My
partner
and
I
stayed
here
a
few
weeks
back.
On
the
evening
of
our
arrival,
I
was
surprised
to
be
met
with
a
COVID
declaration
that
had
to
be
signed,
which
seemed
ridiculous,
I
thought
we
were
beyond
that,
but
Riverside
has
not
caught
up
with
the
times.
The
lady
at
the
front
counter
did
not
make
the
check
in
process
inviting,
and
questioned
how
it
was
possible
that
we
had
no
residential
address
(we
were
moving
from
interstate),
which
I
had
to
explain
to
her.
The
room
was
adequate,
but
beyond
that
would
be
a
stretch.
We
stayed
in
a
1
bedroom
1
bathroom
suite,
but
it
was
rather
small
and
dated.
The
paint
could
do
with
a
freshen
up,
and
the
lighting
is
something
from
the
early
90s
that
was
meant
to
ooze
luxury,
but
now
it
just
looks
very
dim,
and
ages
the
room.
Downlights
would
do
a
world
of
wonders
to
brighten
up
the
spaces.
Honestly,
the
whole
place
felt
like
a
retirement
village,
there
was
handrails
in
the
shower
and
toilet,
which
diminished
the
space
in
the
shower,
additionally
the
cheap
conversion
from
individual
taps
in
the
shower
to
a
mixer,
made
the
space
smaller
again.
I
am
not
a
big
person,
but
when
I
turned
in
the
shower,
I
either
elbowed
it
to
cold
or
off.
If
2
of
you
need
to
shower
and
get
ready
in
the
morning,
don't
plan
on
both
of
you
having
hot
showers.
The
hot
water
service
is
tiny,
and
does
not
take
long
to
run
out,
and
neither
of
us
have
long
showers.
The
room
wasn't
very
clean
either,
the
toilet
had
ants
on
the
floor,
there
was
long
black
hair
on
the
floor
and
the
roof
of
the
shower
(we
are
both
blonde
so
it
wasn't
ours)
and
the
drain
in
the
floor
between
the
toilet
and
the
wall
was
gross.
Make
sure
you
read
the
signs
in
the
room
when
you
get
there,
you'll
get
little
surprises
like;
it's
a
$30
surcharge
if
you
leave
any
dishes
in
the
kitchen.
The
complimentary
in
room
wifi
was
good
for
watching
Netflix.
For
those
intending
to
stay
a
little
longer,
there
is
an
onsite
laundry,
but
its
not
in
your
room,
its
not
complimentary,
and
its
not
cheap!
Its
coin
operated!
Whilst
they
have
a
fresh
supply
of
coins
at
reception,
there
is
a
laundromat
around
the
corner
under
the
24hr
IGA
that
is
a
bit
more
modern,
takes
eftpos
and
even
has
its
own
app
(take
note!).
This
was
the
first
time
staying
anywhere
where
I
have
had
to
pay
to
use
a
laundry
(not
a
laundry
service)
and
it's
$7
a
load
as
well.
If
you
use
the
onsite
parking
beware,
there
is
a
small
sign
you
might
not
notice,
your
car
might
end
up
covered,
and
I
mean
covered,
in
bird
sh!t!
We
had
a
rental,
and
it
was
washed
before
it
was
returned
otherwise
I
would
have
been
embarrassed.
Overall,
the
room
was
okay,
the
location
was
absolutely
fantastic,
and
the
ladies
that
were
at
reception
when
I
checked
out
were
really
lovely
and
super
accommodating
with
our
mountain
of
luggage.
For
a
couple
of
nights
where
you
want
location,
its
great,
but
I
will
not
be
staying
again.
