THEY
ARE
NOT
PAYING
FOR
JUST
A
BED
TO
SLEEP
IN
BUT
A
SERVICE.
Looking
forward
to
a
weekend
off
my
partner.
I
booked
a
room
with
this
establishment.
After
arriving
and
going
to
check
in,
my
partner
and
I
were
told
our
room
wasn't
ready.
These
things
happen
so
we
went
for
a
walk
until
it
was.
When
returning
to
the
hotel
they
had
called
the
police
on
us.
Accusing
us
of
committing
fraud.
After
a
very
brief
conversation
with
the
police,
I
showed
the
police
my
transaction
history,
Internet
banking,
Card
payment,
as
well
as
the
card
I'd
used
to
pay
with
my
details
on
it.
Proving
I
had
paid
for
the
room
myself,
the
police
then
went
to
the
staff
and
told
the
hotel
they
had
made
a
mistake.
That
I
had
proven
I
was
not
using
someone
else's
card
details
and
the
money
they
had
TAKEN
was
mine.
Despite
this,
The
staff
at
reception
refused
us
entry
to
the
room
we
had
paid
for,
refused
to
refund
us
our
payment
and
told
us
to
find
another
hotel,
even
after
being
told
by
the
police
they
had
stuffed
up.
By
this
stage
after
going
for
a
walk
while
they
"cleaned
our
room"
it
was
9pm,
most
accommodation
were
closed
for
bookings
and
we
were
down
300-400
dollars
and
could
not
get
another
hotel.
Again
I
can
understand
that
mistakes
happen
and
I
was
not
under
any
circumstances
rude,
threatening,
loud,
obnoxious
or
otherwise.
Even
so,
we
were
given
no
choice
but
to
leave
and
drive
three
hours
home
again.
To
this
day
