(+) : - The atmosphere here is family friendly, good for lunch or dinner with your loved ones. - Nice staff - Especially for Indonesian who lives in Perth, if they miss the taste of authentic Indonesian foods, this is one of the best places to go. - The price is also reasonable. - They sell Indonesian chili sauces, traditional herbs, traditional snacks, etc. - Also this place has "Halal certificate" so it's good for Muslim people. (-) : - To be honest if you buy the drinks from here, the portion is too small.

We would be devastated if Batavia ever closed down! This is my go to place to have my Indo fix. You can always count on the authentic Indonesian flavour on the dishes. Service is quick, portion and prices are still very reasonable. We had a dinner date and ordered between the two of us. Gado gado Pempek Nasi rames ayam goreng kremes The pempek felt slightly overfried but the fish cakes and sauce was still delicious. Gado gado tastes just like home. The nasi rames was flavourful though my husband said the beef could be cooked a bit softer. One thing they could improve on is the ventilation inside the restaurant, you will come out smelling as if you've been standing next to a deep fryer all day.

Another good Indonesian place in Victoria Park. Everything I ordered were delicious and well priced. I gave it 4 stars as the Teh Tarik was a bit too sweet. Even I love sweet but for a hot drink it should be a bit less 😁

One if my favorite indo food. My usual go to place if im not sure what i wanted to eat. Most of the food are quite authentic. Just beware of their chilli because its really spicy. Not aussie level for sure. I love their fried rice, batagor, siomay bandung and their bakso goreng. Their ayam kremes is the best. (Fried chicken). If you like indo food this should be one of your list.

One of the oldest Indonesian restaurant in perth and its a halal restaurant too. Their food consistently taste really good and authentic through out the years. My favourites are: Lontong sayur, gado², tahu telor, ayam penyet, nasi rames kremes. Lately, I am kinda addicted with Their popular Indonesian street food snacks too. The Martabak manis ( the texture is in between crumpet & pan cake) has few variety options.Usually I just bought any combination as long as it include cheese in the topping. They usually stock few pre made ones lately. If you need specific combo of toppings and based you need to pre order them. The Risoles ragout has excellent skin and very nice ragout filling inside. Their bakso goreng big and crunchy. No fee for etpos (inserted). Additional fee for other cards charges.

An ok but purely functional restaurant - no decor or ambience which is actually a pretty typical Indonesian restaurant in Indonesia. The food was tasty but some of the portions were a little small - if the menu says prawns you kind of expect at least two. The restaurant refused to provide tap water and said they didn’t have to, rather defensively. They made up some story about only having to offer water if they served wine, which they don’t. The small portions, although tasty, were disappointing and the refusal to provide drinking water left a bad taste in the mouth.

The food is average, the cleanliness is of good standard. But I find the restaurant owner very stingy. We asked for tap water but was told by the staff they don't provide tap water; they only have bottled water which is chargeable! So this is "forcing" the customer pay if they just want some water. This is the only restaurant we come across that never provide tap water and this is stingy! Then we noticed the only tissues they provide was the ones they use to wrap the fork and spoon together with, but we needed a couple more. So to get more, the customers need to go to the ordering counter to ask for them! If there's no staff at the counter, you got to wait. If there’s a long queue of customers in front of you, you got to wait too! What a waste of time! On our 2nd visit, we saw a customer literally stretched his arm to the other side of the ordering counter to help himself to some tissues as there was no staff at the ordering counter! If the restaurant wasn't so stingy, I believe the customer would not do this!!! The restaurant is disgraceful for not providing tap water and tissues, these are very basic hospitality, they deserved one star. Their stinginess leave a bad taste in our mouth, we won't be returning.

Great location with good sized venue. The restaurant it self is clean, no toilet at the premise but can always ask key to go to their staff toilet located outside. They have many choices of Indonesian food. For left over, take away food container is available for 50 cent a piece. Apart from ala carte, ready Indonesian snacks and bites are available at the counter. Service is quite fast too.

