We arrived near sunset and had the place almost all to ourselves! There is a big wooden bridge over the beautiful river. Witnessed a canoeist rowing down the rapids, it was amazing how he manoeuvre the canoe over the rapids and rocks among! The rapids made the water white and form bubbles that looked like ice bergs from far. Grew dark quickly so we did not explore the forest paths. Looks like a nice place for trekking if you have time.

This is one of our families favourite places. Walks and views that everyone enjoys, regardless of two or four legs. It's very accessible, heaps of parking and close to our favourite place for coffee and cake shalom house. Bring your kids, dogs, horse, chairs, food or drinks. Come in the morning, afternoon or sunset. This place is a real gem and phone reception is awful so ENJOY

One of the most beautiful parks in the Perth region. Extensive trail network with a variety of terrain, great views, and dog-friendly. Well worth a trip from the city. Parking can get hectic during peak times (a lot of it is on dirt so can get rough some of the year) and has a steep single-lane entrance so take your time and be patient.

What an absolute gem of a place! Plenty of parking, serene surroundings, tracks for all levels of fitness, cute picnic spots and a flowing, frothy stream in winter. Great spot to take the kids or lovely romantic backdrop for 2 for a leisurely stroll.

Bells Rapids Park is all year round fun and adventurous destination for all the ages. I personally prefer Winter as the abundance of water makes this area and surroundings lively and spectacular to watch. The park has lots of seating arrangements, barbecue facilities, and a public toilet too. Enough of hiking and walk trail. Nearby Waterfall, Wood Bridge, and a lookout are the other added attractions.

Beautiful place to visit, fast flowing after rains and plenty of parking in main area. Narrow roads so be aware of oncoming traffic as roads were eroded on the sides. Toilets available but peg ur nose it was a bit smelly, but inside were clean and flushing. Dog friendly. Well worth the drive and packing a picnic

We went to this place 2 week ago, it was fresh and released. Good for walk, kids, family and friends. If you have small car, this time while raining, not recommended. Otherwise, it nice places to visit. It also have waterfalls as well near by but we did not get in because it was rain and We looking forward to go back again. 🌿

Love going to Bells Rapids at any time, but winter is best!! Wonderful to see so many people enjoying this beautiful spot. Dogs playing in the water. Kids exploring nature out in the fresh air. I am lucky to live just a short drive away and visit often. Perfect!!

Beautiful spot, perfect for a picnic or a walk. Parking here can be a challenge during busy times. Toilets are available but don’t recommend using them as they were dirty and very smelly on our last visit. We recommend the goat walk whilst visiting here.

It was a beautiful Sunday morning in August when we arrived at 10 am, and it was already quite busy. The parking lot was packed, with families accompanied by small children and some with their dogs. There were restrooms nearby as well. We walked along the rocky riverbank and crossed a wooden bridge, witnessing many people enjoying canoeing. Opting to head uphill, we found both a longer and a shorter route available. We chose the shorter path. The journey had two challenging rocky ascents, but they were manageable. Personally, I believe that winter is the ideal time to visit this place, and I plan to bring my family here in the future, earlier in the morning. If you prefer an easier path, you can always opt for the easier route.

As a nature lover, this place serves the purpose of hiking along the trail, photography, day picnic, relaxation, and a mini gateway from the town. The rivers, the flowers, the bridge, and the view is incredible. Wear trek-pants if you are hiking and sneakers are recommended for comfort.

Beautiful place, nice walking trails and spots in the shallows where the kids can play. Also a great place to walk your dogs. Usually an icecream truck on site.

he This place is perfect for hiking, if you choose the long path, which starts at the bridge that crosses the river, you will have 3km of many ups and downs and a section with large and small rocks that you must cross to reach the bridge again where the route ends I suggest bringing water and be careful on the descents because they are very steep and you could slip! We saw many dogs with their owners, as well as families! The place is beautiful and you could see the train go by! πŸš‚

Popular place on a sunny Saturday as expected. Roads to carpark need maintenance, very narrow and lots of holes. Toilet block was ok. Goat walk as expected had some steep up and downs but beautiful especially as we could take our dog.

Just did the GOAT hike in Bells Rapid and truly enjoyed the experience. Beautiful location close to the river! Both river scenes and bush!! Beautiful!!

Beautiful spot. Bring a picnic and water if you’re planning to spend a few hours here. Toilets on site. Great place for a dip in the water on a hot day. Very chilled when we went here.

Beautiful walking trails and easy access to crossing the bridge. There is plenty of parking spaces and had access to a toilet in the main area. It can get very dry and hot during the summer period. I would recommend bringing an eski of cold drinks and shade.

A great hike. Walk the low trail beside the river, for good shade, and an easier walk, or take the Foat trail for a better workout & great views! Get there early, as it gets busy after 8am. Toilets are pretty feral, so be prepared 🀣

Great for picnics or just a little trek out of town. Relaxing with beautiful birds and lovely calming rapids. Nice places to hike and great for the kids to burn off some energy.

If you're after a shorter hike (2.5km or 3km) with beautiful views, hill climbs and is dog friendly, you can't go past Bells Rapids. There are heaps of places to park, set up a picnic, go for a swim or hike. Plus, there are public toilets which are well maintained.

  • 4/5 Emma E. 10 months ago on Google
Beautiful place to visit! Got the option of an easier or harder walk. Weekends can be very busy with a lot of families with kids. If you, like myself, want to enjoy the area without all the kids I suggest going early morning

The rapids are a site to see this time of year. There are plenty of families and pets out walking and picnicing on sunny days. Take wellies or hiking shoes as it can be a bit muddy. Great walking trails for those who want to do some tramping through the hills.

Very busy. Limited parking and narrow access roads. No convenient walking oath aling river for mobility impaired. Water was running fast and relatively high following recent rains. In summer water levels can be very low. No shops etc so bring your own water.

One of my favourite hiking spots! Stunning views and only round the corner from the Swan Valley! Dog friendly but if you have a small dog like me (maltese shitzu) be mindful you might have to carry them over some of the boulders.

Beautiful location in the Swan Valley any time of the year. Great hiking. The hill is a bit steep and slippery so keep that in mind πŸ˜‰

Good trails around the area. There was lots of people on the day and the weather was nice too. Sounds of the water rushing down was quite soothing if you just sit by the river shore along the rocks and gaze at the water flow.

Great place to hike. There's a few trail options. Take the long walk track, it's huge a huge steep hill with amazing views. Look down at the rapids from the very top. Goes in a loop and comes back joining up with the easy trail and goat path trail. Few paths underwater from the rain but makes for a more fun off track adventure.

  • 5/5 Olly W. 2 years ago on Google
Great view with some good walking. If you choose the goat trail then be in for some steep walking with great views. Dogs are allowed off lead can have a real roam around the bush either side of the paths

Had an awesome day at the Bells Rapids Park, the place is clean and well maintained. The view is amazing and great for hiking, walking and hanging out with friends for a picnic. Best place to relax and chill during summer. Around 30 minutes from the city when driving.

  • 5/5 Adelle H. 2 years ago on Google
Easy walking trail with loads of beautiful flora. Easy to setup along the river for a picnic. Great little spot for a day trip within the Perth area.

  • 5/5 Ariza N. 2 years ago on Google
Great place to be in nature, and allow your dog to play in the water, but make sure they can swim and follow directions. Summer is snake season, so snake avoidance is a must. Off-lead control is also a must. Pick your times to go, absolutely a pleasure during the week, but very busy over weekends and school holidays. You might even catch the ice cream man too.
