I am currently here and ordered the Scotch Fillet. The quality of the beef was absolutely poor. Also, the staff was not cooperative whatsoever. Didn’t offer to bring a new one or offer anything else. Would not recommend to anyone

absolute worst experience i’ve ever had. the worst costumer service i’ve ever seen. worst drinks i’ve ever gotten, i ordered a vodka lemonade and it tasted like pure water, i ordered multiple drinks after that just for them all to taste the exact same..water. i had two drinks infront of me, FULL and the girl came and cleared the table while i was in the toilet, taking my drinks with her. i then went up to the bar to ask where they went and the man i spoke to was alright and went to ask her and she rudely told me she only took empty glasses when my friend from across the table watched her take them then i was told i just had to buy a new one? i was also checking in and handing the servurity guy my ID and he was also very rude while looking me up and down. i’m so disappointed because this place had great reviews and this was the outcome of that.

The rooms are (as expected) a bit worn, but they were very clean and quite large. Exceptionally located right across from the beach, lovely helpful staff at reception, and for the price?! Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Ordered a $29 fish and chips. Portion size fit for not even a new born child. 150 lashes beer off and flat. No knife and fork given with food, you are required to wait in a line of people purchasing beers while your food goes cold just to get cutlery so you can eat your food. Waiter was young and unenthusiastic. Maybe enthusiastic about the penalty rates that he was being paid given it is a Sunday. Should’ve just gone to a local fish and chips shop who value their reputation and return customers. Could’ve ordered 3 meals for the price of one instead. On a side note - my mates who purchased a steak sandwich each say quality was less than poor. Made them feel slightly ill. Your staff aren’t even worth complaining to because it would go nowhere. Hope whoever this concerns reads this and takes action. Will never even consider coming here again.

Dear Mr Ocean Beach Hotel, I was not let in after using the bathroom at C Blu. No staff told us (30+ people, that were apart of the original count of capacity in the beer garden) that I was not allowed back in after using the bathroom at C Blu due to the long line in the beer garden bathroom. Instead of compensating for not telling us that the door will be shut and locked they angrily refused to let us in and were rude to all of us. I as well as the other 30 used to have great time here but unfortunately after that experience I believe that we as your customers will not be returning. Please sort out your security service

Honestly, this old hotel is worn out. The bathroom tiles were stained. The paint on the bedside furniture peeling. The walls are chipped. Fixtures were broken. Bedding had seen better days. The dirty elevator bumps and grinds and has a hole in its carpet. It's really disappointing that the property has been neglected. Maintenance evidently is not a priority, if my room was anything to go by (see the photos). I had booked for the week, but I checked out after one night, because it was frankly depressing. The location is very good, however, the venue was a huge letdown. Staff were polite, and handled the situation diplomatically, issuing a refund without fuss

If I could give this zero stars I would. I made a dinner reservation for my partner and I at the C-blu restaurant, as we were waking to enter we got stopped by one of the rudest security guards I have come across. He asked us to show proof of ID and then wouldn’t let us enter the restaurant unless we lined up in the Obh que ( which travelled up the street on the other side of the building ) we told him we had a reservation at the c blu which is a completely different venue for dinner… dinner! he got verbally insulting towards my partner and I and told us we couldn’t enter. We asked to see the manager since we were going to be late for our reservation, he ignored us and continued to insult us. We called the manager of c blu which then came and collected us and apologised for the inconvenience, he also mentioned that they constantly get complaints about this security guard about how rude he is to the customers. As we were walking in he continued to follow us and told my partner he will drag him out of the restaurant when he gets his food since “ he was the boss “ This made the night extremely unpleasant and will not be returning. He used degrading words and treated us like dirt, he would let groups of boys past us to enter the building but wouldn’t let us in even though we had a dinner reservation?! I am still extremely upset about it, and I’m not one to leave a bad review. Obh, my only advice for you, don’t hire arrogant , egotistical , old South African men to work for you. He sucked and needs to be fired.

I stayed at the Ocean Beach Hotel from the 19th to the 22 September 2022. The room was clean and comfortable. The noise from neighbouring rooms horrendous, very noisy. The young lady on shift did try to assist. The other receptionist did not explain that the access card needed to be entered and pulled out quickly so I was locked out of my room for hours in the early morning. I had gone to locate the noise keeping me awake. Great location if you can put up with the noise and a bit of rudeness from reception.

