Absolutely 5 star experience. From check-in the staff are attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a huge selection of food and Italian inspired cuisine. The rooms are large, comfortable and above all luxury. I feel like every dollar I spent to stay at this hotel was worth it.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. Rooms are spacious what is quite nice. Valet parking guys do a very good job. But other service is pretty bad. We had to call minimum twice to get anything for example water or adapter delivered to the room. We had to wait for 40 minutes to get beach towels and finally went to reception and waited there to make it happen. Looks like they are too busy and have not enough staff at reception and forget anything they say they would do. For at the restaurant is quite good so worth to go for dinner.

Really liked my stay here. Hotel is in a great spot and the rooms are BIG! In fact the whole hotel feels spacious and it feels really new. Bar area downstairs was nice but service was a bit slow (probably not their fault Post COVID). Pool was beautiful. Would stay again! ⭐️

My husband and I stayed here over the weekend and it’s honestly one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at! The views of the city & river from our room were incredible. The rooms were beautiful and very clean. Staff were very welcoming and polite to us throughout our whole stay. The buffet breakfast was also delicious with plenty of both hot and cold options. We will definitely be staying here again!!

Delightful hotel, extremely well-appointed and spacious rooms, typical of this first-class brand. The only slight irritation was the failure of housekeeping to replace coffee pods and milk on a daily basis. One should not need to have to ask for them at reception. That said, our request was speedily dealt with, accompanied by a fulsome apology.

Our first time at the Westin Perth and it won't be our last as the room and service has been outstanding. Our room has beautiful city views and is very well appointed. The executive lounge is well appointed and the food outstanding. There is so much to choose from for breakfast and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a very comfortable stay.

I have ambassador status with Marriott and spend over 500 nights globally with them and can hands down day this property is one of the best if not the best in the world. Garum breakfast is world class, lounge is fantastic. Rooms are generous sized, luxurious finishes and great views. Excellent service throughout. The management of this hotel should be teaching other Marriott properties how to run a place.

Not really what you expect from a 5-star hotel. 1. Our check-in time was supposedly 3pm, we arrive 1.5hrs later and the room wasn’t ready. Fine, we were happy to wait for a couple of minutes, I signed the hotel check in papers and kept my cool as they honoured my request to be placed in a high floor. I left to park, thinking the room will be ready - about 4:45pm, the room wasn’t ready, we were given drink vouchers so that we can wait in the lounge. We got called after a couple of minutes - finally, a room, to my surprise, 10 floors lower, at this point I was too tired to argue - feels like I was penalized for wanting to check-in even though this was hours after any standard hotel’s check-in time. You don’t get service like this even at a 3-star hotel 🤦🏻‍♀️. 2. I clarified check-out time - my email reservation stated 12pm but I wanted to double check. I was told it was 11am, I said oh wait, I think it’s 12 and looked at my email. I was now given a “complimentary” 12pm check-out 🤷🏻‍♀️. 3. Elevators are toooo slow for a new building, even late at night when you’re the only one around. 4. Buffet breakfast was okay - nothing spectacular. 5. The rest is what you expect for what you pay for - spacious room, comfy bed (although my partner had a hard time sleeping with his pillows), good design but nothing to come back for. I’d much rather stay at the Ritz.

I joined my husband on his business trip and loved this experience. The hotel is new, modern and very clean. The staff was excellent 👌 very attentive and friendly. The room was very big and the views were beautiful. The artwork in the hotel is stunning. The hotel is in walking distance to the big Hay street mall which has great shops. There is a few good restaurants nearby with a variety of different cuisines. It is clo6to public transport and there is a lot of parking nearby. My only complaint would be something that is just a personal gripe, when I used my credit card in the lounge I was asked and charged an extra percentage on my bill. Yes I know it is because the banks charge you as a company extra but I did not need to pay it in the restaurants by the hotel. Just raise you prices to accommodate the fee so that it reflects the charge. It detracts from the 5 star experience. We loved the hotel and will definitely go back.

Where to begin. Sparkling wine on arrival is a nice touch. The hotel staff are really friendly and helpful. After check in we looked at the room, the view wasn't anything spectacular but the room was lovely. The building is dripping in beautiful art work that inspired the creative in me. This was the best part for me.

