The cashier in the morning shift (the owner I assume) treats people with different ethnicity background differently. Been coming here over two months now, at first I thought he’s just having a bad day, now seeing him treating a particular group of people with could shoulders and apathy, I’m pretty certain that is the case. Coffee IS top-tier, food is also great; all other staff are very friendly. But don’t forget, you are running a service business. Whatever cognitive biases or just simply undereducated opinions this guy has, the prejudice practice is just not a sustainable business model. Won’t be coming here agin.

With ultra-friendly baristas and one of the better coffees in Hay Street, it's not hard to see why there's a steady stream of the office crowd circling in and out this cafe. Worth a walk to on a windy day, even if you can't get a seat. I just wish they open later, but who am I kidding, it's Perth and I don't wake up at 6 in the morning.

Fantastic little cafe with friendly staff! The açai smoothie was perfectly delicious, and the breakfast wrap was also really nice. The matcha raspberry brownie was extremely high in sugar though. Would recommend this cafe!

I come to Duotone almost daily as it is the best coffee in the area and the locals know it. Sometimes there is one guy making the coffee that isn't so great so we get cold brew instead that day. The food is a little expensive but I guess you'd expect that in the city. Its a bustling busy shop and everyone serving there are friendly and welcoming!

Whenever I try a new cafe, I always go in with lowered expectations. The girls at Duotone really know how to serve up a strong, hot full-bodied coffee. It was strong without being bitter, the buttered banana bread also tasted great. I'll make this a regular coffee stop.

This place is absolutely packed and busy for a reason - the bagels are out of this world, the smashed avocado is next level and the coffee is so damn good. I found this hole in the wall by chance and so glad that I decided to go in. A trendy little hot spot with bubbling service and varied and delicious menu

Well-seasoned beef bulgogi made for a satisfying lunch rice bowl. Coffee was on point. Unfortunately the mushroom hamburger that my mate had was disappointingly small, and woefully lonely without any side salad or chips at all - not at all a great value.

I've visited this coffee shop two days in a row because their coffee is truly exceptional. I also gave their taro bread a try, and it didn't disappoint. Conveniently located right in front of The Mint Museum, it's the perfect spot for a coffee before or after your museum visit.

Amazing coffee! Soy milk is available here. Design and colors for the cafe is well chosen. Colors give relaxing atmosphere suitable for morning or late coffees. Clean place, polite and wonderful staff. For food, I personally think it is average in both how it look and taste; Looking forward to try something else next time. I think they can do better in this. But overall I'm pretty happy with this place.

Nice cafe with good food and coffee; however, the time i went they only had one egg left, and when i ordered my dish, they didn't offer discount until i asked. If the portion of the dish is cut in half, you shouldn't expect your customer to pay in full. That wouldn't be ethical.

The place is near our car rental place so we decided to give it a try. The toastie was very crispy. The coffee on the other hand was average.

Such a lovely place for a cup of coffee. The iced latte was so good that I liked it very much and there are some lovely tables and seats in and outside of the cafe. However, it seemed the cafe is short of seats at the time I visited there and the tables were not cleaned up. I'll rather choose to eat outside when I visit there next time. P.S. No toilet available in the cafe

In town for a work trip and this has been my favorite cafe so far! Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, well priced options that taste great and quality coffee and baked goods. What’s not to love!?

This cafe was a great find. A busy little cafe with plenty of local customers, friendly staff and fast service. If I lived and worked in Perth I’d definitely be a regular. As it was, I came here twice during my stay. The coffee was excellent. I had shakshouka (the poached eggs were a little undercooked) and the mushroom & pumpkin bruschetta - delicious (and perfectly cooked)! Highly recommend.

Excellent breakfast spot. The food is great and so are the baked goods. Service is good but the opening time is not always as advertised. My only complaint about this place though. It is just frustrating when you have somewhere to be and aren’t sure if you can get your brekkie in time or not.

Yeah, one of the best coffees in the city and I have lived here for 12 years on and off. The latte is comparable to a good Doi Chang or Turinho latte. Bravo 👍 Unfortunately I tried the breakfast the following morning and was disappointed to see it way overpriced. $45 for 2 x scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast plus 2 coffees is a bit rich for me I’m afraid. Maybe they ought to offer a discount for seniors?
