Bouncers are so aggressive and outright thugs who think it's fine to hit women and slam them to the floor. Other staff don't seem to care this is happening. Absolutely disgusting lower than low. Avoid at all cost.

Security are over the top. they grabbed my mate by the neck and collar of his shirt for a warning about vaping which he misunderstood as we were outside thinking it was okay. Security also on a number of times would barge through with no apology and ended up knocking my misses on the ground. I went to the bar to ask to talk to someone but the bar-staff told me they were too busy to take complaints…. why is a major establishment too busy to take a complaint about there staff grabbing people by the neck. My mate didn’t do anything and was willing to go chat. Horrible

Place is always busy with lovely ambience. Staff friendliness could be a hit & miss and sadly they don’t have a system to serve customers in line so just grab a bar staff to order instead of waiting hoping someone would come serve you. They run amazing daily specials including Steak and Chicken Parmi. Steak was absolutely divine and beautifully cooked... even better than high end restaurants I’ve been to. Definitely made it to the list of regular dining places. Highly recommended!

Ordered from my phone and it took 40 mins for a drink, an entree and a main to come out. When the food came out it was cold and bland. People who ordered at the bar got their food first.

I ordered a cocktail and was given a buzzer that wasn’t called. When I asked about my drink I was given something completely different and when I asked what I was drinking staff couldn’t tell me and told me that because I had tried it there was nothing they could do. I’m not in the habit of complaining but I was on a bus tour and had a time limit and one thing after another happening I couldn’t enjoy myself and it started the night on a negative note

Best meal deals around. Ours was a mid - week steak dinner for $10 😱 It was amazing. I love the venue - my first time here. The atmosphere was pumping with all the age groups. Push chairs, families, friends dinning or playing tenpin or just having a good time in the selections of rooms to just sit & enjoy a beer, if you like. It was a lovely experience 🥰

i ordered a drink at 8:35 and it came at 9:25pm off the table 155 and i got told that it had already come. it most definitely didn’t come. i work in hospitality and if this same thing happened at my work i would be extremely apologetic. when my drink came they rolled their eyes and walked off. The service was disgusting. Just because it is a club environment tonight doesn’t mean you get to disregard the customers thoughts and feelings. The customer is always right and this has not been proven here.

Update: In the 2 years since the positive Paella experience we have visited the Lookout many times for a cold drink, a quick lunch or both. Our latest experience was noteworthy. We had the strange but delicious Cheeseburger spring rolls (3) as an entree, Barramundi x 2 and a Nasi Goreng with chicken. They were generous and very tasty. The fish cooked perfectly. The staff are always welcoming and efficient. Just had the most amazing Paella. Had quite a few in my time, mainly home made by expert aunties. This Sunday treat at the Lookout is chock full of delicious proteins and each ingredient is perfectly cooked. Great value for money and what a location. Two pints for $12 was a bonus for our table.

Great ribeye steak, and great salmon! Trying to order from the phone, pay in advance, and having no one wait on you or check on you (they just drop food and leave) is a different experience than we are used to, but the food made it worth it …

Wish they didn't take the pool away. It was nice feeling comfortable wearing swim wear and soak the sun in without having to be directly at the beach. Food is still good, atmosphere not as great. Want the beach feel back.

Great $10 steak night. Also loved the desert, we got the chocolate fondent and caramel fudge. However there was chewed up food down the side of the cushions and I accidentally put my hand in it yuk Not a reflection of the staff but prob some gross person before me

Got redirected to the main entrance when first got in, only to be denied entry as me and my friend apparently got “kicked out” before we even entered the premises. When the security guard (pretty sure he was a bald guy) asked two other staff members if we did get kicked out (in which they both said no) he still denied us entry as he definitely got us mistaken for other people that had previously gotten kicked out. while I appreciate security have a job to do, its not really great when they can’t do it right. Shame as it was our first time even going here, won’t be going again. You know when the girl at the door told us to go to El Grotto instead, this wasn’t the first time the guard has done this!

Beautiful lunch this afternoon. We were pleasantly surprised that it was Monday 1/2 price pizza special, so this pizza was just $13. Also had the halloumi salad which was very tasty and perfect serving size. The bartender/server Isadora who assisted us could not have been more helpful, conscientious and friendly- a true delight. Will definitely return soon.

If you were around before 2019, then you know. The lookout is packed, all the time. Loud people, and not much space at times due to the bookings. The floors have been sticky since 2018 and the tables are sometimes not cleaned up. The food rations are quite disappointing- as you're paying for the view - even if you're not facing the ocean... HOWEVER, the staff is very friendly, and the services is very quick. I've never had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a meal to arrive and no longer than 5 minutes for a drink. Busiest on Wednesdays, Friday, Saturdays and Sundays.

Ordered three $10 medium steaks came with three well done steaks with wrong sauces😅 But we all finished our meals. Love the chips here 🍟 Bartenders are really nice and the cocktail taste good👍🏻

I am a Support Worker who regularly takes a client here. The staff and management consistently go above and beyond in their service and kindness to the both of us. The beach view is amazing and the food is fantastic. I honestly can't recommend this place enough, it's become one of my client's favourite places, and mine too. 10/10

The Lookout seems to be under new management and quality and customer care appears to have deteriorated. We are regular customers and at our last visit, a party of 5, we all ordered the steak special. One rare was "well done" One rare was medium One had a very small serving of chips One missed the mushroom sauce and only got a small splash with ONE slice of mushroom. I requested a cloth or napkin from the staff to dry the table. They said they will bring - still waiting.

Top place to settle in for cool drink or two and maybe grab a bite to eat. Good options available. Great music adds to the atmosphere. If you can, nab a table closer to the street. If you're not people watching, you can gaze out over the waves and out to sea. There's always something going on out there.

My wife and I go to the Lookout every week and we love it!!! We are always super welcome by their security team at the door. Btw they always make sure it is a very safe place, they remove all people showing intoxication or with aggressive behaviour, security is now really good. We love the food there, service using QR code is super quick and they have awesome Djs, last Saturday a girl playing sax was awesome! Recommend it always my full experience have been great!

Wednesday night it's a big deal. Just $10 for a 200gr steak with chips and salad. I choose the mushroom which was a perfect combination. I'll be back next time to try the chicken parmi as well...

Good drinks and good place to bowl. Food was alright but chips very salty (only on my plate , partner said his were fine) but Emily was absolutely fantastic with helping any problems with bowling and was very polite and genuine! Thanks Emily!

Good location and staff (both venue and security). Ordered nachos without being aware that it has beef (chilli corn carne) until a few bites. Requested the staff if they can replace it with meat free and the chef inside politely agreed to her request. One thing to remember when going to any venues around the world is to treat others with respect and you will be treated the same.

I was very wary of this place after the incident last year where the security had apparently kicked a boy out for being to drunk when he had a disability. But coming back tonight has been a great experience. The security guards were so great! Such a different experience to last year when I came. They were so respectful to me and everyone I saw they came in contact with. Such a credit to the venue!👍🏽✌🏽😊

The bowling area is modern, fun, and reasonably priced. Good beers on tap.

Spent Melbourne Cup at The Lookout. We were so impressed with the service, the food and the value provided for the package. The team did a great job!! Think 3 hours would have been enough however 4 was certainly fun! Thanks 😊
