Beautiful and good regional park for jogging, relaxation, and strolling walks. Keep within the broad track route as there were snake risk warning signboards. There were lots of wild birds. Enjoy! (2023-09)

What a beautiful spot. I only had a short amount of time here, but it would be well worth spending time walking along this picturesque river and bushland. The footbridge across the river is beautiful, especially at sunset! There is a lovely park area with benches and gazebos. A Perth gem!

Nice walking trail around the park with a few different options. Good option for a walk in the Perth metro area if you don't have time to head out further to a national park. πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈπŸ‘

Fantastic nature reserve with lovely scenic walkways and cafe at main entrance. Unfortunately there's quite a large amount of homeless like people that tend to take refuge within the park. Whilst friendly and never in large groups, its not great walking past and seeing people in such conditions nor the mess that they live in and also leave behind

Beautiful nature, lots of BBQ and picnic area, there is a playground. Saw a few people fishing but not sure if there is fish. Nice and quiet in the bush land, had a lovely walk, you can see many birdies :)

Really nice walking with plenty of spots to stop for picnics. The River also good for canoeing and I love running around here too. Just watch out for snakes in the summer!

I pay my respects to the Nuungar people their leaders past present and upcoming as the original and traditional custodians of the land. Simply breathtaking and the sounds of nature are all around … the fact you can kayak is a huge bonus. It makes for serene walks even with your pooch

An absolute delight to visit. This area has been really well developed by the local council to celebrate the wonderful natural beauty that the Canning River has to offer. It's combination of quite dirt tracks that preserve well the natural state of the environment, to beautiful paved walks that weave and meander through waterways down to cafes, and indeed past well kept lawns and modern thought-out playgrounds, makes this a wonderful walk for people of all ages to enjoy. I hope it encourages other families to spend time together in a way that's inclusive of all the generations, like it did for mine.

Really nice park but being loved to death of a weekend, very crowded & parking at a premium so get there early. The Cafes a bit pricey but good food. There's a ride on miniature train there that operates on some Sundays & great bike paths.

Kids love this place, great walking trails. I'm a big kid at heart so I loved it also! Who doesn't love a train ride! It's a decent ride I think especially for the price. 3 dollars per child and 6 for an adult. At least once I take the kids in the school holidays and make a day of it. The playground is great, the only thing would be if it was under sails, especially now the weather is fining up. However in saying this slip slop slap just remember to reapply and your good to go! πŸ‘πŸ˜

Volunteered to plant shrubs there to reduce pollutants getting into our main stream water ways. Fantastic initiative. Loved it.

Lovely park for a relaxing walk along the Riverside with a wetland full of birdlife and the council gardens all very close together, as well as multiple open grassed areas that create a serene atmosphere and blocks out the city bustle for a little while. A family favourite.

Canning River Regional Park is a beautiful park located near Canning Vale, just a short drive from Perth City. Accessible via the Albany Highway near Cannington, this park offers a peaceful and serene escape from the city. The park is well-maintained and offers a variety of recreational opportunities, including walking trails, picnic areas, and scenic views of the river. I was impressed by the lush greenery and natural beauty of the park, which provided a peaceful and calming atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a place to picnic with friends and family, or simply to enjoy a quiet walk along the river, Canning River Regional Park is the perfect destination. The park is also a great place for bird-watching, with a variety of species to be seen. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Canning River Regional Park and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic outdoor experience near Perth City.

Always a nice place to be. Close to home. Coffee if you want it. Lots of walks. Not much fun if it's raining, but otherwise a peaceful space any time you need it.

Went here for the first time today and found this place to be really great. Cute little Cafe (Canning River Cafe) love the fact that it's dog friendly! There was a decent size enclosed area for your pets to run around in, biggest I've seen so far but also a great walking trail for you to take them on the lead. Very family friendly

Wonderful park for walks and picnicking. There is a cafe nearby and plenty of walking paths. Small bank for some kayaking or paddling. Grassed areas are great for a picnic. Bbqs, toilets and bin facilities. Adequate parking but can get busy so park along the street

A lovely place to walk through, and relatively easy to follow. There are no path maps unfortunately, but as long as you have Maps on your phone, you should be all set if you felt lost. Nice benches also dotted along
