Excellent Presentation of the food.the taste is fine.. but one thing annoyed us some staffs treated us rudely. Just right after served the cake and sang a happy Birthday they asked if we can go as our time is over...... What??? Seriously? Why asked a hot drink if we don't have enough time?🙄 🤷‍♀️

The high tea was ok. The set up looked nice but the food was not overly impressive at all, in fact, my scorn was pretty much half raw. Service was not so great either. We had a one year old baby in high chair but the waiter kept dropping dishes, hot tea even the birthday sparklers in front of her! It’s ok to experience but I won’t go back for high tea.

When you book a particular table but don't get it and have a distracted and inattentive staff member serving you that says they don't know what's happening as they've just returned to work after a week off and treats you like a chore...then the entre comes before the main and half of the mains came 15 minutes after the others... a positive review is difficult. Food was good. Interior/atmosphere interesting. To the staff and management, Sunday or days like today may be your busiest days and you're tested. That's when you need to step up and get the details right. You were saved by the kitchen today.

disappointing service from this Cafe. The staff there are rude, do not prioritise their customers and go out of their way to act superior. If you check all previous 1 star reviews, you will find similar things said. Do not waste your time. Beautiful surroundings not worth the disrespect u receive. Even though I was told I would be given a refund for poor services given, it has been quite some time and I have received no phone call from them nor a refund.

Beautiful venue, gorgeous food and drinks presentation. Three of us went there for lunch, and glad that we booked our table a day before because it was packed. We sat upstairs and it was as good as the ground floor. The temperature was perfect. The service was very lovely, from the host and the waitresses. I think it was better than the first time I came here. Even it took us a while to get our drinks and food, it's understandable because it's very busy. We ordered nasi campur, sambal+omelette and gado-gado for share. The taste wasn't like Indonesian authentic food because it's Oz version, but we loved it. Our whole experience went great and would be happy to come back.

I called a week prior to book for a brunch on a Sunday, expecting it to be a popular time hence why I called a week or more in advance. I was flexible with the time so I said any time was fine as long as I was seated in the downstairs garden area. Well the receptionist totally disregarded my request and seated me and my party upstairs in the dark dingy loft. When we arrived there were several empty tables down in the garden that we walked past. After our brunch which lasted about an hour we left and those SAME tables were still empty. I understand you might have had them reserved but its pretty rude to ignore our request and put us in a place that was not inviting when we easily could have sat in the place we wanted and enjoyed our time more. The only reason we booked this venue was for that atmosphere. It was definitely a situation of hurry up eat and go. The food was good so no complaints there but then to top it off there was no parking in next to the restaurant so we parked on the street (not on the verge) and copped a $95 fine from City of Vincent!!! I saw at least 4 other cars had fines too so be very warned if you are going there your brunch can be very costly!!! I wont be in a hurry to go back its just not worth it. And why is the owner always so stroppy?

I called before the day to book for brunch on Saturday. Today we were seated outside of the restaurant. Luckily, the weather wasn't too hot. We asked the receptionist is there any available tables inside. She said it was fully booked. Okay fine. We were speaking our language to ourselves and she rudely asked us "Can we speak English?" that was so rude and kinda racists! Okay, we didn't take much time to order our meal, but we waited for a long time for the food. Worst of it all, while taking a drink of my juice, I found out that there was chewing gum from the juice, into my mouth! So disgusting!!! When I complained, I was only offered a replacement, and not finding out who purposely spat gum in my drink! This experience was so rushed and disappointing!

I'm absolutely gutted about things place, we stated we had a mothers group attending, as we entered the main host / manager older French lady stated we could leave prams at the perimeter and stated we should get our baby carriers( not sure where the babies going when are eating. ) When we stated our babies would be with us and not away from us, she stated ( it's not all about you...) I asked her to repeat herself as I couldn't believe my ears and did, stated it wasn't ALL about us and they had other people to serve and other service areas to get to.... the food was average, wouldn't switch something out on the breakfast plate and the tea was cold. And couldn't split the bill, seriously. The other staff were all lovely however. Oh and we only had 90 minutes on the table however were leaving as they pointed this out to us We departed and thought to sit outside and day at a table of 4, the had lady again said the table taken and day a couple on the table however was another take also clear not suitable for the prams but did not door the other couple on it. We were going to order further items however basically got moved on. The parking also is terrible. No street parking at the location as for residence only and had to park 2 blocks away. One would say I might be fussy but the experience was one to make us never return to the location. Not happy at all.

What an amazing high tea experience. Beautiful Indonesian style restaurant, amazing food, lovely service, feels like you're not even in Perth. Decent prices and just a great place. A MUST GO!!

