Super
disappointing.
Called
in
with
my
niece
while
on
a
nice
walk
around
the
cove
for
a
quick
takeaway
of
their
homemade
apple
soda
and
a
honey
ice
tea.
Both
fav's
of
mine.
Served
by
a
friendly
young
fella
who
was
obviously
learning
the
till
and
order
system.
Thats
ok,
we
all
gotta
start
somewhere.
But
it
did
take
about
6
minutes,
and
had
to
repeat
the
order
3
times.
Then
left
waiting
for
10
minutes
while
staff
walked
around
seemingly
not
doing
anything
until
my
niece
and
I
noticed
a
huge
cockroach
crawling
over
the
counter.
I
have
to
say,
the
place
is
looking
tatty,
and
all
the
corners
and
nooks
where
dust
and
grime
has
collected.
Asked
about
the
status
of
my
order,
and
three
different
staff
members
each
said
the
other
was
doing
it.
It
was
NOT
at
all
busy
in
the
cafe.
A
full
twenty
minutes
of
waiting
and
I
asked
a
bit
more
firmly,
and
the
manager
started
the
order,
but
then
left
the
premises
without
explanation.
I
found
out
later
she
had
gone
to
get
ice.
The
staff
still
there
seemed
surprised
that
I
was
a
bit
annoyed.
We
ended
up
asking
for
our
money
back
after
25
minutes
had
passed,
and
left
with
a
refund,
but
the
fact
I
had
to
ask
so
many
questions
rather
than
the
manager
simply
saying
to
me
that
she
had
to
get
ice,
or
tell
her
staff
what
was
up,
was
so
unneccesary.
It's
the
latest
in
a
series
of
poor
experiences
at
this
place
and
its
so
disappointing
as
it
used
to
be
so
good.
What's
more,
the
unfinished
order
of
our
cold
drinks
without
ice
were
not
even
correct
anyhow.
They
had
begun
to
make
a
strawberry
soda
instead
of
an
apple
soda.
I
live
local
and
want
to
patronise
local
businesses,
but
Toast,
the
nearby
Partisan,
and
Kinky
Lizard
are
all
the
same
when
it
comes
to
less
than
impressive
service,
staff
who
are
clearly
only
working
"coz
its
a
job",
passionless,
unable
to
communicate
with
each
other,
much
less
the
customer,
particularly
when
all
these
places
are
charging
way
more
than
what's
deserved.

together
