Nestled
at
a
corner
of
a
street,
Mint
Asian
is
a
hidden
gem
offering
delightful
Asian
cuisine,
with
a
focus
on
Singaporean
dishes
and
a
few
Thai
dishes.
At
first
glance,
the
restaurant's
empty
and
seemingly
"old"
appearance
may
raise
some
skepticism.
As
a
Singaporean
myself,
I
was
curious
about
the
authenticity
of
their
Singaporean
flavors.
However,
my
doubts
were
quickly
dispelled.
I
decided
to
try
a
variety
of
dishes,
including
the
Egg
Fried
Rice,
Prawn
Fried
Rice,
Kway
Tuay,
Laksa,
and
Springroll.
To
my
pleasant
surprise,
each
dish
exceeded
my
expectations.
While
much
pricier
compared
to
Singapore,
the
portion
sizes
were
generous,
making
it
worth
it.
In
our
group's
opinion,
the
Prawn
Fried
Rice
outshined
the
Egg
Fried
Rice.
The
former
was
more
flavourful
with
wok
hey
taste,
while
the
latter
lacked
ingredients
and
leaned
towards
being
slightly
dry.
The
Laksa,
a
traditional
Singaporean
dish,
turned
out
to
be
surprisingly
good.
In
fact,
I
dare
say
that
the
broth
tasted
even
better
than
some
of
the
laksa
you
find
in
nearby
neighborhoods
back
in
Singapore.
Among
the
dishes
I
ordered,
the
Kway
Teow
stood
out
as
the
tastiest.
Its
flavors
were
well-balanced,
leaving
a
lasting
impression.
The
Springroll
also
deserves
mention
for
its
commendable
quality.
While
the
service
may
not
be
top-notch,
the
staff
is
friendly
enough,
adding
to
the
overall
dining
experience.
To
sum
it
up,
if
you're
craving
Singaporean
food
or
looking
to
savor
a
taste
of
Singapore
in
Perth,
Mint
Asian
is
one
of
the
few
places
you
should
definitely
visit.
Its
delectable
dishes,
despite
being
much
pricier
than
in
Singapore,
will
leave
you
satisfied
and
give
you
a
good
taste
of
Singapore
food.
