6 stars, favourite place for breakfast and lunch. Staff are friendly and service is fast. Must have visited 50+ times now over the years and loved every meal (esp. the crumpets!). There is often a wait for a table on a Saturday but it is usually no more than 10 minutes for a table for two. Check the specials for something new, and they might have pancakes if you are lucky! 🥞

One of the best pull pork sandwich I ever had! Also, top quality fries. Can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes and pastry.

We went around 10 and it was very busy with people already waiting for a table. But they brought us some donuts while we waited. Which was really nice . When we ordered we were stuck standing in a queue for 10 minutes because they seemed to be having tech difficulties. Better to ask people to sit down for a bit next time. Coffee was a little too hot but the food was really good. and so generous.

Make sure to fast before heading to Gusto Food because their servings are huge. No fuss, order at the counter when you’re ready, staff are helpful and plenty of parking around the area. Will definitely be back to try Brunch Menu.

Very friendly services, we were sitting outside on the footpath. We had the weekend roll, beef burger and the crumpets, food are all very nice, love the fries. Coffee is great but A bit disappointed with our Chai in milk with honey, the drink is only served warmed, and it tastes very watery.

Wow! We have been wanting to come here for ages but there was always a line when I went. I can see why it was so popular! Food was excellent and coffee was well made. Service was also very good and it is dog friendly out front which is a bonus. Highly recommended! Aim for an early or late breakfast to skip the crowd.

Good portion size, plenty if colour. Flavour isn't too bad but wait times can be long if you come during peak periods.

I wish I could give this place more stars because it’s absolutely amazing. I have probably been 20 times to date and eaten only the crumpets every time and they never get old. My all time favourite cafe in Perth that brings me so much joy when I go there. Thanks Gusto for this delicious dish 👌🏽

Great little cafe in South Perth, easy to find and plenty of street parking around. It wasn’t so busy on the weekday we visited at around 10am but crowd started to arrive after 11am. Food was well presented and of fresh quality with delicious taste. Coffee was amazing, my husband would usually ask for 3/4 topped up with long max to keep the strong taste (without the bitterness) but here he always get fully topped up due to the quality of their coffee and brewing. Overall visit was excellent except for when the staff argued amongst themselves at the counter without hesitation while customers are around.

Parking was hard to find. Food exceeded in portion and flavour which was beautiful. Service was okay - I believe he may have been front of house manager? Was just continuously downing one of the other employers in front of us which was uncomfortable to hear and see. Maybe the young boy was in training? Just feel like some of those conversations could've been held more privately. Otherwise overall experience was good. Had an iced coffee and it was really nicely balanced. Thank yous and yes ' we will return if in the area 😌

Sunday Brunch? Such a beautiful surprise receiving ❤️on a plate at #Gustofood - So pretty and tastefully arranged and decorated. My tastebuds were treated to an array of sweet passion fruit, crunchy homemade honeycomb and fruit medley with syrup on French cinnamon toast!

I was so amazed that we walked in and got a table. Friendly service and good food and oat milk flat white. We had the breakfast roll and the French toast. Wow, it was massive and too much for me to eat, topped with honeycomb. A great spot where people gather at all the cafe's in this small shopping area.

One of the best cafes in Perth hands down. The staff are always so warm, welcoming and observant. The cafe is quite small in size, but to be honest, it gives off a more cozy and homey vibe. Although there is sometimes a line during the peak brunch hour on Saturday and Sunday, I promise you it is all worth it. The food is spectacular; the chefs uses the freshest local ingredients daily and all the cakes are baked in house. The servings are so generous in size, and the presentation is exceptional, so make sure you have your stomachs ready! In my opinion, I love the big gusto breakfast . My friends also said that they enjoyed the cinnamon milk toast, the slab ham benedict, and the cheesy scrambled eggs! PS; don't forget to takeaway some sugar donuts for a lil sneaky snack at home !

really upset with my experience today at gusto. i came for brunch with a friend who has strict dietary requirements, and couldn’t eat any of the mains on the menu. instead, she wanted to put together the extras on the menu so she could be able to eat, but the staff simply said that “wasn’t possible” and that she would have to “order a main” to put the extras on. this poor service, on top of the mid atmosphere and overpriced food and drinks ($8.70 for an iced coffee?), i will not be recommending this place to anyone.

Gusto food never fails to disappoint. Haven’t been for a while till recently. Awesome coffee & very friendly service from Andrew the barista who seems to know every regular that come pass the door. Tried the cheeseburger today & it was absolutely delicious 😋 Keep up the great work!

Tried this cafe again after a year and both ordered the Gusto Breakfast. Large servings, mushrooms and bacon nice. Price tag $26.50 and an additional $3 for scrambled eggs, something I don’t understand. Poached eggs should be perfect for the price tag but, 2/4 eggs were hard. Orange juice was $8.50 a cup and both my wife and I were certain it was Cottees cordial. Service was great. Sorry, for $95 I’d expect more.

Good food. Excellent service. The waitress was especially very bubbly, friendly and attentive. Her customer service was excellent (young girl with dark hair). The young gentleman on the register was also very friendly and welcoming. Food was good and reasonably priced!

