Clancy’s is a well known establishment and this joint proudly bears the quality that the others are known for. While not all dishes on the menu are a hit, there are a few that you really can’t go wrong with - the chilli mussels are some of the best that you can have, with generous portion too, their chicken parmi is one of my favourite, and their fish tacos are amazing. There’s usually a very casual vibe in the place and there are plenty of seats to place a large group too. Staff are friendly and there’s ample parking in the area. Some nights have live music which turn it into a great place to spend a Friday night or weekend. If you haven’t been here yet (to any of them) then do yourself a favour and pay a visit!

Tried the seafood platter for 1 and the fried mice, it was more than enough food for two people! Everything on the platter was delicious, and we were shocked that it came with the same fancy entree scallops - they were pan seared to perfection, and on a delicious cauliflower puree. The chilli mussels were delicious, a mild heat that built up to a medium and the sauce tasted home made with lots of wine! The smoked salmon salad tasted fresh with a lovely Asian sesame dressing. Fish and chips top notch too, and the bbq prawns were good. The fried mice were very large for jalapeno poppers, and absolutely stuffed with cream cheese. One was normal spiciness for a jalapeno popper, another was unexpectedly extremely spicy so watch out! Overall highly recommend you try the seafood platter! It's probably the best seafood platter I've had in Perth, and the serving for one can be shared between two.

Tried all of the house wines - the house white was the best. The oysters Kilpatrick were absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was amazing: casual, relaxed, enjoyable and a good volume. Bathrooms were incredibly clean. The staff were fantastic! The live performer: Moondog - was an absolutely mind blowing artist. Favreau blues performances. The sound technician from Clancys did a wonderful job of setting up for the artist and making sure he sounded great throughout the venue. The Sheep dog & Coconut Dead Man's Fingers were both also delicious & highly recommended served on the rocks or neat. 100% returning. You'd be crazy not too.

We thought we'd stroll down to the local, sadly we were disappointed. My Dad's meal came out cold, we needed to ask them to reheat it (it felt as though it had come straight out for the fridge), the seafood platter was average, again the food seemed cold coming out, unsure as to why!? We ordered an entree serve of chicken skewers and they came out last, just as we had finished our main meals, the only plus side was, that was piping hot.... Way too much inconsistency to be fully enjoyed especially for the price. Won't be racing back.

Awesome spot, food tasty, generous serves, staff nice, tidy fun decor. Clear great value specials, other than ordering food and drinks in different spots which can sometimes make things take a little longer, no complaints. Quiz night Mondays are a highlight. Wouldn't hesitate to plan a group meal here.

Love ❤️ a good family feed at Clancy's. Conveniently located near Canning Bridge, sufficient parking nearby, great variety in the menu. Portions were generous and food was freshly prepared 😋 we will definitely be back again soon!

Good feeds, great service and nice atmosphere. Would give 5 stars but the only down side is the kids meals come with a glass of juice, not a juice box.. not ideal for an 18 month old.. juice everywhere and a sad thirsty child. Luckily no smashed glass everywhere...

The place to go for good fish tacos. We got the prawn and fish tacos and shared 1 of each together. Good range of local beer on tap. Will always pop in, when in the area, to get our taco fix. Parking on a weekday is almost non existant which makes it hard. Even the local Wilson's Parking is all reserved for local businesses.

The $6 fish taco special is very misleading on the QR code food ordering app. The photo shows two tacos, so one would assume it’s $6 for two. I ordered what i thought was two serves of two tacos as pictured, and we ended up waiting a long time for the second serve to come out before being informed when chasing this up with a staff member that it’s $6 for one individual taco. My companion ordered a drink on the app and had to follow this up too after waiting for 15 minutes. The venue was not even busy at all. Please fix this guys.

Just wanted to question how you can charge $23 per glass for a glass of wine when the bottle retails at about the same price?? It was the FH Highbury Chard. Might need to check that. I feel more than a little fleeced.

We arrived back from Rottnest Island around 630pm when most of the restaurants at E shed were already closed. So we were looking for restaurants that were still open to have dinner since we were already famished. We came across Clancy's fish pub which opens till late so we went in to check out the menu! & just nice, they have deals every Monday offering '2 for the price of 1' mussels! The queue was manageable and very well maintained. Service was prompt such that in no time we were seated and waiting for our food already. We ordered a set of beer battered fish n' chips and 2 mussels. While waiting, we also went to the drinks bar to see what they have to offer. Their staff recommended us a few of their beers and let us try before we decide what to order. We settled on the Perth Local which has a light malt aftertaste and wasn't too bitter. Thumbs up for the service & the quality! Next up, came our mussels and fish n' chips. The mussels were great and came with 2 baguette slices for dipping. The portions were big but it was so good we had no problem finishing 1 bowl each! The beer battered fish was a tad too bland but was still decent but we will probably try out other dishes the next time we are back. On the other hand, the chips were well seasoned and the tartar sauce goes very well with it (& the fish) so it sort of made up for the fish. All in all, we had a pleasant experience at Clancy's fish pub. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who is around this area!