Overall I had a comfortable stay at the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet, spacious, very clean and it was indeed a bonus to have a great view of the city as well. However, as a solo female traveller, I had a scary encounter with a male stranger who asked me which floor level I was going to and then followed me into the hotel lift on 8th October at night. He told me that he was going to follow me to my floor level (which was level 16) and his friend from level 17 would then meet him at my floor level. This did not make any sense to me at all, thus I decided not to swipe my access card in the lift when I found out that he did not have an access card (to his floor level). Subsequently, I pressed the lift button open and asked him to exit the lift to wait for his friend at the reception. He seemed rather disappointed at the time saying "Oh what?!" and left the lift. I then informed the receptionist about the incident when I got to my room because I was worried that this man could be following other hotel guests into the lift. I did not hear back afterwards from the receptionist that night and decided to ring the receptionist the following night to follow up on this as I felt rather shaken from the experience. I was then informed that he was actually a hotel guest by the receptionist but still found it very odd that he did not have an access card to his floor level and wanted to follow me to my floor level. Overall, I am concerned about the security screening at the hotel, thus decided to share my experience.

This hotel has the potential to be 5 star but the service and a few room features let it down. We stayed in a Deluxe Family room, which has a king bed plus a separate room tucked behind the bathroom with two single beds for the kids. The room itself was a wonderful size and the layout was great, especially with kids. Their room had a view to the river and its own TV. We loved the full height windows and view. The beds were comfy and there was also a couch in the room. The room had a deep bath as well as a shower. The breakfast included was great, amazing food and the service staff in the restaurant very good. The pool area is small but also nice, the pool is heated but only mildly. There is a heated outdoor shower to rinse and warm up in by the pool. The lobby and lounge area is gorgeous, would like to come back and have afternoon tea or drinks and relax in this area. Downsides were that the room could have been cleaner, there were flecks of chocolate on the table and the windows had hand prints and smudges on them. The room was booked for 4 but we were only provided with 2 towels (and only 2 complimentary waters) so had to call for extra towels and wait 1/2hr at least for them to arrive. Also ticked in the check in form that I'd like the newspaper in the morning but none was delivered so I called up and asked for one, was told it would be delivered but nothing had come by the time we checked out. The rooms also need a lamp or nightlight, at least in the family rooms so a light can be kept on for small children. If you're booking this room with kids I recommend you pack an LED night light. The lights in the rooms are too bright for the whole night (even the reading light) and if you leave a light on in the bathroom instead the privacy screen between the bath and main bed lets too much light in to the main room. The curtains can only be fully open or fully closed due to the electronics so you can't just let a bit of the night light in and deal with it that way. It's also weird that the toilet doesn't have its own light so at night you have to go in total darkness or have the whole bathroom light on just to use the loo! The bar fridge is empty (no mini bar) which is great if you want to bring your own drinks but if you dont then be prepared to wait more than half an hour for anything ordered via room service. Limited information was provided at check in as well, and I was only given extra information (other than here's the room key), if I asked (i.e where is the pool, where is breakfast). The hotel website has little information about parking options as does the email sent a couple of days before check-in about planning your visit. The things that let it down could be fixed with some extra care and attention, hopefully this hotel can sort itself out as it has potential. Until then it doesn't have the bang for the buck that you pay

Nice hotel, really nice clean rooms and they are sound proof too so you can crank the music. The restaurant Gurum has an amazing buffet breakfast. However the room service was terrible, it took over an hour to get a cheese plate which was two small pieces of cheese and some crackers for $29. They failed to make the room up for us on our second night, we had to call reception just for some clean towels and toiletries, I expected a bit better than that for nearly $600 per night.

