An absolutely stunning wedding venue! As a local wedding photographer I love returning here for weddings. Matthew and the team are amazing and will ensure you have the wedding of your dreams!

Great service, WOEFUL chef. We came here recently for our anniversary, a booking made over a month ago. I advised in my booking 5 weeks ago that it was our anniversary and that we wanted a seafood only menu for one of the diners. When we arrived, the venue was empty at 7:30 on a Friday night in the city (sadly this makes sense to me now). They were playing an awful soundtrack from the 90s, that sounded like it was playing from a half broken radio. Whilst I don’t really judge this type of thing, it definitely ruined the atmosphere in the totally empty restaurant. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive, thank you to them for a lovely night. That said, in short, the food was average at the best of times, and at the worst, made you wonder what kind of chef is being paid to serve up this menu. I was absolutely shocked and appalled at my first course which, as a non meat eater, ended up as literally vegetables in boiled broth. The waitress even stated when we first arrived “the chef is still working out what to serve ‘you’ for the first course”. Had I not booked 5 weeks before I may not have been disappointed by the literal frozen corn and peas served in seaweed broth with 3 cherry tomatoes that arrived for me. If I hadn’t have paid $175 for my meal I may not have been so upset. And that disappointment followed through every other course. What a terrible disappointment for such a wonderful venue. Lamont’s - you desperately need a new chef that understands what degustation and FLAVOUR actually means. You also need to understand that catering for people with eating differences means more than boiling some vegetables - if you can’t accommodate them then just say so, don’t make guests pay for your lack of planning ability. In addition, for the price paid, we were disappointed that our anniversary celebration was not acknowledged by the staff in any way at all - a truly crappy experience for the price you charge. I have visited too many restaurants I can count, and even the worst of them made an effort to acknowledge the occasion after it being asked for, and mentioned, on the booking. Sadly, we will never come back here Lamont’s, an absolutely woeful experience. I now totally understand how a mid-city fine-dining restaurant can be empty on what should be a busy Friday night.

Venue and gardens amazing! Service and staff brilliant! Unfortunately the food was a let down.... All food was cold with no seasoning which was very disappointing! Went to the lazy Sunday lunch 16/10/22. Disappointing lunch menu as follows - Tapas was all cold once it arrived to table and really no difference to pub grub. Crayfish was served cold with no seasoning or sause - absolutely tasteless! Roast potatoes cold with no seasoning or flavour. Asparagus served in cold sauce. Gnocchi served cold in cheese sauce. Sauce had corn in it which did nothing for the "Italian" dish. Crepes made ahead of time with chef coming to table to heat sauce on bbq camping stove on trolley - once ready to be served, unfortunately cold as well. Trio of cakes were nice but could of been fresher...I don't think these were made on the premises? Food needs to be served hot and with seasoning...staff didn't even offer cracked salt or pepper and none on tables... Food on this day was cold and lacked any real flavours. 3 star rating given for friendly staff and beautiful venue.

Stunning. What a restaurant and feed. Everything was magnificent, except for one dish. The duck. From previous photos and friends it seems that we may have been served a one off. However, instead of the slice of duck we were given some sort of a 'terrine' I believe. It was full of fat and no good at all. Every other item and dish was magical. I would have to say that the pork was the best, followed by the crab and lamb, both of which were also amazing. Desert, palate cleansers and petite fours also went down a massive treat.

Four of us dined on Tuesday night with the winter warmers $55 3 course menu. The food was delectable starting with amuse bouche Comte cheese and chive tortellini with French onion broth followed by lamb 3 ways featuring celeriac puree, crisp shallots and polenta and for the finale 3 had the maple banana parfait with macadamia praline, fried banana beignet while I opted for the cheeses of the main menu. While the food was incredible the service was even better Daniel was amazing great conversation and attention to detail throughout the whole meal. Highly recommend checking this Georgian manor restaurant out nestled amongst beautiful gardens in the heart of the CBD!

An amazing, well-preserved historic residence, and the perfect location for our daughters wedding. The sampling dinner was incredible; food, drinks, and service were first class! Can't wait!....

