Spicy beef noodles with wide noodles. The portion was very generous for $14. I struggled to finish it. Service was great and friendly! the soup tasted really nice and not spicy at all tbh. 4 stars just because it was a little bland. Beef was amazing. I'd recommend it!

Mr Bun offers a good range of affordable Chinese food options. We came on the weekend and had free parking nearby. We decided to go for the Lanzhou styled braised beef noodle soup, both spicy and non-spicy versions. They both came out quickly and the portions were very generous. The thick noodles were good! The braised beef was tender with good flavour. Spicy soup was excellent (but no table water unfortunately so the spice added up). The xiao long bao (soup dumplings) were what you'd expect. Overall, I'd recommend Mr Bun as a go-to option if you're craving no-nonsense and cheap Chinese food.

Wow, this is such a good restaurant. Its hard to believe that you can even find food like this in Perth. I haven't had good northern Chinese food in ages and this fulfilled my need. This is probably one of the only authentic places. The soup was fragrant and so flavourful as well as the pickled vegetables. The Chinese burger was also very yummy with the mince bursting with spices and herbs. I am definitely coming again for more :)

If you're in the CBD, this restaurant is quite centrally located for one that offers comforting noodle dishes. For affordable prices, serving sizes are generous. Soup bases were rich and satisfying, and sauces were punchy and flavourful. Overall, it's satisfying, great food, and value for money. Bring cash to avoid a card surcharge.

Xiao Long Bao is excellent, very juicy and taste very fresh. Handmade noodle is a must try and you can choose the thickness of your noodle. Both of the thickness are good.

Went to this place for lunch on a weekend. It wasn't very busy. Service was fast. The place is spacious enough it can be considered good for kids. I got Spicy Beef Noodles (thin noodles). Tasted good and was about 15 dollars

If you want Chinese food, as opposed to Australian Chinese food, particularly noodles, you may want to drop in at Mr Bun. The small eatery serves a wide variety of noodles that are generally unavailable at other Chinese restaurants. This is because the others serve what many Australians think is Chinese food. Seriously, Mongolian lamb? Satay beef? Lemon chicken? Even the fried rice bears little resemblance to what Chinese are used to.

Good portion size and balanced flavours. The bun skin is tender but not sticky, with just the right amount of filling and broth inside.

A friend recommended this place and I went there. Ever since, I have only ordered the spicy beef noodles with wide noodles and extra vegetables and it’s absolutely superb. The service is excellent with the dish coming out in only 2-ish minutes (great service!!). I recommend highly!

I had the spicy beef noodles. The soup was good but the noodles were unfortunately overcooked. The portion was large enough for 2 small to medium eaters

This place is a gem! I recommend the thin noodles as they are very nice and the broth sticks to it well. The beef is so tender that you can cut it with the chop sticks in your hand.

I really recommend this restaurant. They are very generous with the portion size, luckily I didn’t order an entry, otherwise would be a lot of food. I tried the pickles beef noodles soup, it was yummy.

How often have you walked past Mr Bun, located just past the East end of Murray Street mall? A non-pretentious and simple restaurant. It is the perfect, cheap and cheerful fix on a cold, rainy day. Parking is limited in the area. Order at the counter. Thick, in-house noodles were a lovely, springy texture. Thin noodles just as satisfying. A few pieces of frozen white fish completed the dish, although were lacking in both number and flavour. The preserved vegetables in broth made up for it. They are generous with their salt, which may be to your liking. It's a personal take although makes me wonder if the chef smokes. Serving sizes are generous to just right for a hungry adult. Service is no nonsense, help yourself and order at the counter. Could do with a water station, even if it is just a self-serve urn for tea or cold water.

A simple place. No tralala. This is EXCELLENT. Yummy yummy. And enormous portion. A MUST to visit. My best cheap address in Perth. I go every week I am there. My preferred is the spicy beef noodles soup.

What a lovely place to have an affordable Chinese food. My favourite dish was beef and potato thick noodle. The braised beef was so tender and juicy. The noodles were springy. Love the potatoes in the dish. It was not a crowded place. However the xiao long bau and dumplings were lacking meat in them. For the price, it was still a great deal. The staff were always smiley and welcoming. Beautifully decorated place. The food arrived within 5 minutes most of the time. Highly recommended for Chinese food lovers.

Could have been spicier yet it wasn't bad compared to similar restaurants. Service was quick though some of the staff struggle with English. The item served didn't match the picture however another nearby restaurant also mentioned lacking a certain type of noodle today so perhaps there was a delivery problem in the area recently. Inside, the place looks lovely and they play beautiful Chinese music.

Nice place for a great noodle and dumpling Chinese style. Cosy and reasonably priced. Good quality noodle. I have a beef brisket noodle. The brisket is tender and juicy goes well with their special made chilli oil. My wife had a claypot rice noodle. Both item were well prepared with generous portions. For those who love lar mein this is the place you should try.

Homely, cosy, and simply beautiful noodles. The soup is very more-ish, the noodles are chewy and silky, and the toppings are fresh and tasty. Looking forward to coming back again for lunch!

Came for lunch, it was very popular and busy. Beef noodles came in an enormous serving and tasty okay but kind of bland and not delicious. Chinese Burger tasted a little off, was disappointing. Tofu with century egg was good, and had a very tasty sauce! Overall, was okay but a bit disappointing.

I read the comments and they said it was a portion But when I came to the restaurant , I noticed the amount of the noodles was very small and couldn’t fill me up at all It’s basically tastless vegetables below the noodles and the amount of noodles in the bowl were like 20% of the noodles in the bowl in Chinese restaurant that I had in China And the belt noodles were very thick and hard to chew I don’t know what flour it’s used but it tastes nothing like the noodles I had in China Wouldn’t visit it again

There are mild dishes and fiery ones; ask the waitstaff if you are not sure. Do try the Chinese hamburger and the pig's ears. The latter is crunch and is nicely flavoured too. And genuine as opposed to made for Aussie tastes.
