Loved it. The 3bedroom is massive and well maintained. The service too was exceptional. I would commend the customer service staff who checked my mate in. My first time in Perth for my mates wedding. I observed James handle a situation and I was so impressed with his politeness and professionalism. I would recommend.

This was disgusting. Not only were the staff rude and thought it was better to talk about facebook then do there job, but there was mould in the bedroom. When I told the staff they said they would get someone to come and check it out but there was a 9 hour wait. All of this for $200, my advice do not go there

Service from the reception staff was amazing but unfortunately when arriving at the room we encountered a slept in bed and dirty towels on the bathroom floor, we called reception and they said they only clean once a week and that room had been marked as cleaned, they were very apologetic and moved us to a new room. We had a 2bedroom apartment which was very spacious but very tired and needs alot of maintenance, even the new room wasn't all that clean, I've seen cleaner facilities in a backpackers, very unacceptable for $260 per night. Owner definitely needs to lift their game on this cause it could be an amazing hotel that people would want to come back too. Unfortunately I would never return or recommend to anyone. I would have demanded a refund if I was staying longer than a night and stayed at another hotel.

I had to stay in Mandatory Hotel Quarantine for work, it was requirement of my business (not because I had COVID) and whoa did I score well!!! The staff at The Mantra on Hay have been nothing short of amazing! There was nothing that they couldn't organise for me!! If they couldn't, then they tried their hardest to help me facilitate what I needed. They were ALWAYS happy to help, and trust me, I am sure they were sick of hearing my voice over the phone 😁 The room was beautiful, clean and spacious which was a God send when being stuck here for that long!!! The food is also amazing I can't thank them enough!! I would recommend them in a heart beat

Excellent location just a very short walk to the red cat free bus which connects with the other free cat services. A medium walk to lots of shopping. Room was very spacious. Indoor pool is a nice relaxing end to a hot day. A comfortable bed and shower over the bath works well. Supplies in the room are topped up when you ask. We found asking reception easy and they were very helpful about our requests. I'm very happy to stay again. The location was great and made it easy to get anywhere.

Good points: Great Staff, Location worked for us and ........ well, the rooms have air-conditioning. Oh yes, they fixed the broken PowerPoint straight away. Needs work: Run down rooms, absolutely pitifully lighting in the rooms and hallways. The kitchen was poorly fitted out with broken equipment, not enough cutlery for the room, the cheapest kettle and toaster ever made but yes, they worked. The pool / gym, LOL. Don't bother trying to get a park in their carpark on a weekend also only really suitable for small cars.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Booked my parents a stay at mantra and we were sorely disappointed. The only plus side is the room is spacious. The room was NOT made at all in the time they were there, and they requested the room be made and was initially told that it will be done but on return it was still not done. They queried it again and was told it won’t get done if they are checking out soon which they weren’t, so the reception said it will be organised for that day. Came back and still not done. The worst thing of all was on the last day when my parents left their clothes on the floor, thankfully for the first time all trip, there were bugs crawling on their clothes when they pick it up. Extremely disappointing. Never ever booking it again no matter the convenience of it.

Overly expensive for the quality you get, horrible shower with hot water that would barely work, no more than a sheet and thin doona with no extra bedding, breakfast was not clear to us that we had to pay, told it was free when we first went down then charged us 120 dollars for 2 breakfast, 1 without a chef showing up, ridiculous. Pool was unsanitary and had no upkeep. 👎👎

Overall we did enjoy our stay, the service from staff was excellent and they responded to any requests we had. The rooms are seriously dated. Simple things like no lights in the ceiling of bedrooms, hot water system changes temp without touching the taps and the old Foxtel satellite boxes are still sending a 4:3 aspect ratio so struggling to deliver a quality picture. The worst part though had to be the pool. I dont know if it was supposed to be out of order but there were no signs on it. The water level was very low and the pool stank of stagnant water. Carpark was also very tight and there was not enough parking for the guests. Staff were gracious enough to take our word that we couldn't park in there on one of the nights and didn't charge us for it. Probably wouldn't stay again until renovations have been made.

Stayed for a month while we were looking for a permanent home. Kitchens were good enough for basic cooking. Staff were very helpful, particularly for printing out things we needed as we were getting things sorted out.