Updated review Sept 2021 (Apple Cross) Looks like the menu has had a facelift. Started with fried calamari and Fried Mice (Stuffed hot peppers yummmo) Shared a seafood platter, whitings, crab linguini and lamb shank. All the dishes were cooked well. Lamb shank fell off the bone. Only issue was some of the mains came out too late. Great beer selection.

I love Clancy's! I've never had a bad meal here and the staff are friendly 🙂 their fish tacos are a favourite of mine, highly recommend. I love the different deals they do throughout the week and the quiz night on Mondays is always so much fun! Can't wait for my next visit 😊

Some really nice beers on tap and great staff . A little let down by the food . I had a pasta that was just overdone and too many chilli seeds . Others at the table fared better with a huge quite well done chicken parmy and the cheese burgers went down well .

Came all the way to Clancy's to get some takeaway to go sit near the water and enjoy a little family picnic lunch as a last minute option. Ordered the takeaway, nasi goreng, and some fish and chips. Got told that they don't give out takeaway cutlery so my partner came back and told me and then we decided to eat there instead after discussions. Once we received the takeaway we went to sit down, and they then told us we weren't allowed to sit inside and eat the takeaway they just gave us because it goes against policy. Didn't explain what the policy was. I really do not understand how you cannot give out takeaway cutlery? Especially for a rice dish? Or let us eat the food that literally just came from your kitchen 2 seconds ago. Now we've had to go spend more money on buying cutlery from the IGA. Food was absolute rubbish. Absolutely appalling. Serves of food was little to NOTHING. everything kids sized and adult priced

Mussels were good. Staff were great. Shame it's $5 for bread, after paying $40 for the mussels! What a joke. Covered outdoor seating has changed and you can't sit there in the rain anymore. Fries mice, now only 3. What the hell happened Clancy's!?!

Beers are great. Unfortunately the beef burger was tiny for $24.00! Yes they are on a brioche bun, doesn't mean the burger has to made be so small. Best fried onion rings I have ever had...

Not very tasty food and overcooked chilli mussels *Update The manager gave us a $50 voucher and we went back 2 weeks later. Unfortunately once again we were disappointed I ordered the squid and asked for salad and chips on the side to make it a a main meal my salad and chips never turned up I asked the wait staff about it and they said they made a mistake and can make it but it will be a 20 min plus wait as they were busy. I left starving and got Maccas on the way home. My partner had the crab pasta and he enjoyed his. We ordered a lemon lime and bitter jug and it was terrible it tasted like chemicals. We also got the schezwan ribs and they were pretty nice. Overall we won't go back as I feel it's not worth the money

Service was good, unfortunately food was less than average. This place from 2003 to 2012 was the tops. Then it went american diner esque good burgers but missed the mark with everything else. Now everything misses the mark. $15 pints, below average food for top dollar. 5-10 years ago this place set the benchmark. Platters were to die for. Now its a joke. Won't be back anytime soon.

Our favourite local. Amazing food, great selection of beer and wine but most importantly dog people. Always go above and beyond to make our fur children welcome.

Had an epic lunch today at Clancys Applecross. The fish was amazing and the squid was incredible. Had Snapper this time and was cooked perfectly. Always have great food here, keeps me coming back.

The experience as a whole was a real disappointment. Food taste below average and zero service from staff. For a food bill that was over $200.00 some customer service would have been nice and tastier food.

