$250 for a 3x3m room over looking the car park open stairs meaning couldn’t have curtains open. 2 teabags and no iron. Staff want you in and out, car park ‘special offer’ is actually $7 more than the car park regular fee. Good location though if you simply want a bed for the night without the hotel experience. Room was clean and linen was fresh.

Stayed here for two nights and was very disappointed given the cost per night. We paid for the base room and it was shockingly tiny. There is no where to sit other than on the bed; I had to iron in the bathroom (which doubles as the entryway for the room); and, you have to step over your bags to get into bed. The service was good, however it does not compensate for the room. Avoid.

This place is simply amazing for spending a leisurely afternoon sipping on your favourite cocktail or spirit with your friends. The staff is extremely friendly, and they go out of their way to make you feel at home. And the cherry on top is the balcony overlooking the quay that offers breathtaking views, making the experience even more special and unforgettable.

The staff were very friendly and hospitable. The food both at the HQ and ground floor was excellent. The environment/atmosphere and room however yields some room for improvement. First upon entering, one enters the reception area that is primarily for dining on ground floor, looking much like a community college cafeteria. I expected a nice lobby with seating and vases of large floral arrangements, given the reputation of this hotel. The air-conditioning: Relentless. And it's everywhere . But it is constant to the point where one feels chilly and uncomfortable. Needs to be toned down. Even top floor restaurant was just too cold in order to fully appreciate the fabulous meal. The restaurant's ambience was lovely with a sort of 'zen-like' feel to it, but with that it ought to be encouraged that the noisy clatter and chatter from the guests be toned down to a minimum. We wanted to sit out on terrace but the only seating available had been next to a noisy group of people, so we opted to dine inside. The room: We were told our room had been upgraded. It looked fairly average and was nothing special; wasn't even all that spacious. But linens were fresh and the room looked tidy. The bed however had no top sheet! Just a doona for top cover, which was way too hot. Never stayed in a hotel that hadn't furnished the beds with a standard top sheet. Pillows were terribly uncomfortable. All made for a sleepless night. The light in bathroom way too bright, as my partner's sleep was disrupted whenever I used the toilet; also too bright for person using toilet. Bathroom could use a nightlight for this purpose. And the air conditioner was also a problem due to it being too complicated to operate. Needs to be more user-friendly. Room was way too cold until we finally figured it out. Coffee maker, complimentary milk and water was appreciated but after milk was poured into coffee cup it was too cold to drink. Room needs a small microwave. Definitely a three-star stay.

I left this hotel very impressed and if you’re looking for a modern place in a brilliant central location then you should certainly consider here. Checking in late in the evening was a delight, with the member of staff providing a great welcome and offering recommendations in the area. My room was on the second floor overlooking the main road at the front, but it remained silent throughout the stay with great sleep quality. The room was very modern and spotlessly clean. The bedroom area was spacious enough although only had a chair at the small desk, rather than any form of armchair, and the wardrobe is open to the room. The Nespresso coffee machine was a nice touch and there was a mini bar stocked with some milk. Lighting in the room was superb and electric sockets present at both sides of the bed. The sliding door to the bathroom was a unique aspect and opening revealed a large and impressive space. There was so much storage space with decent toiletries and good towels and it continued the clean and modern feel. I left the ‘do not disturb’ light illuminated one day but on returning to the room it was incredible to find clean towels left in a bag hanging on the door - superb touch. The top floor of the hotel has a nice restaurant and bar. With the outdoor seating it’s a great place to spend the end of an evening and there’s a good atmosphere. It was just a shame that it closes so early! My only complaint about this hotel would be the early time set for checkout at 10am. Otherwise it was prefect for my needs and I’ll certainly be staying again - great hotel.

What a fantastic place to stay while in Perth. A walk to the rail station, city centre and shops. The staff were great. Beds and facilities were first class. Nothing, and I mean nothing to complain about, it even has a work/office area on one floor and a bar. To whinge about the TV is ridiculous. Hotel rooms are not about entertainment they about having access to a City. 5 stars to my QLD male receptionist, yes I have Google maps ;-) and to my female Russian friend. Lovely things are in small packages. 5 stars Quay, best visit to Perth and will book in again.

I stayed here for 5 nights while visiting Perth on business. I had a fairly basic room on the first floor. It had a slightly odd layout with an unusual sliding partition, but it was all very clean and comfortable. The bathroom felt a bit narrow, but the main part of the room had plenty of space. The hotel had plenty of facilities too (most of which I didn't use), and the staff were polite and helpful. My only real criticism is the lack of storage space for clothes. I wanted to be able to hang up all my clothes for the week, but there was only space to hang up a few items.