Lovely view. Enjoying the city sounds, the hustle and bustle and city aromas. Room is clean and spacious, plenty of towels in the bathroom and well appointed self contained kitchen. Nice sized fridge and separate room for the washing machine, ironing board and iron and dryer.

Nicely appointed modern flat with kitchen & 2BR, 1bath, balcony with seating. Spacious & high ceilings. Small swimming pool on the top floor. Well located in the CBD, close to the Perth Mint. Personnel were helpful. A bowl of fresh fruit are on offer on the front desk. Good value when compared to booking 2 rooms at a normal hotel. Why aren't there more hotels with 2BR to accommodate families...?

Very nice room, soundproof and spacious, and personally liked better than the crown. Kids had their own room. And all the facilities there to cook and eat at a table. Walking distance to the city

Not a very good experience, not up to Mantra Standards, Received a room two levels below the standard we booked and paid for, no welcome pack, no smart tv, no hairdryer, no tea towel, no bathroom amenities. Based on our experience we could not recommend Mantra on Hay.

Enjoyed our stay in the spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Very friendly staff. Thank you to Kirsty at front desk for your assistance during our stay and for being so welcoming. Your professionalism has not gone unnoticed.

My husband and I booked a room here on a whim as we had a show in the city. We were able to park our car underground no problem. A few reviews say it's too small, it was a bit tight but we had no issues with our 7 seater SUV. The customer service was excellent. We managed an early check-in. Our room smelt a bit musty upon our first entry but once we aired it out it was fine. A little rundown but everything was clean. One bit of feedback, if milk could be provided alongside tea and coffee staples, even if it was just long-life. We bith wanted a coffee in the morning and needed milk. Apart from that we were happy.

Rooms nice, comfy bed and pillows. bitta grime in shower but washed off easy. I posted a review previously about this hotel. The staff have since contacted me and are doing their best to help resolve my issue, so was a nice change to not have a faceless apology. Nice to not be lost in the corporate world as a number. Even if its not resolvable, im impressed with the effort by the staff to help. Keep up the excellent customer service guys. Sorry for being rude, you didnt deserve it.

Had a really pleasant 4-night stay with family in two apartment rooms during spring. Despite the building showing its age and word of management issues, I actually felt glad we chose this place. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. No problems with water or electricity. Fridge and cooking utensils are available (despite some somehow being left dirty). The veranda was peaceful and nice too. The reception was really friendly as well, although there's this feeling they're overwhelmed. The restaurant seemed to be going through renovations. Didn't try the swimming pool as well. What's most amazing is the location. From here, it's easy to go anywhere around Perth's CBD. It's close to the mall, the bus stops, parks and supermarkets. Just a little walk can take you to the riverside too.

We had a ground floor apartment and instead of a balcony we were in the main courtyard and it was filthy. It looks like it had never been cleaned. The sofa, dining room chairs, armchairs and carpet were disgusting and had never been cleaned. The refrigerator was leaking all over the floor. The staff was pleasant and helpful. It was close to the free bus and easy access. I would not return, nor do I recommend the hotel.

This hotel has no security. Throughout multiple nights we experienced violent fights; screaming and slamming of doors, people running from room to room and even someone attempting to throw themselves from an 8th floor balcony. We were too scared to leave our rooms in case of violence. There is no security, and front desk is closed from 5pm, so there was no one to contact besides the police. In response to our complaints the next day, the hotel's solution was to offer a $50 refund - even though we had booked a 10 day stay. And regardless of our, and other's, complaints, fights and screaming continued the following night. It appears that people were wandering in from off the street and moving about the building freely - exiting the elevator on random floors, following after guests. Very basic rooms, furniture is old and outdated, looks as if some furniture has been removed and not replaced. Rooms reek of musk and mould this is not helped by the fact that windows are bolted shut and cannot be opened. As a result, air conditioner must be used constantly, which also emits a mouldy and rotting smell. Rubbish is not removed from rooms, guests must take their own rubbish to the basement for disposal. Otherwise, it is left to pile up for entire stay. Very disappointing, we thought that the 4 star rating on google and other hotel booking sites would indicate a high standard, but that was not the case. Good location and easy access to bus stop. Do not stay here.