Title: Declining Quality and Portion Sizes at Clancy's Fish Pub in Applecross I have been a loyal patron of Clancy's Fish Pub in Applecross for the past decade, drawn to its vibrant atmosphere and delightful seafood dishes. However, I must express my deep disappointment in the recent changes made by the management. These changes, including a major menu overhaul and a decline in food quality, have left a bitter taste in my mouth. One of the most noticeable alterations is the reduction in portion sizes. It seems that Clancy's has decided to prioritize maximizing their profits over satisfying their customers. Sadly, every meal now arrives with half the amount of food it used to, leaving me feeling shortchanged for the same price. It is disheartening to witness such a blatant attempt to cut corners at the expense of customer satisfaction. Additionally, the introduction of a new chef has had a negative impact on the overall food quality. The dishes I once savored and considered exceptional have been replaced with lackluster renditions. The use of inferior quality produce is evident, as flavors have become dull, textures have suffered, and the presentation lacks the finesse it once had. Clancy's Fish Pub has lost the essence that made it a standout destination for seafood lovers. Considering these changes, I am seriously contemplating whether or not to return to Clancy's Fish Pub in the future. It is my hope that the management will take notice of the dissatisfaction among loyal customers and rectify the menu alterations. Restoring the original portion sizes and sourcing quality ingredients would be a step towards winning back the trust and loyalty of patrons like myself. Clancy's Fish Pub in Applecross holds a special place in my heart, and it pains me to witness its decline. I genuinely hope that the management listens to the feedback of their customers and works towards restoring the once-great dining experience that made this venue our favorite catch-up bar for a decade.

The specials, tuna and salad, and trevally salad chips were excellent. Fresh seafood and fresh salad, healthy. The calamari has delicious light batter.

We've been going to Clancy's for two years and used to love the place; the food was good realiable pub food. Not the Ritz and generally more relaxed than the Raffles down the road for a nice 'TGIF' meal. Several months ago around Easter we took visitors there on a Friday night - the place was busy which is normal, but it took around an hour for everyone's meals to arrive. OK so that's life, and it was a holiday, no worries. However my wife ordered the fish tacos, and was eventually served a plate with tortillas that had been cut into tiny 'wedges', not more than a third of what a normal size was. I kid you not. Clearly the kitchen had started to run out and had started to 'economise' on the size by cutting the tortillas down to 30%. Each looked like the segment from a pie-chart. Presumably a pie chart detailing the satisfaction from the meal itself, which also was around 30%. It would have been preferable to have been at least told that we'd be getting after waiting an hour. OK so tonight we decided to give them another go and ordered take away chips. Ordered Large at $9 worth. That's Australian dollars and not pesos or coconuts or sea shells or anything, mind. The attached photos illustrates what arrived. A train-station kiosk sized serving of standard chips, and placed in another giant paper bag. Kind of like when you buy a packet of tic-tacs from Amazon and it arrives in a box that would fit a stereo. 'Oho' I thinks - 'This feels light, I've got someone else's order'. On notifying the serving-personage I was informed that, no, in fact this was my order. Luxury chips, presumably at Applecross prices. The better end of Applecross - the end with the water views and the ugly houses. I wasn't aware that Heston was in the kitchen. 'Sorry mate - we just do two sizes now'. Only have to assume that the size I got was the 'Heart Foundation Approved Regular' rather than a regular-regular. Methinks next time I'll have to put the good slacks on and head back to the Raffles.

It's been over a decade since my last below average experience to a Clancy's, but co venience and extreme hunger drew me to one yesterday. Clancy's adopts the 'find a table, order at food bar, order at drinks bar' restaurant model. One of my least favourite, because you end up over ordering to avoid queueing later. Nevertheless, I had the Seafood Laksa, which tasted good but was more of a soup than anything. My companion ordered her desert at the same time as her main and received both at the same time. Timing wasn't very good. In summary. It's OK! A good OK.

We came here today for my partner's birthday and had such a great experience. We were both craving chilli mussels and decided to give Clancy's a shot, definitely weren't disappointed. They were some of the best ones we've ever had! We also tried the Akoya, chicken ribs and fried mice which were super delicious. The staff were so lovely and made my partner feel special on his birthday, we will definitely be coming back!!

Pub food. Menu appears to have been updated recently. Patrons can now order from the table using online ordering. Have to go up to the bar to get service to clean tables or ask for water. Had the vegan burger - delicious! Kids meals are decent size.

Great spot for a casual tea. Cold beer and good menu. Gets noisy inside but outside tables are okay outside of peak afternoon traffic. Friendly and helpful staff. Park on the other side of the highway and walk over the pedestrian bridge, or catch the train and walk up.

Preferred it before the renovations. I pop in very rarely but have done so for 15 years. The food and service is great. Staff always have been wonderful. Nikki remembered me from my last visit 4 years ago. Dog friendly.

Had a lovely experience on Wednesday having lunch with my family. Staff warmly greeted us at the door and made us feel welcomed. Amazing selection of local beers on tap and bar staff give you an informed run down of flavours and types. Stoney looked after our table and made sure we got all of our food on time & were happy w what we got. Will definitely be returning w friends!