Stayed in a family room for 4 nights in June 2022. Room is quite spacious and modern looking. Only basic amenities are provided, anything more has to be requested. First night heater not working. I informed the reception and was told that nothing can be done as they are short of staff to fix it and only thing was to send me an extra blanket. So we slept in a really cold room for the night and my children woke up the next morning with a cold. Second day i found a receipt dated March 2022 under the couch. It was right at the edge where it is quite visible. The housekeeping standard is really questionable. Even after informing the reception about this the receipt was still there when I returned to the room in the evening. While looking around to see if the room was cleaned up I found an inflated balloon under the bed. Then my biggest shock was when I discovered that my opened packet of Tim tam that was in the mini fridge had 3 pieces missing. I can’t imagine someone touching my food especially during these COVID times. And if 3 pieces of biscuits can go missing then all the valuables that we have in the room will be at risk. I informed the manager about all these and I was told that the housekeeping is done by third party which they have no control over. And they are unable to explain how the Tim tams went missing. I was given a free night for the terrrible experience. So just be warned of these unpleasant things that could happen which is is beyond their control.

Nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in in Australia. Beautiful room. Especially love the automatic blinds roll up. Breakfast was a nice spread, whole cheese wheel and real honeycomb. Lounge is quiet, uncomfortably too quiet. Probably nothing the hotel could do about it. But some subtle music may help. Location is central but off the the quiet side. Perth is quiet in general so it could get scarily silence walking back to the hotel at times. Feel like Covid times.

Just had 3 night’s staycation in a Clubroom. Lovely hotel great position just two blocks for the shops. It was such a relaxing place to stay at and enjoy- plenty of lovely comfortable seating and a beautiful warm pool to swim in - I’m totally chilled and relaxed. Breakfast in Garum was 100% best breakfast I have had in a hotel. The choice was fantastic and the cooked was hot and plenty of it well done as we always find the hot breakfasts served can tend to be cold when you start to eat them. Garum for an evening meal well that was brilliant too and I have covered that in a differen Review. We will certainly go back and the club was well worth the extra- evening canapés included hot options, cold meats and cheeses and salads with small deserts- quality help yourself wine and spirits you needed to ask for - again service was spot on everywhere in the hotel. It was the little things that made it stand out. By the pool the lemon/lime infused water and sun cream - a step above. Also the hair and body wash were quality products in the room - room was large and very comfortable and bed was very good - excellent nights sleep. 10/10 for The Westin - we Will certainly book in again

One of my favorite hotel in Perth. They probably want to keep up on the maintenace of the equipments. My last 5 days stay one and half week before, the blinds control is not functioning properly. The tap in the shower is loose. I didn't inform the concierges cos I believe the morning room makeup services would have noticed them. Second reason is because my previous feedback went no where. No reply or response or acknowledgement.

Hotel and room itself is stunning, yet service lets this hotel down. Room was not serviced as I slept in late, I expect a 5 star hotel to service my room after 10h30. No restaurant on Sunday, yip they direct you to a 10 minute walk to a mall with takeaways on a Sunday night, good luck if you are an older person, or otherwise indisposed. Lounge area, the service is really shocking. Unattentive staff, you shall find that you need to seek them out, even when you are the only guest sitting in the lobby to order a drink. They are always busy with something else. This hotel is not 5 star despite the claim, they need to seriously jack their service levels up.

A hotel with awesome service level. Any question/s we come up with, the service staff were able to answer without hesitation. Daily breakfast is great at their restaurant, Garum, too.

Beautiful hotel in Perth, rooms are well appointed, very friendly and helpful staff. Had amazing views out over the city. I would have to rate the breakfast available in Garum restaurant as one of the best I have ever had at a hotel, huge range to choose from and everything was fresh and beautifully prepared.

Overall, I was really pleased with my stay at the hotel. I had high expectations and I wasn't disappointed. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The amenities seemed high quality. the location was very central and accessible without being too noisy or crowded. The breakfast was the highlight. One of the best buffet breakfasts I have had. Very good food and the service was very attentive. Regarding the service, though it was always friendly and polite, there were some consistent hiccups: - When checking in the record indicated it was just for one guest, though it was actually for two. - When using the valet parking service, there were delays despite providing more than an hour notice. - The room was not made up though we were out all day and we made sure the privacy light was not on. We had to call down to request to have the room turned over late in the day. - When checking in, I made sure that, though the reservation records indicated it was for one, that there would be two people dinning each morning. The staff member (Lawrence) assured me that there would be no problem and it was indeed included in the special offer. That said, at both morning's visits to the restaurant, the staff were unsure and confused when the two of us arrived. Upon check out the reception staff initially noted that I needed to pay extra for the second person's breakfast, though when I explained, the did rescind the line item on the invoice. Overall, I would certainly stay here again. I would recommend it.

