Our bathroom smelt like sewage the whole time we were there. With 3 kids we couldn’t shower them in that smell. When handing the keys back and notifying them of the problem they didn’t even apologise and just wanted their keys back. Health and safety will need to review this caravan park and I have notified them after no appropriate response from the caravan park.

We stayed at the camp site with 3 other families. 3 out of the 4 cabins had issues, our cabin had a strong smell of urine & the bathroom sink ran constantly. To make things worse we noticed signs on lots of the cabins stating - residents only past this point do not enter, to find out that they have people staying all throughout the camp in Covid quarantine, this had not been brought to our attention at booking or check in, when we contacted Trevor the manager he told us ‘he didn’t need to tell us shit’ when we stated we came for a weekend away as we are healthcare workers his response ‘if you came here to get away from Covid you’ve come to the wrong place’ I am disgusted by this mangers attitude & how inefficiently they are dealing with Covid protocols. This place is putting travellers at risk allowing people in quarantine to mix with holiday makers - allowing them to walk round camp, not wearing masks & all throughout the campsite not separated. We will definitely not recommend or return. Staff have extremely poor communication & customer service skills. It really turned what should have been an awesome family fun weekend away to a nightmare.

We have stayed here many times in the past and have given it a 5 star.. This time we will not be! My partner and I and our 2 children waited 1 hour in 42 degree heat because our room wasn't ready at 2pm (which was our check in time) and just to top it off our children went to the public toilet in the park and were told by the cleaner that they couldn't enter while she was in there! Absolutely discusted! The customer service today was also extremely horrible! Do not recommend this place and will not be back!

I loved staying here. The girls at Reception are very friendly and welcoming and very helpful, the same can be said for the guys when you need to swap a gas bottle. I'll be heading back to this park next year. I can't say anything about the cabins as I had my own caravan.

Had a good sized paved site close to amenities. Park well looked after, amenities clean. Plenty of washing machines at $4 a pop. Reception friendly and helpful. Great location with Maison Saint-Honore, Pinelli Estate and Funk Cider within walking distance. Playground on site for the kids. Will definitely return as we enjoyed our stay.

Always great service and a great location. They’ve recently moved the campsite to a better area and included a communal kitchen. I’ve never had any issues here and there is a polite & friendly atmosphere amongst everyone. They’re also strict on noise and loutish behaviour - surprised they let me in to be honest? * Good hot shower 🚿

Lovely and clean, with great service and friendly staff. Need to be here for possible surgery and the girls went out if their way to help us with minimal inconvenience. Had to get accommodation for friends who lost their car and van in an accident no problem. We have been on the road for over 6 months mostly been good but this is great!😀😀👬🐕

Absolutely wonderful! We love it here! Facilities, location and staff are wonderful. Having great staff makes any stay extra special. Amanda, Sandy and Nathan all went out of their way to ensure we were happy, comfortable and had everything we needed, very friendly and welcoming staff. Thank you for having us!

Called in regards to purchasing a private cabin within the park grounds. The staff here (specifically Jess - the office supervisor) were very dismissive. They have requested my intellectually disabled brother and his partner provide Police Clearances, character references and provide proof that he can afford to buy. He has the money saved up to purchase the $129’000 property. I strongly believe this park to be biased, and to employee very rude and dismissive staff. Jess was by far the rudest one I spoke too. Still waiting on the park manager to call me back. I am only told without a meeting to take place to better judge someone’s character that he wouldn’t be a good fit for the park.

Spent a week there recently - excellent spot with good access to Swan Valley attractions. Really helpful staff with special thanks to Amanda who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Definitely 10/10.

Great place to stay for a holding. The cabin we stayed in was very well maintained and cleaned very thoroughly. They even left tea, coffee and hot chocolate sachets as complimentary items. The draws were well stocked with plenty of utensils, cookware and cutlery.

Lacklustre staff lacking any customer service skills. Showers that run hot and cold during the time you try and have a shower. Dirty shared amenities block with limited security since no one locks door and door doesn’t close. Not something you really want to do unless it’s a convenient place for what you want. Less time spent in there premises the better. Wasn’t cheap either at $75/night powered site…. Yes I supplied my own accommodation. Could you imagine trying to use even $10/night of electricity?????? Location suited this trip, can’t imagine doing it again

It was new and clean. Totally satisfied with the cabin 401. There are cooking utensils, fridge, stove, oven and microwave. Families with young kids might want to move the knives to higher level. Otherwise all is good. Highly recommend to get a cabin for the experience.

