check in, there is no safe box outside to get the keys (safe box is inside the reception which is the door is lock). room doesn't have wifi and because the rooms are right next to pub and train track it so noisy couldn't sleep properly

Popped in to the Carlisle for lunch with my Dad today and enjoyed an absolutely delicious Scotch Fillet, cooked to perfection, served with chips, pepper sauce and a salad for the bargain price of $25 with a pint on tap for $5, as part of their Wednesday steak special. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend you check it out. Will be back again. 😎

Hidden GEM! We've recently had the opportunity to dine at The Carlisle Hotel & Distillery. Great experience! The staff were attentive, welcoming and provided wonderful service. From all accounts, Chef Amar wonderfully runs the kitchen team churning out some amazing food. While the family tried the various meaty favourites and were delighted, being Vegan I was very pleased to find the Carlisle had a specific Vegan menu. While I've tried and enjoyed all the items on the Vegan menu, my absolute favourite is Chef Amar's Ozi Jhaal Muri Salad. An absolute must try! Great to have as a meal or to share among friends as a side. :) Portion sizes are generous, pricing attractive - all in all great value meals! They have a lovely collection of their own Gins too. I'm particularly partial to the Berry flavoured one :)

Andrew and the team provided outstanding quality and service. Our team went there twice during the tournament. They keep the kitchen open so we could have dinner.

Tried the pork belly bites and the chicken parmi and also a simple fire engine. The pork belly was soo good and my family says their other meals were good too but the parmi was not bad but like average but then again im not a chef I couldn't make it better myself 😂 And the fire engine here so fancy even came with two slices of lemon haha

Ordered a vegetable stir fry and was very disappointed to say the least. It’s was frozen veg mix, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans n carrot rounds cooked in a gravy sauce with thick flat noodles. There was nothing stir fried about it 🥲

Very disappointed Roast turkey was on the board and so we ordered with high expectations. What came out bore no resemblance to a roast. Turkey roll with tepid frozen vegetables. We will not be back !

Foods good, beers cold. Friendly service. Took exactly fourteen minutes for our food to arrive. We ordered the Djoorolup steak sandwich to try out their submission for the WA’s Best Steak Sandwich Awards. It was great. We couldn’t fault it - even though I hate rocket, I really enjoyed everything together. The Turkish bread was light and fluffy, not too thick. The filling was perfect. I tried a piece of the steak on its own and even that was a perfect bite. The flavours used were delicious. Don’t be tempted to start with the chips, even though they’re great. This sandwich is a mammoth and will leave you very full and satisfied.

The Carlisle Hotel catered to our staff Christmas party and it completely exceeded my expectations. Everyone was blown away by the elegant experience, from the decor to the delicious food, to the helpful staff and OMG the fruit flavoured vodkas from the distillery!!! I did not expect this from a suburban pub. All Class! I met the chef and he used to cater for Beyonce's tour and parties, no wonder the finger food was the best I've ever had at a function in Perth. This place has transformed under the new owner.

Went for a casual meal with parents, disappointed to say the food was pretty terrible. Meat was really chewy in curry and burger, thai curry sauce was watery, and taste/texture in general was terrible. For the price paid, it was very poor quality food and ingredients. Gave feedback to the waiter who just said OK they'll let the chef know. Staff were friendly otherwise, I don't think I've ever left a bad review for food, but unfortunately, this was a very below average meal and response.

The meals in the restaurant are tasty , fabulous and constantly changing. Amar the Chef is truly Next Level and always coming up with new dishes to add to the menu. If you want to impress your friends take them for a feed at the Carlisle

Ridiculous price of pint alcoholic ginger beer $16:50, paying more than you pay in Northbridge. Too much ice added to cocktails meaning not much mixer used. Food is good

Had a team meeting here this week. It's a surprisingly big venue that allows for a massive TV screen for watching events in one area, a great bar and brewery set up that connects to a meals area, and then out the back on the night we went, a public bar set up with karaoke on tap :-) Staff were friendly and attentive and drinks orders and food were delivered to the table quickly. Food was excellent and service was great. We had a group of about 20 and the kitchen managed to get all meals out to us pretty close together which was impressive. Had a good Parma (though 'parmi' over here) which was a decent size and I liked the triple cheese variation. Others had lamb shanks which looked huge and were apparently delicious. One of the tasting plates that came out had lamb and calamari and all sorts of stuff on it and was a perfect pre meal. Well worth a visit Well worth a visit

