We had been really looking forward to trying this place and was shocked at the quality of the food. For the prices they were charging we had been expecting well prepared authentic dishes. The chefs special was a steak with fried frozen store chips. Potato mash wasn't done properly. The cheese plate looked cheap. For a resturant that is charging main dishes at $40 mark the expected quality was not there. Reading some of the other reviews something seemed slightly off and a few people commented on the way food was cooked. I thought the photos still looked nice and it was worth a chance. Unfortunately it was not for me. Two things that was good, the service was excellent and the steak was cooked well.

The service was excellent and we couldn’t fault it as they were friendly and approachable. Food was a bit of a hit and miss. Duck confit was dry and bland, especially the mash that went with it - it was tasteless and super dry that I could not enjoy. Considering it was over $40 it was disappointing. We did not enjoy the Terrine entree but the cheese soufflé was very tasty. The Creme Brûlée was excellent and a highlight of our meal.

Well french-presented restaurant. We had a snail and soufflé for entree. Both good flavour, soufflé served with ratatouille was very light and delicious. For main fish of the day which was red emperor with cream sauce and fresh cooked peas. Such a fresh and light flavour is absolutely amazing. Also another main was angus beef fillet, this is one of my best of best steak in Perth. Cooked perfectly moreover under the steak there’s pan fried potato with cream, cheese and herb sauce they match so well - I wish to come every my birthday :) you don’t regret to come here !

This place left us with mixed vibes. They have kept the place absolutely stunning and its a treat to be inside this place . Simple and elegant . We went after work so were carrying laptop bags :) well as we walked in, we definitely got the once over from the hostess. Lets call it ,after long days work it was my hallucination. We were deep in conversation and didn't want the hassle of ordering from the menu and hence ordered the set menu. Aaa..nd then got "another look" Round 1. Ting ting Comes a massive bowl of French Onion Soup. I believe it came straight from the oven or something the bowl was a bit funky dirty could be the boiling soup falling and setting on it, would have been good if it came just cleaned up. Soup was absolutely yum and portions was massive. So kinda filled us up quiet well. Round 2 Ting ting Mains was black Angus and chips . Chips yes chips common and that too came a bit undercooked (Not All) . The steak was requested to be done as medium rare. Outside looked medium but as you cut in ,it was medium to well done. Now that was a bummer but hey did it taste good.. absolutely the steak tasted yum. Round 3 Dessert- Floating Meringue Hands down perfect joy. Absolutely a perfect party finisher. As we were to make the payment the host did ask about the meal and we did share the above and they were quiet apologetic and didn't charge for the champagne.. it was a nice gesture of acknowledging the concern and that leaves a good vibe.

Excellent on every level. It was my wife’s birthday dinner and she (& I) love French cuisine - couldn’t have been happier. The owner was so accomodating, fitting us into a busy booking schedule too. Thank you very much! It was almost like being in Paris.

I had a really fantastic time here. The resteraunt serves wonderful food in an unpretentious atmosphere with an authentic French ambiance. If you are looking for a dining experience this is not the place, but if you want great food and service you must try.

The food was really good. We had the snails as entrée and then had the boeuf bourguignon and the canard confit as mains. Both mains were succulent and surprisingly generously portionned. Both the Bordeaux and the Luberon red wine you can get by the glass are amazing. Great value for money at 13$ a glass. The two young floor staff members were friendly. This could have been a 5 star review, but firstly we felt the service was a bit below what we would have expected from a place with this quality of table set up and food. No one ever check on our table, while we were eating, making sure everything was ok, as it is normally customary. Secondly, when asking about the cheese selection, it seemed that only one out of the 4 was a French cheese (a camembert), which is such a pity. Furthermore when ordered, it didn't even seem to be a camembert... It tasted good, so not a big issue, but when asked while paying, the waiter wasn't sure either what it was. We still very much enjoyed our evening, kudos to the kitchen, we felt like we we're back home in France!

We came here for our birthday dinner. Excellent service, delicious foods and great atmosphere!! This is definitely our favorite restaurant and also the best French restaurant in Perth.

Quite nice but underwhelming. Faultless and friendly staff. Beef fillet cooked to perfection (my wife insists on medium well, which they managed without destroying it). Creme brulee was very good but brulee cold. Disappointments: Confit duck, mash had pre-prepared/reheated flavour you would expect from a pub. Icecream (accompanying creme brulee), custard (accompanying ile flottante) was not home made but from a (quality) grocery tub. Nothing to be ashamed of, but given reputation and price I was expecting something more special.

Took a friend for his birthday. Did an online booking and left comments that coming for a birthday dinner. Also called to informed and confirmed. His dessert cake but no wishes were written or a candle was put on - a bit disappointed. Food was good though. Ambience was nice and quite. French music in the background. Great service.

Definitely a go to winter venue in Perth. There is now the new wine bar opposite as well as Ellington a few doors down to pair with dinner, the Beaufort and Brisbane corner is coming alive again. Thank you for good service and a great bottle of Shiraz !

3* Michelin quality food. Best French in Australia. P'tite Ardoise Bistro in Perth. Best French in Australia in my opinion. 9 snails served uniquely with a tomato based sauce. Devine. Confit duck + breast, + superb vegetables. Steak at its best. Dessert fabulous as well, soft meringue & choc moose. I would go back tonight, but fully booked.

Had a dinner in the dark experience with my wife. Unique and unusual experience. Friendly staff. Food was delicious as you'd expect with French cuisine but dont expect large servings. I also thought it was rather pricey for what you got and you still had to buy drinks on top. This is a once only for me.

Went for my birthday, couldn't fault it, great food and service. Bought me a special dessert and sang me happy birthday. Been to lots of French restaurants but this was the best.

Amazing atmosphere! Best cocktails ever!! And the steak made me want to order another serve if I wasn’t so full from the salad and quac and chips. Will be back for sure.

It really saddens me to write this since I’ve recommended P’tite Ardoise Bistro many times to friends and family over the years for the lovely food and service. It has been about 4years since I was there last. But the service has gone downhill. I am now STILL waiting for my refund from a cancelled Bastille Day event over two months later, after being assured it would be done a couple of times now by Jodie. Reminding a business about a refund over and over again via text and email is an awful feeling. Even worse is to be $300 out of pocket for an event that never went ahead.

We had a great anniversary dinner here. But the dessert wasn’t good enough as I expected.

The male waiter told my dad to 'shut up' under his breath when he asked for bread. We were so shocked we completely lost our appetite. It put a huge dampener on my mothers birthday dinner. Additionally we called up during the day to push our booking back 30mins which they happily agreed, however when we arrived the waitress was oblivious to this change and told us off for being late...it is clear the staff are in need to some training around communication.

Had the duck. Lovely sauce, very well cooked. Bit small though. Dessert was really good too. Good atmosphere. Actually wouldn't take much effort to get me to 5 stars.
