We stayed at Tribe Perth Kings Park for 3 nights, and we had an amazing experience. These are just a few things that we loved in the hotel: * Our room was very comfortable and clean. We really felt welcomed, and the city views were great. Nespresso machine and kettle in the room is a very nice touch with coffee, tea, and complementary water every day. * All the staff was very professional, nice and kind. They really know how to take care of their guests. We felt really special the way that everyone treated us. * Good location with main attractions on walking distance. * The buffet breakfast was delicious with much variety and with fresh products. We had, without a doubt, an amazing hotel experience. We can't recommend enough staying at this hotel.

Did not meet our expectations. My husband and and I stayed here for 2 nights over NYE and it was a very average stay. We appreciated the great service & friendly staff, soaps and shampoos were nice, and the rooms were clean. However, we thought the room design outweighed functionality - the rooms are designed in a minimalist style so they are tiny and try to optimize space. This may be appropriate for a solo traveller, but for couples or families, it is very uncomfortable to be crammed into a small room. There was no space to put our luggage and the bathroom is right next to the bed so you can hear (and see and as the bathroom door has a large gap) the person in the bathroom i.e there was no privacy. The room fittings and fixtures are also worn out. We also paid $17 pp extra for breakfast and it was just a few pastries, bread and cereals. The images on their website and from other reviews of hot breakfasts and in-room dining do not seem to reflect current available services. There is also no fitness centre or other amenities as I would expect from a 4 star hotel. Overall, we did not feel we received good value for money. We will not be staying here again unfortunately.

Good place to stay for a single person, at least in the room I had. Although it had good amenities it was quite small and would have been quite tight for a couple (not sure if they have larger rooms). They do have a great lobby to stretch out in and if necessary use your computer for business and it seemed you could always find a quiet corner to work in.

Good: Nice space downstairs, and friendly staff. Rooms kinda nice. Bad: Rooms are a bit small, aged, tatty, dirty, suspicious stains on the curtain weirdly.. and was charged 199 for the second rate room. More like a rendezvous hotel than for business. Moved to the Quest accross the road.. literally 2/3 the price, clean and fully self contained🤷‍♂️

The view was good. The staff are very friendly. Unfortunately that is all I can say that was good about our stay. Prepare to pay a ridiculous amount for parking for a start. Our room was disgustingly filthy. Did not look like it had even been cleaned at all. Hand marks on every surface, hair all over the place, dirt on side tables and on the bed, the drinking glasses looked like they had been used as ash trays. The room itself was so small that even the tiny double bed only had about half a meter all around it. So then we got moved to a different room that was only slightly cleaner. It still had ashtray glasses, hand prints and hair everywhere. The new room had a wheelchair accessible bathroom, so it had a channel grate at one end for drainage.. it looked like people had been using it as a urinal. The bed was hard up against the full height window and still hardly any room around it. The climate control was automatically swapping between hot and cold temp and ended up sweating all night. Needless to say we canceled our second night and moved to a different hotel. I wouldn’t even give this place one star, but that option isn’t available. I seriously want a refund!

This was the respose from the owner of Tribe after my review Hi Elaine, Thank you for including Tribe in your recent travel plans. I am sorry your stay did not meet your expectations. Wishing you all the best in your future travels. Kind regards, Travis This was the BIGGEST UNDERSTATEMENT I HAVE EVER RECEIVED ON A REVIEW. I had the worst stay, in the worst hotel in Perth. I live in Perth and I have stayed in a LOT of hotels in the last 30 years It doesn't get any worse than NOT STAYING AND BOOKING OUT Driving home because your facilities are better at home This hotel is hanging by a thread!!!! I'll be amazed if your still trading in six months I'll enjoy my future travels if no other hotel is as dire as yours!!!!

Good boutique hotel close to Kings Park and the Subiaco business area. A little tired here and there due to normal wear and tear The bed was great.Room was good for a solo traveller. They have secure parking, small vehicles only, and my motorbike was easily parked also. Breakfast is only continental..cereal, toast and pastries ,tea and coffee..and is ok to start the day. Lounge is great for a drink at the end of the day.