I stayed in room 311 the twin room last Saturday. The room was very outdated, the beds were old & there's no exhaust fan in bathoom. There were 3 bugs on one of the bed. When I informed the receptionist during checkout all she can say is sorry. I showed her a video that I took of the bugs on the bed under the blanket. She said as it's coming to summer there are a lots of bugs that get in to the room. That's ridiculous no bugs should have been on the bed. I didn't pay to sleep with the bugs. I feel disappointed as I paid the same price for an executive queen size room for a twin size room with bugs on the bed. Please don't agree to book a twin room ok cos it's not worth it. Please book else where if they don't have any normal executive room available. Definitely not recommended

Staff are great. I booked in late night no problem. Stayed an extra night which Lisa confirmed for me last minute. Cleaners polite and hard workers. My room was basic, spacious and good value. Included plunger coffee!

Ocean beach Geraldton. Staff were apologetic as they said they were very short staffed and were unable to service rooms. There was no room service as the cafe room service is outsourced to was closed. The poor lady on reception was also expected to serve at the bar, she needed to be triplets, she deserved a medal. Some people were very vocal about not being able to get a drink and left to go elsewhere. It's quite expensive to stay there so we were shocked that the room only had bog standard TV, no fox, movies etc. We've stayed in caravan parks that give a shampoo, conditioner, soap, shower cap, etc pack on arrival. It has great ocean views and the location means an easy walk to the bakery and hotels for meals and watching footy and to buying shampoo etc.

Had my 21st birthday here and Donna was so great and helpful! I have never organised an event like this before and she helped every step of the way with advice on decorations, lighting and music, and pretty much everything to do with the function. Staff were really friendly and great on the night, and we had a fantastic time. Thanks OBH <33

Super tasty Parma in the front bar with an amazing view. Lovely fresh rocket salad and chips alongside the Parma too. Would definitely go back.

Absolutely superb location.woth fantastic views. Food was absolutely epic! Compliments to the chef! The only thing holding me back from 5 stars, for somewhere that was pretty empty, the service, although super friendly and professional, was extremely slow to the point I thought they had forgotten our order. Obviously they were waiting to serve the whole table at once, however my food had gone a bit cold in the time it took to get it to the table. Flavour was on point, but would have been better at temp.

Drank and ate at the bar area. Food and wine list ok.. Needs a thorough clean and fresh paint throughout the whole premises. Great location for a drink while people watching and enjoying the glorious ocean views.

Perfect location, right on the beach front! My room was massive and had more than I needed, it was just a little old/worn out. It smelled a little when I arrived but soon aired out and was great. All the staff were really helpful and friendly.

Hi i love this hotel but please put some musc on . Wed night 7.30 having a nice beer with a friend and the atmosphere id depressing without music .

Food poisoning from chicken parmi - either don’t keep it under a heat lamp for an hour, or improve your stock control. Cheers

Don’t go here. One of the worst managed bars in Perth. I waited in line to get in on a Sunday night for 1.5 hours to only be told different information by every bouncer about what time close is. After 1.5 hours of waiting we were told to leave as they had been at capacity the whole time and weren’t and haven’t been letting in anymore people. Very disappointed as I usually liked this place.

So close to the beach! Very nice, very spacious and very comfortable room. Secure room and well attended front desk. Had a great stay over 4 days. Bus stop right outside the hotel and so easy to get around town. Great location!

Perfect venue for family gathering 🙂 Service excellent. All food came hot and delicious. Recommend the garlic pizza. Kids menu great and play mat great for even older kids.

Only there for dinner, but delicious food served by smiling, friendly and very efficient staff. The ocean view of sunset was absolutely spectacular! Thank you very much OBH!

First time at the OBH was to watch Slim Jim and the Phatts on the 22nd! Great venue, staff and service. Outdoors could do with an upgrade though. And too many steps etc. for the drunks to trip on 😂

Great place to grab a meal with friends. The bar is nice with a pool table. The restaurant has a nice view while eating. The whole building is also in a convenient location to access lots of places along the coastline.

Terrible Parma. Deep fried with tasteless red sauce and cheese. I couldn't eat more than the 2nd mouthful. Staff were fabulous and friendly, Great margarita though.

One of the best location at north cottlslow Across best beach. Winter times great for storm watching. Room really comfortable with ocean view and bath tub for two

We have stayed at the hotel twice. Have absolutely loved it both times. Fantastic location, with excellent restaurants close by. Sunsets are amazing. Meagan at reception went above and beyond to help us when we first checked in. Have already booked for our next stay.

I stayed at Ocean Beach Hotel 3 times now with more stays to come on medical appointments. For an old hotel it's not doing too bad seen hell worse. Accommodation is clean and comfortable. Both staff at the accommodation and restaurant pub are extremely friendly helpful polite, service at both accommodation restaurant and pub I give them 10+ meals at restaurant I give 10+. Other accommodation I have stayed treated me with disrespect rude meals -10 accommodation-10 dirty rooms falling apart. Will definitely return at ocean beach Hotel in couple weeks. Thanks guys looking forward to my next visit.