Excellent business-focused hotel with co-working space at no additional cost. Our flight was delayed and we had to work the following day - so we were tasked with booking a hotel in a pinch, and finding a local PAYG office space. We discovered Quay was mentioned on a ‘Top 10 Co-working Spaces in Perth’ article from Urban list, and an after a quick call to reception, jumped on a booking. The room was quaint and modern, with all the essentials. We were able to work in the room until check-out time (12pm) and then migrated to the Level Nine Co-working space until we had to leave for the airport. Fast reliable Wi-Fi and printing was also available for no extra cost. All up we paid $259 for an overnight stay, office for the day, and breakfast for two. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Perth. Cannot recommend this hotel enough! 10/10.

Depends on what you expect. Room is a joke for Perth, staff ok but not professional, lots of tiny grizzles, to many to write about. Noise doesn't stop. Stayed here because of convenience but would have been happier somewhere else. If you have stayed in a Japanese hotel this is for you.

Things my room does not have: 1. A toilet paper holder 2. A bathroom door 3. A place to sit down 4. A place to open my bag 5. A place to hang a bath towel Just be aware. I wasn't. My partner will make jokes about this place for as long as we live. Edit: Got a call from the desk right after posting this review (I was still in hotel). They wanted me to pay extra for an upgrade... Bit hostile in approach. 'Offered' for me to check out early. The management response below is comically inaccurate. It's not worth disputing point by point. The team entered my room when I had my 'do not disturb sign up' - the toilet is directly next to door they entered against my request. Hrm. If you agree a room with a bathroom should have a bathroom, door don't stay here. Downgrading from 2 to 1 star based on management reaction.

I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet my room was at night, coming from the country. Very helpful staff, and a very small but clean and well presented room with a good quality bed. Ideal for a short term stay. Easy walking to the bus and train station and close to the shops. I would stay again.

5 stars. Amazing hotel. The staff are great and from the moment you walk in the front door you feel the luxury. You’ve got to stay in the luxury studio. The room and views over Elizabeth Quay are unbelievable. The bath is heaven and the room size is very generous. Do yourself a favour and eat at the HQ Restaurant. That just tops off a great trip. Will be back for sure. 💯

I feel in love with this hotel. I spent the weekend here with a lover and he got us one of the best rooms with a view of Elizabeth Quay, a king sized bed and bath tub. Rose petals were sprinkled on the bed and a balloon spelling out the word love were included. I felt like the 2022 version of Julia Roberts in pretty Woman when I checked in. The staff were quite reserve about my humble appearance, but I suppose the hotel has an idea of what they'd like their clientele to be. The room however gave off a true modern day Australian chic vibe. If compared to a clothing brand it would be Calibre, or Kookai. Throughout the weekend I was constantly reminded of the minimalist, quality and unforgettable design of the hotel. The rooms could do with abit more sound proofing though, given that the younger crowd have a tendency to be rowdy (posh or not). But to say the least, I couldn't ask for more from a boutique hotel. This has set the bar for me and has inspired me to seek out other boutique hotels for any future stays.

Room is stylish but found a piece of sharp glass/plastic right after checking in, and the front desk attended to the issue immediately and said they would have housekeeping do a thorough vacuum again. I then left the room, but when I came back, there were spots with visible debris that weren’t in the corners or hard-to-get places. I’m not really sure why that was. If the housekeeping was specifically tasked to clean the floor to avoid any particles that could potentially be a hazard, why was the floor not clean? Perhaps their vacuuming and floor cleaning just wasn’t up to standard. Other than that it was just an average stay; the room incorporated a lot of design elements but wasn’t too practical - the entire bathroom floor would get very wet when you shower, for example.

I recently lodged at this establishment and found it to be a perfect discovery. The hotel maintained a notably tranquil ambiance attributable to the prevailing circumstances. While the room adhered to typical hotel standards, the bed proved remarkably comfortable. Breakfast was satisfactory, notwithstanding a few errors in our order. Despite this, it was a pleasant stay at an elegant hotel boasting an ideal location. I would recommend it.

Stayed in the Elizabeth Quay Studio room and it was perfect. The bathroom was a decent size and the room itself was great. I had a view of Elizabeth Quay (somewhat obstructed with current construction) but still very nice. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There’s a carpark right next door should you wish to hire a car and park there - but there’s a small fee. Would definitely stay in this hotel again when visiting Perth - I was very happy with the stay and service. Thank you again.

