Nicely appointed rooms and we had a nice view of RAC Arena. The staff were lovely and helpful when my Mum needed to check in early before me. Loved the small lounge area and nespresso machine in the room. The location was super handy. Most of the places I needed to go were walking distance and it only took a couple of minutes wait the two times I needed a ride share. Looking forward to staying again and checking out the breakfast and room service dinner when going to Perth for Our next concert!

Excellent room, furniture very sleek and dark moody vibe. Huge bathroom and awesome shower. I stayed for one night and wish it was longer. Good breakfast too.

For a smaller hotel it was surprisingly good. Everything was great, couldn't fault a thing. The staff were friendly, room was very spacious and clean. Breaky was yum! Easy checkin, parking was near by. The hotel also left a plate with some small deserts for my friends Birthday. Thankyou!!

Spent one night at this comfortable hotel in Perth centre, after out late return trip to the pinnacles. Young guy at the desk was super friendly, and helped in anyway he could. Good breakfast 😋

For the prices they charge, they provide a completely underwhelming experience for guests. While I was unloading the car the chauvinist reception attendant asked my wife to wait till I came in before starting to check us in. No one at the front desk answers the phone. There's no room service or wake up calls because no one answers the phone. The breakfast is ridiculously overpriced for stale croissants. The rooms have been heavily used with only basic cleaning done to keep them up. In my kids' room there was fiberglass insulation on the floor from where the aircon must have been serviced. I cleaned it up myself because there was no answer at the front desk. There's no nearby parking. Security is lax at best which isn't reassuring given it's location in the city.

It's OK. The location is the selling point but amenities are basic. Our towels were straight out of the packet, so when used all the fluff floated around like dust and I suspect it was the case all over the hotel because the fluff seemed to be floating everywhere, even in the lifts. Checking in was okay however a note to have a twin room was clearly ignored and a subsequent unwarranted charge was added to the credit card after we left for a red bull we had not consumed. The rooms were alright, TV mounted crooked but beds comfy enough. The corridors look like they are from an asylum.

Great location however downhill from there . Room wasn’t serviced when we enquired the lady just bought us towels until my partner asked to make up the room , the body wash was empty and the shower grill had a lot of mould in it . Breakfast was disappointing very cold scrambled eggs not cooked however we did turn up with only half a hour to closing however the next day was worse . No hot water in the cafe machine no milk provided for tea or cereal and no bread supplied . All we had to do was ask and it was amended however if the team was organised these faults wouldn’t have happened. I would only recommend this hotel for a one night stay because of the location ☹️☹️

Hotel lacks customer service, understaffed from what I can say, upon check-in at around 1730, 8 people in line with one check-in staff, called guest services number 7 times with no answer, went down to the service deck got told they are very busy and couldn't answer guest calls 😮‍💨, told them my coffee machine isn't working, and would like a replacement, it hasn't arrived yet. Unfortunately, this place was booked through work, I'll be sure to let them know not to book here in the future.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The hotel was cramped and dull. The elevator was so full of dust that it looked like a winter wonderland. For over $300 a night they don’t even provide tooth brushes, bath robes or bottles of water. I’ve stayed in motels which provide these basic amenities. Don’t bother going for room service, the only things available after 9:30pm are $24 cheese toasties. The bathroom had not been cleaned properly, there was soap scum throughout the grout lines and the towels smelt like bleach. Overall a really lackluster experience, not worth the money and the hotel is obviously not well maintained. Only book here if you have a concert at the RAC Arena.

Room was very clean, modern and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Booked through the Rydges website with my customer discount, probably wouldn't have been as happy with the size of the room if I had paid the standard rate.

Overall a really nice place to stay. We were on the 16th floor so we had a slight outlook instead of another building. Requested a late check-out due to not wanting to wait at airport for 11 hours but was only given an additional hour, after a week long stay a little more compassion would have gone a long way. Kitchen was closed, not sure why, so bare minimum only for room service. Bed was very comfy and bathroom was very clean and large. As said above, overall experience was pleasent and would stay there again.