We enjoyed our camp stay here last school holidays. Kids loved the pool even though it was freezing, pool was clean. Our camp site size was on the smaller side as we had 10 person tent and gazebo but we just managed to make it fit. Nice location to explore Swan Valley, ladies in reception friendly and helpful.

This is a perfect spot if you want to be out of the city but close enough if you need. Surrounded by various vineyards and boutique breweries, this Discovery Park is unique. The staff are incredibly friendly, accomodating and helpful. They provide a wealth of area knowledge and recommendations. We have a dog and two kids and have had an absolute blast at this park. @m5_adventures

Arrived after hours. Instructions were sent by text. Had a powered site. Space was small but ok. Park was pretty full, but facilities were clean. Liked that there was hand sanitizer available. Yes, we would stay there again, even though there were 2 cigarette butts to be found on our site. I just put them in the bin.

Nice place but bays are very tight to back into. We were placed in one of their large bays and we have a 23 foot van with a RAM and having a cabin virtually up to the kerb on the other side of the road caused us great difficulty in placing our van on site

Not only caversham caravan park but all discovery parks are totally unfair especially if you are young. Always got noise complaints at 8:00 pm even though the noise time is supposed to be 10:00 pm and we not Evan that loud but we got threats from staff to kick us out. People shine lights in your eyes aswell at night. Wouldn't recommend staying there..

Really good location, right near Whiteman Park. Really new chalets. Very easy no contact check in. Pool and playgrounds on site are well maintained and great for kids.

I had an overnight stay here at Discovery Parks. I checked in after 5 however the process to access the after-hours safe was easily explained in a text message. The outdoor light was left on which I appreciated. The cabin was immaculate and comfy. The bed linen smelt nice and fresh. Nothing bad to report, I would happily stay here again.

I booked a cabin for a 2 night getaway for my family and the location is good, customer service was good and the rooms were clean although we packed up and left a day early due to the fact that the cabins have no wifi indoors and the place has no phone reception indoors, the 5 working TV channels is all we had, no DVD player and no internet to keep the kids entertained. As we were packing up the neighbour staying next door asked us if we had wifi or phone reception so we know we wernt the only ones! Hopefully management take this on board because no phone or wifi would be a huge deal breaker for many

Wow this holiday park is great. A few improvement and it would be perfect. Great for a few days away with vineyards close by. Great staff, lovely chalets, or bring your caravan.

Quick mid week stay due to work commitments. Clean cabin, loved the separate bedroom to lounge room.

Great experience . Clean , nicely presented caravan park . Had a good air conditioner in small chalet and the staff were very friendly . Can’t wait to stay again! Right near Swan Valley just perfect

They don't tell you that: you adjacent to the Perth airport flight path; you are next to a major arterial route; the wifi only works 5m from the office; the place is 70% permanent residence and very few caravan sites; we did not get our ensuite services in the 8 nights we were there; we asked for a mop head to be replaced as the existing one was disgusting; the sites are very small for larger vans - the only reason why I gave them a 3 star was because of the staff - they were very very pleasant and 4 stars for location

I have recommended discovery parks to my friends but I would not recommend swan valley grass camp site anymore. Reason: It was very dry ( no green grass at all and no trees ) and there wasn’t anything to protect us against the wind and Sun. it Would have been nice to actually see some green grass an a couple of trees in the area

Nice park, nice showers, swimming pool is a bit small. Unfortunately, the reception staff (blonde, wearing glasses) were very rude and filled with self-importance, so it left a bitter taste from our stay.

We booked 2 hours ahead for a powered site for our motor home upon arrival we proceeded to our site to find it was amongst several permanent cabins with elderly residents, power tools roaring on either sides of us from their carports/worshops. We felt like we were in a retirement village not a holiday park. When I spoke to reception to ask for a refund as we were not happy with the site and the other site offered to us was very similar they told us they could not give me a refund, that it was their policy. Eventually they agreed to refunding one night. We moved on to another caravan park out of pocket $74 & very disappointed.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin that was pretty much brand new. The park has everything you need and minutes from all the swan valley’s attractions.

Not too far from the Perth Airport and East Perth TransWA Bus terminus. Not too far from a coles supermaket neither, for a quick 12min walk from the Park Entry. Love it.

