The cold brew coffee was very nice, thank you. The espresso in my long mac had a peculiar taste, not for me but I can see why others might like it. With the staff's service - perhaps it was too late in the afternoon and near the end of their work day or some other reason I don't know - I didn't feel very welcomed. The wait staff seemed process-driven rather than focussing on giving customers a positive experience - not a lot of smiling or greeting. The waiter had almost an expression of contempt when I had ordered two coffees but didn't order food, as he snatched the menu away from my table.

A long time since I've been here and things have changed and not for the better..... It's great that they do table service and the small cake I had was yummy. I also had a coffee as needed a fix however for those that can't have lactose and can't stand the other so called milk substitutes, unfortunately you are out of luck as they are one of the VERY FEW cafes that don't do lactose free milk. Other disappointment was a guy working there was extremely loud. Good service and attentive but just needs to tone the volume a little. Other disappointment was for those people that pay only cash and don't use debit or credit cards, we'll don't even bother going in as they " do not accept cash" I can understand if we in WA had covid but we don't. I had to use a credit card of mine that has expired as I don't use it. I was surprised it worked unless it gets rerurned/ rejected after I left.. Very disappointing visit. See below my previous early review Great place for coffee, cake, breads and lovely pastries and breads. Staff are friendly and approachable. There are a few different areas you can sit including outside. Always seems to be busy too as popular place. Great food, great service

The donuts and cakes here are amazing and have been for years, their food however, is decidedly average. Fried chicken and egg over a pancake, once is enough. Their pies are an utter hit or miss experience with put most recent being an over salted miss. The beef sandwich I tried during the last visit… dry and categorised as ‘never again’. If only Mary Street could apply the same consistency of their sweets to their savoury offerings.

What a lovely brunch we have there. We sat outside and the service was awesome too. I ordered lamb flat bread sth. It was nice.

Delicious food at a reasonable price for Beaufort Street. Ordered the salmon hollandaise which was a good size portion with flavours that matched perfectly. Even though they were reasonably busy the service was attentive but relaxed. Will come back here when I'm in the area looking for food.

My family and I went to this place for lunch. I got a Fried Chicken Pancake (25 dollars) and I ordered a Eggs and Toast (14 dollars) for my son. I also ordered a Regular Coffee. Very large cup and tasted good. The fried chicken went well with the Maple Syrup which was surprising. Pancakes well made. Not powdery. I got a taste of the Eggs and Toast and the eggs were well cooked

Bad experience at this outlet. Place was not particularly clean. Service was alright but food was bad. The dumplings was the biggest disappointment. Over 16 dollars for just 5 small dumplings and it did not taste nice. The soup it was served with was average as well. Tried the chicken pancake, chicken was over fried and pancake was average. Milkshake was very bad. Iced coffee was good tho. Overall very average place. Hopefully the other outlets are better.

I ordered flat white and it was perfect for my taste. Fried chicken on the pancake is very crispy like Korean chicken. All the staff here are really kind. 👍 Peanuts go really well with pancakes.

Always pretty reliable! Good Friday wasn’t a good day for them, understaffed and 30 mins wait on 2 hot crossed buns and donut…they only realised they missed our order when they were clearing the drinks. Made worse by crusty melted cheese on the bottom of both toasted HC buns (obviously not cleaning their hot plates between orders which isn’t very hygienic)

First time here. Apparently Mary Street Bakery on Wellington St has amazing bacon & egg burgers, so decided to try the one on Beaufort. Very happy we did. Delicious food and coffee, and service with a smile! Highly recommend. 🤩

This is what $6 worth of bacon on the side looks like. One rasher. The blandest tasting breakfast I’ve ever had. Couldn’t finish it. It’s a shame this business has gone down hill

We had a Macchiato and a Long Coffee. The Macchiato was extremely tiny. I am used to the Italian version and this was smaller. The expresso was very sour which means that it was drawn on too low of a temperature. The Chocolate Croissant was pretty good.

I tried their scrambled eggs with chives and buttered toast. It was simply divine! The eggs were perfectly fluffy, and the chives added a delightful freshness. The buttered toast was a comforting addition that completed the meal perfectly. Now, about the coffee. While everything else at Mary Street Bakery is exceptional, the coffee, for me, fell slightly short of the high standards set by their other offerings. It had a decent flavour, but I was hoping for a richer and more robust taste. It's worth noting that coffee preferences can vary greatly among individuals, so it may still appeal to many.

I never realised that Mary Street bakery is actually in Beaufort Street, but I suppose that makes sense because if it's called Beaufort Street Bakery I probably wouldn't find it. Mary Street is reliably good for their coffee and cake, vibes are chill with eclectic music, but for whatever reason it's never really been the first place I think about when I want to chill and get coffee.

Always always my go to place in Perth. The fried chicken waffle was simply unforgettable. Love the chill vibe. Donuts were so good too.

Delicious food, great value for money and the most exceptional service I have ever experienced. Ordered the scrambled egg on toast, chicken pancakes and the most delicious hash browns I have ever tasted. Highly recommend 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Some days the planets align and something wonderful is created. Today, that thing was the humble jam doughnut from Mary Street Bakery in Highgate. From the slightly crispy golden exterior, coated with caster (not powdered) sugar, to the sensational raspberry jam filling, it was perfection in a fully recyclable box (so no guilt involved). Sitting alongside its slightly more exotic cousins, the classic jam doughnut could be easy to overlook. That would be a terrible mistake. It's a classic for a reason! The jam to doughnut ratio was excessive and therefore perfect. The challenge (should you choose to accept it) is to eat the whole thing without licking your lips... Trust me, it's impossible!

Had the best donut at Mary St Bakery, lemon, maple and pecan, so good. Service was excellent as well.

Lovely experience at Mary St Bakery. The food, coffee and juice were delicious. The beef sandwich is probably one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! The scotch eggs were crafty and very tasty, the meal could be a bit bigger but it was nice regardless. The carrot and quinoa salad was addicting, I couldn’t stop eating it! Great service from the whole team.

Food and coffee were delicious as usual. Extra stars for the staff (male, tall and slim) who was very friendly and cheerful 😉 Compared to the rude staff in Mary Street Bakery in west Leederville, we rather to go to this one for sure!!