A Bali-style restaurant with many discussions on the Internet. All in all it is worth a try but maybe I won’t be back again. We have an a la carte menu and not afternoon tea. The food is not unpalatable but there are not many surprises. The price is slightly higher .because the business is good, the service is not very enthusiastic.

Was really looking forward to going here because I had heard great things about this place. We arrived a tad early for our 11:30 booking. While we waited for other guests, we decided to have a cheeky cocktail. The missus ordered something with gin in it, and I saw tequila and couldn't resist. Both drinks tasted amazing, and the service was incredible. Guests arrived at around 12:00. Shortly after, we were approached by a woman who told us sternly that our table was booked for 1:15, so we better get a hurry on our orders. I didn't know there were time limits on a booked table? Everyone ordered and food & drinks were on the table by 12:30 and I was amazed by such a quick service👏🏾👏🏾 I ordered the Mi Goreng... (i think that's how you spell it) I don't do seafood at all, so I ordered it with chicken... it came out with seafood😒 the waitress apologised and took it back to the kitchen. Around 12:45 I received my meal and it was absolutely amazing, definitely worth what I paid! Did I mention the atmosphere in this joint was incredible?? Anyway, 1:00 pm is approaching and I still haven't finished my meal, let alone the big cocktail tequila I had. By this time I was feeling a bit rushed to finish my food and drink to get out of there by 1:15, I didn't enjoy that👎🏽 I believe we overstayed our welcome in the end but nothing was said🤷🏾‍♂️. All in all, this was a great establishment with some beautiful tasting foods I definitely recommend. ✌🏾 Side note: our guests told us when they arrived that the reception wasn't very pleasant 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

My local friend recommended this place when we are visiting Perth and we decided to give it a try. We came the way here to get the mee goreng but it wasn’t available because they ran out of the noodles 🥹However! The nasi goreng, nasi campur and the beef rendang benedict was absolute divine! I am originally from Malaysia so I would say the food is pretty authentic (my opinion pls don’t come fore me). The food portion is pretty big and the place has really good atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend!!

Sharing my experience after many visits to this popular South East Asian food inspired cafe. It’s located on north side of the Swan River and not far from Perth City. It’s beautifully decorated with mix & match rustic garden furniture, high table & chairs (at the back), and lots of potted plants. I love the atmosphere. Felt like I was dining in a lovely garden. Service was efficient. Staffs were helpful and attentive. The cafe has a great selection for food and drinks. We normally here for a brunch. We love their rendang. I fully recommend the Beef Rendang Curry with rice and Beef Rendang Benedict. They were delish! I also love their Nasi Campur. The cafe also has another seating area upstairs which normally used for private events especially for birthday parties. Their restrooms are always clean.

This was my third breakfast visit. Such a great place! When you walk in you feel the Bali vibes. Great service and food was exceptional. I’m not a coffee drinker so I had a pot of loose leaf chai, which was 👌🏻 I’ve had the fried chicken on waffles the last time and that was great too. Just an all round great place. Highly recommend.

Went there at 9:15 on a Monday morning and it was already busy, parking was at a premium. We already had a booking which was good because there was a line to get in shortly after we got there. Service was spot on and the staff were really good, it was obvious that they were flat out though. The amount of attention from them was just right. All the meals arrived at the same time and were all really good, serving sizes were good. The atmosphere was different from most other places in Perth, the tropical plants and colourful umbrellas are really refreshing. The only problem that we had was trying to figure out where to pay when we left amongst all the plants and statues. Definitely on the goto list of brunch venues.

Service was horrible. We were expected to leave 90min from our booking. How do you expect customers to enjoy if it takes them 1hr to take orders. Our waitress had an attitude and the face to boot. I ordered waffle and chicken. My waffle was so crispy because it was burnt/black at the bottom. Food was so hard to eat was like cutting through cardboard. Only reason why I gave it 2 stars was because I enjoyed the gin for two. Maybe just less ice next time and little more gin. Unfortunately wouldn't race back

The place are different style from the other cafe and restaurants, it’s more design like Bali with plants and some industrial ceiling design. About the food I should say nice presentation but the food is average and is not something you would like to try times to times. The best part of this cafe is desert and lemon passion fruit gateau and their chocolate desert are perfect, you want it to try them every day also the drinks are amazing I tried the French kiss and it was wonderful.

5/5 for whirling you away to another place of relaxation and tranquility. You can’t go past breakfast cocktails and excellent service. 4/5 for the food. While it was tasty it just fell short of the energy and vibe of the interior presentation

Come back after more than two n half year because of Covid. Food is under Indonesia style, even benedict eggs sandwich. The most I like was Nasi Goreng (fried rice) w chicken. The worst was Mi hoon Babi where the noodle was over cooked Good decoration, good service. High price but till full of guests. Supprising to see a Vietnamese dish in the menu. a lunch for share between 4 persons were about A$120. Note: This is compulsory in WA to wear mask and show vaccination certificate to enter a restaurant.