I currently write this as I am staying at Mantra on Hay, unable to sleep as people keep banging on my apartment door. I feel unsafe as a solo traveller; particularly as there is no hotel staff after 20:30. My first impressions of the hotel/aparthotel is that it was okay, quite dull/dark interior but staff were friendly enough on arrival. As another review mentioned, there is a smell or urine in the first entrance. There are two homeless individuals that appear to live on benches across the street however they appear to keep themselves to themselves. I arrived around 18:30 and walked to try and find somewhere for groceries; the immediate surrounding area felt pretty unsafe, with a individual who appeared to be under the influence of drugs trying to approach me. In saying this, a main shopping area is a 20 minute walk away; just ensure you are back in the apartment before sunset. The apartment itself is okay; has everything you might need but, again it is dull and there was quite a musty odour. All in all, I don't recommend this accommodation, especially not for families or solo travellers.

Wasn't gonna post a review bit I have no choice now. Rooms mint, location mint , service absolutely appalling. To book 2 rooms almost 5 months in advance and to be told we only have one. Not to mention $200 deposit which I still haven't received back from the hotel and were 1 month on even after ringing then 2 times about it

This is the worst Mantra I’ve ever stayed at. Water freely dripping from the ceiling. Wet carpet with puddles and a horrible stench of mould and dampness. Rooms are dated and not even cleaned properly. No milk, no dishwashing liquid. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. I wouldn’t even give it a 1. I stayed 1 night of an intended 5 night stay and had to move my family and I. Never going back.

The Perth mint is a 2 min walk on the same street ,Post Office and Lotto ticket place nearby and a sushi bar where people line up to get the food. Comfortable and good staff. Fast lifts.

Always treat me with respect and make my stay pleasant. Covid has taken a toll on their full services. However it still is a fantastic stay. Thanks to all the staff both front and backroom.

Excellent hotel for families with older children. We booked a two bedroom and it was clean, spacious and well furnished. It had a small kitchen area and a nice deep sink with all the amenities in place. Location was great with eateries nearby and a supermarket. Service staff were proactive and helpful. The cafe does a great breakfast and has such nice ambience. Couldn’t have asked for more - went above our expectations. Would stay again!

Got upgraded to an apartment which had a lot of space. The bathroom was a little dated which always makes for a less comfortable stay. I shared the floor with several rooms of young men who spent a lot of time in the hallway. Hotel management were quick to keep their antics from getting out of control. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for 2 nights in the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment . Pros Friendly wonderful staff central location great food!!! while out the cleaner had been which was a nice surprise. Cons When booking it stated the room is suited for up to 5 people but yet we had to organise a trundle bed as it only had 2 large doubles. The beds are just two single beds put together. We received a letter under the door stating the restaurant and bar will be closed and only room service available which was disappointing because we were planning on having a few drinks down at the bar. (This was not mentioned when booking) That night we realised the restaurant/bar was closed due to a sports team private function. In the morning we arrived for breakfast only to find that 90% of the restaurant has been closed off for the same reason. We were instructed to either use only two tables they had made available or sit outside in 10° temperature. We witnessed guests walking off when told they had to sit outside. We spent over $1000 for 2 nights and left feeling like second class citizens. Wont be back or recommending.

We had a wonderful experience staying for a week. We got a good deal for parking and it was very easy to travel from that location out… Walking down along Hay Street was relaxing… And opposite with a nice Thai food eatery and BWS, dinner and drinks are settled….

Stayed 1 night, power went out for around 3 hours but the elevators, etc had power, after power was restored a loud high pitched noise was coming from the ceiling light though some earplugs & earplug friendly headphones saved the day. Lest I got decent rest as room was fresh and no need to do a callout for any nightmarish lavatory issues

I stayed just before pandemic accomodation 2 bedroom apartment was nice However the additional charge for parking. Was Nothing short of highway robbery absolutely disgusted am looking at another trip to Perth but this place will be off my list Purely due to these parking charges

The hotel room was large and got plenty of sun. The furniture is cheap and rather uncomfortable. The king sized beds are just two twins pushed together. The shower floor was filthy and the rest of the hotel room was very clean either.