Had a fabulous week in Perth staying at Tribe. Would recommend. The rooms are a little small, but perfect for a solo traveller like myself. The staff were super lovely and remembered the smaller details re my travels. I really appreciated that. They gave me great recommendations for dining and touristy activities. The hotel is also close to the city by bus. The Red Cat bus (free service) was a couple of minute walk away and drops you right in the city. Thank you thank thank you. I'll be back.

Spontaneously needed a room in Perth, Tribe did not disappoint. When I told my husband the price he was a little concerned but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was small but had everything we needed, breakfast included, yummy and fast room service and cool, arty decor. The staff were also very friendly! Would recommend and would stay again!

The room is very small (18m²) with nice park view, nice mattress, coffee pods and T2 tea bags in the bedroom, Kevin Murphy products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion) provided but no personal cleaning products such as tooth brush and hair comb. Do have a hair dryer. Nice mattress, very supportive and comfortable to sleep on. Could hear people slamming doors in the morning though. Lovely social hub on the ground floor. Free street parking on the weekend from Friday night 6pm. It'd be better to have the filtered water station every level instead of only one at the ground floor.

Great hotel, highly recommend! Comfortable beds, lovely toiletries, with a nice view of the neighbouring garden, very good service with superb friendly staff. Will definitely rebook in the future.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful. Bed, although quite high, are very comfy. They also provide very high quality products in their bathrooms. I love the personal touch of a hand written note in the room welcoming me to the hotel. I will definitely be back.

I stayed at Tribe as it was close to the hospital and affordable while my sister went in for her surgery. Yes, the rooms are quite small but as I stayed by myself it was fine by me. The room was clean and the decor is lovely. But the reason I give it 5 stars is because of the outstanding service from the hotel staff! Unfortunately my sister passed away in hospital and devastated by the news I broke down at the hotel lobby. I was approached by Lily who was serving the breakfast that day. She held my hand when I told her what happened and with her kind approach I was comfortable to open up and share my feelings and told her a lot about my sister. She hugged me and said to me that my sister may not be here anymore but she will continue to be with me everywhere I go and in the stories I will tell the people I meet for the rest of my life. Clearly that didn’t take the pain away, but at that point I was able to pick myself up and find the strength to get on with the day. It’s been a few weeks since, and I still take some comfort in her words. The staff at Tribe been incredibly warm and helpful and this is not something to take for granted. Thank you for being so kind.

Enjoyed a night stay here. Designed to make use of the small space, the room had everything we needed. Clean, comfortable bed, good working eunsuit and quiet well working air-conditioning. Nice to have a shade blind as well as a full block out blind so we can still see the nice view from the window. We did not eat any food as we walked to Kings Park for breakfast.

Great hotel with nice views. Small but clever room layout and the massive window makes it feel big. Aircon was great, so cold we turned it off. Great shower and plenty of movie options on the TV. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Drew the concierge was a very professional and knowledgeable. Thanks for making me feel very welcome. I had a very comfortable stay with a delicious breakfast 😁

Really small room which was way to warm. Breakfast was a complete waste of money and looked nothing like in the photos. No hot food. Just cereal, danish sweets, plan bagels with minimal spreads. Did not eat it the second or third day cause of options Not worth it at all and disappointing. Asked about heating a few times with no real help. Not being able go control the temperature of your own room makes things hard as it was always to hot, and made it for comfortable nights and mornings and nothing could be done. Would not stay here again unfortunately.

To be honest I had high expectations based on the photos. Arrived to a very cool vibe in foyer, but room was tiny, bathroom was horrible especially the heavy door that hit my foot as it still closed numerous times. Awkward to move around in the room, nowhere to really sit other than on the bed and even moving around the bed was difficult, nowhere to really put luggage unless it’s in these crevices under the bed (as a space saving measure). Weird. Didn’t like it.

My partner and I had a nice stay, quick walk to kings park where we had picnic dinner, however the breakfast is not worth the money paid. We essentially paid extra for breakfast with our room and got a selection of toast, some fruit and cereal, coffee was extra again. Rooms are tiny, with walking distance around the bed. Our room was upgraded with a view, which was lovely of the staff. Nice for a night stay but wouldn't stay any longer.

