Fantastic road trip, could easily spend all day there. The best bit was the warm showers to wash the sand off. A big plus for those with kids.

Can see the appeal of the place of the weather was good, there is a natural reef ledge which breaks the waves making the place ideal for young families / introducing children to the ocean especially with the life guards on duty. (Sadly the weather wasn't the best when we were there) Be mindful of the cross current as you get closer to the ledge and noticed several urchins on the reef ledge which could be a painful lesson for the non-vigalent walker / inexperienced ones

One of the very best dog beaches in the world. Multiple access points. Plenty of space to run, play and swim.

Yanchep Beach is a long sandy beach to the north of Perth. It's situated within Yanchep National Park, which has lakes and caves but no camping. You can access the beach via car or walk from the Two Rocks Golf Club, about 10 minutes away by foot.

This is a nice little beach to catch the sunset at! It's absolutely gorgeous and there is a little reef surround it. Hence the name Yanchep Lagoon! On a nice sunny day the water looks so pretty and blue!

Beautiful place to visit, not many people, nice little café Orion to lunch at by the beach or another little café closer to the beach that I have yet to venture to

Amazing place, breathtakingly beautiful makes for a gorgeous day out in summer or even winter :) the reef is amazing for snorkeling and so gentle. White sand and gentle waves makes it great and safe for families. With the local cafe just above and lots of parking available it some of our favourite places to go the children love it :) white sands and turquoise waters :)

It is a beautiful place to visit. The Lagoon is formed by a reef that acts as a barrier between the ocean and beach. On a calm day, the water is calm and safe for small children and families. On a day when the wind and tide are up, a strong current washes from the south end to the north. It becomes quite difficult to stand, let alone swim against it. Be careful of snakes in the sand dunes. Do not place your belongings close to the dunes fence. The only things I don't like, are that there is no water fountain, or shade on the beach. Just be prepared, bring your own water and shade if you're staying a while. The SLS club has hot water in the changerooms. Oh and please don't ride on the reef. Walking on it is not encouraged either.

Big loooove for Yanchep Lagoon. Great for snorkelling, surfing, playing with the kids at the beach - there's public restrooms across the road and a cafe and a playground.

Beautiful patrolled beach with parking and changing facilities. Strong rip can develop in the lagoon although the reef should stop any tendency to whisk you out to sea!
