Haven’t been there for a Long time, but it is still fantastic to see it’s still running. Had the best time riding these cute trains. Staff are Amazing, Warm & Friendly. Great facilities for a picnic or Family event. Highly recommended.

This is a fun place to bring the family. $6,$3 adults/kids. Make sure you check the times (see photo) as the boarding station alternates between Kent st Weir and Castledare (off Fern Rd) The Kent St Weir location has the added benefits of excellent facilites for a day out - free BBQs, some shaded tables, kids playground, a cafe, toilets, river access and walking tracks

We took our 2-year-old for the experience, and us adults had just as much fun. There were 4 trains running, and the drivers were fun and friendly. The scenery in places is lovely. There are BBQ areas and tables outside, which would be great for birthday parties. It is next to the Canning River, so you'll see people supping & kayaking through the river. There is an enclosed dog park and a Cafe.

Visited on a summer day for a 4yo bday party and had a great time. There are expansive park areas to run around, shaded bbq areas, the creek to explore (or kayak through) and of course the train ride. Went on two rides and adults and kids loved the experience. Definitely coming back again and hope to hire some kayaks next time.

Really great fun the volunteers running it were strict with enforcing safety rules which is good. It was a PAIN how you can't pay with a Visa card or cash as a lot of older folks take their grandkids & with don't understand their QI payment system?

What a magical place for the family! Beautiful miniature train track that's really good for kids & big kids alike. The train travels through the wetlands and across some mini stream bridges for a decent 15min trip - Amazing! The surrounding park is well thought out - has an awesome canoe area, tons of play space and equipment for kids as well as a fenced dog park area. To top it all off there's a stellar cafe for coffee and delicious food. Highly recommend!

One of Perth's best kept secrets, tucked away amongst the natural vegetation along the Canning River. So many volunteers keep this childhood adventure alive.

Loved the train rides, as did my nephew. Bit of a line, but you could go as many times as you want for $20 if you didn't mind a bit of a wait (not too long, though). The only downside I found is that the surrounding park was filled with unrestrained dogs (never seen so many in my life), even though there was a fenced off area specifically for them. The children's jungle Jim was great except for the portion that needed repairs and even though it had been fenced off some children had pulled down the barrier and started using it and it was very hard explaining to a 2 1/2 year old that it was unsafe & he couldn't go in that section.

$45 for two parents and a child now? Used to be $15 to take the family for a trip. Change in pricing takes away the good feeling for me :---( Please introduce a cheaper option

This is a nice day out if you have young ones. Suggest making a day of it with a picnic and have a train ride. The little trains are different, some petrol driven and some steam. Try to get the steam if possible. The blokes that operate it take it pretty seriously, like the real thing! It can get pretty busy, so expect a wait. The rides last about 15 minutes and from memory, cost about $6 for adults. Make sure you check where the trains depart from on the day you are going, as they alternate stations. There is also a kiosk that serves food also in the park.