Service was friendly and efficient enough. No room service . Rooms are small. It was like living in a clean cupboard with the toilet/shower on your lap. The water temperature does not go past a set level as too much steam will set off fire alarm and you will be asked to pay a 1000 dollar fine for setting it off. 😩 Not the best experience.. the bathroom door is right next to the bed. You could reach out from the bed and open the bathroom. The door does not fully shut in the bathroom so you can literally see the person on the toilet. There is no where to hang towels except on the door handle. They would have done better with fewer well thought out rooms. The advertising is false and reels you in. For what they charge you’re better off elsewhere. The tv is only compatible with Samsung android so apple users ….tough luck. Parking is a nightmare and very limited.

Gorgeous lobby! Absolutely loved the entrance. The room was nice, but it was very difficult to have a sleep in. East facing room with direct sunlight, made the room very hot and some days unbearable to stay in. Would have loved some blackout blinds. The shower grate was blocked and difficult to have a decent shower as the water pooled and would go into the bedroom. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Restaurant Waa lovely and good selection of wine.

Front desk staff were great, helpful and friendly - they accommodated our early check in upon arrival. Front office and lobby is spacious and quirky but unfortunately when it comes to the rooms they are extremely small, even for 2 people. There is no space to even lay open your luggage without holding onto the wall to jump over it. We only had one large luggage and one hand luggage. The bathroom door had gaps so you have no privacy at all. The whole bathroom floor gets wet and the floor outside the bathroom was spongey and stained. Paneling coming away from edges... Overall, the rooms have not been maintained. I would say its overpriced.

I stayed at the Tribe hotel for seven nights. The bed was comfortable, though high. The tv had a larger Ranger of channels than I expected, though the free movies were pretty average. The bathroom was nice and there was soap, shampoo, and conditioner provided. The toilet was quite low so may be hard to use if you have mobility issues. The shower head was large but the water pressure was not fantastic, however there was a second removable head. My room was quite warm and didn’t originally have the option of cooling, but other guests on my level said that their rooms were cold. There was hanging space for clothing. There was laundry services available, though you had to pay for each individual piece of clothing. In my room there was a kettle and some tea. I didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel because it was $23 per person for what I think is basic food. I had dinner one night, where you pay for what you get, but the menu didn’t have a lot of options. The staff were all kind and did their best to help when needed, even offering nearby restaurant suggestions. There were a number of nice restaurants and cafes within reasonable walking distance. There was the option of paying for use of the hotel’s carpark, which I believe was $30 a night. There was only about 7 parking spaces including a disabled space. Overall I enjoyed my experience.

Rooms were small but functional with good cleaning staff. The front desk staff were always very friendly and willing to help out at any time. The location was very close to nice parks, great cafe's and a convenient red CAT (bus) into the city.

Smallest rooms I've seen in an Australian hotel. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom snaps shut so fast it nearly took off my fingers.

  • 4/5 Hayden 9 months ago on Google
Booked this due to its proximity to kings park and fancied something a bit fancier after staying in a couple of hotels in the CBD. While it’s technically closer to the park there’s no easy direct route to the botanic garden and it’s actually quicker to get a CAT from the CBD then it is to walk from the hotel. Given the location I’d recommend providing free bicycle rental for guests so they can take advantage of the quieter part of the city. The hotel itself is well kept and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The main thing that’s looking shabby is the handle on the bathroom door, which would probably be better stripped of the black paint. Unfortunately despite a nice theme the hotel rooms are not a comfortable size. Maybe for one person but dual occupancy you’ll be tripping over bags and each other. The bathroom door being so awkward exasperated the issue. The whole city view side of the hotel has a solar issue in that its in direct sunlight so if you leave the curtains open it gets hot fast, and it’s winter so can’t imagine it in the summer. Exterior horizontal shading above the average persons eyeline would help without sacrificing the view. Looking at reviews it seems they have free movies on demand but didn’t see this advertised. Ultimately I’ve got no reason to stay here again given the other hotel options at similar and lower price points with twice or thrice the m2.

we stayed 2 nights, instead of one night. the hotel was very quiet and pleasant. a lunch with little choice (eggs, bacon, squeezed orange juice, missing) but nice all the same! a very good meal also in the evening. Very clean and welcoming hotel.

