One of the places I visited when I was in Perth was Voodoo Coffee, I went here for breakfast and I got Iced Coffee & Plain Croissant ☕️🥐 The coffee was decent and I liked the sustainable packaging, the croissant was buttery too! The place was snug but nicely decorated, so don’t expect to always get a chair, but there were plenty of seats on the shopping centre’s area next to this cafe (near the elevators).

Thought I would try something different today and I was not disappointed. This could easily become my new local for my mid-morning pick up. The coffee was excellent. I had a medium size with an extra shot and the strong coffee taste I was after. Their small, medium, large sizes are all what I consider to be size accurate and appropriate. The service was friendly and quick. Inside atmosphere was funky and appealing. There are a few undesirables hanging around outside but that’s pretty common for this street. Highly recommend trying the coffee.

The coffee was excellent (really very good indeed) but the service was appallingly slow given how few customers there were. Staff were very assertive about seeing a vaccine passport. Perhaps this rigid attention to detail explains both the good coffee and the slow service. OK. Second visit a few days later. The coffee is still great. Service speed much improved with a similar number of customers. Still surprisingly assertive about vaccine passports - I say surprisingly because most other cafes are more chilled about it.

Have often seen posts of people asking where you can get coffee late in the arvo or night…well Voodoo Coffee Perth is open until 10pm, daily. 🤯 I didn’t try the coffee as it was too late in the arvo for me personally but my partner had an espresso and said it was strong AF 🤭, I had a hot chocolate, which was delicious! And of course the little one had a babyccino. I would definitely go back. ☕️ ✅

I've been here a few times, the ambience is cool. I really love the coffee, they've got great beans, though a simple latte art would suffice since it's quite an advertised cafe targeting coffee goers. I'm not celiac but hopefully there's more choices on gluten free snacks. There's room for more improvements and would still recommend :) Location is convenient to public transport.

I regular this corner shop. Every other visit to the city. Today it was an almond milk latte and croissant. Baristas are knowledgeable and swift to serve. To their credit; located on one of the busiest streets in Perth. Coffees are always consistent, quick, and well made. On the rare occasion I pick up a baked good for that extra errand running boost. Especially the muffins and croissants. Side note: their branding and decor is my fav in Perth. Get some stickers Voodoo. I’d love to pass em out and sport them on my computer. Haha NOTE** OPEN LATE!!

Really not a fan of the cardboard lids they use. Feels gross on the lips and looks even worse once having a sip. Not sure of the alternatives but the whole eco movement has gone too far in the wrong direction.

Great coffee first off. If you're ever in the city, looking for a good, quick coffee, this is the place to go. Atmosphere is great. Great decor, great vibe. Great location for walking traffic only. I will say however, the place is a little undermaintained, and the staff weren't as welcoming as I would expect. Given, I was only for a takeaway coffee, but it was just a cold transaction. For that reason, it drops a star, but it could be raised with some elbow grease and a smile. I will reiterate, it was a f*n good coffee.

I was looking for coffee and a few minutes quietly to myself before heading back to the hotel. I found the Voodoo Cafe was exactly what I was looking for. My honey latte was the perfect temperature, flavour and strength, made so well I ordered a second before I left and it was the same. I also had a great conversation with the beautiful Tiffany before leaving. I fully recommend this place for a coffee.

Came for a coffee at 9.20am and they had run out of almost all food items except for 3 plain croissants. And they wouldn't be having any more until tomorrow!! Went elsewhere for my morning coffee and snack.

Voodoo Cafe is a hidden gem in the city. The coffee is some of the best I've ever had, and the food is simply amazing. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with comfortable seating and a great selection of books and magazines to peruse. Don’t want to be a Karen… I am a barista and know how it is sometimes to satisfy complicated customers. Regardless, asking for and expecting an Iced Coffee shouldn’t be too complicated… I came in after a big and long day, I wanted to enjoy a nice big Iced Coffee (not an Iced Latte… Iced Coffee). Maybe I’m mistaking, if yes I apologize in advance. But asking for an Iced Coffee, I’m expecting to receive coffee with cream and ice cream, or just at least one of them… So I walk in and asked for “Iced Coffee with oat milk please, thank you very much” - Pay $6.50… Waited a fair bit, and then got told “Iced Latte with oat milk”, I stand up and see small carton cup, I ask “is it the Iced Coffee with oat milk?” “yes yes it is”… I look at it and open it, literally 2 shots of coffee (in a tiny cup) with 3 ice cubes and a bit of oat milk…. I didn’t want to make a scene or to embarrass the barista who was really nice. But I drove back home and had to buy an other one on my way because for once, juste once, I really wanted an Iced Coffee, cream and ice cream… I wonder why for coffee, ice cube and maybe what, 35ml of oat milk, I paid $6.50… 🫣

Cosy cafe on Wellington Street. Open until late – 10 pm Coffee is good on the weaker side – smooth and hot. Alternate Dairy Co milks and bites available. The guy with brown hair gave great service on a busy Friday night.

Felt really disgusting at Voodoo. Went for coffee at 9 pm as they are open till 10pm. The Barista (asian)lady was making coffee for others already and she said to me that we are closed. When I asked why she didn't have any solid answer and said she don't know. I mean what ??? If you are punching coffee for already other 2 customer. I really didn't get it why did you say No to a customer who came to have a cuppa especially while it was raining. I definitely won't be going again and tell my friends also to not visit here for a coffee.

