Hi everyone, I will update the reviews a bit after spending 5 months in this house. House: When you arrived in front of the house, it looked like a cracked house or was just abandoned. The front gate obviously has a code, but don't worry if you haven't received this code; the gate is broken and repaired every 6 months, so you can enter without problem. After, the main door always opened in summer because there was no air conditioning and it was very insulated, so to avoid boiling like an egg, there was no choice but to let all the doors and the windows open. For the corridors, magnificent ceiling mouldings and dust mats are on the floor. Kitchen: For the next big kitchen, with over 4 people, you can't move anymore, like a rave party. Cooking in this place is like a lottery; you have 1 chance in 10 to find all the stuff you need for making your meal. I hope you're not afraid of the insect. Sometimes our friends, the cockroaches, wander around in the drawers. If you love Disney, Remy from Ratatouille runs around the front door. Anyway, the kitchen has three induction hobs, one break, one almost burn, and one uncomfortable for cooking. For the price of a night, you win a treasure hunt for your cooking stuff in the kitchen. Room: For the rooms, you need to be strategic or rich. 12 rooms are in this house. 1-2 too close to the front door; 3-4 not too bad but expensive; 5-6 are a nightmare. These rooms overlook the living room and the kitchen. Room 7 is one of the best, but you're close to the bathroom. Rooms 8 and 12 are the best, but some are expensive and specific rooms. I let you in on the surprise if you still want to go there. ! Warning ! Good point n°1 : each room has its own fridge and freezer. But they never clean it. Bunk beds with awful mattresses, lots of requests to the owner for swapping them without response. Bathroom/Toilets: 2 toilets and 2 showers for men, the same for women. I think that's the only place where, when you finish your shower, you feel dirtier than before. Location: Good point n°2: the location is very good; you are close to every store, bar, nightclub, and tram/bus station. pretty quiet neighbourhood. Atmosphere: Good point n°3: The only reason why I'm staying in this place so much time is because the people in this place are awesome, very friendly, funny, and kind to each other. Service/Security: For the service and for the security, both are non-existent. The front gate is useless; the luggage storage outside is useless. If you need nothing, you can contact the owner. No reception, no consideration from the owner; you are just a number who going into this account number. Price: If you still haven't understood, that's place is very overpriced for the services. Also, for the first time in my life, the price increased between November and February for the summer, and the owner said, "It's to buy new equipment." No one has ever seen this new equipment. This hostel was the most dirty, unkempt, place I've stayed at. There was a pathway down the hall with dirt on both sides, and the room had a layer of dust covering every horizontal space. There is no reception. None. No one working there ever talked to me in person. Checkout is at 9am, for some godforsaken reason. You are expected to make your bed when you arrive, and undo your bed and place it in the laundry room when you're checking out at 9am. If this place was $10 a night I could understand it more. There is a reason everyone staying there called it The Prison.

Absolutely disappointing. Poor cleaning conditions, bedbugs, and more. Security: The front gate is broken so anyone can enter. The same thing happens with the front door. Cleanliness: There is an incredible amount of filth along the main hallway (lots of dust, shoes, plastic wrappers, food bags). The doors of the rooms are also completely dirty and splattered with dirt. It is evident that daily cleaning is not carried out and given the state of the place, no guest cares to take care of it. Bathrooms: The only area that appears to have been renovated, however, mold is evident. Room: Total lack of cleanliness, the wooden floorboards are broken, there is a large amount of dust and lint on the floor, also hair and plastic wrappers. The bed was infected with bedbugs that bit us all over the body. Really horrible experience. There is a refrigerator in the room that is completely dirty inside. Common spaces: We did not use them since we were there for a short time and the poor condition of the place and the disorder made us prefer to be outside as much as we could. Temperature: It is torture to sleep in summer. There is no AC and no airflow comes in through the window. There was a fan in the room but it was in no way sufficient. It’s a shame that the owners don’t care at all about the place they run. Since there is a huge rental crisis they take advantage of backpackers knowing that there will be always someone to pay for a place to stay. So it’s not even cheap, you don’t get what you pay. Would never recommend anyone to stay here.

I am really happy to stay here, People Are nice and helpful and I feel home. Maybe it seems hard to find a place to stay in Perth but there is always an opportunity because people help you. Just experience this place and enjoy

Nice room, comfy bed, friendly guests and it was great that there was a ceiling fan in my room especially for summer time.

First time booked a hostel with no reception desk. Looks just like other hostels, the only difference is it needs password to open the doors. Very nice. Clean and cozy. People are friendly:)

More of a share house vibe than a hostel, which I prefer. Well equipped kitchen, books and games, small private outdoor area and gorgeous, clean bathrooms. Love that there's codes for the doors so I don't have to worry about keys or cards. Roxanne is quick to reply and very helpful.

Stayed in double room with a comfy bed. Great location, very clean and tidy hostel. Host is very responsive, so even though there is no reception, there is a hassle free check in and queries are answered promptly. Friendly people with a communal vibe :)

It's a small hostel, a clean bathroom and bedroom. winter is a little cold , you need more wear.

We stayed in a twin room for 5 nights The room has everything you should need, ours had a personal fridge which was great. The common areas were very homely and cleaned to a good standard in the mornings. The hostel is only a short walk away from everything in Northbridge such as the numerous bars and cafes. The host was very responsive on Facebook messenger. We actually extended our stay here and would stay here again.

Nice hostel, perfectly located in the center of Perth. There is a big common room with plenty of space to meet people, eat, play games and a wonderful terrace. I slept well and enjoyed my staying.

Even If the rooms are kind of small the room is very clean and you can find a fridge and air con in your room. The check in is online and you have to pay 50 $ dollars for deposit. If it doesn't a problem for you. I can recommend this place for you.. Comfortable clean close to city center...

Very nice place, a lot more chilled than a normal hostel. Good size kitchen with all the equipment to use. The double rooms that I was in are very spacious, you have a big fridge in your room, beds are pretty comfortable. A nice amount of people staying there. Has a out door back yard kinda thing, benches and tables to eat or relax. The location is perfect, literally less than 10 mins till your on the cbd. I would recommend to check this place out.

This place is GREAT. I love the atmosphere, how international it is and all. The beds are super comfy and the way it’s managed is actually quite good. Feels like a home… glad I came.

Super cheap place to stay and call home. I stayed in a private double room, which was neat, clean, tidy and very spacious with plenty of shelving. The large fridge in the room was a nice surprise too! Roxanne (booking coordinator) was very accommodating, especially when I extended my stay. Actually, she went over and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. Of course, I took advantage of the downtown location and found great food and drinks close by. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely do it again!

Really clean and cosy place, it’s more like a big sharehouse than a hostel so feel really like home. Bathroom are all new and always super clean same as kitchen. Highly recommend !

This hostel is really clean ! The room is nice, with enough space and place to put your clothes and other stuff. The bathrooms are good also, always clean. I like the kitchen, clean and with a lot of tools to cook. Just one negative point, the oven, too little. If you have the chance to come by, you’ll see it’s more like a big sharehouse with nice people 👍

There is no reception. This is the worst thing could be in a hostel. It is extremely dirty. The kitchen does not look clean. The rooms are messy. There is nobody to check and warn people. I’m sorry but I have never stayed such a place worse than this.

Rooms aren’t clean, bad smell from the fridge. No aircon!! And not allowed to write your opinion to the owner. They won’t accept refunds, and not allowed to use credits. Really bad experience.