It's a place to sleep in the city. The rooms are small but practical and funky. Don't bother trying to order a drink at the "24 hour" bar

I really enjoyed my stay here. Staff friendly, efficient and attentive. Rooms very clean and tidy, but just a little small for suitcases etc. I loved the daily room servicing, it was nice to come back to freshen up room and towels everyday and I found the personal care items provided (shampoo/conditioner etc) were absolutely lovely, and it was a nice change. I didn't use any of my own! Breakfast (continental) was fresh everyday and the social hub room on the ground floor was very relaxing and pleasant. Parking is mainly on the street but during my stay there were no issues.

Service was very good, coffee was not. Also, minor point but a cup of coffee served on a saucer with sugar should come with a spoon. Pleasant lobby area, spacious and decor was interesting. Not overly busy or noisy.

Wonderful bed. Great place to sleep. Rooms were small but comfy. Foyer area was lovely. Nice place to hang out. Service was good. I love the location as it just near Kings Park. Perfect location to walk. Short walk to places to eat.

Pros: *Location was great. It was nice to stay a little outside the city and near Kings Park. We brought our bikes along which was really helpful! *Staff were really helpful and friendly. *Bed was extremely comfortable! * beautiful views Cons: *Rooms are very compact. * The bathroom is small and more like a “wet room”. There is barely a shower screen. After taking a shower the whole bathroom becomes very wet/steamy and takes a long time to dry. Overall a good stay. We will likely stay again.

My home is on the market now so I decided to book in here and escape the home opens. Its delightful, close to the CBD, Kings Park. Staff are super friendly, I highly rate it here. recommendthis venue.

Stayed 1 night in a standard room. Tasfully decorated with a window spanning the size of the room. Looking out at sunset & seeing the tree tops of Kings Park was sublime. Unfortunately the kitchen is closed. They offer $50 breakfast delivery service that couldn't accept our breakfast order & they are having problems even to deliver. So unfortunitly the the morning put a damper on our experience :-/

The rooms are unbelievably tiny but it's clean and comfy. I enjoyed my stay here mostly because of the accommodating people at the desk. Might consider staying here again but probably not for the same price. If you've claustrophobia I would not recommend the Tribe.

Didn't meet my expectations compared to other places of similar price where I've stayed at in Perth. Rooms are tiny, didn't feel clean and the parking was expensive. Staff were very flustered and the concierge couldn't tell us the location of the nearest cafè to get breakfast from.

  • 1/5 Julienne D. 3 years ago on Google
Very small room, the quilt was stained. No breakfast available. No pool, despite that I read that a pool at a gym close by was available for hotel guests, not that weekend. Not particularly good value for money. However, the hotel staff were were very friendly and accommodating.

Furniture and fixtures little rough around the edges, some aircon issues but fresh, clean towels and sheets, much appreciated complimentaries. Especially appreciated Dan for looking after us when needed as room was hot when we arrived and aircon faulty, but Dan who got us another room where it worked. 3 stars for the room, 4 stars for sheets, towels and complimentaries and 5 stars for Dans' service!

Great trendy hotel, young Vibe and really attractive foyer. Room is small but high quality. It's a pity their food service was closed when I visited. Without food the local area is a little difficult to find a good feed for a newcomer.

This hotel has aged poorly. I stayed here three years ago and it was trendy and cool but today it's just worn and tired. The room shows signs of wear everywhere with poor attempts at repair make the design feel dated. They go for a minimalist design but it's a bit too minimal for me. There isn't even a comfortable chair to sit and have a cup of coffee in the morning. The bed is comfortable but the whole thing was made up loosely with flat sheets - there was no fitted sheet and the flat sheet wasn't big enough to be tucked in and work. There also isn't a duvet cover, it's just two flat sheets wrapped around the duvet, which really doesn't work and isn't particularly hygienic.

Stayed 3 nights - fair view of the park - very small rooms, super compact, AC constantly noisy - Good beds, friendly staff. Similar hotels for the same price offer more facilties and restaurants or coffee shops within the premises.

Look if your looking for a cheap place in the city that is close to everything this is the place to stay but personal I think the rooms are very under cleaned and the rooms are very small with little to no space at all. But I'm not saying its a bad place to stay the staff are amazing very friendly and helpful and its perfect place to stay if your on a budget.