We love the drinks we had here. The hot chocolate 🍫 was delicious and had the right amount of cocao and almond milk. As most of us don't have any tolerance for milk. Not watery and bland at all. The cappuccino with milk, I was told it was very good. The young man who served as was friendly and very apologetic that the decaffeinated grinder broke down and unfortunately he was sorry we weren't able to have something else on the menu due to technical issues but we were still happy with our choices. It's in the city, so parking is at a premium, and it does pretty much sit in front of the bus and train stations. So there is that option. No toilet facilities. it's in the building that it shares. It can also be very disruptive outside and around the cafe as it has lots of traffic, so it is not a quiet place to sit and have a chat.

Ice latte was good, very environmental friendly with paper cup, lid and straw, be aware though that the cup will become soft after a while, not just the straw. Some undesirable people hanging around the shopfront but otherwise a cosy cafe. Think there's a surcharge either for public holiday (2nd Jan) or for credit cards.

I went here cuz of their menu said that they have specialty coffee(pour over, siphon) but it was lie😂 They didn’t have specialty coffee. So I was disappointed. Their espresso has burnt flavor like other cafes. So my oat milk latte wasn’t that great. It wasn’t that bad but I went there for the specialty coffee. If they have specialty coffee it means they know about coffee well but the espresso wasn’t good also.. so yeah..

voodoo's coffee is great, and their extended opening hours are super convenient too, but they seriously need to update their menu/respect their displayed prices. for about the last 6 months their in-store menu has listed the large cold brew as $4.80 (previous price) when it's now $7. not only is this an ENORMOUS price increase but it's misleading customers! would be great to see this rectified.

Nice small cafe on the outskirts of Raine Square near Williams St. Limited indoor seating but we did manage to get a table at the bench. Lots of outdoor seating available too. My only qualm is is hand sanitizer wasn't freely available, but they did manage to make some available on asking. Coffee and cakes are good.

Went for the first time on a Saturday morning. I've seen a lot of negative reviews re: customer service but they were from a while ago, we had no troubles at all. My partner wanted a croissant but none available, the lady was very helpful in suggesting alternatives for us and we both enjoyed our bagels. Coffees were very tasty, it was a little odd that the 'large' size is clearly a medium cup- not sure if that was a mistake or on purpose, but still enjoyed it and would return & recommend.

Illogical and appalling service, I ordered a iced latte then some other customers ordered same as mine, the barista gave the iced latte randomly to others who were behind me in the line without any checking. That’s unbelievable for people queueing and serving accordingly. Does not make any sense.

Coffee was good but we had pretty bad service experience. We ordered an almond croissant but received a normal croissant. I brought it back to the counter. The lady said the reason we received a normal one was because they had run out of almond croissant. So i got a refund. Couldn't understand her logic but it was all fine as everyone make mistakes until a minite later I saw the customer behind us received an almond one. Reason of still giving 3 stars is that the coffee and other food we received were pretty good

Appalling service.. 22/1/22.Saturday morning 11.30am strawberry blonde older woman spent more time texting than serving our pastry. After 21mins waiting We had to go back to the counter and ask for the pastry we could see left sitting out on the bench, another server begrudgingly said yeah I’ll bring it over Dropped it on the table without any apology Will not return

Honestly, I don't know why this place has a lot of people. I guess it's because it's in the city centre, but the service and products that I received today are not worth it. The attitude of the person working in the cafe today at 11:30am was just rude. I ordered a small cappuccino with almond milk. I received a cold coffee, with a cold shot (I saw the guy pouring a cold shot in my cup) and oat milk, not what I asked and paid for. Then, my partner pointed out a Florentine, calling it "cookie" as we did not know that Florentine was its name. The guy working there said "oh, no, that's a Florentine, have you ever heard of Florentines?". I'm sorry but no, we have not heard of Florentines and I love to learn and try new things but not that way. In the end, the employee gave us the coffees and another biscuit, and when we asked about the "Florentine" the employee asked, ahh you want it? Ok. The taste of the coffee was not good at all 🙁 and after that experience with the employee, I am never coming back. i know you guys do not need my business and I'm glad that you are successful with other patrons. I work in hospitality too and I know how hard it is, but I have never behaved with such rude manners to any customer, no matter how stressed or tired I feel. I'm rating two stars, one for one biscuit (not the famous Florentine, that was not good at all) and one for the awesome coffee machine they use, was nice to see it.

Great coffee, ordered an oat latte around 2pm, and 1 minute later my coffee was ready. In case you're wondering, it was more of a bitter coffee than it was fruity. One of the best coffees I've had. Would go back if I'm hangin for a coffee in the city.

  • 1/5 Very S. 1 year ago on Google
The coffee here is hardly specialty, its closer to mcdonalds in quality. The coffee I had was harsh and over extracted and the milk was way too hot, the barista was running around like a headless chicken. Food is boring and uninspired, there are better places to go for lunch. The space is messy and cramped and a complete eyesore. Don't go here there are better places to get lunch and a coffee within a 5 minute walk.

Constructive criticism Understaffed. I feel sorry for the lady that has to prepare a docket that takes her more than 10 minutes; sadly companies don’t Appreciate the current effects of under staff venues and it’s effects on customer service. I wish the mentality of this coffee shop’s owner may change and understand that many people’s would rather go somewhere at night rather than wait 10 to 15 minutes just to get a coffee.