We stayed here for 3 nights, great location and convenient to walk to shops and restaurants. Really helpful and friendly staff. Bedroom was a tad small but didn’t bother me for 3 nights. There is a small fridge and kettle and coffee machine hair drier, Tv but no microwave

Awful strange room layout! Doorway is part of the toilet and Shower definitely not ideal! I wouldn't stay here again due to the lack of privacy to enter your room. The Toilet is literally at the front door with no privacy door except one sliding door between Doorway / bathroom to the Bedroom which was also very small for the Price. The reason for the 3 stars is we loved the view at the Rooftop Bar looking over Elizabeth Quay. I requested a nice view nicely but was declined and given a view of carpark 😅

This is a really neat little hotel in a great location, but as lovely as it is, the staff are this organisation’s greatest asset. After I checked out and left, I realised that I’d left some AirPods in my room, I called reception and Rosie (I hope I heard the name right) jumped into action to track them down. They were about to go into the wash and they would have if Rosie hadn’t been so quick to act. Besides that, the staff were all so incredibly helpful. I stayed 16-18 Nov and everyone I dealt with was really helpful and professional. I’ll stay here when I visit next!

I love staying at The Quay! It's so easy to get to the train station then it's one stop away from the CBD. The beds are extremely comfortable, I can even access YouTube from the TV which is great! I also love how kind and caring the staff are. I really like the hotel app to use on the mobile phone. Every time I order room service, the food is excellent, it's worth it because it's so delicious. I had a wonderful staycation in Perth and I highly recommend this hotel ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Beautiful Location and that is exactly what you pay for $$$ as the room amenities however didn’t match the price!! Unfortunately the cost doesn’t cover amenities! The TV has stock standard normal free to air tv with no in room movies, u can share ur screen to tv if you have an android phone ONLY however!! We stayed on a Saturday night and tried to order room service at 8.45pm and the kitchen was closed! 😭😢 Bed and pillows very very firm I ended up using the cushion from the bay window to find some comfort! We use Quay Perth as our company stop over. Having stayed there multiple times this year they deserve some kudos for their consistent levels of really high service, comfort and flexibility. Nothing is too much trouble. I look forward to my business travel to Perth and staying with the team at Quay.. thank you.

The hotel location is great and the views from the rooms are very nice. The room itself was very clean and the bed was super comfy. The absolute highlight of the place is the staff though - the reception staff was simply amazing. Always smiling and happy to help. I had to relocate to this hotel for my last night at Perth from another hotel, which was way too loud. It was a very stressful experience but this hotel was definitely a great choice. When I go to Perth next time this will be the place where I'll be staying.

Stayed here for 2 nights and it was an overall pleasant experience. The carpark is right next door to the hotel but we were pretty shocked by the carpark lift lobby once you reach the ground floor - it opens right into a bin/exhaust area and isn’t the most welcoming or pleasant start. Thankfully the hotel itself was much better and our room was pretty spacious which made it easy for us to open our luggage. Cleanliness was quite ok although we noticed some marks and dirt on the walls. However, the design of the room is a little odd - the hanging area for clothes is pretty tiny, and there was a desk area (but there wasn’t a proper chair). There was a lounge chair by the bed but it was too low for the desk. The other thing that could be improved would be the sound proofing - we were so shocked on the first night when we heard a slam and thought someone was trying to open our door! Turns out it was the door of another room and this loud bang happened everytime someone went in/out which was a little disruptive especially while sleeping Our bathroom was pretty large too although another flaw was that despite having a lot of room, there wasn’t a proper sink countertop or ledge to place items which would have been much more practical Nonetheless, I’d stay again for the location and convenience

Very conveniently located, clean and exceptionally quiet! Even in a room across the hall from the elevators, I didn’t hear a single thing. Very modern and well appointed rooms, including a pod coffee machine and all the amenities you would need. Highly recommend and will stay there again!

We stayed in the Elizabeth Quay room and it was up there with the best rooms we've stayed in anywhere in the world. The design was flawless, the cleanliness was perfect and the view from the window seat was divine. Staff were so attentive and made our stay extra special with a handwritten note on arrival. Thank you so so much for the most wonderful stay we've had anywhere in years

Small hotel. Convenient location to transport, Elizabeth Quay and CBD shopping. Very clean and quiet. Good restaurant and cafe which prices are not over the top like other hotels in the area. More standard meal options could be added...seems to be a trend away from good old fashioned meals in many places these days. Staff good.

Nice hotel - everything is new and up to date. Rooms are small but nice. Service was good. Views to Elizabeth Quay are lovely although somewhat blocked by trees on L5. Location is pretty central. Hotel restaurant was OK. We booked on Wotif for a great price.

