I regretted I didn’t take a photo, the price is cheap, $20ish /night but you get what you pay for. The six bed dorm was totally a refugee camp, no natural light, no fresh air in the room, the window was just decoration with no practical use at all. The room stinks and just right next to the kitchen so you hear EVERYTHING, and smell EVERYTHING. Let’s say that’s normal, how about let’s talk about the kitchen facility, not even enough chair to sit down in the dining area, fridge is small probably only for 40 people use but they have way more than 40 backpackers stay there for sure and the food you put in will immediately disappear because others need to push your food so hard inside to get some room for themselves. The bathrooms are clean I have to give them that, the receptionist was very helpful and let me change a room after my complaint, I only hope that the owner could improve the environment. A lot of people were complaining about the rent went up even tho the living condition just got worse and worse, they still decided to charge you more.

The good side - Its located in a convenient location which is nearby to restaurants and attraction places. A great place to meet and chat with other backpackers from all around the world. The bad side - The walls are thin and isn't sound proof. For those staying at Ground Floor, it gets noisy at night especially when you are trying to sleep. You can hear people chatting and laughing. Plus the sounds from the TV in the hall are loud too. And also I think perhaps the management can put more lockers into the room so that the rest of the travellers don't have to scatter their things all around the room.

Cheap, good location and the bathrooms are quite clean. That's pretty much everything positive about this place. This place is simply way overcrowded to have a comfortable stay. No room in the kitchen cupboards and fridges to store your stuff, the same problem in the rooms where you can barely put your backpack somewhere it's not gonna be moved by someone else. They have a private car park which is nice in this location but get ready to maneuver (we decided to spend a bit more and park our car in the car park nearby). As always, you get what you pay for but if you can afford it I would recommend spending a bit more to get a better place

They cancelled my booking for no reason, First they sent me a email saying they was no guarantee for my booking and they'll do there best on the day, but I didn't want to be left with no bed after a 20 hour flight, I ask how come they couldn't guarantee me a bed for the night, no reply, I called and they said it's out side office hours send me a text and I'll get back to you, no reply, I do not recommend this hostel to anyone

One of the cheapest place to stay in Perth. It is well located, in the center of the city and not too far from the river which is nice. However, rooms were not being cleaned and are small. You can barely move around (plus many of the lockers were broken). Also, beds are extremely small and very uncomfortable. As for the toilets and bathrooms, it was alright. Regarding the kitchen, it is not often being cleaned as well and fridges and cupboards are overcrowded. Finally, the common area is also dirty. Found many cigaret butt on the sofa. Outside, people leave their empty glasses, beer bottles and all sort of garbage and it stays like this for 4 days in a row. To sum up, it is a cheap place to stay but you get what you paid for.

A total lack of security, someone broke into the hostel and stole my locked ebike. The manager didn’t care and he didn’t even want to share the footage with the police. Basically anyone can open the main door. Also, we saw plenty of indigenous people breaking into the facilities trying to steal things from us. This place is totally overpriced, there’s no proper customer service and there are serious maintenance issues, like the filthy sofas, poor WIFI connection or broken bathrooms. The manager just doesn’t care about backpackers and he’s not willing to spend any money on improving his business. The two Asian receptionists, Henry and Fumi, are great, but there’s one unpredictable Italian guy who can be really mean, making awful comments and also having inappropriate behaviour with the female guests. I really hope they improve all of these things happening at the hostel.

The staff was really nice, explained everything every time I called. Management has proposed a complete handout with all the details. I got a big room and enough space for me to do yoga every day!

My room was freezing cold and my friends room is so hot. They said they will fix the air conditioning but they still haven't done anything. They just need to clean the filters but the owner is too lazy to do anything. If they would hurry up and fix it I will happily change my review

It was my home away from home for a week. Staff was super friendly, all the other guests were fun to hang out with, and it's walking distance from great restaurants/ seawall. If I come back to Perth I will stay there again!

Arrived well after check-in time and our room wasn't ready, but as compensation we were upgraded and got some free drinks in the minibar.

The room is very pleasant and clean. The reception staff was great!

Convenient location - close to the place where I wanted to go. The foyer is nice and big, bright and welcoming.

Terrible. Absolutely TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT. The owner/manager is VERY RUDE and only cares about money, zero customer service. The hostel is average at most, you get what you pay for.. could be improve with very little money but I don’t see that happening. Do not stay here.

I found the hotel a great place to stay. Checkin was easy, the staff were very welcoming, the room was spacious and with a view of the river and tower bridge, it was a fabulous view.

Great Little Hostel with Nice TV area and car parking available at rear. Also comfortable Beds 🛌 and Friendly staff.

Just my opinion but these rooms have one of the most beautiful views in Australia.

The staff was really kind! Also, the people who stay there were friendly backpackers (not creepy people like in other places...). The bathrooms clean and comfortable. Next time, I would recommend to do the cleaning in room frequently.

Arrived late afternoon,key was in envelope waiting on entry,my room was to the standard of a busy backpackers,service was fantastic,I dealt with ferdinando who was extremely helpful👍every1 i chatted to had been staying for a while& some had even come back,easy place to stay if your travelling alone,I got a room to myself,,best thing to do,I booked a room for 2 with 1 dble bed, I got a room with double bunk bed & another set of bunks,just for myself,

This place has a such a great, relaxing vibe. Everyone is so friendly, it feels like a big share house. Place is kept really clean by the wonderful staff. Definitely would recommend!

Spent an amazing 2 weeks in this hostel. The people were great and Marco the manager was very accomodating and helpful. It is conveniently located near convenience stores, BWS, small food shops, post office, etc and less than 3min away from the bus stop to the centre of Perth or 20min walking. Pros: The place was quite clean and rooms are large. Cons: The common spaces tend to become relatively messy at the end of the day and the beds aren't the most comfortable in the world, but overall I would definitely recommend staying at this hostel and I would definitely go back there myself!

Best place to stay in Perth. They have a new manager, Chris, who's always making sure to get the best out of your stay. They also started placing new matrasses in the rooms, which is really good. It's also the cleaniest hostel I've stayed in Perth. WiFi is strong and reliable. Next time I'll be back :)

Best backpackers that i've been to. Friendly staff that are always attentive and go the extra mile to make things comfortable. Simple things like offering ice cream and food on hot days show excellent customer service. Staff clean common areas everyday and the toilets and facilities are modern Prime location where a free yellow cat bus takes you from Wellington street all the way to perth main station in 5 to 10 minutes. Extremely satisfied
