If I could give a 2.5 I would. The kitchen staff were friendly and helpful. Good location, secure building and good view of the city. The shower door didn’t stop the water from leaving the shower, the bathroom floor couldn’t drain said water. The rooms weren’t serviced daily which lead to bins over flowing and having to ask for fresh towels because the other towels were needed to soak up the water. The bed was slightly uncomfortable and the room was stuffy. The window couldn’t open to get fresh air in. Wifi didn’t work in the room and it wasn’t the cleanest. Affordable hotel in a convenient location but I would recommended spending the extra money somewhere else.

This was the smallest room on my floor. There's barely enough room to move around with a suitcase on the floor. There were bits of dark patches on the walls in the toilet. I checked out way earlier than I originally planned due to it. The receptionist at check in over charged me and the person at reception was helpful in helping me get a refund of the overcharge. She was friendly and got it resolved in no time. The water from the shower and the tap had a weird taste. Not sure what it was but it was definitely disgusting, not sure if that's the water supply to the area or the hotel. Wouldn't recommend this hotel if you can afford a little more for a better stay.

I would give it a zero, Place was dirty and tiny and very expensive. A friend booked it as part of my 40th birthday present. She was mortified that for what she paid this what what we got. Staff weren't particularly friendly, carpets need to be pulled up stains all over them. It stunk and there were spill stains all over the walls. Won't stay again will never recommend. She wrote a review and hotel claims she must have the wrong hotel as she never stayed. No she got the right hotel. It's gross!

Room is very outdated and basic, the shower door opening does not practical or cater for people with a larger stature and the carpets are very dirty and dusty. The positives is the bed is comfortable, linnen is clean and fresh and the room maintenance people are very lovely, warm and friendly. Location is great in the city centre and close to all amenities, and bus station. Close walking distance to pretty much everything. The restaurant Rubix is fantastic, staff are friendly and always welcoming.

Rooms needed a good clean. Couldn’t adjust air conditioning. It was cold with it on or too warm without it off. Adjoining rooms are a risk to the noise next door. Unfortunately we could hear the people next to us, including their ‘private activities.’ Beds were on wheels and moved all the time.. very unsafe part for elderly. Water pipes were very loud. I’ve stayed at other Ibis hotels and they’ve been much better quality.

The room is small and old, heavy dust behind the TV and on the radio. On the first day of arrival, reception hasn't been helpful in terms of room allocation; I understand we are a big group booking, but the time we spent on check-in was just too much. Breakfast buffet was very average, and it doesn;t match to the price we paid for. Some weird noise happened overnight, sounds like power flow?? Told the reception the issue, but never got it sorted. I highly recommend to look for other accomodation options before this hotel:)

All is good with the hotel. Manager Eugene is friendly and the staff is supportive. Anita at the restaurant is caring and takes care of needs. I liked strawberry yoghurt with banana chips. Less vegetarian items but you can adjust yourself with available items. No live counter available. Some rooms are smaller in size but budget friendly hotel.

Shower leaked and flooded bathroom floor, can hear people in next room, long wait and claustrophic lifts, long line to checkout. Rooms in small side but comfy bed, good appliances, room service decent and priced okay compared to other places. Staff were friendly and efficient.

I had a queen room on level 7 overlooking Murray St, for a 3 night stay during Fringe 2024. Quiet because it's far enough from Northbridge for crowds to have dissipated, yet walking distance from everything in Northbridge. Also it's far enough from William St for late night disco noise to be distant, yet close enough to Williams St shops during the day including Woolies and KMart to purchase forgotten items. Clean sheets and towels daily, and plenty of hot water - but you do have to adjust it during peak-shower-hour. I dined across the street at the Belgian Beer Cafe because I preferred their salads and alfresco tables. Hint: Northbridge has two "shifts", the early shift - before midnight - are the well behaved dinner-and-show crowd. While the late shift - after midnight - is where you need to be on high alert for random bad behaviour.

Billing is questionable. Room is looking old, paint on the walls is almost falling off the walls both in rooms and in the halls, entrance door is dirty, ten days staying in the hotel, no vacuum done in the room, toilets leaking. Pictures on the official website have absolutely nothing to do with what we were given. Pricing is ridiculous. Disappointed I've let my dad booked there, we will spend hundreds more for a more convenient, cleaner, nicer hotel. I would avoid Ibis Murray at this point.

Comfortable clean room, spacious, bed was fine. Noisy (Saturday night), bathroom basin very slow to drain. Radio didn’t work. No usb sockets that worked.