I wish I could rate them 0 stars. The room was okay, but the bathroom was discussing with a cheap shower curtain all stained on the bottom. The breakfast was very limited and the staff was disorganized. I had to ask to for a clean plate and cutlery to serve my breakfast and the food was average with with a limited selection. Overall it was expensive and terrible service.

READ CAREFULLY. BAD REVIEWS ON THIS WEBSITE ARE MADE BY PEOPLE THAT KNOW THEY ARE NOT PAYING FOR JUST A BED TO SLEEP IN BUT A SERVICE. Looking forward to a weekend off my partner. I booked a room with this establishment. After arriving and going to check in, my partner and I were told our room wasn't ready. These things happen so we went for a walk until it was. When returning to the hotel they had called the police on us. Accusing us of committing fraud. After a very brief conversation with the police, I showed the police my transaction history, Internet banking, Card payment, as well as the card I'd used to pay with my details on it. Proving I had paid for the room myself, the police then went to the staff and told the hotel they had made a mistake. That I had proven I was not using someone else's card details and the money they had TAKEN was mine. Despite this, The staff at reception refused us entry to the room we had paid for, refused to refund us our payment and told us to find another hotel, even after being told by the police they had stuffed up. By this stage after going for a walk while they "cleaned our room" it was 9pm, most accommodation were closed for bookings and we were down 300-400 dollars and could not get another hotel. Again I can understand that mistakes happen and I was not under any circumstances rude, threatening, loud, obnoxious or otherwise. Even so, we were given no choice but to leave and drive three hours home again. To this day management refuses to speak to me, correspond, reply or even apologize. I was polite. understanding and forthcoming throughout their entire unfortunate clerical error. I would not recommend hotels owned by foreign entities as the focus is financial and not reputable. It's been a while now, yet I've still not received my money or an apology. Reasons to not go to Perth number 146

Had a lovely stay at Rydges! Was greeted by Ross who was super welcoming and friendly. As part of our deal as soon as we got to the room Ross provided us with sparking wine and chocolates which was a lovely addition to our stay. Would highly recommend.

Great location! An easy walk to shopping and restaurants. The room was spotless, and our room request was met. The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast was great. Enjoyed our stay!

The room was okay for the price and good location. Quite a lot of dust on the surfaces, probably the room wasn't being used for a while. The check in process was disappointing. To make matters worse, I received a call telling me that I consumed a bunch of minibar items, which I didn't even touch. The guy on the phone said that upon checking out yesterday afternoon (I checked out very early in the morning to go to work) room service did a count and reported some wine and chocolate was consumed. Finally they decided to 'waive' the charges. I said to them that they aren't waiving anything since I didn't consume anything. After reading more reviews, it seems like this is normal behaviour from the staff and quite possibly coming from management. Regardless, I'll be informing my travel agent and fellow colleagues to avoid this hotel when travelling to our Perth office. I stayed in room 507 and Viktor gave feedback about the shower drain in the same room 2 months ago of which Rydges responded that they will pay extra attention to it, all I can say is that it is a bunch of hot air..

Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. We stated 2 adults and 1 child. When we arrived after a long drive from the country the sofa bed wasn’t made up. Spoke to receptionist for extra sheets and towel, only to be told that house keeping had gone home. She managed to give us a different room. But we then had to move all our stuff into our original room for our second night early the next morning as we had to be somewhere, which then made us late. After getting back to the hotel our sofa bed still wasn’t made, so I rang reception. House keeping came in and we heard her say to the other house keeper they didn’t tell us to do the bed. We were spoken to rudely by the male at front reception and after we checked out I found out we were charged for the mini bar that we didn’t touch!!!! Will never return again. Avoid at all cost.

This is the first time I've been to such a dirty and unfriendly hotel. Maybe it wasn't cleaned after checking in, only the conditioner was a different product among the amenities. It turned out that it was not the original hotel, and it was left as it was used by others. The rest of the shampoo and body shampoo were more than half empty. In December in Perth, when it is close to 35 degrees, the ice maker is broken and is not serviced. Even when I was looking for my luggage after storing it, only mine was in the storage room, and they told me to look for my things there. It's like a 2-star hotel. And the front is under construction, so the view is too bad right now. Do not go.