Very friendly staff, greeted and sat down quite quickly despite there being many customers. And it's no wonder! The food here is delectable. Just looking at the case of cakes and donuts on display was enough to get me hungrier. We ordered the french cinnamon milk toast and it was presented beautifully. The fruits and custard were lovely. We also ordered some eggs and they were possibly the most perfect eggs I've ever seen (and I thought mine were good!). The meal was just the right balance of sweet and I was left feeling full but not sickly, which is a rare occurance for me. Our server was very sweet and took care of us throughout the meal. The peppermint hot chocolate I order was presented so nicely I felt pampered, though I do wish it had a slightly more chocolate flavour. Overall a very nice experience and we'll be sure to go back next time we're in Perth. (I also wish I'd gotten some pics, however my phone was charging inside on the kindness of the staff) I will say for reference though, that the accessibility is limited, as the building is old and narrow, wheelchairs will not fit through the door.

OMG! Loved our breakfast of fabulously elaboarated french toast & pulled pork eggs benedict. Large servings, happily paid 50c per takeaway container. Attention to detail fantastic, staff so, so friendly & approachable. Will spread the word & be back for more.

Visited this cafe few years ago and today we came back and had gusto breakfast & cafe de Paris sirloin. The standard has not gone down. The food was great & beautifully presented and the wait wasn't long considering how busy the place was. coffee wasn't bad as well. Thumbs up to the kitchen staff that work so hard to maintain such a high standard consistently! Will definitely come back!

Angelo Street is a prime eating and drinking destination in South Perth. Gusto Food has an Italian influenced menu which is popular with locals. An Italian friend told that "gusto" in Italian means "good flavour." The sirloin steaks are very good if you want a substanial meal.

Had Gusto's breakfast and my spouse had a benny.. plus half of mine because the portion was huge. Presentation and service was fantastic. Nicely balanced mocha, not too sweet.. Perfectly poached eggs and a lovely bowl of garlicy mushrooms cooked to the ideal texture were my favourite parts of the meal but everything was just lovely. Didn't specify on the menu but are they using truffle sausage?

This cafe doesn't dissappoint, only thing I would suggest is portions are pretty big, could feed 2 people on my breakfast

My daughter took my partner and I to breakfast at Gusto Food this morning as part of a thank you gift. Our first impression was less than positive as a very grumpy, abrupt girl almost shouted at us to step back outside and sign in with the Covid App. When I replied that only my daughter had the app on her phone she dramatically rolled her eyes and told us "We would just have to wait while she called someone to take our details manually." All of this was done in such an officious manner, if it had been up to me I would have turned around and left. However, it was my daughters choice so we remained. An Asian gentleman, who took our details and found us a table, on the other hand, could not have been more pleasant. As we waited for our orders to arrive we watched this girl interact with other customers and my daughter actually said, "I really don't think she should be working in hospitality, she absolutely doesn't want to be here" From a twenty year old, I found this comment very astute. The waitress in question, was unsmiling and huffy. When asked for eating implements by one table, she actually stomped off to get them, then slammed them on the table when she returned. As she almost threw my meal in font of me she actually tipped my glass of water over (luckily I caught it before it hit the table completely) however she didn't even offer to clean up the spilt water, I had to do that myself with a table napkin. Although we could not fault the food or the other staff members, I am afraid I could not recommend this eatery to anyone as the feeling we departed with was actually relief to be away from such a negative person.

The food was amazing, generous portion for the big breakfast which we were surprised at. The food is constructed different enough to be exciting but not overly done that it is pointless. The staff were on point and very helpful. It is quite small but I personally didn't feel cramped. I didn't like that the drinks came with plastic straws especially in that neighbourhood.

Factor in long wait ("it will be 15 minutes"), cramped, bin outside smells terrible, coffee is average/bad. Food okay. Found it over rated, sorry.

After spending nearly $50 for one breakfast, toast and two coffees - I nearly choked when they asked me for another $4 for some maple syrup for my breakfast - REALLY!!! This cafe has long rested on it's undeserved laurels - we've been there a few times for convenience sake. On one occasion, they asked us for $5.00 for half an avocado and another time we had to pay for cream which is always complementary at cafes when you buy a cake or dessert. How very mean-spirited I say - our friends and I certainly will not return.

Located on the fashionable Angelo Street strip of South Perth Gusto is the popular choice going by the queue of customers. Indoor seats 15-20 outdoor around 6. We only had metal stools for our breakfast visit but the table was big enough for our dishes and drinks. My fried eggs on ciabatta with a side of bacon was well presented and tasty but the eggs had been left sitting on the side evident by the temperature and overcooked appearance of the egg yolks. The bacon was plentiful but drenched in oil and had charred edges. Overall a good experience because of the company and general feel of the place.

👍👍 Guys - this may be one of my favourite restaurants in Perth. For sheer value alone - you pay $24 for unlimited starters and dosa. That in itself would warrant a 5/5 review, but the food is GOOD here! Amazing flavours, crazy variety - you can order it all ala carte but why would you when you can pay...