I'm just back from a week staying here in a family room. The Westin is a modern, nicely styled hotel. Our family room was huge, split into two areas on either side of the bathroom, with dual aspect views of the Swan and the city. We had a few small niggles regarding housekeeping, which after speaking with Shaun and Monique, the front office manager and housekeeping manager, were resolved and enhanced our stay. It's always worth raising issues constructively with management during your stay anywhere. That allows for resolution and a better overall view of service, etc. If you're a family of 4 or a group of 4, then I would definitely recommend checking out these rooms. You can view the floor plans on their website. I would certainly return to The Westin next time we visit Perth.

Great Bonvoy hotel in Perth as it’s my usual place to stay. Rooms are well sized and clean. Service at bar a bit slow but manageable. Staff quite accommodating and helpful. I’ll be back.

This hotel is so well appointed. The staff are super polite and attentive. The rooms are beautifully done and have noticeable ventilation that enables a perfect nights rest, in addition to the beds being perfect firmness vs soft. Restaurant Garum is definitely worth visiting. Wish I could have stayed longer.

As a lover of staycations I'm rather surprised that it has taken Mrs C and myself so long to try out the Westin in Perth. From check in on the Friday, to the express check out on Sunday morning, everything was perfect. Large, well appointed room with a Nespresso maker and a fully stocked mini bar. Something of a rarity these days. The pool area is small, as you expect from a city hotel and it was very refreshing to have a dip after a long day. One of the evenings we had a fabulous meal at Garum, again, and the buffet breakfast has so many options that you won't need lunch. The Westin is a hotel I would happily come back to. I recommend you try it for yourself.

1 star service for a 5 star hotel. Beware if coming with kids. - Booked directly through hotel website and requested for a baby cot in our booking. Checked-in at 8.30pm, no cot was in the room. Only after a total of 3 calls and more than an hour later did the cot arrive. No apologies from concierge. - Our baby vomited in the cot at 2am. Called concierge to ask for housekeeping to come immediately to change cot and clean up vomit on the floor. Again, it took a long time and I had to call a second time to remind them again. Housekeeping came with a new cot and nothing to clean the floor. What's going on with their communication?? Housekeeping left and came back with just a dry cloth to wipe the vomit from the carpet, leaving the whole room smelling of vomit. We were exhausted by then. - No kids cutlery at all in the whole hotel, which is shocking for a 5-star hotel. It was most unacceptable that we had to wait such a long time for the baby cot when it was already requested at point of booking, and it's not like we had an early check-in. Complained about this to concierge, breakfast team, no remedy whatsoever. Shocking standards of service for Westin, truly disappointing. Should have been forewarned when my friend told me she waited 3h for check-in (not an early check-in by the way) with her baby in tow.

This was our first time at the Westin and it was wonderful. We stayed in a king club room, with a fantastic view from level 25. The room size was great and the bathroom was well appointed (although not particularly sound proofed!) We were pleased to have a bath which we weren’t expecting too. The bed was comfy, but there was more partner disturbance than I would have liked. The club lounge was great, with a good selection of hors doeuvres and drinks from 5pm. The buffet breakfast in Garum was generous too. We will return.