Reasonable sized rooms. Good location and helpful front desk. Bar/restaurant close at around 8:15 pm so you need to eat early or out but plenty of places nearby.

I recently stayed at the Ibis before and after a bus tour 6 nights in all. It’s situated very well, close to train, buses and shops. Our room wasn’t cleaned every day and milk wasn’t replaced in the end we bought our own from coles. At 6 am most mornings the shower came on , on its own, there was a tremendous noise coming from pipes. Probably an air lock it was reported twice but as far as I know nobody came to fix it, Staff were helpful the meals were very good value, but we were charged $60 for a bottle of Oyster Bay which costs less than $20 from BWS. I expect to pay double for a bottle of wine in a restaurant but triple is just downright robbery!

Very professional and friendly check in by Eugene. He read my comment in the booking and could accommodate my request. Something most receptions won't look at. Therefore 10/10 Eugene well done. I'd definitely come again.

Service at the desk was great. Breakfast was average. However room was dirty and very small (closet small). The bathroom sink was blocked, told the reception on our way out on the first day and came back late to it still being blocked for the second and third day, no other sink to wash hands, brush teeth…. At $230 a night - definitely not the cheapest. Stayed at cleaner hotels in Perth for less $$.

Nice hotel in the middle of Perth. Bed comfortable and pillow choice was good. Had a telly, internet and desk. Low ceilings in shower. Noisy air conditioning but did drown out any other background noise.

  • 1/5 Glenn C. 1 year ago on Google
Very disappointing experience. The room was nothing like the web site advertised. And no where was it said we would be in the smaller half of an adjoining room on the hotels laundry floor. No sleep due to the noise of the air con. Sounded like a freezer van parked by the room door all night. Very unclean through out the entire move from reception through elevators to room. Tiny room. Very over priced budget style accomodation. We visit Perth often and regularly stay at a hotel not far from the Ibis. We decide to try Ibis , just for a change. The only positive of this stay is that this hotel has resssured us that our regular place of stay is far in front. Although Ibis is very over priced, it’s not about the money for us. It’s about the experience. And the experience of the Ibis was VERY poor.

Decent chain hotel. Fairly clean, staff were friendly, location is very convenient. Be warned this hotel does NOT have blackout curtains! If you need them to sleep, steer clear. Morning sun gave me a migraine.

  • 2/5 Alex C. 11 months ago on Google
Overall a bit of a shocker. We chose Ibis as overall cheaper (not by much) than The Alex etc. The hotel is pretty tired, the foyer in need of an update. Arriving at our room we found the door wide open having been left by the cleaners presumably. The hallway leading to the room clearly was in need of an update, carpet dirty and stained, walls scraped etc. Our room was as expected small, but on inspection in need of an update too. The shower leaked water all over the bathroom, fittings like taps wobbled. Not ideal The staff were the saving grace. Friendly and helpful. In the end, if you can afford to... I'd look elsewhere.

Central to CBD. Walking distance to train station and Murray Street Mall. Rooms met basic requirements. Hotel was clean. Food in Rubix restaurant was fast, fresh and tasty. Staff were helpful.

Rooms are small is abit dated and need some revamp. Cleaniness in rooms can improved too Parking at Queen's street available 20auz per day. Service was okay and we added breakfast into our stay. Breakfast was standard bread and toast varieties with some savoury food. Location is super centralised in the city and within walking distance to all the malls.

Tiny rooms, very unclean and unhygienic. Booked for 2 days, left after 1 night. Please have a look at the kettle photo attached. I wouldn't even let my dog have water out of something that's so dirty. Certainly not Ibis brand worthy.

  • 3/5 Kent G. 1 year ago on Google
The room and toilet were small. And this place needs a good renovation. There are a few things that I don't quite like about this hotel. 1. the lights inside the room are too dim. 2. the tray they used to give tea bags is dirty, I would be okay with giving the tea bags with individual packaging, but it is not. The red tea by Lipton that they gave had no individual package, and they just let it goes with the dust on the tray. 3. the shower place needs to be bigger. To take a shower, you will probably hit the shampoos that are on the wall. 4. service needs to improve. 5. the housekeeping annoyed me one time. It's not their fault. They started housekeeping at 8 am and kept knocking around where I had forgotten to put on the do not disturb sign at the doorknobs. Then they knocked on the door every half an hour until I told them to return at 10 am. And one day, they removed my spare key card from the power slot. I understand that they wanted to save energy, and they could just turn off the aircon, but I needed the power to keep the fridge running so that my milk doesn't go bad. 6. on my last day, when I wanted to check out, I waited for more than 10 minutes for the lift to come to me. I tried calling the front desk, and they didn't answer. I was lucky that I had a friend that came to say goodbye and helped me tell the front desk about the lift. Imagine if I didn't have a friend that came, not sure how long I would have to wait. I think the only good thing about this hotel is the location. It's close to everything that you'll need.