We had high tea for a baby shower upstairs today. Just wanted to share that the service was excellent. Very attentive. It’s a really nice place, great vibes! And the food was amazing! Awesome value high tea compared to other places I have been too. Free flowing tea and coffee included is a bonus! Iced coffee was delicious. Highly recommend! ❤️

LOVE this place!! Fantastic atmosphere and decor, great service and outstanding food. The wee gift shop tucked inside was also a hidden treasure. Great selection of eclectic items and some unique ideas for presents. If you've never been, do yourself a favour and go, but book ahead. It gets busy!

Had a wonderful morning breakfast at Chinta cafe. They have good options for vegetarians. Staff were very welcoming and service was also quick. The ambience is super cool, couldn’t believe that it used to be a garage long time ago converted into a beautiful café. I loved the sneaky entrance😄 They also have a small space for gift shop with heaps of beautiful items. I am surely coming back here again.

Pretty nice cafe, though it gets really crowded on weekend and I recommend to book ahead or come really early. The coffee were decent, the menu has a western brunch with Southest Asian fusion. Was bit disappointed with the Spinch hash with eggs as I thought the potato would done as a hash brown, but its alright. Beef rendang benedict was interesting, does feel wrong but tasted pretty good, never thought of the combo.

Went this morning for brunch. I’m glad that we made a reservation before hand because there was a queue to get in. Despite being so busy, we received exceptional service and the food arrived fast. My French toast was delicious- I would return here.

First time here and can’t believe I have never heard of it or been before - such atmosphere and just an interesting place to eat. The bloody Mary’s are great and so is the mulled wine - best I’ve had ins while. Food was good, service was good and friendly. Food was well priced and tasted good, the curry was great. A negative would have to be the lack of parking - took a while as I parked down a road opposite the restaurant near a child care centre - had to walk - was welcomed after the meal to settle the food and drink.

It’s a little paradise that makes you feel like you’re on a holiday on a tropical island. Ambience is fantastic. Staff are super friendly and attentive. And the food... oh my the food... super delicious. Possibly book ahead of you go and be aware that parking can sometimes be hard to find.

Fantastic food and relaxed service. Could do with a misting system for humid days. We had planned to have a lovely long day only to be told, before eating, that they now have a 2 hour table time limit. I wasn't told this when I booked and there was no apology for that info not being relayed. I don't have a problem with 2 hours, I just needed to know at time of booking by phone. I would have booked elsewhere.

Best high tea experience in Perth. You have to book in advance, as they’re quickly full. The service is exceptional, the staff are so pleasant. Throughout the high tea we were ensured that our tea and coffee were topped up. The food was fantastic quality, with great flavours and variety. Usually high tea offers the typical cakes and finger sandwiches, however at Chinta you get sliders and baos. You leave the experience feeling satisfied and full, rather than wanting more. I highly recommend the high tea experience. The atmosphere is great to spend time with friends and family for a good chat too. Price is reasonable. Parking is easily accessible, however you need to be lucky to grab a spot.

Food was almost as good as the view. Amazing little Cafe tucked away on Scarborough Beach Road. Offers a variety of great tasting food for a reasonable price. Unfortunately the coffee let's it down slightly, not the best roast and quite sure our beans were burnt. Apart from that, the array of items on the menu is great and presentation, particularly of the smoothies, is amazing.

I'm so glad I found this place. A nice zen vibe cafe. The food looked amazing shame we already had our lunch. The staffs were nice in general and the cake and the drinks were nicely presented. Went to Chinta on Valentine's Day and had to wait one hour for our food. Then, when we were half way through eating it, were told we had to leave in 10 minutes because our booking time (90 minutes) was almost up. Luckily food was really ordinary so didn't mind getting up and going.

Will never come back here again. 1) we waited 55 minutes for our food which were their basic dishes 2) chicken tortilla was for $6.50. It was the size of two bites. The flavour was below average. 3) we ordered two nasi goreng. We paid $26 for each. The rice was half the quantity served at a normal store but they charged double the price. Overall the hype is for the ambiance and decoration.

Overall a good place, nice vibe and generally food, with a nice "balinese" touch, however stay away from the crab linguini, the sauce is pure garlic, so much you can't even taste the crab. Everything else is pretty good, Nasi Goreng is great, and even the burger, very tasty. Cakes are fantastic. Service is a bit slow when they're very busy but that's alright. All in all I recommend it, great atmosphere, and generally good food.

A very hipster location with a very generous dollop of ganesh and budth statues mixed in with destressed wood bars and greenery making this barn quite cozy and chic. The food wasn't bad either, a great place for a date. Less emphasis on the authenticity and more what looks and seems 'Asian'. It's a good place to hang out, bloddy Mary was not very flavoursome, best to go to another place for authentic indo food but like I said it's a cool place to be.