The Westin could be everything you'd want from a great city hotel in a brand new curated precinct with restaurants and bars, let down completely by the incompetence and complete apathy of the staff. The exception was the front desk, with quick friendly service but beyond that it was completely amateur and haphazard. The room service during my week stay was spotty everyday, and on 2 days the room was not made up, every other day the room coffee cups, milk or spoons or coffee pods or sugar or milk was not replaced or towels not provided. You'd think service staff have a checklist, should be easy right!? The lobby cafe in the hotel called Haven was more like Hell, I had to dedicate a separate review for that as the service was non existent, appalling. Garum again has so much potential, alas the service is astonishingly haphazard, food not delivered, 30 minutes to bring my wine, served up after my meal. Frankly the staff have no idea, the poor manager at Garum made up for it, but he is terribly let down by his team, who don't seem to miss an opportunity to disappoint and screw up. Wow so much potential absolutely wasted by something very fixable, if you can't change the people then change the people! There was clearly a lack of middle management present. The porters at the door were equally incompetent or inexperienced, I fumbled my way through the two large automated entrance doors that seem to have a will of their own, and after I made my way through, there was a feeble attempt by one if the porters that lifted his head up from his phone to assist with my one piece of hand luggage into my car, ignoring the large bags, he seemed so pleased with himself that he was my knight in shining armour, hopeless really. Come on Westin, prove me wrong, really I want this fantastic hotel to succeed in my neighbourhood, I want to recommend you to my colleaques and friends but fix your rubbish service!! Until then I can't recommend vou, I have a reputation to protect something you should care about as well. Tip: Avoid Garum and Haven in the hotel... Whilst there are some positive reviews there is a persistent undercurrent and common thread of terrible service, some reviewers apparently have come to accept this as normal.

My husband and I had a quick vacation and the hotel is absolutely beautiful, but we had one bad experience. We came back to the hotel one evening after being out all day and our room had been left open by housekeeping with our things inside. We went down and reported it immediately to reception and we were told they would contact management right away and call us. We waited in our room for half an hour before getting over waiting and going up to the pool. When we returned from the pool, we went back down to reception to check if the issue had been reported to management and we were told that they checked surveillance and no one had been in our room after housekeeping before we returned. Which was a relief and we had checked and nothing was missing, but there were no further apologies offered and no suggestions of compensation for the inconvenience. I didn't really appreciate how that was handled, seeing as it was an invasion of privacy. Other than that it was a lovely place to stay, that just put us off a bit. There was also rubbish left at our room door by housekeeping which was reported twice before it was eventually collected.

Excellent rooms and location and car parking availability. Gym and spa well equipped and there’s a nice feeling of space and airiness with the whole hotel. You will be spoiled with breakfast choices available from their buffet. My only personal wish is that their bar lounge could be of a more international standard with what’s offered just cause I put emphasis personally on this area.

Fantastic stay at the Westin! We got upgraded to a suite that's nearly the size of our house: dining room for 8, living room, office, kitchen with butler entrance, massive bedroom and huge bathroom. Great location and best staff! Would HIGHLY recommend and stay again!

I am quite frankly very disappointed with so many negative reviews from people completing QT in the Westin, in Perth. And I speak from experience, having completed three previous 14 day QT periods in Hotels across Australia and Israel, before arriving in Perth for my fourth. The rooms here are by far the biggest and best I’ve experienced, and the food better than any of my other stays. Remember, this a QT hotel serving an important purpose for WA, and under the circumstances i am happy to accept some of the middle of the road meals we might get for this short period-of time. We should all be very grateful for having the opportunity to be able to return to WA (when many others can’t) then get great rooms with wonderful big windows and views, more than friendly Westin Staff, security and medicos, and all at a cost of $215 a night, when room rates are usually $270 to $300 without meals in non Covid times. Chins up people, you are doing OK, so have some respect for the good people and staff at this facility!

Terrible hotel with even worse staff. Food is inedible. Bathroom sink was blocked and had almost a full head of hair down it that had to be removed by ourselves. Toilet smelt of urine so clear that nothing is being cleaned properly. When called down to the reception and asked if the room had been cleaned the man said “uh I guess so.” There should be no guessing around hotel cleanliness. Staff don’t communicate with each other and gives the impression that no one knows what’s going on. Behavior and respect towards the guests is atrocious and non-existent. No fridge or means of eating anything in the hotel room. This is NOT a 5 star hotel!! Do not waste your money by staying here.

Very good clean hotel. I have stayed 14 days for hotel quarantine. Rooms are big. View is amazing you couple easily see the Perth city from level 24. But we did not like the food taste. Tv is located beautiful you could a just easily from different angles. I highly recommend this hotel. We did not get bored during our stay. Breakfast was very nice.