One of my favourite place for indonesia restaurant. More taste of javanese food from indonesia. Their food consistently good and one of my favourite one are Yellow rice (nasi kuning) fried ball( bakso goreng) and risoles. They also selling some snacks such sweet indonesia pancake(martabak manis), kue bolu(steam cake) and they also produce some bakso ,love their tendon beef ball(bakso urat). Always stock the beef ball in the freezer ,nice food for winter or just to put it in instant noodle. The photo attaches is for one off dishes "lontong cap go meh"

This is where the Indonesians go in Perth if they miss home. Well, here and a few other places in Vic Park. It's also the best place which showcase Indonesian hospitality IMO, as it's a family-run place and they treat every customer like friends and royalty. My grandma used to go here and the owner would know her by sight. Over the years, all my other mates of all skin colours and accents who live in Perth also knew about this place. The reason is simple: good food, great service, immorally low prices. I'd say all the food here are pretty safe bets, even though I'm biased as an Indonesian, and I tend to eat everything. If you're looking to start a masters in Indonesian cuisine, Batavia Corner is a good place to start.

We ventured to Batavia Corner, finding ourselves ensconced in an atmosphere that was as family-friendly as it was authentic. The dishes before us were a vivid representation of traditional Indonesian cuisine, composed with care and an eye for balance. The first dish, a comprehensive Nasi Campur, boasted a mix of savory fried chicken, rich and crunchy tempeh, and a hearty helping of rice accompanied by a medley of sambal, egg, and fresh vegetables. The second plate, an aromatic Nasi Padang, highlighted tender beef rendang and a delicate green jackfruit curry, both carried by the fluffy bed of white rice. The robust flavors of the satay, glistening with peanut sauce, promised a flavor packed with each skewered bite, while the Mie Goreng rounded out our experience with its stir-fried noodles topped with a perfectly runny fried egg, adding a velvety richness to the dish. From the warm welcome to the attentive service, the staff at Batavia Corner demonstrated an eagerness to ensure a delightful dining experience. The availability of EFTPOS, a sign of their modern amenities, was a convenience appreciated, though the option of splitting bills went untested. Each plate was a testament to value for money, reflecting the care in ingredient selection and preparation without an exorbitant price tag. In sum, Batavia Corner served as a culinary portal, each dish a chapter of a story told with spice and rice. The lively atmosphere was as pleasing as the cuisine, making it a commendable choice for both family outings and those seeking to indulge in Indonesian culinary tradition.

Went for lunch with a friend, ordered the food, a few minutes later, I asked for a glass or bottle of tap water, which in the vast majority of Perth restaurants is supplied free of charge to patrons. Not at Batavia Corner, I was told "we do not supply water, you must buy"....Really? Bad attitude and bad customer service. If we had not already paid I would have walked out. I will not return.. how hard is it to provide a simple glass of water to a customer that asks?? Business must be really bad if a restaurant can't even supply tap water. Mean and stingy. Not recommended, because of poor attitude & service

Every time I step into Batavia Corner, I feel like I'm transported back to the bustling streets of Jakarta. As someone with a deep appreciation for authentic Indonesian cuisine, this cozy spot on Albany Highway has become my go-to in East Victoria Park. On my last visit, I decided to indulge in their Nasi Goreng. It was a decision well made. The dish was a harmonious blend of spices and flavors, striking a perfect balance that tantalized my taste buds. It's rare to find a place that gets this classic dish so right, capturing the essence of Indonesia in every bite. I've also had their Beef Rendang in the past, and it's a dish I still think about. The meat was tender, the spices were rich and well-balanced – it's the kind of dish that keeps you coming back for more. And the Batavia Crispy Fish Fillet? A delightful surprise every time, whether I opt for the Barramundi or Snapper. What I particularly love about Batavia Corner is the warmth of the staff. They always make me feel welcome, adding to the overall pleasant experience. It's not just about the food; it's about the feeling of community and connection to Indonesian culture they provide. For me, Batavia Corner isn't just a restaurant; it's a little piece of Indonesia right here in Perth, a place that resonates with my love for authentic Indonesian fare.

A typical Indonesian food experience. The food is authentic and therefore not sophisticated by Western stds. I lived in Indonesia for a few years so I thought it was great! They even advertise martabak manis which must be ordered in advance.