Staff: 8/10 Really lovely. Shoutout to the really nice janitor/handy man that was always energetic and a good laugh. Wifi: 3/10 - Really slow and basically didn’t work in the rooms Room cleaning: 2/10 I got some kind of bed bugs from uncleaned sheets or towels (I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, thinking it could of been a heat rash, but no - Pharmacists confirmed it was some kind of bug) After showering, I dried off and went to bed to then lie there for a good 2-3hours with painful itches and hives appearing all over my body. Only calmed down once I left the room. The room was poorly cleaned (didn’t pick up trash, clean the bathroom or replace the fridge stock) Lobby was a bit depressing. Again - Staff were really nice and helpful! Such a shame the facilities didn’t match that energy. (The location is good otherwise, but would recommend going elsewhere and finding something better for that price)

Booked a weekend for my sons Birthday. Location was fantastic, so close to everything within the CBD. Unfortunately that was all that was pleasant with our stay. The room had no cups to use tea, coffee or have water, asked for some but never received them. The hotel aircon was loud and it was hard to sleep. The room itself was basic but clean. A lot of anti social behavior out the front of the hotel. Parking was expensive. Over priced compared to other CBD hotels I have stayed in. Reception staff were very nice. This hotel has the potential of being a great hotel with some positive changes.

No bidet in toilet. Toilet door in Room 205 cannot shut properly. No bottled water provided. Beds quite comfortable, not the same for the thin pillows. Musty smell along corridor on level 2. Front reception service staff are friendly.

Small room, reasonably clean except for the mould under the rim of the basin. However the whole hotel is in dire need of a reno. Carpets are shabby and old and place needs a coat of paint. $200/night a bit overpriced for what you get

  • 3/5 Zoe J. 5 months ago on Google
Great location. If you are travelling by public transport, it is only a 5 min walk to the train station. There are shops and restaurants all around within short walking distance. You can also reach the ferry terminal in 10 mins. We were first given a room on the 2nd floor by the corner which faced some pipes. There was no natural sunlight coming in. The room was dim and we did not feel comfortable in it. Requested for a change of room after one night and was given one on the 6th floor with a street view and natural sunlight. There were some creaky sounds at night and you could hear them v clearly if the aircon is switched off. Had to leave the TV on distract myself from the sounds Rooms need a bit of upgrading. The aircon only had 3 settings - high, medium and low. Kettle was old and dirty. The shower area is quite small which might be a squeeze for people who are plus sized

Just done a week at the Ibis and it was perfect for what we need. A room with a shower and bed. Free WiFi, not the quickest but it's free and allows you to stay connected. Location is perfect. Easy walk to the shops, Elizabeth quay and the train station. Great Belgian beer house across the road. Only downside was the beds, they were comfy but for some reason they are on wheels. Would have better if they weren't. Breakfast was good, mix of an English style and continental. Great coffee. Great juice.

The Ibis hotel Perth, was everything we required, for our first trip to the west, with access to local points of interest from this very centrally located, practical establishment. The breakfast selection was perfect for our needs, at a very reasonable price. Likewise, the restaurant had a varied menu at very generous prices, with all manner of alcoholic beverages from the adjacent bar. The Ibis staff were all friendly and courteous, and nothing was too much trouble. One front counter staff member, Lucy, was particularly helpful, making personal deliveries of required items discussed to our room, nothing waa too much trouble. All in all, our accumulative 5 days at the Ibis, were extremely relaxing, and enjoyable. 😎👍

Good budget stay. Brilliant $20 breakfast. Thank you Nada for her service, friendliness, and preparing an amazing breakfast mostly by herself by the looks of it! Give that woman a pay rise

Building is old and overdue for a renovation, biggest gripe for me was the bathroom. The showers don't hold all the water in and this means that alot of water gathered on the bathroom floor, the problem there is that there is no drain in the floor for the water to drain. This results in a very dangerous but also uncomfortable experience. It was so bad that it almost came out into the bedroom. Staff could only supply extra towels daily to absorb the water.