We held a birthday party for a friend, at the Carlisle this evening. The food was a special menu prepared by Chef Amar and his team. The authentic Indian menu was outstanding in every way. In addition, the service from Angie and her team was first class. Compliments to Chef Amar, Angie, and the team at the Carlisle. 5*

The lady in charge was amazing! Nothing was too much trouble. The food was good (the asian style fish and chips was a great take on run of the mill fish and chips) and the gin was delicious. They have done a great job on what use to be a pretty ordinary pub! Congrats!

Our second visit to the Carlisle, the beef burger was nice but the chicken burger my wife had was very ordinary at best. The chicken schnitzel was overcooked and lacked any seasoning at all to the point of being tasteless. At $25 we felt a little ripped off. What more can I say!

We had fish and chips off the lunch specials $15 was money well spent tempura fish with chips hit the spot. Relaxed vibe with Tab next door if the company your with gets boring 😅

The food is absolutely delicious. The Wednesday night Steak night is just perfect - great portion and great value at $20. However, customer service has to be important as well. The mobile website says that the customer has a choice of chips and salad or mash and vegies. However, the staff have been instructed to only offer chips and salad. On 3 of the past 6 occasions I had to show the website page and the Manager agreed to the change. However, on my last visit the bar staff member was particularly rude, before the Manager allowed the change. I then wrote an email to the Carlisle and was told a.) the website is wrong and the staff member is right and b.) there must be an issue with my cookie cache because this was removed 8 months ago. Obviously the website can't be 'wrong' and I had to screen shot step by step how I got the menu on my mobile to which the person can now see that it is up for all to say and will get IT to remove. This is a rather long story but what happened to good old fashioned customer service? The Carlisle replier could have just said "I am sorry for the inconvenience and I apologize that our policy and what is seen on the website do not match. In any instance you should not have been treated with disrespect and she should have called a Manager. To stop any confusion we will have the website modified by IT so that it is just chips and salad. It was so good of you to provide the feedback and hope you come back soon'. Instead I was told the bar staff was right and my cookie cache is out of date. Just poor service. I just wish places would remember customer service is number 1.

As I am not into steak or burgers, this menu had 1 choice i fancied at lunch. Dipping tasting plate. It was nice however the amount of bread was inadequate. And cheese seemed to be cut from a block of the foil wrapped stuff from a shelf. Nice setting nice staff gets an extra star

Visited today for lunch...service terrific...Kylie couldn't do enough...nothing was too much trouble. Sat in the beer garden weather was good and it was peaceful. Food okky...pub food.....very clean.

I went to your Melbourne Cup lunch last year 2021 and the food was terrific, I bragged to my friends how great it was. This year 2022 was very disappointing, I felt embarrassed in front of my friends and sad to say that the food was rubbish. The prawn cocktail tasted like frozen prawns (all 3 of them) and your menu choice was sadly lacking - not to mention the deserts. Very unhappy and will be looking elsewhere for next year. On a positive note your regular food is normally enjoyable.

I definately recommend this venue as the food is very good and reasonably priced. The drinks also are not overpriced and a pint of beer on special will set you back only $7. The staff are friendly and attentive.

Finally a chef who has a medium steak on point! Amazing Cooked to perfection. The gumbo was well worth the money. Great atmosphere Give it a go

Staff were good. Fantastic new renovation .. modern and fresh. Food was very good. Sister said steak sandwich was one of the best she had and I had a pretty good nachos. Neither of us could finish our meal. Will be back.

As a pub, it's good. Restraunt side is below average. We moved close by and have visited 4 times now, every time we have had an issue with at least one meal, ordered a T-Bone Surf n Turf, was cooked good, but it had a spicy marinade to it, this was not in the description and didn't match the garlic sauce, this was annoying but nothing major. We ordered the lobster, was half of a cray and over cooked and quite small. We have had a few other meals and nothing has been a stand-out, Except the steak sandwich, that was great. Service is decent and staff are friendly.