Overall a good stay but some room for improvement. The hotel was modern and nicely designed, the lobby downstairs had a lovely communal area. Our room was the basic one but we still had a decent view being on level 4. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was very quiet and felt very private. Unfortunately our TV didn’t work properly (kept spontaneously turning off) and we noticed some areas in the bathroom that needed upkeep. The room was quite small but we knew that before booking. The wifi was also poor.

This hotel is quirky and small. The bathroom is a little squishy but for a weekend stay-cation close to the city centre it's perfect. Would be a whole lot better if the restaurant was open but I assume in these covid times that it was difficult to keep open.

  • 1/5 Lauren A. 1 year ago on Google
Room was disgusting and unclean, found evidence of a used Covid test in plain sight, bathroom had mould and was falling apart. Caulking in the bathroom was poorly done. There was a white powder (most likely plaster) on the carpets by the bathroom. Bathroom door handle had been chipped of paint so badly over half of it was bare metal. Front desk staff were lovely but let down by the poor standards for cleanliness and maintenance at this establishment.

  • 1/5 Benjamin M. 1 year ago on Google
I was advised prior to booking the hotel that food was not available due to Covid, this I accept. However no house keeping service is currently being provided, unless requested. I did request house keeping however they were a no show and reception apologised and offer a coffee voucher??? Maybe pay better wages and attract staff as my room rate was not discounted to reflect missing house keeping services. Fresh towels as a minimum should be provided. Avoid this hotel until they can raise their standards. Still waiting for my towels and coffee voucher lol and the rooms are tiny !!

  • 1/5 Taylah L. 1 year ago on Google
Very disappointing for the price. the rooms are small and absolutely disgusting we had no mattress fitter it was just 1 sheet over the bare mattress, there was stains aswell. At night the aircon shuts off and turns to heater! And doesn’t turn aircon on at all!! (I had just had a baby and got sent perth childrens hospital so this hotel was the closest to the hospital) only reason I stayed the amount of days I did. I paid extra for breakfast and parking apparently there was none?? And had to park at the front where you get charged for parking to 🤦🏼‍♀️ The hospital had a better room then this place and aircon! To the owner, a little makeover on the place is needed and better bedding and fix the aircon situation.

Shower did not get hot, stayed at luke warm temperature and we were unable to control the heating and cooling therefore the bathroom/apartment room was freezing...tried the shower in the evening and again in the morning and it still did not heat up. Attemped to call down to reception and the phones in the room didn't work. Once we went down to discuss this with the employee she offered little assistance and also did not seem surprised when we mentioned about the shower temperature...

For the price I don't think you could ask for much more. Rooms, tho compact, have pretty much everything you need, 11am checkout which is nice, good location and pretty walkable. The staff were super friendly, smoothed over a late check-in from a cancelled flight and no bad surprises. Only gripe is a build-up of white residue where the carpet meets the wet area and no toothpaste/disposable razor in bathroom amenities but I should remembered my own. Thanks for the friendly service

Given it was my first trip to Perth, I was unsure about this hotel but it was the only one available so I got myself booked in. Found the place to be perfect for my stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. Absolutely loved the ease wherewith I was picked up and dropped off for where I needed to travel to for my business there. Greatly appreciate being able to check in soon after arriving in Perth, otherwise I'd have roamed the streets with my suitcase in tow. Likewise with a very early check out. Too easy. Would definitely call it home for my next visit. Thanks Tribe Perth Kings Park for a great stay.

We stayed here for a week. Our room was compact but well designed. Customer service was second to none. Walking distance from a few good places to eat and drink on Hay St, a very quick cab ride into the centre of the CBD for everything else, and easy access to freeways if heading north or south. Overall, good location, great value, and fantastic service.

Eva at reception is an absolute legend. I had a ridiculous request to print out some cat memes to make my wife laugh, and Eva jumped on board and had heaps of fun with it. Possibly the greatest hotel experience I've ever had. All the staff have been super friendly and helpful. Thank you, Eva, and Tribe, for a memorable weekend. Glen and Angie!

Brilliant place. My first stay was when it was hot and the room was nice and cool when I arrived. Staff are fantastic and helpful. The decor is magnificent and views from the rooms are great. This is my second stay because it's so convenient for me to work out of here. Buses are right around the corner.