Great location but terrible food and way over priced. Do not order the pork belly bites unless you like pork jerky.

Rooms need reno, but are super clean and we even had ocean view. Accross the road from thr Beach, close to pubs, restaurants and cafes. A great place to stop in

They have changed the menu n probably the chef n the meals got much better, just think they need more staffs as it get very busy even during the week

Disappointing visit today, just wanted to come in for breakfast. Quite a wait on a juice that was only coming out of a bottle, no cutlery on the table or served with food had to remind waitress. The biggest disappointment was the bacon… for $5 you’d expect a decent serving but no 1 single rasher of bacon was given. When asked about it 2 different waitress came over to confirm the pricing & serving size was correct. When I expressed my dissatisfaction I was offered a side plate for me to put my 1 piece of bacon onto so she could have it back? Why would I want to give up my clearly restricted serving and what did they plan to do with it if it’s so valuable? Overall unhappy with service, value and experience. Would have better luck at Dome.

My favourite hotel in Perth. Great staff and a beautiful location. I stay here to get my beach relax on now and then. Always leave feeling re charged. Make sure to get a room higher up or with a view 😊💛

Excellent location, plenty if parking and the rooms and nice and spacious. Right on the beach front so plenty of places to walk.

The burgers I had was nice but small and served in a cardboard box no chips no napkins and was $17 I thought it would of come with chips and severed on a plate. Over priced.

I came to OBH for one night and ended up extended because the location is just amazing (clearly) and especially if your a beachy person it's so cool to just walk out the front door and the beach is right there. Though that was my only favorite part of this hotel. The hotel it's self is old (built in the early 1900's) which is cool but the mattresses look like they haven't been updated since that time. The rooms are very run down, stains, small bathroom, dirty windows, single mattress aren't even king singles and don't fit the mattress bases, the heater didn't work (which it was very cold) though they gave a old portable heater which was kind. The ladies down starts where lovely and accommodating. Oh and had room service that was average food, 6/10 (but everyone's taste buds are different). Plenty of parking too! All in all it just seems to need a cosmetic update! Would definitely go back when it's updated.

Excellent quality accommodation and service so glad I found this place to stay so close to city from any country town in WA. Keep up the good work OBH

Went to the restaurant Easter Sunday for a birthday, lovely view, didn’t understand why we were only given 2 hours to eat ,when there were plenty of tables 💁‍♀️ I ordered the grilled fish a bit dry, and my son ordered the chicken parmigiana and he said it was overcooked. Will try again later down the track to see if the food is any better. But had a great time with the family.

Rooms were basic and large. Great location. Sitting here now, 7 o'clock on a Saturday morning, listening to a whipper snipper chew the other 3 points away.

We don’t mind paying good money for good food & service however paying hard earned coin for poor service dry ribs and tasteless fish dishes is not on our menu nor will we return to a venue that solely relays on its coast views to draw unsuspecting punters in for lacklustre offerings….

Nice place to spend the afternoon

Quiet and comfortable on a Monday evening, and a great place to be warm and dry during bad weather!

Rather intimidating looking martial arts type security. Bar staff too young to have any real life experience other than “rules say”. No wonder 3/4 empty on a Friday night for once was an iconic location.

A trip down memory lane. This was our pub of choice back in the 70's... so great to see so many young people doing the same. OBH still has the best sunsets in the world.

Room was a bit dated but big and comfortable. Receptionist was very friendly. Went to hotel for dinner and we had the most delicious lamb cutlets and the ribs which were so tender and tasty . Excellent dinner.

had awful interactions with multiple staff members. The bar staff ignored us when we were the only people at the bar. The manager was extremely rude to us. Will not be coming back. I’ve always loved this place but no wonder why CBH is more popular at the moment. Bad staff interactions include: - waiting to buy a drink whilst not busy, bartenders have a chat and ignore me waiting. - when entering the bar whilst there was no line, I was instructed to turn around and walk through the designated fencing for 0 reason by security. - Whilst waiting to go to the upstairs bar in a hallway, the manager rudely told us to leave the hallway to then open the upstairs bar, he did not need to say that.

Terrible terrible experience. Came here for drinks with a few friends for my birthday and after receiving a drink and the wind spilt it over, the staff rudely laughed at me and no one helped me to clean any of it up let alone offer for another drink. The staff down stairs would roll their eyes at me and my friends when we ordered drinks and would not serve us. One girl was even standing at the bar on her phone when they could clearly see a huge queue forming for drinks. Very disappointing and will not be returning.