Good place for Sunday breakfast. Portion sizes are massive. The “Big Breakfast” really is big. Parking is a b…..ch though. I would hate to be living close to this place. Service was quick and unobtrusive which is always a plus. I’d go back. Although I felt the food might have been a little hotter next time. It might have been sitting on the bench waiting to go for a few minutes I feel. Other than that… it was nice.

Never fails to impress. The local Balinese inspired eatery has an impressive menu. With something for everyone. An all-day breakfast lineup that is outstanding and why not throw in a morning cocktail or two!!

Why this place is full of people and hard to make a book is reasonable. If you want to go to exotic cafe in Perth, should come here. You can feel like in Bali. Food is so tasty but the pricy, so i give it 4 stars instead of 5 stars. We ordered several menus, I recommend for Nasi Campur and Tempura Cauliflower. but rest of them is also good.

Such a nice atmosphere here with holiday feels. Food was lovely and the staff was extra lovely with bright smiles! We ordered food to share and the lovely waitress noticed and approached us before we could. Excellent service! Thank you! 😇😇

I had the honey roasted pumpkin salad and it was delicious! I would have liked a more generous serve of pumpkin, but the pesto and feta were absolutely on point! Definitely book if you want a proper table and leave time to find parking. It's very busy. I definitely want to go back to try all the other yummy things on the menu, not to mention the amazing drinks! Beautiful decor too.

Went with a good friend after she kept raving about it (she had been meaning to go for over a year). Got in around 1:15 as the kitchen closes at 2pm. Service girls were fantastic and after not 5 minutes we ordered the Mee gorang and Beef Rendang with a side of pork Bao buns... food came out not shortly after 10-15 minutes and oh my golly gosh! Presentation was a solid 10, and flavour was also a 10.. I had just come back from Bali and went to some of the best restaurants they have trying all the Rendangs and I can tell you this one took the cake and ran with it. After that the girl came back and asked if we would like to see the dessert menu. I had to just have a look and after seeing it we ordered the cheesecake and the sour cherry tart. Once again I was wowed with the flavour and presentation solid dessert for both of us, not many times I've left a restaurant completely and totally full but it was absolutely worth it! Price was fairly inexpensive and really great work from the kitchen to the service staff 👏 10/10

Went to Chinta for a brunch date. A few of the items were not available from the menu (it was around 12:30pm). Ordered a curry for main and it was average. The cauliflower on the side was the highlight of the entire meal. Nice texture and flavorful. Deco/ atmosphere just reminded me of Bali, absolutely beautiful but food was a bit overpriced.

Great experience, Food was Awesome with a choice of Western and or Indonesian Cuisines. Served by the owner at the Cafe, she was professional and also friendly. This Cafe also has a good little Homewares shop attached. Will definitely come back there !!

Went to Chinta for a brunch with my workmates. After went there 3-4 times but it was too busy for us to have the table, Ordered a main and it was average. The food presentation was the highlight of the entire meal. Nice texture and flavorful. Deco/ atmosphere just reminded me of Bali, absolutely beautiful.

This is a very special and unique restaurant. The moment you walk into this place, it captures you with its amazing atmosphere and decor. They mainly offer Asian cuisine. Food was fantastic, flavourful and beautifully presented. The staff were helpful, attentive and friendly. Really love the vibe of this place. Should try red curried duck, pork belly mango salad, nasi campur, Augus steak and chargrilled chicken.

Service was genuinely friendly. Food was quality and good value. Refreshingly different to Perth's general cafe scene. Not pretentious and the setting is awesome too.

Beautiful place, disappointed with the meal, chicken over done & dry and could not taste Tandori? No Salmon available for already ordered meal so meals came out separately, lunch for 2, $120, 1 wine, 1 mocktail, I probably won't dine here again, however service was great.

Had very high expectations of this place from the reviews of various facebook groups, was a little dissapointed with the food overall for the price. Lacked flavour and freshness. Food also took quite a while to come out. Apparently head chef was off that day and they are under new management also. Was still an enjoyable lunch, but could have been better.

👍 Edit: January 2023, we came again and was slightly disappointed. The classic scrambled eggs used to be a firm favourite. However, with the mixing up of the menu you now have to order eggs and toast separately. And the toast was so disappointing. Flat. Almost like cardboard. And I ordered the sourdou...

🫤 A cute little spot for very basic breakfast. But I will say about the pancakes, or rather pancake.. paid $19 for a single pancake cut in half 💀 Glad I had some cut grapes and a caramelised banana to make up for it tho… Went into the city after to find somewhere else to eat as was starving