We have been working with Matthew and the team for our wedding in December and have had such a pleasant experience - Having chosen to not engage a planner, Matthew has been so helpful and responsive on every occassion - He is an expert! The food was amazing at our tasting and we are glad to have chosen such a wonderful venue for our day.

I was lucky enough to have a work colleague recommend Lamont’s for our wedding as I have never noticed the venue being tucked away by the beautiful greenery. As soon as we viewed the venue we knew it was perfect for us! Matthew and the team were always so accomodating, helpful and are full of experience! The food was the best food we have ever experienced for a wedding. Our wedding was cocktail style and our guests were left very satisfied. Our day overall was left in very good hands and the day/night has no faults at all!

Every time a winner. Food is top grade and the wines are amazing. This is a must visit spot. Their truffle dinners are a must for those who haven't visited. Service is A1.

I recently had my wedding at this amazing venue and to sum it up it was just magical. It truely is a hidden gem in the heart of Perth and I would highly recommend it to any couple who is thinking of having their wedding here. Matthew is so hard working and he does his best to bring your visions to life. The food is amazing and we had lots of compliments from our guests. Let's just say you will not go home hungry! The venue itself is so versatile for both ceremony and reception. The best part is that you don't need to hop in a car and travel for photos (everything is there). The grounds are stunning and it truely feels like you are somewhere else in the world! You will not be disappointed!

Beautiful outdoor function space made more special on a balmy night. Another year on and it is still just as enjoyable, with excellent food and service as always. The staff are always nearby with the food and drinks or to take your glass.

An oasis like eatery in the CBD. Tucked away in the Kings Park end of St George's Tce. Wooden floors & old style kitchen decor. The Angus fillet was tender & juicy. Went well with a chunky loaf of bread. Could not have been more carnivorously satisfying. Have to look to find the oasis amongst the tree of buildings on the terrace.

Excellent food, drinks and the service was outstanding. Daniel you are a credit to the team and made our visit one to remember. Fabulous cocktails and the degustation menu was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Can’t recommend enough, you will not regret a visit here.

I had my wedding here 24/01/2021, what an amazing night so magical, all our guest were blown away with the venue and the food. I cannot recommend this venue enough. Also Matthew is amazing he is prompt with emails, extremely knowledgeable and full of great ideas and advice if needed, after all the dramas having to cancel due to covid last year, it was the best move changing to Lamonts. Thank you!!!!!

We held our wedding at Lamonts Bishop House. It was the most perfectly run day, due to Matthew and the team at Lamonts. We received rave reviews from all of our guests on the exceptional service, extremely tasty food and range of excellent wines on offer. We have nothing but fantastic things to say about this venue and would recommend Lamonts to anyone looking to hold their wedding!

The special dinner we had during their promotion in May was fantastic! 3 mini mains and matching wines for $25pp. They managed to get everything out within 30 minutes, before I had to rush to a meeting! Beautiful surroundings too. No wonder so many people have their weddings here! Addit (December 2019): It's a stunning venue for a wedding! The food was amazing and the staff were so attentive. No wonder there is such a long wait list!

We were very fortunate to be able to celebrate our daughter's wedding on Friday 20 March 2020 at Bishop House...(@ 50 people) given the restrictions we have this week on social gatherings. The venue looked amazing and the staff did a magnificent job making everyone feel welcome and providing excellent food and drinks throughout the evening. The guests enjoyed an amazing array of Vegan foods prepared by the wonderfully creative chef at Lamonts and everyone commented on how tasty each selection was. Thank you to Matt, Jack, Carmen and the friendly staff at Lamonts for helping make our daughter Zia and her husband Michael's special day so memorable. Our family look forward to returning to Lamont's Bishop House to enjoy quality food, beverages and atmosphere in the future..let's hope its sooner than later everyone.

Beautiful venue, poor service. Outside bar was always out of stock, slow service. I went for a Fringe show which was dreadful, it'd be good if venue had curated the show. Probably not good to promote a venue that intends to present itself as 'quite good' thru such poor show. 2 starts as outdoor setting was beautiful.

The food was fabulous. Site very nice. But the marquee was very cold on our side and only 2 heaters. It would have been a better experience if they had closed off the side We were seated on.