Cheap place to stay in the city. Rooms are small but good if you just need a place to rest your head. Beds are comfortable. Dinner is served at a loud kitchen from next door. Chose to eat across the road. Did not dissapoint. Breakfast is in house.

Rooms are very small, showers could use some TLC, and the pillows and beds are very uncomfortable, the only benefit being the cheap price of the rooms for the ideal location if the hotel.

If you are the type of person that enjoys disappointment then this is the place for you. You all know that feeling you get walking into your hotel room for the first time right? The feeling you get where you get that rush of relief that you're hotel is nice and you're happy with your booking? Well you won't get that here! My room is dark and musty, the carpet is pulling up all over, the shower screen doesn't shut properly so there's always water on the floor in the bathroom and there's clearly a low standard of cleanliness (dirty, dusty and mould in the bathroom) which has become the norm and is completely overlooked by staff. The staff at the front counter look miserable and seem put out if you go the the desk for anything. Overall a highly disappointing experience I will not return even for free.

Good staff, very helpful. The worst thing is you got to park the car and pay for it. I paid $79 for 3 days. They should reflect it in the advertisement "You pay us and also your Car". That's the only annoying thing other than that its all good.

Two stars: one for it's proximity to both Coles and the bus pickup for our hike. And one for the x2 bottles of water in the fridge and mellow light in the bathroom (I don't like lights on in the morning). When we arrived the manager didn't acknowledge our existence (he was fixing something on the computer with another staff member) until after a long minute of standing there, he greeted us with a 'please wait'.. Once he was ready and gave the sign in sheet to my partner (it was asterix'd with where to sign), he let maybe 5 seconds pass then tapped his finger where to sign. Once signed and the $50 deposit paid he then said, 'welcome to the Ibis'. This closing statement probs should have been his opening statement. We got to our room and it was a shoebox, we kept having to move out of each other's way to walk around. The neighbours were blasting the tunes.. I touched the wall to see what it was made of and surprisingly it wasn't made of paper. Shower water pressure was the strength of a dribble. $180 was a bit rich for this quality.. if it was $120 I would have understood.

Locations good it's 200 mtres from the train station. Room was pleasant but the bed gave me aches as i felt the springs threw the mattress. Breakfast was good $20 buffet.

Was great quick and easy check in but the checkout was not so great was left standing there for 20 mins or more while receptionist served another person taking her time. We only needed to validate the parking to leave but other than that was great checking in and the guys were amazing to assist us.

Supposedly a superior room - ha ha. Couldnt swing a miniature cat in it. Shower dripped constantly, complained-nothing done about it. Was told, "we are only 3 star hotel". $150 p night, don't do it.

Good budget hotel, nice and clean. The building itself is a little aged and cramped, but not to the point of undue concern. The amenities are very functional. Would stay again!

I’m never one to write negative reviews.. but I had a terrible stay at Ibis Perth and feel it’s very fair to express how bad it was. My fiancé and I had our first baby free night. To say I was excited, especially to have a sleep in would be an understatement. We arrived around 4pm, threw our bags in and left for the night. We came back later on and tried to shut the roller blind, but the blind was in the corner of the room, BEHIND the chair.. not hanging up.. there were two see-through blinds obviously used for privacy in the day, but no actual blind to keep the light out. I call reception and ask please can someone put this blind up for me as I was really counting on having a nice sleep in. I was told it’s not possible and no one can help. He came up to check but was so blunt and rude to me. No sorry, no effort made. Again I never, ever complain. But I had to on this occasion and he advised that I should have noticed earlier so it could have been fixed. How about don’t give me a room, charge over $200 for the night to then find there’s no actual blind hanging up!! How is that my fault?? It wasn’t even in plain view too! I was so upset to have been woken up at 5am with the sun beaming through. We ended up leaving just before 7am as there was absolutely no point trying to attempt to sleep in with that much light. It ruined our night, a night my fiancé and I desperately needed and looked forward to so much. The room was also not clean, so much dust on the walls and hanging from the cornices. The shower leaks water all over the floor. If you’d like to know the exact room, it was 609. We won’t ever be staying here again.

The Ibis is a good location very close to Coles and the Belgian beer cafe across the road and Rubix the bar and restaurant attached to the hotel. The staff are amazing and very accommodating very well mannered and happy to help with any requests they also do offer long stay at a discounted rate. With 24/7 front desk staff.