This has to be the most janky hotel I have ever been in. I had the rudest check-in lady, incredibly judgemental and didn't bother telling me where the amenities are and then shooed me off to the lifts. Then I entered the room, there was blood on the table and the sink was clogged, the gentleman was polite and helpful and moved me next door. The next door room was even worse, the vents kept making this spontaneous grinding noise even when the air con was off and waking me up. I then passed the rude lady again and smiled at her and she awkwardly averted eye contact instead of welcoming me back. I could not get out of there fast enough and changed hotels 4 nights early. The only polite word to use here is janky.

Visited Perth a few times, always changing different hotel to try it out. Location wise is convenient, near to eating places shopping malls. Rooms is definitely one of the best ones, very cozy and spacious. Restautrant at the lobby serving good breakfast. The only low point is staying there for 4 days/ 3 nights was still waiting for my room to be clean up, though i go out everyday at 10am and back at 3pm. Hope the management can improved on this, otherwise it is a good hotel to stay.

Amazing clean place to stay the view wasn't the best from our room but the location is perfect close to the city but not close enough to hear and see all the trouble at night. Room was great for size and the staff were helpful and always happy. Definitely staying there again 👍

We loved our stay here and would happily stay again. A good clean well run hotel. Staff were always friendly. Shame the restaurant and room service were not functioning, although this was only due to Covid. Great experience all round, the beds are luxe and comfortable, and not a spot of mold in our bathroom. Thanks everyone! :)

We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel last weekend. The rooms were beautiful, large, comfortable, clean, super comfy bed, big bathrooms, staff were excellent and the location was amazing. We had the family room and the connected door made it easy to interact with each other. They offered us early check in and late checkout which made life super easy.

Great hotel rooms with perfect location in the heart of Perth, close to shopping, dining and public transport. Has a small gym. Good restaurant with adequate choices for breakfast. Major let down with service, check-in look 90 minutes as they couldn't find the booking. There were multiple people in reception sorting out multiple issues for people before and after me. Wasn't the best first impression. Was sent to the guest lounge area to wait. Furniture was half laid out, half packed up. Apologetic, but not worth $200 for the night.

We recently stayed in the hotel as we attended the Script concert. Wow a fantastic little hotel. We got a lot of information from the front desk on where to park as we are from out town. The room was very clean and love the big shower! We had breakfast for 4 people and it was just amazing. First time I have asked for a special coffee and Kiera got it right! Kiera was very friendly and willing to help the group. She was excellent on her service. Thank you for making the stay so enjoyable. Well done team! Christian

Update: we were moved to a new room exactly the same as our original room but cleaner and 4 floors up. They did try to give up some champagne, fruit and chocolate truffles but unfortunately we don't drink alcohol so we felt a little bad. The fruit and truffles were nice though. A complimentary breakfast probably would have been a safer option to offer. Original review: I know COVID has effected a lot of business with challenges hiring and keeping staff resulting in reduced service levels however there has to be a minimum standard met. That minimum standard is not being met at Rydges Perth Kings Square. My husband and I previously stayed at the hotel when it was Peppers and enjoyed it immensely. So we chose it again for our 20th anniversary staycation. To say we are disappointed would be an understatement. Our hotel room has the following - a damp smell like the carpet has been wet and has become moldy - a coffee pod that has been perforated but not properly used and replace back with the unused coffee pods - a tv remote that is filthy and grimy and that I am hesitant to touch - a kettle that is dirty and grimy on the outside around the handle - a dirty hand held shower hose that had a hair on it - a bathroom ceiling covered with dead bugs I have submitted a complaint on the website but I am yet to receive a response

The location is pretty good, being walkable to the main perth station, the arts precinct, northbrdge and the main shopping area, walking to the quay is a bit far though. Rooms are comfortable enough and the street is quiet at night (although a bit noisy during the day). Unfortunately on my trip here, they forgot we existed so we did not get our room made for 2 days nor had the cups washed nor get the towels, milk and the drinks restocked. Meaning that by the 3rd night it smelt like old coffee and we had to approach the front desk to ask what happened. They had no idea why and did not attempt to apologise for the situation. Overall would not recommend staying here but if you had to, make sure to double check that the housekeeping is doing their jobs properly and complain promptly if they are not to ensure a comfortable stay.