We have stayed here quite a few times in cabins and now a caravan. A lot of work has been done in upgrading the park which makes our stay more enjoyable. You cannot walk past a staff member without being greeted with a smile and a hello with total sincerity. Word must have got out that we were staying at the Park as part of my wife Susan’s birthday as a little gift bag and a bottle of wine was given to her. You don’t get much better than that. Keep up the great work and keep smiling. Be back soon. Cheers 🍻 Paul

Great little park. Close to several different wineries. So much for families to see and do in the Swan Valley, but also so much to do at this great little park! The camp kitchen looks to be newly refreshed as well, which was an added bonus. Pool was well maintained. My only comaint would be that the grass was quite prickly - make sure you're always wearing shoes! We'll be back for sure.

Staff are very lovely and do a wonderful job of making guests feel welcome. I received an upgrade upon arrival which was nice. However, I have a 5G phone with Telstra and the service here is shocking. The park itself is pretty run down. No WiFi for guests? The park and cabin is run down and could do with a revamp. The tv show Trailer Park Boys comes to mind when I stay here lol.

Wow. What an amazing location. Good customer experience when we arrived with advice that they were there to help if needed. Obviously lots of permanent residents here but on the other hand the new cabins for tourists looked awesome. Our spot backed onto a vineyard. A visit to Pinelli winery is a must. 3rd stay at a Gday park this year. Did not disappoint. Thanks again Gday parks and team in the Swan Valley.

An older caravan park with very helpful staff. The park is located next to vineyards. There are shops located nearby including a coles supermarket. The facilities are good and cleaned very well

What more can you ask for really a nice big park right in the middle of the Swan Valley our site had views of the nearby winery and vines,.there is a little bit of noise from above as it's close to the flight path, amenities are big and clean with plenty of pressure in the showers .

Nice place to stay only problem I found was if you going to put campers on an unpowered site next to a main rd, make sure you have good fencing like a block wall to separate the campers from people walking past, and traffic, very noisy at night with traffic and drunks driving past, other than that staff were great and helpful👍

We live in the Wheatbelt regional area and we stay here quite often when we need to travel to Perth. Always clean, Always ready to help, Always a superb place to stay. A week ago we booked in for 2 nights and had a medical emergency happen and I needed to stay a few extra days. It was over the big long weekend, they were very busy but Michelle and staff went above and beyond to help me out. They are fabulous and compassionate people. A big Thank you from us and I highly reccomend this park to anyone looking for a place to stay.

Descent size powered site for Caravans. Amenities are always clean. The ladies has a hair dryer, and a bath tub. Pleasant surprise. Friendly staff. Recommended.

Yes it had been raging but the very large and deep puddles of water and the unkept grass made for a very uncomfortable set up of our caravan.. We were offered another site but it was too small for our van and very wet as well.. Have stayed many times at this park for its location… but never again..

  • 3/5 Rachel B. 1 year ago on Google
Booked a chalet for 1 night as is close to wineries. Good customer service, room was well presented had everything you need, and a good size down side: bed needs replacing, is like the springs have gone on one side. And it wasn't as quiet as i would have liked late at night with occasional noisy people and the odd plane flying over.

This was my second time here, another very happy stay yet again. This is in a great location to explore everything the Swan Valley has to offer. The cabin was great and the site was nice and peaceful. The staff were lovely and very understanding when I told them that my 2 year old son had broken something of value in the room. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Had a weekend away with my grandchildren. All children have 'issues' so going to new places unsettles one in particular. We had the executive villa and it was 10m from the pool and about 30m from the park. The weekend weather was terrific so therefore we spent a lot of time by the pool. The water was freezing but that didn't deter the children who made immediate friends. Upon entry to the park, I noticed how well established and clean and tidy it was. The villa was spotless and absolutely perfect for us. After our weekend was finished, returning the key to Reception was greeted by terrific staff, not over the top, down to earth which suits me. As we were leaving the children asked if we could go back maybe Christmas holidays.

A beautiful caravan park surrounded by vineyards. Had stayed in the one of new 2 bedroom cabins with was under offer for $135 / night. Quality interiors, spacious bed rooms and lounge with separate bathroom and toilet. Ideal place to stay with family.

Stayed in cabin 208 for 2 nights. Great location. Our cabin needed maintenance due to water damage in the kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom needed a good scrubbing, especially the white floor. Our hot water system died and we had to wait until the office was opened at 9am on the Saturday morning for the maintenance man to replace the gas bottle so that we could cook breakfast have showers and clean out to check out on time.

The 2 room Cabin was very well organised and self contained it was a delight to stay in, it was very clean and tidy, and the main bedroom in the Cabin was very comfortable and warm. The kitchen has everything for cooking and we highly recommend the Park, the Staff are very friendly and very helpful...Lovely location.