Loved our stay here! We upgraded to a room on the 7th floor with a view overlooking Elizabeth Quay. This made our experience so enjoyable as we also had a huge bath! Perfect location when wanting to have dinner and drinks at Elizabeth Quay. Were very happy to stumble back to the hotel and jump in our robes. Loved the window seat and we also got complimentary wine due to celebrating a birthday. Breakfast was good but would be even better if it was buffet-style. We'll be back! :)

25th Dec 2022 Memorable Experience I want to amplify my gratitude to Jody, for coordinating our special day and include my thanks to the Colombian waitress serving us canapes` and our main Italian waitress for their faultless service. (apologies, I forgot the lady's names), compliments to the chef and the rest of the wait staff. My Party was impressed with the intimate and attentive service the delectable canapes and the divine lunch. Quay Perth certainly, delivered a memorable day. Overall it was a 10 out of 10 for Venue, friendly attentive service and a delectable Christmas Menu Thank you to Jody and the Team for a Sensational Experience

Room was modern, functional, clean and tidy. Although it was VERY compact and reminded us of staying in Japan hotels, it is great value for money and centrally located and in much better condition than a lot of other cheaper places in the city.

The room was modern and comfortable. Not huge but enough. The view was good too. This place is very central and good to walk the waterfront from here. Downside was the parking is in a separate building out the back and access is less than ideal. They do have breakfast downstairs which is great.

First night in the little room which would be good if you are just staying overnight and need a bed in Central Perth. Next day moved into a bigger room with views of the quay, a king bed and bath which is definitely where to stay if you are here for several days. Staff are helpful and pleasant from the room fairies tothe reception staff. Everyone made things easy. Definitely recommend the food at this hotel. Whether it is the cafe downstairs, the upstairs restaurant or room service, it is good quality, very well presented and arrives in a timely fashion. Definitely recommend this place.

My partner and I stayed here three nights and were off to a good start when we were upgraded upon check in. The room was modern, clean and a good size for our needs. The staff were friendly and the hotel is a short walk to a huge selection of shops, bars and eateries. Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again!

A bit concerning having the elevator from the carpark was a bit sketchy, but got into the hotel lobby and was pleasantly surprised. Check is was quick, but the lady was fairly arrogant. Not friendly in my eyes. Room was absolutely gorgeous, was on level 8 in the Lux studio. Bath was amazing and the views very pretty. Comfortable, clean room. We come back later in the evening after an event at Optus and had Nani give us our room keys and what a lovely lovely lady. So kind and helpful. She is a credit to your hotel. Lovely stay. Will recommend. 💚

One night stay in the CBD - standard room, no mini bar (not even water), small. However, bed was really comfy and bathroom was beautifully done, albeit small. Standard experience - if a quick overnight stay is what you are looking for this will do nicely. If you look for something a bit more spacious, this is not the place.

Tidy yet tiny room. Not even space to put my bag away. Rather expensive for the size, but that's to be expected for Perth CBD hotel. Add another $50 a day for parking next door.

A great boutique hotel in a fabulous location. Views out across Elizabeth Quay as you sip your morning coffee. Level 10 is the bar and restaurant area. We only called for drinks and snacks but the vibe was great and the bar snacks were delicious. The ribs were a standout. The tempura prawns hit the spot. I wish I’d ordered more. Highly recommended.

I was quarantined here for 14 days after coming back to Australia. The experience was amazing. The quality of food-service was five stars of course. The hotel management took an extra effort to arrange musical evening outside so that everyone could enjoy from their windows to give some relief in quarantine. Thank you very much for everything.Great service. I was invited to attend a business meeting at this venue. The staff was friendly and the facilities and amenities were fantastic. I will be definitely be using Sofitel again in the future. Thank you.

We enjoyed a nice stay at Quay Perth hotel. It was our wedding anniversary so the staff provided us with a complimentary bottle of champagne on arrival. We had a nice view overlooking Elizabeth Quay. Breakfast was also included with our package, and the food was divine. Overall, a great stay, but I'm taking one star off for the hot water in the shower being more on the "room temperature" side.

Great location, part of the Elizabeth Quay precinct for wining and dining along the Swan River which feels like a mini Dubai meets Sydney’s circular quay. Walking distance to Perth’s CBD and the nightlife playground of Northbridge. Enjoy the 10th floor restaurant and bar with balcony terrace now while the view isn’t potentially blocked by future construction directly across the road. Fabulous modern fit out of the rooms and access to the business lounge on the 9th floor is an added bonus.

Convenient location and new hotel, good bed. However whoever design the room must be sacked. The bathroom is elevated hence water keep leaking into the corridor after showering and create a tripping hazard. Huge mold/water damage in between the bathroom and bedroom.

Terrific location - couldn't ask better. Parking onsite, quite cheap. The rooftop bar has a great vibe and atmosphere, breakfast served speedily, and deliciously heathy to boot. The iron was delivered swiftly, and when it tripped out the power circuit, that was resolved quickly. Laundry delivered directly to my wardrobe. I guess its to be expected with such a great location, but the rooms are a bit small. No chair, or room for the suitcase, but otherwise spacious bathroom, and great soundproofing - even next to the lift I had a silent night. Next door to the Allendale Square walkway, allowing you to walk all the way to Wellington St without crossing a road. Would book again.