Awesome right from driving into the front door, great service, food, location set in lovely tree lined street with many beautiful old buildings and historical Churches around. Also many other eating options close by and entertainment highly recommended but be prepared to pay for this level of service; )

Got charged full price for a meal reservation we were not able to attend. I understand no show fees and proportional booking fees but being charged full price with more than 5hrs notice is not right!!. Will not bother rebooking.

I stayed at the Westin Perth for 3 nights while traveling alone. The employees are very friendly and the rooms are very clean. Mr. Alston at the front desk was always smiling and friendly. He gave me specific information about other Perth attractions when I asked him where the cash exchange machine was located. I am not a good English speaker but he speaks slowly and clearly.I was anxious about traveling alone, but he told me about his visit to Japan, which made it fun and made my trip to Perth even more wonderful. I will be back again. Thank you.

Room was clean, modern and comfortable. Food is good. My parking ticket was double charged when existing car park, after i specifically asked about it. I understand a lot front staff are young and probably new hires due to Covid. But they need to be properly trained.

Impressive! We booked a Deluxe Family room (1 King bed, 2 single beds) for our young family of 4. It was our first time to try The Westin in Perth. This hotel is beautiful, very elegant and generous with room size! Staff were very attentive and kind too. We got buffet breakfast at The Garum included with our accommodation and it was impressive yet again! Lots of good food choices, kids loved and looked forward to breakfast treats! The hotel’s pool area is also a very relaxing place, the vibe while we were there was quiet and serene. I had a chance to meditate a bit! And of course, The Bodhi spa is located at this hotel so another great thing to include in plans, especially for mums! I would definitely love to stay here again for an anniversary or any special day. Great to be a Marriot Bonvoy member for added perks!

With two grievances, this was a lovely stay. The room was generously sized, with good seating options to relax and to work. The bed was very comfortable - I was out like a light every night. Service was friendly and excellent. It had a number of eating and drinking options at the hotel itself and a good diversity of options near by. It was not noisy despite being close to the hospital or fire station. The two grievances were cleaning and the mini bar. Despite having a mini bar voucher and having my credit card details, there was nothing (absolutely nothing) in the mini bar, forcing me to pay $6 delivery fee if I wanted a simple drink or go out to find somewhere to buy a drink. Not great when you get into Perth late in the evening, as I did. As for cleaning, I cannot work out what the story was. When I checked in, one of the two bins had rubbish in it. They did not clean my room days because my privacy light was apparently on (I made sure it was not on on the second day) and had to speak to them - to their credit, they did service the room after I spoke to them. The next day, the rubbish bin was not emptied when the room was serviced. The toilet was not obviously dirty but, in the light, there looked like urine stains on the floor in front of the toilet and drip stains on the inside of the toilet cover. Hopefully, I just lucked out with my experiences with cleaning - for every other reason, I would stay here again.

Had our daughter’s wedding then stayed the night. We had a ball everything was really up to a high standard. Great room with great city views. Food was delightful. On the downside take your credit card with you as they insist on seeing it - electronic is not accepted

While being 'contained' in a single room for a fortnight is not what you call a holiday, our Quarantine period was made bearable by the very comfortable and large room, the incredibly good food (given delivery in disposable containers and dropped off at door) and the helpfulness and kindness of the Hotel's staff. They went the extra mile to keep us sane! Thanks so much :-)

Stayed here during Australia Day 2023. Room was lovely, great view, well fitted, clean. Staff was welcoming too. Buffet breakfast was amazing, selection was not overly huge but they are high quality. The bacon pancetta was something else! So is the salad bar. Some negatives we had was that the room service was sub par. We requested bath towel, which we never received. They took our bath robe away during room cleaning. Also took the shower cap, without providing replacement. Mini bar fridge is not cold at all. I brought some drinks with me and they are only mildly colder than room temperature. The pool is on the smaller side, with not many pool chair, not even spot to put your gear aside. I guess it was peak time during our stay. There is also no view from the pool as its mostly blocked by the vegetation. Overall was great experience but definitely some room for improvements.
